The writing of the book was already iffy, but they're messing with so much of it that I don't know if it'll end up being for better or for worse. Alex was my favorite character and they already removed June and made him an only child, kept his parents married, combined Rafael and Liam into an ex (which, what the hell are they doing with his bisexuality? are they getting rid of the realization altogether and he knows he's bi going in?). I don't know. On top of that, haven't heard anything great about TZP's acting.

Maybe this august or September they’ll meet up at some point, who knows.

R36 yeah I’ve said this before and maybe I’m just deluded but I think Kit, will, tobie are all in a relatively “easy” (still not fun, but ok) situation in that the person they’re closer to who is being treated shittily seems to want to keep the peace so they can kind of keep on keeping on. If things persist especially while filming s3, though, and joe ends up cracking and admitting it isn’t ok, it’ll be tougher but I can’t see them wanting to stay close to bash.

R39 frankly I know Alice doesn’t give an shit about joe, and normally I would say a breakup doesn’t mean you should write someone out of the show. But when the ex is being an absolute dick and making working environments uncomfortable (I know he had some fun moments, but Joe did look palpably miserable and uncomfortable at pride), he’s not getting the show critical praise and a lot of fans dislike him, and he’s making the award nominated, fan liked, marvel actor lead’s life harder, ESPECIALLY while filming very high pressure, important, dramatic scenes about trauma, best to leave him out.

He looked down at Pride and irritated but other than that, he didn't look distraught like some on here were saying. I think Bash distanced himself from the cast way before the breakup so I don't see him hanging out with them regularly anyway.

I don’t think Alice would write him out of the show, and I definitely don’t think Joe would ask her to. But if Ben’s storyline is mostly resolved his presence in s3 will probably be mostly in flashbacks. He can probably film all his scenes in one or two days. And if he’s obnoxious, I could see Joe asking Bash to not be allowed on set days he’s not filming.

Random but my favorite thing about Kit and Joe's dynamic is that Kit always looks like he's amused by Joe. And Joe's always giddy and sassy around him. It's a fun dynamic to watch. Wish we had more interviews.

R167 Joe was filming Agatha in Atlanta Jan-June and Bash very rarely visited him. Then in early May, Joe had a few days off and traveled to Chichester to see Bash’s play. A few days after leaving Joe posted and then almost immediately deleted that he was in his slut era on DL. Two weeks after that he started following an OF model from Atlanta named Nick, and also posted a story wearing Nick’s hoodie. A week after that (end of May), Joe went to NYC and posted a quarter of the back of Nick’s head in a story. That’s when DL figured out the hoodie connection. Bash’s sister unfollowed Joe on IG the next day.

When Joe finally got back to the UK he didn’t immediately start seeing Bash again. Instead, he started spending time with a 29 year old tattoo artist. Bash also started posting lots of obnoxious stories about how fabulous his life is. The only time they’ve been publicly seen together was London Pride. At Pride, Bash was a manic attention whore, and Joe looked extremely uncomfortable.

Anything in the classroom was particularly shit, and the beach (though controversially I think that scene is terrible so I’m bias). I don't have any issue with the lighting in either season, but the color grading for this new season is garbage. Kit and Joe both look like they're on a transplant list for a new liver.

S2 the lighting seems to favour him, he looks gorgeous, but Kit seems to be lit full in the face so you can’t pick up his jawline and other angles of his face. Colour grading looks better on Joe S2 but barely. Also, Kit’s wardrobe was generic and kind of awful S1 but some of it looks genuinely terrible S2. It only properly hit Gao last August. Alongside Heartstopper castmate Joe Locke, he was at the Donmar Warehouse in London performing a play called The Trials, about a jury of young people sentencing their elders to execution for the climate crisis. Gao loved the “brutal” script. “I was almost putting myself on trial while doing it. It was an angry play, radical.” But people weren’t coming to see the play so much as they were coming to see Gao and Locke. Security measures were put in place, because “it was so intense – not in a bad way, just in a way,” Gao says.

“The impact it was having on me was slightly negative,” he admits. He experienced spiralling anxiety going straight from the play into filming Heartstopper season two. “I had a bit of a moment in September.”

(Last year, Connor’s own claustrophobic experience of post-Heartstopper fame involved him being pressured to come out as bisexual after being accused of “queerbaiting”.) “They got me through,” Gao says. “Kit and Tobie came up to me every day and were like, ‘You good? If you need to step out, step out.’”

As the person who finds parallels in Joe and Kit photoshoots, here's my contribution for today.

While the description isn’t the most intelligent thing, I do find it hard to really fault someone for raising that insane amount of money for queer refugees. Even if all he did was promote it and get the cast to promote it, it’s safe to say it did a lot of good. Just imagine if kit or joe had done a shirt…the amount of money raised would’ve been at least triple
