Women who get pregnant in their 40s like that naturally are almost always women who are already mothers. Rarely a first time mom.

But lots of women get a scare in their mid to late 40s and think they're pregnant. My mom thought she was pregnant when she was in her 40s and I was 12 - we were all so excited we might have a baby in the house, even my mom was kinda excited, But it was just her starting menopause and missing a period.

Sometimes during menopause women become extremely fertile b/c of the shift in hormones. Yes she's having children late in life, but it happens.

Two parents at age 50 seems kind of unfair for the babies, but at least there are two parents, and one will still be there if the other one kicks the bucket. And the two kids will have each other.

Women who have a lot of children can keep having them into their 40s, but a completely natural first pregnancy over age 45 is the proverbial rockinghorse shit, especially if it results in a completed pregnancy and children with no problems. If it really happened it would be magazine-cover rare. In the case of a Hollywood star, and in this day and age, you'd never take their word for it.
