Hey, Delilah, long time listener, first time caller. We LOVE your show!

35 years ago (feels like just yesterday), I met the beautiful girl who would become my wife. She was dating 5-6 guys very casually, guys I knew a little. On our first date at Chi-Chi's (we both LOVE authentic Mexican food!), she told me how she had the same taste in jewelry as her grandmother, and how that was a running joke in their little town. I thought it a bit odd for a 19-year old to like something so, well, old-ladyish, but who was I to judge; what do I know from classic jewelry?

Anyhoo, Delilah, three decades and four kids later, we're still in love like we were teenagers. So in honor of our love, we'd like you to play ZZ Top, "Pearl Necklace."

Delilah was all about encouraging promiscuous sex before she found Jesus. It was alarming how quick she pivoted (fave DL word) from, "Go for it, try him out, honey!" to "God loves you even if you're single." I still enjoy her voice, but that 180 still baffles me.
