We also know that Wendy would tell how her parents would berate her in her youth for being overweight, so hearing her mother give her positive reinforcement made an extreme impact on Wendy's self esteem. So many questions! How does one get a sober coach? Do you hire one yourself or can it be put in place by a judge or a doctor? Do rehab facilities ever make having a coach a condition of a patients release? If the rehab location sees the stories about Wendy looking to party, can they demand she return and continue her treatment?

r185, I do think his girlfriend having a baby was the last straw...but Wendy weathered his past cheating without even breaking a sweat. I think being an empty nester and her mom's passing also triggered it. Wendy lost her entire home life within a year or two, and she clearly could not take leaving work to go to an empty home every night. That's really difficult for people who aren't used to living like that.
