Yeah, I don't get it either. He's pretty, so I've always enjoyed watching him onscreen, but according to social media he's worse than Hitler - but I can't figure out why.

I was wondering the same myself. I saw him in The Institute recently and when I saw his name on screen I wondered why it was familiar. Then I remembered the many threads about him on here and was confused.

I first realized Barnes was neurodivergent when I saw him sing. He makes very bizarre faces when he hits high notes (which are not very high), somewhere between “orgasm” and “pushing out a massive turd.” I recognized this as stimming. Other details began to line up (never married, Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, was profoundly impacted by watching The Lion King when he was 13, and age most children have outgrown cartoons, doesn’t hold eye contact well, etc, etc)

So anyway, Barnes is neurodivergent and other neurodivergent people (the obsessive stalkers who post here) became obsessed with him because neurodivergent people are naturally drawn to each other and recognize it in even if they themselves don’t know they have it.

True story - when I first started seeing gay porn online as a teenager in the mid-late 90s, I became fixated on a porn star and viewed all his stuff. He faded away after the millennium as porn stars are want to do, but I still occasionally jerked to his stuff and I still kept his pictures on my hard drive.

So FF this year and I happen to come upon a WEHT discussion and someone had found this porn star’s social media. He also has a YouTube channel.

This former flesh peddler (who still looks fabulous) is now a solo camping enthusiast.

Thorough camping equipment reviewing videos.

Down to the micrometers camping equipment reviewing videos.

He goes on and on and on, reviewing camping equipment like scholars analyzing the Talmud.

My point is, I was naturally drawn to him even before I knew I was neurodivergent. I don’t know how, it must have something to do with facial dimensions.

But to make a long story short, Barnes has attracted obsessed celebrity stalkers because he and they are all neurodivergent.
