They had Antifa and assorted others trying ti stiop them from speaking and at first there were no police and then the Park Police and regular police showed up and kept them away. Most trans people are not well off. There are a few high profile very well off people, but the majority of people do not have exceptionally high income or social clout to make themselves heard if something goes wrong or to independently advocate. So when I see something like “liver tests are unnecessary” in places that are supposedly more pro trans, it makes me wonder why. Because the tests cost money and they don’t hurt anything, they’re just tests. If your opponents challenge the safety of a procedure and you want to be transparent, order more tests not less. Then you’re actually spending money to protect the health of trans people.

Why didn't CNN respect the suspect's pronouns, here? Moreover, why is it now, all of a sudden, acceptable to question the legitimacy of someone's chosen gender identity and their true motives for doing so?

Because I'm old enough to remember that if a man self-identifies as a woman he's allowed to just gallivant into the women's changing area and any woman who complains or reports him will be shouted down as a hateful bigot guilty of hate speech and "LITERAL VIOLENCE."

We're not allowed to question his true motivations for identifying as a woman, looking very obviously male, walking around the women's changing area with his male 'parts' out (and noticeably aroused). We're just supposed to take him at his word, respect his identity, and allow him into the women's changing area.

Help me to understand.

Some heterosexuals think that trans awareness gives them the right to define and pigeonhole gays and lesbians, because a good portion of them still feel that being trans is fixing us. I support the rights of someone who thinks that they can change their gender because as a gay person I don’t want someone to stop me from living my life. But I don’t agree with them. Especially when they attack gays and lesbians. They can call themselves by whatever pronouns they choose, but don’t tell me what to call myself. All of this cisgender 💩…you can define yourself, but I get to define myself. He/him and she/her cut it for me.
