Who Her Majesty receives as guests is determined by the government and she is required by law to play along. It's one of the most difficult aspects of her job. I actually think the Queen stopped drinking booze a while ago. I had noticed that a few years ago at banquets she stopped having her usual Gin & Dubonnet and just had ice water instead. I see where the tired argument comes from. As someone who has had knee pain, I can say that it can really drain you of energy.

I don't think the Queen will be gone tomorrow, but this is probably the beginning of spiraling health problems that will see her out in a year or two. My grandfather was the same way: Almost perfect health until his early 90s, and then he declined over the course of a year.

I just have to get this off my chest: I am so fucking sick of Kate Garraway. She went through a terrible thing with her near dead COVIDy husband. She wasn't the only one. But every other day seems to be a story about Kate Garraway and her COVID drama. Enough, lady. Less is more.
