Extreme wealth concentrated in very few hands. A tiny middle class on the payroll and at the complete service of said few hands. A huge underclass of mostly POC that continues to breed uncontrollably because abortion is illegal and that has enormous and extremely violent crime rates.
The rich having ensconced themselves in high security compounds to protect themselves and ignore the masses.
In short, a dystopian society and hell on earth for the majority.

No more middle class, but most crusty poor old whites have been tricked into believing that black and brown people have taken something from them.
If Thomas gets everything he, his donors and his wife Miss Millie want, it will disable any power that unmarried women, gays, and some people of color had.
