What did you eat for dinner tonight? Friday, 9/16/22

I ate a chicken salad with spinach, kale, feta cheese, quinoa, tomatoes and corn that I bought from this place I like. I washed it down with a Diet Coke because I was craving one all day.

We have Mexican take-out on Friday nights. Tonight. we're having a carnitas burrito with sour cream and chopped iceberg lettuce and avocado. YUM!

by Anonymousreply 2September 17, 2022 2:39 AM

Homemade breakfast burrito and tater tots

by Anonymousreply 4September 17, 2022 3:10 AM

OP, it looks like some Mexican came on top of it.

by Anonymousreply 5September 17, 2022 3:24 AM

My family split a grub between the 8 of us.

by Anonymousreply 6September 17, 2022 3:32 AM

A simple sandwich, bbq chips and grapes since sometimes I eat like an elementary school kid. Grapes weren't great. Really hard to find crunchy grapes lately.

by Anonymousreply 7September 17, 2022 3:39 AM

Bad, dry tacos. I had a bottle of wine, which was better than any food so I’m ok

by Anonymousreply 8September 17, 2022 3:39 AM

R7 those types of dinners are my favorites sometimes

by Anonymousreply 9September 17, 2022 3:41 AM

I meant R6.

by Anonymousreply 10September 17, 2022 3:43 AM

It was delicioso!

R7, what was your "simple sandwich"? Peanut butter and jelly?

by Anonymousreply 12September 17, 2022 3:48 AM

Pastrami sandwich with a pickle.

by Anonymousreply 13September 17, 2022 4:02 AM

R7, I kept reading your post as “sometimes I like to eat an elementary school kid” and I was stymied as to the joke…

by Anonymousreply 14September 17, 2022 4:04 AM

Homemade cauliflower crust pizza 🍕 Not bad, still working on crunch factor.

by Anonymousreply 15September 17, 2022 4:05 AM

Supermarket sushi. And yes, it was exactly as bad as you're thinking. Bleh.

That salad looks good, OP.

by Anonymousreply 16September 17, 2022 4:11 AM

London broil. Fresh Green Beans. Homemade Mashed Taters. Washing it down with Dt. Dew.

by Anonymousreply 17September 17, 2022 4:14 AM

R7, agree with you on grapes lately. The last good bag that I bought was about a month ago. When they're good, they're good. When they're bad, they're horrid.

by Anonymousreply 18September 17, 2022 4:16 AM

Salami sandwich.

by Anonymousreply 19September 17, 2022 4:18 AM

Taco Bell.

by Anonymousreply 20September 17, 2022 9:07 AM

Maruchan chicken ramen, embellished with shredded white meat chicken, golden hominy, chopped cilantro, and green chile powder.

by Anonymousreply 21September 17, 2022 10:31 AM

Oddly enough, the grapes last winter were amazing…large and crispy. I eat them daily in the winter, but have been gorging myself on tomatoes and ripe peaches lately. Whole Foods has these tiny cherry tomatoes that taste like candy. I’m obsessed with them. I’m doing burgers, fresh corn, and a pear arugula and blue cheese salad tonight,

by Anonymousreply 22September 17, 2022 4:39 PM

Grilled chicken, with my improvised version of stovetop stuffing.

by Anonymousreply 23September 17, 2022 4:45 PM

You gurls eating so elegantly put me to shame. I had half a Sainsbury's pizza - I added an egg and some grated cheese and garlic salt. It wasn't very nice.

by Anonymousreply 24September 17, 2022 4:46 PM

You put an egg on a pizza? What is wrong with you? Were you high?

by Anonymousreply 25September 17, 2022 5:29 PM

I had a tomato sandwich last night. Just tomato on white bread with lots of mayo but was delicious.

by Anonymousreply 26September 17, 2022 5:33 PM

Don't worry about it. You're being honest. Many people aren't (honest).

by Anonymousreply 27September 17, 2022 5:33 PM

R24 please. Thursday night I ate Wendy’s and the other night salami sandwiches lol. It’s not always salads or steaks.

by Anonymousreply 28September 17, 2022 5:35 PM

Cava, OP?

by Anonymousreply 29September 17, 2022 5:52 PM

[quote]You put an egg on a pizza? What is wrong with you? Were you high?

One time I was stuck in a flyover town in England and the only decent place to eat was Pizza Express - I'd go there every night and have the pizza with egg and it was delicious. Maybe it's an Italian thing. I don't know.

Egg on pizza is common in England.

R30 what does egg on pizza in England have to do with Italy?

by Anonymousreply 32September 17, 2022 6:08 PM

I said I don't know, that MAYBE it's an Italian thing.

by Anonymousreply 33September 17, 2022 6:10 PM

Another Seacow slop thread. Get a blog fat cow!

by Anonymousreply 34September 17, 2022 6:12 PM

I believe you can order it in Italy also, but I’ve never seen it there. But yes, in other parts of Europe like London.

by Anonymousreply 35September 17, 2022 6:13 PM

[quote]I ate a chicken salad with spinach, kale, feta cheese, quinoa, tomatoes and corn that I bought from this place I like.

OP tomorrow: Corn, when did I eat corn?

by Anonymousreply 36September 17, 2022 6:57 PM

Slice of pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onion with a Caesar salad and a ginger ale.

by Anonymousreply 37September 17, 2022 7:11 PM

[quote]Slice of pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onion

A slice...Sure Jan!

by Anonymousreply 38September 17, 2022 7:27 PM

Hmmm. I just bought a bag of “Gum Drop” grapes. They are delicious. Nice and sweet and very crispy.

by Anonymousreply 39September 17, 2022 8:48 PM

OP did you go to Cava?

by Anonymousreply 40September 17, 2022 8:49 PM

My Russian neighbor used to special order a coal fired pizza from the Italian restaurant near us. It had caramelized onions, ham, chopped up hard boiled eggs, sardines, and a ton of other weird toppings. It sounded gross, but it was absolutely amazing. The small pizza cost $30 because he had to pay per topping though.

by Anonymousreply 41September 17, 2022 9:36 PM

R40 yes. How did you know? Lol

by Anonymousreply 42September 17, 2022 9:38 PM

They put gay shit like corn on pizza in Dubai.

It’s fucking undignified.

by Anonymousreply 43September 17, 2022 9:46 PM

Wendy’s taco salad and chocolate frosty.

by Anonymousreply 44September 17, 2022 9:53 PM

[quote]They put gay shit

Mary, honey - where the hell do you think you are?

by Anonymousreply 45September 17, 2022 9:53 PM

R44 I love Wendy’s salads.

I had them for lunch yesterday, but their Chicken BLT sandwich (it’s delicious) with a small fries, a 4 piece nugget and strawberry frosty.

by Anonymousreply 46September 17, 2022 9:55 PM

I didn't know Wendy's had taco salads. The Taco Bell taco salad (RIP) looked better than the Wendy's. The closest Wendy's in my area is a little bit too out of the way. Growing up, there was a Wendy's close by and I did enjoy the chili, the Frosty, and would always order French fries to go with my chili.

by Anonymousreply 47September 17, 2022 10:15 PM

Tons of Wendys closed down about a decade ago. I lived by 2 and both shut down. I have it now when I’m near one.

by Anonymousreply 48September 17, 2022 10:17 PM

Meghan is a textbook case of someone hoisted with her own petard.

by Anonymousreply 49September 17, 2022 10:23 PM

Oops. I'm r49 and I'm lost.

Meanwhile I had shrimp scampi last night. It was good, not great (homemade).

by Anonymousreply 50September 17, 2022 10:25 PM

Wendy's apple pecan salad is the truth.

by Anonymousreply 51September 18, 2022 2:44 AM

I wonder what Meghan is eating tonight.

by Anonymousreply 52September 18, 2022 2:54 AM

I picked up some sushi grade salmon at Whole Foods, so I’m doing Asian tonight. Japanese eggplant with a sweet sauce on the side, and a salad. I love eggplant, so I grew it in my garden this year, and have a ton. Unfortunately, it has tore my stomach up the last few times I had it. Must be all of the fiber.

by Anonymousreply 53September 18, 2022 5:10 PM

Those cardboard bowls annoy.

by Anonymousreply 54September 18, 2022 5:22 PM

Miss Prisspot Pangina R45, put your lorgnette down and go pay off your student loans.

by Anonymousreply 55September 18, 2022 5:29 PM

It was a birthday dinner for my husband’s 12 year old granddaughter. I made Korean short rib tacos with siracha Mayo, potato chips and an ice cream birthday cake.
