I think it’s one of those weird markers of growing up when you realize someone being really social doesn’t mean they actually have charisma. Bash is an extreme extrovert and Kit and joe are not, but interviewers, random celebrities they meet, designers, etc. all seem absolutely entranced by them in a way they are not with bash, I think because Joe and Kit are quieter and more introverted but actually have crazy charisma. It's SO sweet and buoyant (on screen cartoon flowers floating around!), but I can't be cynical about it. Well, I probably could, but I honestly don't want to. I liked the main characters and all the side characters. I liked that while there were setbacks, it ended in a good place, and Nick never completely freaked out, leaving Charlie heartbroken. He has serious self esteem issues and has gotten a lot of online hate often in the comments from magazines articles. It's interesting contrasting Bash and Kit as two guys that came up as child actors. I think the generational wealth thing really made a difference in their upbringings. Bash was coddled and became disconnected from reality before he was even out of puberty, apparently. Meanwhile, upper-middle class Kit has stayed humble even with more success than Bash.

Also, related to their childhoods, someone in that Heartstopper Facebook group mentioned a while back that Kit chose and directed an anti-homophobia play in fourth form at Whitgift.
