R4 Liam Broady has recently expressed admiration for the hairstyle of our favourite footballer slut, Jack Grealish.
There's nothing Jack likes more than praise from another fit man, so Liam can expect a drunk thirsty needy DM from the Whore of Solihull soon...

Tamara Korpatsch's bitter and cunty posts are saving this Wimbledon.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 30, 2022 4:07 PM |
Haha, Korpatsch posted that she'd talked things over with Tan and that Tan had explained about an injury she had. Tan won her match today despite this injury. Korpatsch probably doesn't believe that injury claim but was probably shamed into a backtrack of sorts.

Very moving scenes from Flipkens' last match. She probably should have won but choked massive leads in both sets (5-2 in the first one). Nice words from both afterward.
Pliskova going out in R2 in consecutive slams to Katie Boulter and Leolia Jeanjean? The end is nigh.
Swiatek was outplayed today and lucky to get through against Lucky Loser Pattinama Kerkhove. This streak is a bit inflated by what a weak era we are in.

I'm surprised that, for the very first time in my life (and I've been following tennis since I was about 12 thirty million years ago) I can honestly say that there is not one scheduled match on today that I would bother watching. There are a few players I find interesting (Sinner, Alcaraz, Norrie, Cressy), but none who are involved in anything I might describe as "compelling" matches. TBH, I would probably only very quickly check in on Djokovic's match to see if he's losing, but I'd probably use the TNNS app for that and then watch only if he's in trouble.
Is today's Wimbledon schedule a real dud, or have we been used to a really good series of GS sessions since the 1970s?

Nadal is finally getting some shade in the press since the pre-approved by Team Rafa interview with Tomeu. After being completely and intentionally ignored by the media, suddenly they're BFFs. Who was Rafa's best man at his wedding? No one knows because they're private. Am i wrong? He's been in and around the friends box for 20 years and no one ever said that's Rafa's oldest friend, former player and current coach.
A recent interview spoke about the wife as "loyal" and committed to their privacy, nothing about love. Rafa has never ONCE thanked her in a speech, she didn't even show up for the biggest win of his career, or his 35th birthday, or his surgery, and that's all in the past year or so. All the candid photos from the past 20 years show the wife with the sister and Rafa with Tomeu.

by Anonymous | reply 125 | July 1, 2022 8:03 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 126 | July 1, 2022 8:03 PM |
Alcaraz has that kind of charisma on court, and he made incredible points in every match. He is a way more exciting player than Ruud (and i like Ruud).
The fact that he is the first teenager in a lot of time who is a real threat on GS helps the hype.
The atp hyped Rune way more than Alcaraz (specially when Carlos results were always better on the pro level) but Rune is too unlikeable to really get massive appeal. In fact i think he will be the player everybody loves to hate.
Serbian players against Nole is always a boredom. Nole is amazing but it's like they don't even try it
by Anonymous | reply 127 | July 1, 2022 8:48 PM |
Alcaraz is the only young player who not only has the game to compete with Rafa and Novak, but also has that hard-to-define fighting spirit. That's why he's rocketed up to the top in terms of popularity. I'm on all the tennis forums, and he's the heir apparent. Most of us agree. Which is exciting for tennis fans. Because the next gen has just been one huge bust after another.
(I say this as Rafa fan who I hope wins the next ten slams!)

With Big Three fatigue, and the departures of at least two from the stage fairly imminent, fans naturally are looking to the next generation.
Alcaraz is a reason to be excited about what’s to coming over the next decade-plus. I’d really like others, such as Felix, to show they have the talent and fangs to win the big matches.

Alcaraz may become great player in future but right now he is over-hyped way beyond his performance.
Good thing is that unlike Coco he has kept it together and has not allowed the hype inside his head.

Is Kokkinakis twink?
by Anonymous | reply 139 | July 2, 2022 4:24 AM |
I love Tommy Paul. I bet he's slutty
by Anonymous | reply 140 | July 2, 2022 5:12 AM |
Best part about Alcaraz in Wimbledon is that we get to see more of his coach Ferrero😍
by Anonymous | reply 141 | July 2, 2022 5:46 AM |
Why have I not seen this before? They have amazing chemistry! That hug was so sweet.
by Anonymous | reply 142 | July 2, 2022 7:04 AM |
Kokkinakis is also in the mixed doubles with Asia Muhammad. It's actually a cool draw, Jack 'fat' Sock with Coco 'GOAT' Gauff, Sam Prehistosur is playing it too with another Aussie. Oyster Pancake with Lebanese Colombian hottie Robert Farah (amazing ass), Sania Mirza with Mate Pavic, Nicolas Mahut & Zhang Shuai.
I just looked it up and Granny Vee has somehow never won the mixed here at Wimbledon, only made one final with one of the Bryan Brothers in 2005 (but she has 11 Wimbledon titles across singles and doubles). Venus has won mixed at the AO and the French, while Serena has won Wimbledon and USO in mixed - strange because Venus' best slams are Wimbledon and US Open. I hope she and Jamie can go all the way so she can finish the Wimbledon boxed set.
by Anonymous | reply 143 | July 2, 2022 7:47 AM |
R133 No, he is not. He is a top 10 player, he has two master 1000 and he defeated Rafa and Nole (and a good bunch of top players). He is exactly as hyped as he deserves
by Anonymous | reply 144 | July 2, 2022 10:43 AM |
And Harmony Tan keeps winning
by Anonymous | reply 145 | July 2, 2022 11:03 AM |
They aren't airing tennis yet on tv. Was Tan really that good or was Boulter terrible? 6-1, 6-1 is a beatdown
by Anonymous | reply 146 | July 2, 2022 11:07 AM |
Boulter wasn't terrible, but she just couldn't get a read on Tan's game. Tan was Santoro-esque in her trickery.

Bonkin' Broady Team or Speed Demon Team?
by Anonymous | reply 148 | July 2, 2022 12:08 PM |
Team Broady, so we eventually get Jack Grealish in the players' box.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | July 2, 2022 12:09 PM |
R147 yeah one of the commentators called Tan a poor woman's version of Jabeur.
by Anonymous | reply 150 | July 2, 2022 12:16 PM |
I NEED Cristian NOT to crack up against Brooksby:
1/ I need to have even more views of Garin's quads flexing as he slides. 2/ There's something unlikeable about Brooksby - he's just too intense - he looks like he could burst into tears if he doesn't win a point.
by Anonymous | reply 151 | July 2, 2022 12:21 PM |

R127 It's because he's very hot and masculine looking, has the game to back it up and is also marketed like crazy. He's a sort of male Sharapova. After a few good results this year he was already put on the cover of Men's Health with his tanned abs out, massive jawline and muscular frame to be admired. He's tall, dark and handsome, just 19, girls and gay men drooling over him. Rune and Ruud cannot compete with him considering all of this.
R106 That's because he's a walking pharmacy.

by Anonymous | reply 154 | July 2, 2022 12:57 PM |
Guh-reat for Garin!
For a clay-specialist he plays really well on grass. He's one of the players who must be the most frustrated that there are no ranking points this year, as he's slid doiwn to 56. This run would've put him back into the Top 40.

Stef has had so many chances in this set. He really goes into his shell on the important points (doesn't help that Kyrgios has been servebotting). Mark Philippoussis still looks kind of sexy to me. Interesting that he is in Stef's box even though he's Greek Australian like Kyrgios.

Why is NK constantly arguing with an invisible man between points?
by Anonymous | reply 244 | July 2, 2022 8:31 PM |
Brandon Nakashima is a cute girl but there's no way she's beating this nasty Kunt. Especially if Nick starts his antics. Brandon will shrink and wilt like Tracy Austin's breasts circa 1995. So he will probably make another QF. Someone NEEDS to stop him, or they at least need to be taking him to 5 sets to wear him down.
People here mentioning Halep as a potential champion as if this slam doesn't have Harmony Tan written all over it. We should know the WTA by now. It's Harmony's world and we're all just living in it.

Why did Nadal stop Sonego at the net? What did they discuss? Nadal did NOT look happy.
by Anonymous | reply 248 | July 2, 2022 8:47 PM |
[quote]@BenRothenberg Somewhat relatedly, as several agents agree, whomever the first ATP player to come out is is gonna find a pot of gold at the end of their rainbow. This is something the market is very, very primed for, and there's a huge gay fanbase in tennis which remains largely untapped.
Thoughts on this? It goes against the received wisdom that it's bad for stars to come out in terms of money-making opportunities but I can't deny that companies have become a lot more woke since. I am guessing that only a really big star might benefit from it but most of them have invested in the wife/gf and kids thing.

R248, that stemmed from something that happened earlier. not sure coz I was watching the other match.
Nadal spoke to the guy in spanish and he also spoke to the ref? I guess the guy was trying to explain himself or something...nadal said to talk in the locker room at the net end of match.

by Anonymous | reply 274 | July 2, 2022 10:23 PM |
Nick is such a manipulative, narcissistic cunt. Acts like an asshole the entire match, then manages to make it sound like Stef was the problem. I've known so many people like that in my life, it's maddening. His "Who, me?" act is really getting stale. Total sociopath.
Good for Stef for calling out Nick as the bully he is. "He was probably bullied as a kid." That's absolutely correct--and we know that Nick was bullied for being fat (he used to be chubby) and for being a person of color. So the bullied becomes a bully, as usual.
I've been not loving Stef in recent years--the bathroom break stuff, etc.--but I really have new respect for him after this match. If Nick wins Wimbledon this year, I'll plotz.
I actually predict Nick will pull out of the next round with the hip injury he sustained during his match with Stef. Nick cannot go the distance and will find a way to pull the ripcord before he has to actually put up or shut up. God I hate him.
by Anonymous | reply 275 | July 2, 2022 10:32 PM |
R275 Think you may be right. Just seen that Kyrgios said this in his after match interview. Kyrgios on Tsitsipas: "He's got some serious issues. I'm good in the locker room, I've got many friends...he's not liked. Let's just put that there."
by Anonymous | reply 276 | July 2, 2022 10:38 PM |
the Kyrgios-Tsitsipas match was fun. Why are prisspots so mad about it? Surely some of you were around for the Nastate, Connors and McEnroe years. I don't like when Kyrgios goes too far and gets himself dq'ed but some drama is fine. Too bad the match wasn't on center court
Tsitsipas is no angel and I love how he started to hit all his shots at the net directly at Kyrgios after the conflict started.
Nadal has some nerve to tell Sonego to stop grunting lol. Nadal has 1 of the loudest most obnoxious grunts in the game but of course the media won't call him a hypocrite

"@jon_wertheim
Hearing Nadal - now tuning Sonego - is being exceptionally Covid-cautious here. Often wearing a mask, even sometimes outdoors; requesting his team not eat out...If nothing else, suggests how serious he is about giving himself every possible chance to win a 3x Major."
GOOD. Hope Nadal does it. Please crush Djocovid's dreams.

R249 I agree with him, but the problem is that it would inevitable create a big distraction for the player (especially considering it's an individual sport). I can see someone of this generation coming out, but only after becoming established as a champion. Or if they end up being flops and have not much to lose. The only player who I think would truly benefit from it right now (if he were gay) is Zverev. Closet cases who compromise to the point of wife/kids usually die in the closet, so I don't even consider them. The ones with gfs can always say, later, that they are bi/fluid/pan/whoresexual.

Martina Navratilova said that Rafael called Lorenzo up to the net to complain about grunting right after Lorenzo had scored, I think, his only break point of the match, and had some momentum. She implied it was a deliberate strategy for Rafael to fuck with his head before breaking back and winning the match.
Their extended animated argument hilariously managed to be the Peak Med moment in a night of passionate Med antics.

Zverev is hoping to play the US Open but I have my doubts. He had surgery one month ago and not sure if that's even too soon for an orthopedic boot. He could very well be still in a cast.

How awful if already two of the greatest ever players are gay, and the world will never know.
... well, honestly, I used to believe it about Rafael, who had all the hallmarks, but not so much the last few years. The fact that he put off kids for so long - despite Roger and Novak and lower-ranked, less-wealthy players proving it was possible - especially after the tenth French victory, just makes him seem like more of a cold-hearted bastard than anything else.

look Djokovic deserves all the shit he gets
but today Nadal was throwing his weight around in a pressure moment which was completely uncalled for and hypocritical. Again Nadal is a loud grunter and his grunt gets louder when the score is tight. Secondly why didn't he say something earlier in the match if Sonego was annoying him?
interesting to note in watching the Tennis Channel-Courier and Annacone are much more critical of how Tsitsipas reacted to Kyrgios than the ESPN crew

R302 - THANK YOU! I wondered what geezer John McEnroe saw, his incredible non stop criticism of Nick, while either not realizing what Stef did, was idiocy on his part. Stef, should have been GONE when he did what he did with that ball. He AIMED for that section of the crowd.

by Anonymous | reply 304 | July 3, 2022 2:59 AM |
well it's beyond the first ball Tsitsipas hit. When Kyrgios hit that underarm serve in the third set, Tsitsipas purposely just whacked it as hard as he could and it went flying out somewhere. That should have gotten him in trouble too
I get it Tsitsipas was annoyed and unnerved by Kyrgios but you don't start hitting balls like that into the crowd. The fact that he did it twice was quite poor sportsmanship. I had no problem when he started hitting the ball at Kyrgios during points but don't put the crowd and linespeople in danger

Tsitsipas, who repeatedly tried to hit balls at Kyrgios and twice hit them into the crowd, claimed: 'It's constant bullying. He bullies opponents. He was probably a bully at school himself. I don't like bullies. 'I don't like people that put other people down. He has some good traits in his character, as well. But he also has a very evil side to him, which if it's exposed, it can really do a lot of harm and bad to the people around him.' Kyrgios laughed in response and said: 'I'm not sure how I bullied him. He was the one hitting balls at me, he was the one that hit a spectator, he was the one that smacked it out of the stadium.
'I didn't do anything. Apart from me just going back and forth to the umpire for a bit, I did nothing towards Stefanos that was disrespectful, I don't think. I was not drilling him with balls.
'I was just competing at Wimbledon, and I did it. It was successful. Everything I did worked. I'm not going out there to be his friend. Do you want me give him a lot of respect, and say "Beautiful shot, Stefanos?"
'No, that's not what I'm going to give to him. I'm just going to be myself.'
Tsitsipas added: 'I have to say it was really bad from my side. I have never done that before, throwing the ball outside the court in that way. I did apologise to the people. I don't know what went through my head at that time.'
The Greek star also called on fellow professionals to form a collective to stop Kyrgios from constant sniping at umpires and officials as he believes the Aussie uses it as a tactic to distract opponents.
by Anonymous | reply 314 | July 3, 2022 4:35 AM |
He said Kyrgios turned the match into a circus, insisting: 'I didn't hit any people. It hit the wall, thank God. For sure I'm never doing that again. It's my responsibility, for sure. But there was also something that created that behaviour that I'm not used to see myself.
'I wish we could come together and put a rule in place. Something about talking. Why would you be talking while playing? It makes no sense. Every single point I feel like there was something going on the other side of the net. There is no other player that does this.
'I really hope all us players can come up with something and make this a cleaner version of our sport, have this kind of behaviour not accepted.'
On his second code violation for hitting the ball out of the court, Tsitsipas said: 'I was aiming for the body of my opponent but I missed by a lot, by a lot.'
Kyrgios was asked why he thought his opponent was so upset and responded: 'I would be pretty upset if I lost to someone two weeks in a row. Maybe he should figure out how to beat me a couple more times first and then get to that. We really need to stop putting us on the same level of behaviour today.'
Kyrgios also refused to apologise for his on court antics - as Tsitsipas did and explained: 'I'll get fined for that. Why would I need to apologise? I'm getting fined for it. I always get fined. I'm very keen to see what he will get after today. The circus was all him.'
Kyrgios saved his biggest laugh at the suggestion that his fellow players will rally behind his beaten opponent.
He said: 'I just think he's making that match about me, like he's got some serious issues, like serious. I'm good in the locker room. I've got many friends. I'm actually one of the most liked. I'm set. He's not liked. Let's just put that there. 'He's that soft, to come in here and say I bullied him, that's just soft. We're not cut from the same cloth. I go up against guys who are true competitors. If he's affected by that, then that's what's holding him back.'

I love SoneGOAT (and was rooting for him against Nadal) but I have to admit his grunt (and gamesmanship) is ridiculous. Rafa's isn't great either, but Sonego's is really used on purpose to distract opponents. Even Gael Monfils had to have a word with him at the net in their last match about showing some more respect.
Nick repeatedly calling Tsitsipas 'soft' is exactly the kind of underhanded homophobic language that makes me dislike him. The reason Nick is more liked in the locker room than Stef is because the tour hates the sensitive, effeminate kid and worships the toxic masculinity of Nick. They all walk on eggshells around him, even Daniil, Flopos, Novak, etc. because they know the press storm that comes with it.
Also pretty outrageous for him to say that Stefanos was the one who made it a 'circus'. Really? I always feel like the tour needs a good villain (Soderling, Hingis, Lendl, even pre-stabbing Seles in some way) but there's a difference between having a personality, and just being arrogant. It *IS* distraction and delay tactics. And the worst part is that Nick is so whiny about it and still plays the 'poor me' game. Bye.

R317 I was just about to say "soft" is code for f*g. Kyrgios is clearly a nasty homophobe. I'm wondering if he knows something though? I doubt he calls all his opponents "soft". Is Tsitsipas actually gay? Is he the first gay ATP player?
by Anonymous | reply 330 | July 3, 2022 9:08 AM |
I don't think Kyrgios is homophobic at all. Homophobes don't have gay friends. And AFAIA, he is on friendly terms with Ben Rothenberg and even had exchanges with winks and heavy (homo)sexual innuendo.
Also I disagree with R234 who wrote
[quote]Kyrgios doesn't have the mental and physical strenght to defeat Nadal
Kyrgios-Nadal h2h is 3-6 so Kyrgios definitely has what it takes to beat Nadal, especially at Wimbledon, where he sent him packing back in 2014.
by Anonymous | reply 331 | July 3, 2022 9:26 AM |
The relationship between Nick and Ben Rothenburg is more like the gay nerdy kid in school who has a crush on the bully jock (who makes fun of him repeatedly, but keeps him just close enough to make the poor sod still worship him). Nick is a narcissist. I love his tennis, but let's call a spade a spade.
Calling Stefanos "soft" repeatedly and saying "we're not cut from the same cloth, I go up against guys who are TRUE competitors, he has no friends in the locker room, i'm well liked." Is bullying with homophobic undertones. He has always made fun of Stef's sensitive qualities, his youtube videos, tweets, etc.
The only other players who do like Stefanos are also a bit effeminate and less traditionally manly - Thiem, Ruud, Hurkacz, Dimitrov, Qureshi (an older Pakistani doubles specialist who Stef calls his closest friend on the tour). It's sad. I'm not saying he's been an angel on court himself (although I don't know why he's the only one is called out for using delay tactics/coaching), but there's definitely an element of picking on the 'different' kid, the "SOFT" kid.
And you wonder why no player wants to come out?
by Anonymous | reply 332 | July 3, 2022 9:35 AM |
R332 Preach. There is clearly a homophobic and toxic environment on the ATP tour which makes it hard for players to come out.
by Anonymous | reply 333 | July 3, 2022 9:40 AM |
Rothemberg is right about the gay player. Times changed and if a player comes out (specially if he is young and a promising player) he'll get a lot of sponsors. Unfortunately coming out comes with a lot of attention which is not good for the development of a player.
Kyrgios-Tsitsipas was a duel of drama queens. I'm happy they continue to bitch about the other after the match and at least they don't pretend they are friends anymore
by Anonymous | reply 334 | July 3, 2022 10:32 AM |
R331 He was the new kid on tour in 2014. He never defeated Nadal on GS again (not even on Wimbledon).
Kyrgios lacks the physical strength and he gets easily distracted when the match don't go his way. He is very talented, but lacks a lot of attitudes that make a big champion.
He defeated Nole the two times they played, but if they face each other on a GS final, Nole will destroy him
by Anonymous | reply 335 | July 3, 2022 10:35 AM |
I can't believe the doubling down of ESPN's McEnroe Brothers, determined to slam Nick and ignore what Titsypaws did with the ball. I guess Evert had brain cancer, because her comments were just as stupid. Thank God the Tennis Channel crew figured out that Stefano should have been booted. Patrick McEnroe, beneficiary extradionnaire of his big brother's largesse, made sure to agree with Big Bro all the way. When Johnny Mac has to pick his Fed, er, Laver Cup team I am sure he won't want Nick on the World Team he coaches with Lil Bro.
by Anonymous | reply 336 | July 3, 2022 11:49 AM |
R336 But it's a little rich that Kyrgios has a problem with it when Stefanos 'could' have hit someone with the ball, but not when it was him ACTUALLY hitting a young fan in the stomach with the ball?
Give me a fucking break. And notice his spray-on hair to cover his baldness melting down his forehead in the pic.
by Anonymous | reply 337 | July 3, 2022 11:53 AM |
Titsypas KNEW where he was hitting that ball when he did it. What happened to Davidovitch Fokina when he got a point penalty that defaulted him against Vessely, and he was stunned, but mature enough to accept it with a minor protest. You could see Jiri felt bad about it, too. Tits looked sheepish for the rest of the match BECAUSE he knew he should have been gone.

Another small cunty thing Nick did you may not have noticed -
At one point Titsi walked over to his towel box, and not only had Nick piled his own box up with used towels - it looked like an overflowing dirty laundry basket - but he'd placed another one of his towels on top of Titsi's.
I don't think the 'soft' comment was homophobia, it's just to undercut him.
But really the fact Nick spat at a spectator and wasn't thrown out of the tournament is unbelievable.

I'm still thinking about Nick's press conference. Him saying that Stef is "soft" is really so toxic. Nick is clearly the victim of some trauma, some event in his childhood--likely bullying--that causes him to have no empathy for others, much less any professionalism. The belief that good men are "strong" and weak men are "soft" just shows how very immature he is. It's just pathetic and he's a lousy role model for boys. Really toxic stuff.

If anything it will attract too much attention. I think that to bear that figer always pointed at you, the player must have the game and results to make it become a side thing. Alcaraz (Garfia) in trouble. Lost first two sets to Il Gingio.
by Anonymous | reply 377 | July 3, 2022 4:38 PM |
Well that does it then, Djoko will win Wimbledon this year. I don't think Rafa will stop him unfortunately.

Not sure why Kyrgios get's the 'traumatic childhood, possibly bullying' comments. Any evidence for this? He was a fat kid, but plenty of pudgy kids are massive bullies themselves, always barging through the little ones and younger ones. Kyrgios just sounds like a classic bully. 'Stef has no friends, no-one likes him, so it's ok to chuck his stuff in the pool' sort of thing.
by Anonymous | reply 381 | July 3, 2022 5:49 PM |
I know, it's so high school! He's not liked in the locker room, I have more friends than him. They like me better than him etc

by Anonymous | reply 389 | July 3, 2022 7:11 PM |
Of course Alcaraz lost. Fucking pathetic. He's a fucking mug, a mental midget. ZERO break points won today. He even double faulted TWICE to break himself. What a fucking idiot. Even when Sinner was choking, he was making stupid mistakes and basically outchoking him. I'm no longer a fan. He's a fucking idiot. Can't stand him anymore. Fucking overhyped shit player.

Van Rijthoven has a relatively nice ass.

by Anonymous | reply 399 | July 3, 2022 7:20 PM |
R396 Did you hear Andrew Castle bring up Kyrgios during the Norrie match earlier? It was obvious the other commentators didn't really want to dredge it all up again, but he kept pushing. He's a dickhead.

by Anonymous | reply 404 | July 3, 2022 7:48 PM |
Oh good, Williams/Murray were knocked out. Makes her defensive reply to that journalist quite laughable.
by Anonymous | reply 405 | July 3, 2022 7:54 PM |
Venus' age was showing throughout the match, but Jamie played a bizarre and horrible tiebreak. I thought Andy's return of serve was weak but Jamie just puffballs it back every time? They had 5 match points including one on his serve that he completely bottled, and they lost 18-16. It reminded me of that Olympics final when her doubles partner let her down in the tiebreak. He was always crossing at the wrong times.
Oh well, at least she lasted longer than Serena in the tournament for a second year in a row. I just found out there is a legends mixed event this Wimbledon?? Wtf?

I'll say that I didn't much like how Tim struggled to take break points and to serve the set out but he can play really well on grass, very enjoyable.

Cash was speaking after he'd been on centre court for the centenary parade of former champions but he's evidently concerned at the prospect of how Kyrgios might conduct himself there.
Three-time Australian Open champion Wilander told Eurosport: 'I've never seen anything like it.
'I'm not sure I want to see something like that again, to be honest, because I don't think this is what we want to promote in tennis. We want to not promote it as entertainment.
'We want to promote it as inspirational, educational, but this is what people maybe want to see. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of what's going on to be honest.'
The greatest irony was McEnroe's attack while commentating for ESPN. 'It's embarrassing. He doesn't need to do all this,' said the man once dubbed 'Superbrat' at SW19 for his behaviour but is now one of its favourite fixtures.
'It's scary how good he is - that's what's sad in a way.'
