For this reason every effing business that accepts credit/debit/charge cards builds said costs into prices.

There is also fact for sales below certain amount cost per credit/debit/charge card are rather steep. Visa, Mastercard, Amex and rest once forbade those with merchant accounts from attaching minimum purchase surcharges, though now IIRC it is allowed but must be < $10.

For a bar or club depending upon prices for beer and booze versus transaction fees it may not make sense to accept credit or charge cards. Drink/beer prices at Eagle are rather reasonable for NYC, thus perhaps dealing only in cash plus cover charge on certain nights seems to be working out well.

Yeah he seems to be doing fine, who knows why he disappeared but he was at The Eagle when I went Friday.

I went to the Eagle once, but didn't stay long. The stench of beer and all those guys with scruffy faces and hairy chests, arms, and pits were a huge turn-off for me. I can imagine a majority of them didn't shave or at least trim below the waist either, but I didn't get up close and personal with anyone to find out. Just not my thing.
