A trend I love
“Submissive and Breedable” Meme sweeps Social Media

Summer is an undeniably horny season and, in these months of newly vaccinated debauchery after a year and a half of isolation, compliments are fittingly depraved. Thanks to a series of copypastas circulating on TikTok, Twitter, and Tumblr, this summer's motto is "breedable." There is no hidden meaning in this phrasing. This isn't youthful slang that older generations will have to Google to understand, though the word's explicit nature may incite another round of fear-mongering articles failing to decode what teens are texting each other. When people refer to themselves or others as breedable, they literally mean so hot; they'd like to procreate. The word breedable is ingrained in misogyny both online and offline, but a complex one in fanfiction circles, which are largely populated by queer writers and readers. The phrase "submissive and breedable" stems from a June tweet that reads, "normalize platonically telling your bros they look submissive and breedable," per Know Your Meme.
Though the term breedable has been used in fandom circles for years — particularly in the Omegaverse genre of fics — the tweet's viral reach directly contributed to bringing breedable to more mainstream vernacular. Google searches for "breedable" skyrocketed after Twitter user @T4RIG encouraged complimenting other men as "submissive and breedable." The tag #breedable has 1.8 million views on TikTok as of Tuesday.
Upon the tweet's viral success, Twitter users — particularly in reference to male Twitter users — began referring to themselves and each other as "breedable," "fertile," or "submissive" as a tongue-in-cheek acknowledgement of desirability.

Apparently we can't type " alounge" anymore. So E.d.w.i.n.a.l.o.u.n.g.e . And fuck you, a!

I’ve seen straight InstaHo bros commenting on each other’s pics that the guy looks “submissive and breedable.”
Agree with R3, that the guy in OP’s post cannot carry this off. He’s too much of a dork.

Another misogynistic trend. Submissive and Breedable?Ridiculous patriarchal beliefs.

The Fittest Wizard had an amusing take in the whole trend.

Wait are they saying they are looking hot so their genes should be bred into some kiddies, or are they saying that they are looking hot enough to be raw dogged by their friends? The submissive part makes me think the latter, but at some of these links it seems as if they’re interpreting it as the former.

Speaking as one of the late 90s/00s slash-fanfic Livejournal/Geocities-webring people (looking back, I was way too young and sheltered to be there at the time, but I was there nonetheless), I can’t believe a/b/o & mpreg concepts & parlance have now entered mainstream consciousness.
Back in the day, we treated our tiny cracky kinky underworld like Fight Club. It would have been unthinkable to us back then that civilians would ever be talking about each other in everyday life and slang, the same way that we once would jokingly whisper about male fictional characters & celebrities.
The magic of the internet really was ruined when the Normies showed up and anonymity disappeared.

China is having a field day programming western suckers.

R20 how exactly does this trend help Ch!na?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 18, 2021 5:44 PM |
This is so disturbing that people will go along with ANYTHING to be cool and accepted. It’s sick.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 18, 2021 5:44 PM |
r19 I think it was Twilight and Teen Wolf that made the whole thing mainstream (at least fandom mainstream). Once you have 75% of fangirls with a deep fetishistic knowledge of canine mating practices and what a knott is then society is all but dead and we may as well start firing the nukes.

R23, depends upon what they are going along with. This one is great

Assuming that the most breedable men have to have curves and a fantastic arse....

Lame. Tik Tok is getting close to becoming Vine.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 25, 2021 5:06 PM |
It’s hot. Lots of sexy bros in this meme
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 25, 2021 5:21 PM |
So is this something gay couples are whispering to each other as a prelude to intimacy?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 25, 2021 5:45 PM |
It’s all the copycat posers who do whatever they see someone else get attention for. There is nothing alpha about being a copycat brat with no skills and no contribution to anything.
You do not see the real alphas on Tik Tok. Some people will never see the real thing. They can’t see it. They are not welcome to see it. So enjoy the scraps on Tik Tok

Uh, where the hell are they getting that idea from? Unless by "queer" they mean straight girls and fraus who like to write yaoi?

Love giggly feminine submissive men, big fan me. They make me feel very tuff and butchy. More of them should be.
