Something may just be going on here. I missed her story post R3 and out of curiosity checked the Los Angeles highlights. Caught my eye she was at Joshua Tree National Park on May 13th 2021. Guess who was at Joshua Tree on May 11th of the same year? Yup. Benny boy. These two might actually be a thing. Even if it's on again/off again.

R4 Well, unless the OP is doing it, they both now appear to be playing the untagging game. Someone has been making posts on IG linking them as boyfriend/girlfriend since this past weekend. Yesterday afternoon Ben was untagged from the latest post within an hour (he's slipping and out of practice since The Ho???). And then Ella. . . finally noticed. . . was told. . . was pointedly instructed. . . about the posts and untagged herself from all four posts at once (that again went back days). I mean, does she regularly check her tagged page every few days and get rid of stuff she finds objectionable, or is she being influenced and needing to check it like a hawk is her life now cause that's the cost of having a new friend. R11 R12 Well the cat photo is easy to find by just searching "Ben Barnes white cat" into google images, as it pops right up for me on a german facebook page. (Or his SU2C video is on his IG from Feb 2020 if memory serves) And the room in the background is completely out of focus, but my best guess looking at it is that's nowhere in Ben's house. So if it's the same white cat, it's most likely somewhere else IMO.

But the interview (linked below, last paragraph was it?) you're talking about doesn't say "she." It says some friends and somebody and someone. On the other hand however, one "fun" moment from another S&B2 interview ("Harper's Bazaar Food Diaries - everything ben barnes eats in a day" if interested) shows him mentioning that "someone recently introduced him to macadamia nut milk and it's delicious.." Of course perhaps only a coincidence that macadamia nuts are native to Australia. Just fun facts!

I think the background of cat pic looks like the window leading outside with the barrel shape lamp shade he had there at the time when I compare it to pics at the time. He is holding the cat in a beige cat bed and bringing the bed close to him. The time spent on this makes me feel dumb a bit.

Maybe cat was Robs after all and Ella or Peyton adopted when he moved out. I'm haunted by why Ben would include a pic of himself wearing a cat fur covered black merch sweatshirt to be in a Bandwear email blast. Something about this bothers me but don't know why. R19 Ah ok…. for posterity, I rewatched several times (with sound muted!) and I do believe it’s a metal button fly. If you look at the light reflection on the zip of his jacket it’s linear, however there are two dots of light visible in the fly area. You can also catch a glimpse of a button in one of the zoomed-in vids. And I think that’s just Ben’s awkward dance moves? - with extra adrenaline mixed in cos he’s a “Special Guest”. It isn't the most flattering. Especially since he is so thin it's funny to take a picture that makes him look wide somehow. I think its edited somehow. I would never spend my hard-earned money to go to a convention, plus the travel and food expenses that would be involved in most cases, then wait in line with little lambs only to get a minute's worth of my idol's time and a pic. The cost of these tickets are just prohibitive and totally unjustifiable to my mind but as long as the fans buy them, then these voracious convention companies will just keep arranging these kind of events. Empire seem determined to milk the S&B cashcow for alllmits worth… they’re even promoting a third ASOCAS next year. If Netflix cancel the show, how many of the cast will bother to attend even given the cash return… and what will the fan interest levels be by that stage?

I've been lurking on here in December and went to the convention this weekend. For the context I'm a 21yo girl, it was my first convention - no I didn't go for BB - no I didn't pay for a full trip, I live here. I only pay the subscription for this month to respond to your questions if you have any.

I met him for a photoshoot and again for an autograph session. It basically confirmed what I was already thinking about him (and you guys provided context for these thoughts back in December). He has a big ego and was basically there for the money. I was pretty shocked to see him with my own eyes being overtly annoyed at young girls who did nothing disrespectful to him. They were already anxious and he was basically rolling his eyes at them. He put on quite the show with a little boy and imo really wanted to be seen by everyone being so sweet to that one toddler. Please put your judgment aside regarding the naive young girls, they're excited about a tv show they love and the charismatic cast. They're not 42. (the ones I'm talking about, at least).

The VAST MAJORITY were very nice and sweet to the cast. Girls in their early 20s, fans of the books. I have only heard of one incident regarding an actor, a girl payed an autograph just to tell him that she didn't like him 🙄 (not BB, another one). But everyone else behaved. I did meet an actual crazy fangirl who tattooed the autograph of one of the actress and seemed to live for her, but if anything, I felt really bad for her. Her life as well as her mental health must be quite a mess.

I have heard girls saying that the impressions of him were mixed, he ignored a lot of people but was nice to others... Everything was really impersonal but I didn't mind it as long as he was polite. I'm just disappointed, even though I already saw him as a bit of narcissist and kind of an empty pretty face. Disappointed for the naive girls who thought that they would have a sweet moment. He's just as bland as his music, really. Other actors really WORKED for that pay check and one of them in particular took care of everyone and made sure to offer a great experience to fans. One stayed until 9PM because she really wanted to speak with everyone (she did not have too). A few were really genuine. BB was not. He only tolerates the fangirls because he knows that they're the one who pay for his lifestyle, not his talent... I think he's frustrated knowing that he's stuck relying on them. Maybe he already knows that he only got lucky with his looks and will never have more to offer than his face and his fake smile. Maybe that's why he seems to like the LA lifestyle.

I also saw multiple times the infamous BB Germany. I saw her took a photoshoot with him and if anything, it was unremarkable. Just as quick and impersonal as everyone else. Hi - hug pose - thanks 🤷‍♀️

For the dog thingy, I girl gifted him "the barking", he used it as a prop for a few pictures and such and regifted it to another girl on the next day. Then the girl who gifted it to him came to the girl he regifted it to and took it back. The 2nd one was in tears apparently.

I was also surprised to see so many girls that I recognised from past pictures. Who follow them around at all cons. Again, objectively pathetic but also really sad. If you have any questions go for it :)

I had already read some of the threads before attending the cons so it only confirmed all of what you guys said and what I perceived from his interviews/online presence. However I was surprised to see that even a few regular fangirls, who went there ready to give their lives to him, left feeling... deceived? I thought that his fans must be pretty delusional not to see how fake, crafted, empty everything about him is. His taste. The people he surrounds himself with. I thought some of his music was good on the EP but he didn't exactly deliver in person. Plus, he was drinking a lot before the 1st show (I was there) and lost steam as the "high" wore off. I think that's the difference between a professional musician and him. They don't lose energy from start to finish. How the hell does he think he's going to be able to do a full-blown concert and tour? It's exhausting. He totally failed when he was in front of a big crowd. The scary pockets crowd. And that was 1 measly song he barely knew the lyrics to.

It was mostly fans telling him that they love him and him either fake smilling or ignoring them. When someone tried something else (respectful, of course, like giving him a prop for a funny picture) he seemed visibly frustrated and I could see that some of the girls were crushed by his reaction. It was very obvious. The pics with you cost 90€ each, Ben. Wear the damn dog ears for 2 seconds and stop rolling your eyes. I saw him pout a few times. That's only my theory but at times I think he might have felt used, which I understand by the nature of these cons but also he's the reason why everything was so impersonal. Again, other actors made sure to put timid fans at ease and tailor interactions for the human being that came to see them. It is their job and they chose to come. I know that cons are weird because we're paying to meet them but some of the actors genuinely enjoyed meeting fans and went above and beyond. One of them was more introverted but remained polite, listened and looked at everyone in the eyes, at least. I have had great conversations at autographs with some of the actors that simply talked to us as if we were regular people. Ben didn't even look at me in the eyes, took my book, signed and that was it. I said that one of his song helped me when I was in a dark place last year (right before I saw through the veneer), and then he looked up with a smile and thanked me for coming (aka showing me the door). He wasn't really listening to anything the girls were saying. But it's not the stereotyped con full of sweaty obese nerds who haven't heard of showering. It was sweet young girls (shy/anxious nerds, still), who came dressed up, with their hair and makeup done. Worst case scenario they were awkward and overexcited or emotional but beyond the few obsessed BB Germany types following them around the world at all cons I cannot stress how normal and respectful the fans were. Btw she behaved too. I expected her to jump up and down and act crazy but really I don't even think that I've seen her make any other facial expression than her usual half smile, and she stayed with a group of other girls she keeps meeting at other cons. The crazy is silent in her case...

Very random information but I did get to hug him twice and the perfume he wears is generic and forgettable. Could have been called "random male scent", or "frustrated narcissist". And I saw him make a few jokes at the fans expense which again put me off.

PS: There was a gay guy in his mid 30s that came to see him. I wonder if it's someone from here lol

There seems to be a very noticeable change in the way he's acting at this Con compared to all the other times. I was at the hotel Cafe show but I cannot recall anything good juicy to report. He made his rounds with all of the fans and it was really quickly. He interacted more with two fan towards the end of the meet n greet. Gave them the last of his time. The one girl, they were talking very closely with each other like they knew each other and she put something in his hoodie. So who knows what that was all about. I wish I remembered more but I was stoned tbh

I'm always scratching my head on how he affords his life and music projects to boot. I know where he lives (easy enough to figure out with Google Earth and the music videos that he filmed in his driveway. So much for his privacy concerns!) and our houses are remarkably similar in square footage, neighborhood costs etc. I don't have solar panels though. I know how much it cost to run, insure, maintain etc the bills incurred for my own house and he's in CA which is one of the most expensive places to live in the US. Then he has a newly leased e-Porsche which requires maximum auto insurance, and comfy lifestyle extras like food delivery services, plus actor related fees, dues, commissions to agents and reps etc. I mean, even the artwork in his home is worth thousands combined. That one black and gold map of London is like $4,000. And yeah he never has to pay for clothes but that's such a small part of his life. Plus the sheer hundreds of thousands it cost to self produce and release your own music with the big name producers and musicians he worked with. He had to pay them for their time as well as when they play live with him. Like when they went to NY... did he give them.a per diem for hotels, transportation, food, etc. I mean that's enough to blow my mind.

I can only estimate how much he gets paid per episode or per movie and how much magazines pay for interviews and photo sessions. But maybe he's made some high yield investments because his brother has a MBA in finances. Or mum and dad support his music or something. Who knows? But it doesn't always seem like he can afford to live the way it seems like he lives.
