Gatwa is 29, Tennant was 34 when he was cast. Gatwa has 2 BAFTA nominations already, Tennant has never had a nomination.

I lost interest after Matt Smith left. The old guy wasn’t even a hot granddaddy type. When they replaced him with that fish, I was well and truly done.

I hadn't considered Gatwa as a possibility for 14, but I like him, and I can see him doing well in the role. I am looking forward to seeing him as the Doctor, and I am excited for RTD to return and breathe some life back into the show.
