I would assume his habit of blurting out "Beach, please!" intermittently as if he's some sort of deranged parrot would make any deficiencies in his physical appearance a moot point.

I have a pretty high tolerance of tattoos and I like a lot of the ones I see. But I think anyone who gets a face tattoo, even a very small one, is needy for attention in a way that I don't think is psychologically healthy.

I like tatts but not all over, especially not the face...that said, I hadn’t watch his show in a great while so I was surprised those million dollar scratchoffs didnt buy anything grand in todays market...the 5 million dollar winners did get nicer upscale homes

Some tatts can be ok, even sexy, but his are so jarring, what are they bat wings? Dragon wings? Empty chaps? All scattered throughout with very unsexy doodles. She needs to fire her designer.

Some men can pull off tats like these.

I'm with the crowd that never thought him particularly attractive, though I did root for him as one of the first openly (and loudly) gay personalities on HGTV.

Then I realized that he applied the style of a little girl's stuffed animal tea party to every project and gave up, long before the tattoos called his design sense into question.

I suppose we should ASSume that he's got some kind of tattoo that circles his butthole as well?

I really can't understand anyone who gets a face tattoo. I'm not one of DL's maiden aunts about tattoos, either. I have two. But that is just a huge, huge no for me.

I used to think that he was the cutest thing. Then he got tattoos.

I used to work with him in the late 90's, when he was at Disney. I think we both were snooty to each other--he seemed to be friendly to only select people (in that "Girlfriend!" way you see on his show). I never thought him rude and I likely came across as having a stick up my own ass. We never interacted much outside work despite having overlapping sorta best friends. He was very... Territorial. Well, he got his fame and fortune and I'm here on DL so he won. But, on the bright side, I don't have issues I'm covering up with tattoos.

From video footage he just put up on his Instagram page of new episodes of his TV show, it looks like HGTV has him cover up the face tattoo with make-up. .. That one is nowhere to be seen.

If you'll remember, during his season of Design Star, they did outdoor installations and the public was invited to come by. One of his guests was none other than Jay McCarroll, winner of S1 of PR. I have to think Jay had a big crush on David and hoped his fame would allow the two to meet.

He’s not a bad looking guy. I’d say for me, at the end of the day it’s a classic case of less is more. I’m not a huge fan of tattoos but clearly you have to be intentional about them. It almost always seems each successive one is less so, for so many.

Pretty soon he'll have to resort to helping elderly folks find a new 55+ trailer park after they've hit it big at the church Bingo game.

I think he has too much money in his pocket and is looking for ways to be extra creative. I do think his impulse to have so many tattoos is a reflection of his inner thoughts. His tattoos appear chaotic and I believe his mind is the same. He needs to stop with the tattoos. However, he seems to be ok with his looks and I doubt he will stop. It could be drugs, too. His body does look like a drug users body, but who knows. I do know drugs have been an issue for him in the past.

He won Design Star and did a couple of other HGTV shows, none of which really showcased any talent, IMO. If he's wanting to be creative, he does need to pitch more design shows. As it stands, he's a talent show winner and host. Nothing about him being a designer, artist or even creative.

His show entirely depends on the realtor in any given area of the lottery winner giving him houses to show. All he does is swan about in cringey costumes.
