I met Kyle in Beverly Hills a few years ago. She was Christmas shopping and was friendly and warm to everyone who approached her (which was lots of people, considering this was Rodeo Dr). This happened maybe three episodes in a row.

Aaron Spelling based the Carrington family from Dynasty on the Davis family, who were from Denver and in oil. Apparently the family loathed Kim and Big Kathy,, and Kim’s husband divorced her so his father wouldn’t disinherit him.

Kim’s kids seemed to have turned out ok except the son,, who has mental illness.

Then they go shoot a test interview with her to see if she has personality.
