it really irks me when there is a journalist reporting a story to the host and the host then asks the journalist analytical questions. It's even worse when it's something legal and there is a lawyer on the panel! Or during covid when there was a doctor on the panel. A lot of these journalists are so arrogant they'll gladly indulge questions of expertise that are outside of their credentials.

Mike Schmidt, is 1 of the worst examples. You are a not a lawyer, you are a national security analyst. Report the story and let the legal experts analyze the story

During the morning and early afternoon, yes. But not from 4 p.m. on. Unless there's a mass shooting or some other emergency, you won't see many on-air reporters. I especially loved the last time I tuned into Fox (Faux) News. I wanted to hear their take on the Dominion settlement, wasn’t surprised when they didn’t cover it right away, but left it play a bit.

The next full segment I watched was a wonderful expose of the special treatment Hunter Biden receives because he is the President’s son. The fact that this was being reported by Peter Doocy, without the smallest hint of irony, was priceless.

Watching Harry Litman on Nicolle today and I was mesmerized by the room he was phoning in from. Its been awhile since I've been either agog or distracted by the backgrounds of reporters/contributors on TV, but I couldn't unsee the bedspread. Barbara McQuade's face on Rachel last night was so blotchy, she looked like she has measles.

I noticed that, too. When she is in-studio, the make-up artist is able to cover up all her freckles. When she zooms in from home, McQuade doesn't bother - and she looks hideous. That's the aging Irish skin on her : pale and freckled.
