What did you eat for dinner tonight? Friday, 9/16/22

Chicken cesar salad. Tho i added spinach, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese. Came out pretty good.

We have Mexican take-out on Friday nights. Tonight. we're having a carnitas burrito with sour cream and chopped iceberg lettuce and avocado. YUM!

My family split a grub between the 8 of us.

A simple sandwich, bbq chips and grapes since sometimes I eat like an elementary school kid. Grapes weren't great. Really hard to find crunchy grapes lately.

Bad, dry tacos. I had a bottle of wine, which was better than any food so I’m ok

R7, agree with you on grapes lately. The last good bag that I bought was about a month ago. When they're good, they're good. When they're bad, they're horrid.

Oddly enough, the grapes last winter were amazing…large and crispy. I eat them daily in the winter, but have been gorging myself on tomatoes and ripe peaches lately. Whole Foods has these tiny cherry tomatoes that taste like candy. I’m obsessed with them. I’m doing burgers, fresh corn, and a pear arugula and blue cheese salad tonight,

I had a tomato sandwich last night. Just tomato on white bread with lots of mayo but was delicious.

One time I was stuck in a flyover town in England and the only decent place to eat was Pizza Express - I'd go there every night and have the pizza with egg and it was delicious. Maybe it's an Italian thing. I don't know.

I believe you can order it in Italy also, but I’ve never seen it there. But yes, in other parts of Europe like London.

My Russian neighbor used to special order a coal fired pizza from the Italian restaurant near us. It had caramelized onions, ham, chopped up hard boiled eggs, sardines, and a ton of other weird toppings. It sounded gross, but it was absolutely amazing. The small pizza cost $30 because he had to pay per topping though.

I had them for lunch yesterday, but their Chicken BLT sandwich (it’s delicious) with a small fries, a 4 piece nugget and strawberry frosty.

I didn't know Wendy's had taco salads. The Taco Bell taco salad (RIP) looked better than the Wendy's. The closest Wendy's in my area is a little bit too out of the way. Growing up, there was a Wendy's close by and I did enjoy the chili, the Frosty, and would always order French fries to go with my chili.

Tons of Wendys closed down about a decade ago. I lived by 2 and both shut down. I have it now when I’m near one.

I picked up some sushi grade salmon at Whole Foods, so I’m doing Asian tonight. Japanese eggplant with a sweet sauce on the side, and a salad. I love eggplant, so I grew it in my garden this year, and have a ton. Unfortunately, it has tore my stomach up the last few times I had it. Must be all of the fiber.

Those cardboard bowls annoy.

It was a birthday dinner for my husband’s 12 year old granddaughter. I made Korean short rib tacos with siracha Mayo, potato chips and an ice cream birthday cake.
