this same week paps snapped Ad*m L*llana out and about...walking his kids...or something💤....cos he isn’t actually training...cos his team don’t need his creaky bones or his bitter loser mentality.....

reminder this is the prick who got himself dropped from LFC a few years back for laziness and who broke Hendo’s heart. so this is especially delicious!!!!!

It was so sexy the way Kostas Tsimikas was nibbling Mason Mount’s ear all game and playing filthy mind games with him😘

Wonder if they hate-fucked in one of the dark Wembley corridors or at the hotel after?

Adorable how shy Taki Minamino was to celebrate. Japanese culture prizes modesty and stoicism even in young men. The rest of the team had to encourage him to get a bit loud and wild🔥

And to think that for a decade up until 2017-18 season, there were scads of bitter stalwart ‘supporters’ all baying that Hendo didn’t deserve a place in the XI let alone the Captaincy and that they wanted him dropped then traded away.

Goes to show you. Be careful who you count out and of whom you make mock...

My partner loved Stevie G and it's such a pity he was never able to win more...

Henderson has won more than captain fantastic.

Henderson is such a good guy, he deserves it.

by Anonymousreply 15May 15, 2022 12:54 AM

Too bad they are not coming to the USA for preseason!

Your partner has/had great taste!

This season's F.A. Cup victory stands as the perfect course-correction and vindication for poor Stevie's sad accidental loss to those Chelsky bastards in 2014 (the last year of his career with LFC). Goes to show that there is some justice in the world, just that it sometimes takes a while for the Universe to deliver.

Yes! Hendo's just the perfect gentleman, as well as being the most determined and strong and responsible prize-winning Captain. He can do no wrong imo.

Hendo even spent full minutes of his victorious moment to comfort his England teammate Mason Mount on Chelsea's loss (arguably Mason's burden to carry...), right there on the pitch when Jordan could have been celebrating and rubbing it in the face of the Chelsea players. That's how good of a man he is.

Anyone watching the Liverpool-Wolves game atm?

Can only bear to watch through my fingers, I'm in bits, a bag of nerves. LFC need to have the three points available here, yet we're sitting at 1-1 with thirty minutes to go. Salah's just come on, thank fuck, but will it be enough to nick three goals?

At least City aren't playing their current fixture at Villa well. I need Baldiola to absolutely choke tonight.

ASTON VILLA. Youse had one job. That's it. Now thanks to your weak effort, we all have to tolerate yet another fucking year of Premiership City.

We deserved that final point and that trophy so much. We played better, worked harder, gave more heart and stayed focused. City just buy their victories.

by Anonymousreply 22May 22, 2022 5:02 PM

There is still the CL final!

Southgate: Hendo doesn't need to come to Nations' League games he just needs a holiday. His campaign for UCL has left the man exhausted and I respect that

Trent: ok sound so then can I stay behind as well

Southgate: if I don't see you at St. George's Park next weekend in the regulation blue kit taking selfies with Grealish you are in so much trouble young man

Trent: -_-

Tough match. Trent was awful, the front three can't finish, Thiago clearly wasn't match fit and Keita was a joke. Only Konate played above his norm. Liverpool need to go shopping for some upgrades. 0 goals in 330 minutes of cup finals is not heavy metal football.

by Anonymousreply 34May 28, 2022 10:57 PM

they had too many chances....only themselves to blame. why didn't the coach start firmino? Diaz is shit.

by Anonymousreply 35May 29, 2022 12:18 AM

Waking up this morning my heart is shattered.

Poor Trent. He’s absolutely getting battered this morning by embittered fans online, for letting in that B*nz*m* goal. Would contend it’s not his fault everyone plays him as a defender when he’s clearly not suited to that position, and that he does the best he can in a less-than-ideal backline, but that’s just me and my salt talking...

And moreso, my heart breaks for poor Hendo. He worked so hard, gave it everything and came so close, and still saw what was probably his last big chance for glory on the mainstage (as Captain in the starting XI) cruelly taken. And now even Steven Gerrard is calling for him to be sent to the Knacker’s Yard, or at least benched and used in the B-team. Not the ending the best English Skipper in a decade really deserves.

He need to buy new players. Diaz was utter shite. Jota should have started.

*they

by Anonymousreply 38May 29, 2022 1:05 PM

R35/R37 yeah, there's gonna be a cull and a big Closing Down sale in the next window.

Hopefully some of the academy kids and the U19 stars will get their fair shot at an XI spot, though. Curtis Jones comes to mind.

by Anonymousreply 39May 29, 2022 1:41 PM

Sadio Mane has said he's leaving!

by Anonymousreply 40May 29, 2022 1:55 PM

R40 if Jordan Henderson gave me a piece of his mind in front of 90,000 people, I think I'd quit my job too.

R37 true; but, really, honestly, did any player on the pitch out there on either side produce above a 5 out of 10 performance? Only Courtois, to be honest, and his gangly arms helped matters. Everyone else looked ordinary and passable, at best. That wasn’t a Champions' League final calibre game, far from it; it looked and felt more like an inconsequential Southampton vs. Brighton midtable end-of-season fixture. Watching with my Dad (who fell asleep a couple of times in the first half), I turned round to him at the 70th minute and said, "let's be honest--this is boring. This is a rubbish match, a let-down. This doesn't feel like a proper final. The Carabao was better, and not just 'cos we won." When the pre-match rioting is the highlight and the talking-point, you know there's a problem.

As much as an ageing or not-quite-good-enough squad, I also think Liverpool were simply too exhausted mentally to compete anymore. In their hearts & minds, this season ended with the robbery of the Prem by City. They proclaimed consciously and conscientiously that they didn't bring that crushing disappointment with them into the Real game, but the result told the tale. Deep down, the unconscious mood was palpable: "what's the fucking point? We do everything and then some, do better than any team in Europe, challenge everyone and ourselves consistently, only for City/PSG/Real etc. to just buy the game off anyway." Relentless Klopp-esque positivity and ethics only take you so far, and that's about the only thing Liverpool have left to learn--how to play dirty and nasty, take your pound of flesh Fergie-style (and I can't stand SAF, so you know it's the truth if I'm admitting it and other LFC fans are admitting it).
