Drinking too much water

Tap water or Lacroix.

Where is the line? At what point does electrolyte poisoning happen? Is drinking 12 cans of Lacroix over the course of an evening put me in the danger zone?

If the risk means asking the stupidest question online today, then yes by a wide margin.

Around three litres per day is the limit. When your body has enough, you'll know it because the thought of taking another sip will make you ill. You need to be off your tits to miss that signal. Like my poor classmate back in the day who drank more than that one night when she overdosed on MDMA and her brain exploded as a result.

by Anonymousreply 3July 23, 2023 2:34 PM

Too much water ish dangeroush. Better drink shomeshing elshe.

by Anonymousreply 4July 23, 2023 2:34 PM

I've been drinking more than a gallon of tap water a day for 10+ years with no ill effects.

I would think the carbonation in LaCroix would be more of a challenge than electrolytes.

And how is she faring these days?

by Anonymousreply 6July 23, 2023 2:41 PM

OP, your classmate's brain exploded because she had to listen to your incessant bullshit and nonsense.

by Anonymousreply 7July 23, 2023 2:47 PM

LaCroix's carbonation is bad for your teeth so I wouldn't be drinking that all day for that reason.

by Anonymousreply 8July 23, 2023 2:47 PM

Do you suffer from schizophrenia, OP?

R8 - Personally, I find carbonated beverages disgusting but your statement is primarily an old wives' tale. So long as the drink does not contain citric acid or sugars, it won't hurt your teeth. Carbonated water also does not cause IBS or cause calcium buildup (bone loss).

Nonetheless, this thread is garbage and the OP has too much time on their hands.

OP, electrolyte poisoning? Do you know what that is?

by Anonymousreply 11July 23, 2023 3:41 PM

When you're at circuit parties, always keep track of how many drinks you've had. Use a marker and put a dash for each one on your arm, if that helps.

by Anonymousreply 12July 23, 2023 3:54 PM

That isn't true R10. All carbonated water contains PFAS ("forever chemicals") that can cause cancer and other issues.

by Anonymousreply 13July 23, 2023 3:57 PM

The latest scare tactic: forever chemicals. I’m 50 and I don’t know how many new bad things, dire things I’ve been told will take me to an early grave.

At this point, it won’t be early. Meanwhile, I enjoy diet 😱 soda from a can.

by Anonymousreply 14July 23, 2023 4:15 PM

“Water intoxication “ is a real thing -just sayin’

by Anonymousreply 15July 23, 2023 4:17 PM

Yes, just drinking purified water now.

by Anonymousreply 16July 23, 2023 4:32 PM

You may think forever chemicals are a joke, but I don't. Forever = THEY LITERALLY NEVER LEAVE YOUR SYSTEM.

The FOREVER CHEMICALS will still be in my system…after I’m dead! Forever!!!!

by Anonymousreply 19July 23, 2023 5:05 PM

Forever chemicals now make embalming fluid obsolete. The preserve the body in a pristine state on all on their own.

by Anonymousreply 20July 23, 2023 5:09 PM

Highway to the danger zone! 🎶

by Anonymousreply 21July 23, 2023 5:10 PM

Lacroix is incredibly low rent. It's not water from a natural spring or source. It's just flavored water. You're tacky AND stupid, OP.

by Anonymousreply 22July 23, 2023 5:14 PM

They have pretty cans, unlike R22. Kind of 2015 though.

by Anonymousreply 23July 23, 2023 5:15 PM

R22 sounds lovely.

Binging AbFab, were we, Sweetie?

by Anonymousreply 25July 23, 2023 5:18 PM

I think you should keep drinking and update us on the lethal amount when you eventually figure it out.

by Anonymousreply 26July 23, 2023 5:20 PM

R8 and R13... R10 is correct. The current science shows that carbonated water isn't bad for your teeth.

Forever chemicals? That's getting into RFK territory.

As for the girl on molly whose brain exploded; she is currently posting on DL.

What's this I hear about Molly causing water toxosis?

by Anonymousreply 28July 23, 2023 5:25 PM

Yes, it's true R28. Makes me so angry that Madonna was promoting this garbage drug at her shows.

by Anonymousreply 29July 23, 2023 5:38 PM

I have been trying a vitamin supplement for men over fifty and it seems that my urine stays yellow no matter how much water I drink!
