I suspect at least some of the promo is already recorded in that pre Christmas session, more can be be done long distance while Joe is in Atlanta and the timing for the end of May means he is free for the live promo and Netflix can push Pride month and Heartstopper together

I think it's Spring/Summer for two main reasons. First, what has been mentioned about the awards cycle. Netflix cares about the show enough that they're still conducting screenings and Q&As during the show's hiatus. I can't envision them missing a year at CAFE if it's in their power not to. Letting two years elapse would absolutely kill momentum. Second, I think they'll be shooting the third season in Autumn. I doubt they're going to want to have to film around their two leads (or even pause production altogether) so that they can go out and promote the second season.

We know Toa and Elle will finally get together, and we’ll see more Tara and Darcy. But the supporting characters will all stay supporting characters.

I watched this interview for the first time earlier and it's worth a watch - not just because Jenny seems like an incredibly lovely human. Prefacing this by saying that I don't think they broke up! I don't think they'll necessarily have the type of break-up that leads to an immediate finsta purge when they break up. I think it's more likely that they drift apart than that they have a dramatic break-up involving a catalyst like cheating or something along those lines.

R585 They always start rumors about Joe and Bash while also denying they are dating. There was an IG post from the month Joe and Bash met that called them besties that Joe liked that someone found, so the day before yesterday they were just confirmed friends.

Must be coming up to Bash and Joe’s anniversary. I’m one of those who didn’t think Valentine’s is such a huge deal but two year anniversary for a couple so into each other seems significant. Regardless of if they’re spotted or not, I don’t see them being apart around that time

I think (I guess minds can vary) it was pretty clear they were together over valentines. Bash filming videos from an empty modern looking room/closet, them posting one another’s achievements the same day, and a DLers friend thinking she spotted Bash at Heathrow the day before he’s seen in London again all adds up pretty well. Their anniversary will be tough because it’s mid March at the earliest I think? That’s when rehearsals for HS started. I can see bash being underway rehearsing for the play by then and Joe being busy on set as well.

I don’t bet on forever for most people let alone people so young, but I would bet pretty highly on them making it at least to the end of Heartstopper, so end of 2024 at the earliest. Shit happens so could be wrong but they seem really compatible and committed and in their field and at their age, it’s not like they’re going to find anyone they can necessarily see more unless they both start dating jobless losers who move everywhere with them

R587 It has been little more than a month since they were confirmed to be together and very strong circumstantial evidence they visited again in the middle of that month in real adult time barely a separation and I imagine they did spend longer spells apart when Joe was still finishing school. The real break will come once Bash starts rehearsals in earnest with Joe still filming in Atlanta that could easily become two months or more but even then compared with a lot of long distance relationships it is hardly a dramatic length of time

Speaking of twitter I was curious to see if the pious idiots would be enthusiastically promoting Yaz’s con appearance as they apparently love her so much and she has previously be pushed aside by the terrible racist cis white boys but they seem strangely silent. Neither Joe nor Kit is that famous in the states either, the rest of the cast in comparison are basically unknowns. Joe was gaying it up in New York City with his mum. Two musicals, trendy brunch places, Central Park, and not a single fan photo. Honestly Kit could go hook up with Maia in New York for a week and we could be none the wiser. While I thank Maia for making him a man I hope that that’s not the case and he can go through his ho phase now
