It's not a secret he uses hairpieces for movies. I remember the stylist or someone showing his lacefront for Captain America (I remember it because it was creepy looking on the wig stand). And I think even he's talked about losing his hair.

That's an obvious wig. It's shocking that the production wouldn't have had the best quality wig for Chris Evans.

Transplants give the absolute tiniest amount of hair coverage. An actor is working under bright, heavy industrial lights. They don't need a few thousand follicles--they need a mop. Many actors over 30 and definitely most over 40 wear hair systems.

Transplants also prevent you from shaving your head or even a super short haircut. the scar is obvious if they take a strip of skin and even the FUE graft spots leave noticable scarring

The best hair replacements are custom made and blended with different lightness, texture and curl (baby hair) around the hairline. My guess is that it’s a mere stock model- most imported wig makers are back ordered months to a year behind because of Covid restrictions in Asian countries.

A Hair transplant will never look “lush” and I’m guessing he’s already had a procedure that didn’t take well. Even the very best ones can’t be brushed straight back because a wig won’t “flow” like a natural scalp will.

They also usually have more than one and no matter how well cut, they will look different.
