Love the idea of gwyneth as some sort of cut throat competition eliminator all the while extolling the virtues of crystals and mindful sh*t. She has had a few actress acquaintances who tragically saw their careers take a tumble for personal reasons. Didn’t she audition for “husbands & wives”after emily lloyd got fired but Juliette Lewis got the part. As for the Oscar r16 I think it’s just a footnote in history at this point. And the weinstein scandal made a lot of people look back and question that whole era and the politics involved.

Hollywood in the 90s was all a bit “all about eve” meets “showgirls” with Emily lloyd being replaced in mermaids by Winona and then Winona’s reign being succeeded by Paltrow.
