Thread to post about the gay athletes that will compete in the Olympics. Please stick to male athletes only. No lesbians or trans.
Gays in the Olympics
by Anonymous | reply 333 | February 9, 2022 11:34 PM |
No trans? Certainly. No lesbians? Fuck you, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 10, 2021 1:14 PM |
Start your own "Lesbians in the Olympics" thread, r1.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 10, 2021 1:16 PM |
Bruce Jenner’s gay. He’s an ex-gay.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 10, 2021 1:19 PM |
This Canadian swimmer is qualified for the Olympics.

[quote] No lesbians or trans.
That’s LITERAL VIOLENCE!!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 10, 2021 1:41 PM |
R3, I think this thread refers to the *upcoming* Olympics.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 10, 2021 1:42 PM |
R1 There's a reason for that.
Lesbians in olympics are not a rarity unlike gay male athletes (well, openly gay male athletes).
And trans, in most sports trans are not allowed to compete (and in sports where there's money i don't think that'll change anytime soon)
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 10, 2021 1:43 PM |
This gay is trying to go to Tokyo but don't know whether he has qualified.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 10, 2021 2:02 PM |
Closeted American diving twunks David Boudia and Steele Johnson.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 10, 2021 3:12 PM |
The majority of male gymnasts, divers, and volleyball players.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 10, 2021 3:15 PM |
I wonder why gays seem to gravitate towards those sports?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 10, 2021 3:17 PM |
Olympic fisting
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 10, 2021 3:29 PM |
I wonder if the male gymnasts prefer to fuck the male divers after their events? Or would it be the other way around?
Perhaps it's the wrestlers who like fucking both the flexible gymnasts and divers?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 10, 2021 3:29 PM |
R13, a friend used to play for the UCLA men's volleyball team. He never hooked up so much in his life before or since -- sounded quite incestuous.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 10, 2021 3:34 PM |
R13 Volleyball is an anomaly, but gays tend to prefer sports where you're judged on what you look like (gymnastics) or wear very little clothing (swimming, diving).
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 10, 2021 3:37 PM |
Gays tend to move to non team sports like tennis and ice skating
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 10, 2021 3:38 PM |
Pole vaulting
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 10, 2021 3:46 PM |
R7 Exactly. There are a ton of lesbians in the Olympics. Besides, this is a website for mainly gay men, hence most of us will naturally be more interested in the gay male athletes.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 10, 2021 3:50 PM |
Would love to see what Grindr looks like in Tokyo during the Olympics.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 10, 2021 3:59 PM |
Do they still hand out condoms and lube at Olympic village?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 10, 2021 4:56 PM |
R22 I doubt it this year because of covid.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 10, 2021 5:24 PM |
The gymnastics and diving is quite easy to understand why attract so many gays, both are individual sports with an artistic part (like ice skating).
Of course tennis must be one of the sports with more gay fans and there's no serious rumours about gay players (maybe because the enviroment is conservative and a lot of players are from homophobic countries).
On team sports is very surprising that rugby seems to be one of the sports with more openly gay players
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 10, 2021 5:38 PM |
R21 In Río there was an article about that that put in danger several athletes, so i hope there won't be any investigative journalism this time
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 10, 2021 5:43 PM |
R24 You forgot swimming. It's a gay sport for some reason.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 10, 2021 6:05 PM |
R26 But there are very few openly gay swimmers
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 10, 2021 6:09 PM |
There's one from Finland and one from Canada. Pretty sure I've read about others too.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 10, 2021 6:13 PM |
I read that they’re handing out 160,000 condoms, but the official line is they're intended to be Olympics "souvenirs". Also, they’re not giving out face masks — athletes have to bring their own.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 10, 2021 6:54 PM |
Thanks for posting that, r25.
I vaguely remember something in the news or somewhere about Grindr at the last Olympics, but I couldn’t remember what it was all about.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 10, 2021 7:12 PM |
I don't really know that many gay tennis players. I've known more gay boxers and football players than tennis players
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 10, 2021 7:16 PM |
R31 Tennis is weird. It has lots of gay fans but little to no gay pro athletes (that we know of). Many journalists have written about the possible reasons.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 10, 2021 7:25 PM |
That's because it's a sport with a lot of money around.
There are several factors, first it's an expensive sport so most players come from rich families.
There are a lot of players from countries that are not known for being gay friendly.
Sports enviroments tend to be conservative.
And it's uncharted territory.
In a sport you need to be focused because you depend on yourself, probably the first coming out will receive too much attention for the player's sake
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 10, 2021 8:38 PM |
R28 Swimmer Ari-Pekka Liukkonen, openly gay, here winning 50 m freestyle European Championship
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 10, 2021 8:56 PM |
R34 yes that's impressive but what about Ari-Pekka's pecker?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 10, 2021 11:13 PM |
42 days until the Tokyo Olympics.
I think the Games should go forward. We kind of need something positive like this right now after the last 15 months. I'm sure the organizers will keep it safe.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 10, 2021 11:52 PM |
r30 it was because some of the athletes were from countries where they kill gay people...or at least put them in jail.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 11, 2021 12:19 AM |
No track and field athletes are gay! They're all straight dudebros like me!
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 11, 2021 12:24 AM |
r38 doesn't your asshole whistle when you run?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 11, 2021 12:38 AM |
R38 Kerron Clemments came out a couple of years ago. I don't know if he still competes because he was at the end of his career

R24 How many of those gymnast are gay gay gay? All of the ones spotlighted all got girlfriends/wives. Been waiting for the US gay gymnast Olympic competitor but not as come out about any guys that will or have competed.

R44 wasn't Guillaume Cizeron dating an American gymnast?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 11, 2021 2:56 PM |
R45, I'm guessing a previous gymnast. The guy in the video seems short. His body is no longer gymnast tight. He might have won gold in a team event.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 11, 2021 5:00 PM |
Any track and field gossip?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 11, 2021 6:43 PM |
Yes.
Jump BEFORE you get to the hurdle, if only slightly.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 11, 2021 8:35 PM |
For some reason, the men’s 110 Hurdles always seems to attract a lot of gays. Lots of rumors about the current top hurdler, Omar Macleod. He’s a big Mary but since he’s Jamaican, he’d probably get killed. He’s also very religious
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 11, 2021 9:55 PM |
R51 And he is the runner that nobody wants by his side because he has the ability of molest the athletes who run by his side.
I think there are a good number of gays on track and field, but unlike other sports they rely on sponsorship unless you are a top athlete which makes more difficult to come out
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 12, 2021 11:40 AM |

R51, which other gay men have competed in the 110 hurdles? The only one who comes to mind is Colin Jackson.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | June 12, 2021 12:33 PM |
R54 Not in a sexual way, of course.
I remember Orlando Ortega complaining about how Omar moves his arms and invade other athletes space.
Nobody wants to run near him

R55 I remember a british one (not Colin) but he was not one of the best

Tyler Downs, who won the three-meter springboard, is super beautiful. He's only 17 (for another month).

The hookups around the Olympic Village must be FANTASTIC, given they're all athletes.

by Anonymous | reply 62 | June 16, 2021 3:55 PM |
R55, Aries Merritt always pinged for me. Plus a bunch of second tier ones. Like, maybe not Olympians but ones who would make the US finals but finish 6th etc.

by Anonymous | reply 65 | June 22, 2021 9:40 AM |
It appears Sha’Carri Richardson is an out lesbian. Yes, I know this mention doesn’t follow OP’s rules, but since she will be contesting one of the marquee events of the Olympics (and will probably be one of the featured athletes) it’s worth a mention.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | June 22, 2021 10:37 AM |
[quote] which other gay men have competed in the 110 hurdles? The only one who comes to mind is Colin Jackson.
Only Colin Jackson 110 (and Kerron Clement) have come out. Both after they retired, Jackson after denying it multiple for over two decades. There's very interesting old LSA thread by the wife of an agent who represented mainly sprinters. She said her husband would come home exhausted and complaining because of their private lives were a mess and he had to do some heavy-duty cleaning and play therapist all the time. I'll try and list the ones I remember over the years from her and otheer sources.
1. Kerron Clement 400m hurdles (retired) - gay & out
2. Colin Jackson 110m hurdles (retd) - gay & out
3. Carl Lewis 100m, 200m & Long Jump (retd) - sus
4. Aries Merrit 110m hurdles (retd) - sus
5. Jason Richardson110m hurdles (retd) - sus
6. Omar McLeod 110m hurdles - sus
7. Pascal Martinot-Lagarde 110m hurdles - straight & married (though a few fans used to find him a little flamboyant)
8. Pierre-Ambroise Bosse 800m - sus
9. Jean Galfione Pole Vault (retd) - sus but has been married to a woman for years
10. Kevin Mayer Decathlon - sus. Wasn't happy when a reporter asked him directly. Started mentioning and appearing everywhere with his girlfriend after that. She may or may not be a beard.
Now, as per LSA's wife of the agent: Tyson Gay (bi but truly one of the nicest men in track. May have sworn off guys after being cheated on repeatedly. With a woman, now) Maurice Greene (gay and likes young white boys) Linford Christie (straight and a cheater) Justin Gatlin (straight) ... I can't remember the rest.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | June 22, 2021 11:55 AM |
Two more retired110m hurdlers just because they're handsome:
David Oliver - straight dad to multiple kids
Ryan Wilson - handsome. Know nothing about his private life.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | June 22, 2021 12:07 PM |
Funny you mention Jason Richardson. Was on his Twitter feed the other day and yes, definitely sus. If he was 20 it would be typical gen z woke. But for a 32 year old, a lot of headscratching for a straight black man. Lots of female divas.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | June 22, 2021 12:15 PM |

There must be something about hurdling: Retired Dominican gold medalist in the 400m hurdles Felix Sanchez could be bi, according to an old DL ghfdzc

I can tell you that Track & Field, Cycling and Wrestling have a very low incidence of gays.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | June 23, 2021 12:16 PM |

r72 that is funny because when I was in college I fucked four wrestlers.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | June 23, 2021 3:47 PM |
To the person who posted the video - your clues would indicate a diver. You also said it was pre prep so before 2012 but still in a time where a cell phone can take a decent video - so a pretty narrow window of 2000-2008, you also inidcated the person was 6'1 or 6'2 which is rare for a diver. Most are smaller men. That would eliminate the Chinese. So if I filter on divers 6 feet and over you get...nothing. Which means he probably was not 6'1 or 6'2 but close to six feet. Drilling down to divers in that range we have - David Boudia - born again out of time frame Tom Dailey - gay but post prep Mathew Mitchem - 5'9" no one mistaking him for over 6 feet Alexandre Despatie - 5'8 Ilya Zakharov 5'10 but Russian...
so - was the guy not a US winner? Or was he a medalist before 2000?
by Anonymous | reply 75 | June 23, 2021 4:32 PM |
Another suspicious hurdler is double Olympic Champion Felix Sanchez (400m H) of the Dominican Republic (but lives/lived in NYC.

Who are the actual out gays? There's not that many.

Tom Bosworth has been selected to represent Great Britain in the 20 km race walk.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | July 4, 2021 3:52 AM |
R100 That's not the problem on diving, gymnastics or ice skating. The problem are the juries, some of the people who are going to give them the scores came from less than gay friendly countries and most athletes fear lower scores that can cost them a medal or a good position.
Sponsors in these type of sports depend of a lot of things, specially the popularity and charisma of the athlete (even more than the results) and they are sports with a lot of gay fans, so coming out won't be a problem for sponsors

R60 and R77, he follows the best of Grindr website, so likely gay.
The equestrian competition is highly stacked with gays.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | July 6, 2021 12:46 PM |
^ Which site is that?
by Anonymous | reply 108 | July 6, 2021 1:47 PM |
R108, I think R107 meant that he follows Best of Grindr profile on Instagram. Seeing if someone follows it is typically a straightforward way of seeing if they are gay. Of course, most other *out* gay men will be subscribed to numerous fitness models and other instaclones, and will probably have rainbows in various posts. But BoG is the easiest for someone without all that. It used to be integral for me to contribute to the “Who Will Come Out…” thread series.
It used to be even easier to identify, because IG used to put mutual followings at the top when you viewed someone’s following page. But now they mix things in for some reason. So you have to either scroll through the follow page and hope you don’t miss it, or actually follow them for easier access. I guess they wanted to prevent this very thing.

Anton Down-Jenkins in Diving, individual 3m springboard
Tom Daley in Diving, individual 10 m platform and in the synchro 10m platform
Markus Thormeyer in swimming, 100 and 200m backstroke
Tom Bosworth in athletics, 20 km race walking

Wow, r131. That list is all lesbians apart from the odd diver and equestrian. But is it really far-fetched to imagine lesbians dominate sports the way gay men (even if closeted) dominate entertainment?
by Anonymous | reply 132 | July 14, 2021 6:15 AM |
^ It's also true that lesbians are less likely to be closeted because there isn't the hostility towards them in the sports world that there is towards gay men
by Anonymous | reply 133 | July 14, 2021 3:18 PM |
As someone mentioned above, men's sports environments tend to be very conservative and very stereotypical locker room shit - no matter what the sport.
Casual homophobia is the norm. I would have to think there's also some pressure to not be out if you want to maximize your endorsements. Things may be finally changing, but I would tend to think just marginally.
A lot of team members hang out with each other outside of practice - just how long can you do that as a gay man?
Women's sports environments seem to be more open and supportive and team-like. I could see how lesbians feel a better fit in that environment.
by Anonymous | reply 134 | July 14, 2021 3:26 PM |
Why do lesbians dominate sports like softball but not gymnastics or figure skating? Or they too manly for gymnastics and figure skating?
by Anonymous | reply 135 | July 14, 2021 4:35 PM |
R135 I think you just answered your own question.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | July 14, 2021 4:44 PM |
R131 Because society is more open minded towards lesbians. It's easier for them to come out. Also, lesbians are more masculine so they gravitate toward sports. And there is less money at stake in women's sports, so easier to come out.
by Anonymous | reply 137 | July 14, 2021 4:48 PM |
R131 It's easier for women to come out in general. Take for example tv shows. You have more lesbian characters on tv and in movies, unlike gay male characters. The lesbians get to kiss and have sex while the gay men get very little screen time and very few get to have sex, let alone kiss.

Gymnastics does not have a lot of gay athletes. Name them if they do?

Markus Thormeyer seems like a real sweetheart. I'm rooting for him.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | July 14, 2021 5:13 PM |
R137 That's not true.
R139 Wrong, there are few openly gay gymnasts but that's just for the same reason there are only a few openly gay divers. It's a sport where you need to score high, and the judges are a lot of times from homophobic countries.
On gymnastics it's quite easy to discuss your D score because it's based in something objective, but the execution score is a totally different thing and you could lose medals if there are several judges who are not keen to you just for being out
by Anonymous | reply 141 | July 14, 2021 5:24 PM |
R141 It absolutely is true.

Matty Lee called Tom his “lovely work husband” in a recent IG story and praised DLB’s book, which Matty is apparently reading. Although he is officially straight, I like to imagine (nightly) Matty’s curiosity getting the better of him. Although that would probably make their actual work relationship awkward. Maybe.

by Anonymous | reply 147 | July 16, 2021 9:45 AM |
R147 No, he is not retired. In fact he was in the news recently because he was fed up with receiving homophobic insults and he accused a rival who was fined after that.
And he was in a popular tv show recently helping the contestants.
I think he is not in the spanish team anymore but he is active (and probably the most popular waterpolo player here)

R151 That's sad. Water polo is the gayest team sport ever. If that sport isn't welcoming to gays, no sport is. And people wonder why so many lesbian athletes come out compared to gays... here is your answer.
by Anonymous | reply 154 | July 17, 2021 7:37 AM |
^ Actually, water polo is not considered gay at all. It's full of swaggering machos. I'd say the gayest team sport is probably volleyball - but only in America.

by Anonymous | reply 156 | July 17, 2021 2:28 PM |
r137 r138 you are fucking insane. How is it easier for a lesbian than a gay man. It is the same fucking experience. You are pushing your narrative on people you don't know. My bff in college is a lesbian, she played softball. The whole team was straight except for her. She was terrified of coming out due to her strict catholic mother. I was her beard for HS and most of college and she was mine. We were a couple to both our families. It just made it easier to live. When I wanted to come out to mine she begged me to wait, She was not ready. So no it is not easier for lesbians.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | July 17, 2021 4:06 PM |
And yet look at the number of WNBA players who are out. If it's so hard for them, why aren't they in the closet?
I'm not saying that prejudice towards lesbians doesn't exist at all in sports - it does. I know there was a women's basketball coach at Penn State who made anti-lesbian comments. But the reason why gay men find it so hard to come out in sports is macho culture and the insecurity of straight men who are freaked out that a gay guy might get a brief glimpse of their naked bodies.
by Anonymous | reply 158 | July 17, 2021 5:04 PM |
R157 In general i don't buy the it's easier for woman because it's not true, being a straight men sexual fantasy doesn't make things easier in rea life and they add the discrimination for being lesbian to the discrimination for being women.
But on sports is different, it's pretty clear they are more accepting, first because woman generally are way less insecure about themselves and have less problems accepting people who are different and second because there are a lot less money involved in most women's sports (specially on team sports).
A male gay athlete will face a lot of pressure to stay in the closet, if he is in an individual sport just for image or facing homophobia from peers and if he is in a team sport the pressure is even way higher because more people depend on him.
I think the number of gay pro athletes is considerably lower than in other professions because the whole enviroment tends to exclude them.
And we have some examples of athletes coming out and people are never satisfied, or they are not good enough, or not hot enough or not the right kind of gay. So the only reason to come out is really wanted it (or because you really needed it)
by Anonymous | reply 159 | July 17, 2021 6:23 PM |
Olympic gymnast Alec Yoder is not gay, but he sure knows how to satisfy his many gay fans in this Instagram post.
by Anonymous | reply 160 | July 17, 2021 8:49 PM |
Mens water polo is a gay sport in fantasy only. I've always heard it's loaded with macho lunkheads, but I'm happy to watch them try to drown each other, er, put the ball in the net. Their physiques are pretty much perfect (and many don't shave their bodies, so, bonus!).
by Anonymous | reply 161 | July 17, 2021 8:54 PM |
Of course it's a very macho sport. That's the problem with all team sports.
Of course being a macho sport and being an homophobic enviroment are different things, rugby is a way more macho sport than soccer but way more open to gay players too

Does anyone actually care about this Olympics?
by Anonymous | reply 208 | July 26, 2021 2:13 AM |
R208: I’m not sure why as I usually follow it and love watching but I haven’t bothered to watch anything yet and don’t really care. Something about no spectators puts me off. Also, I might be wrong but I think a lot of athletes didn’t go or couldn’t go so it feels a bit like a half-arsed competition where getting a medal won’t mean quite the same as past Olympics when every top athlete in each sport was there, like a lot of the tennis grand slams of the last 18 months.
by Anonymous | reply 209 | July 26, 2021 2:26 AM |
I think that every athlete who wins a medal will consider it precious, as they should - a reward for hard work and dedication, especially in the sports where they compete for love and not the money. This is why I couldn't care less about basketball, tennis, etc, where the pros of the world, who have their own prestigious championships and paydays, deign to grace the Olympics. Kudos to the amateurs! Win those medals and be proud.

The hell with all the hugging in US mens volleyball? I guess I'm not really complaining -- there's some nice eye candy there -- but it really slows down the game. Huddle up quick to talk tactics then get back to business. (The ROC team seemed far less huggy -- and attractive.) I also have to laugh at all the hugging in mens gymnastics. Well, faux hugging -- complete your routine, head to sideline and hug your teammates as fast as possible with as little actual touching as possible.

R225 Read the OP. I don't give a fuck about dykes as most dykes are manly and naturally attracted to sports. Hence why there are so many lesbians in the Olympics. They are a dime a dozen. Nothing special. Lesbians are also more accepted than gay men in society, so it's easier for them to come out. Last but not least nobody gives a shit about women's sports. There is much less money involved, which also makes it easier for them to come out. Again: read the goddamn OP. This is a site for GAY MEN. Nobody gives a shit about dykes. I will block you now. You ruined this thread.
by Anonymous | reply 226 | July 28, 2021 5:32 AM |
R226 I'm tired of this bullshit, it's a blatant lie that lesbians are more accepted than gays in society, it's simply not true.
But they are more accepted on sports
by Anonymous | reply 227 | July 28, 2021 1:39 PM |
R227 Maybe not accepted but there is some truth to the fact that society often doesn't see lesbians as real women and gay men as real men . Most sports have a masculine branding so having lesbians in sport fits a stereotype, especially in certain sports, while is doesn't work like that with gay men . And then people expect gay men in more artistic sports like Figure skating .
by Anonymous | reply 228 | July 28, 2021 2:29 PM |
Society finds lesbians less threatening and more palatable
by Anonymous | reply 229 | July 28, 2021 4:10 PM |
R229 That's not true. Lesbians suffer more discrimination.
Lesbians only are palatable as a straight male fantasy and most lesbians doesn't fit that mold.
And there's a reason beyond stereotypes why they are more accepted in sports and it's that simple as there are less money in female sports (not all but almost), the more professional the enviroment the more pressure to fit the mold.
And i'm talking beyond homosexuality, a soccer player who dates an average women (someone who doesn't look like a model) will probably face insults and mockery online (unless he doesn't fit the mold of superstar). They are forgiven of everything except not fitting the fantasies of some fans
by Anonymous | reply 230 | July 28, 2021 5:39 PM |
Lesbians don't suffer more discrimination - there are countries that banned male homosexuality but not lesbian sex....I can't think of a country that singled out lesbian acts while allowing male homosexuality to be legal.
That's not to say that lesbians suffer no discrimination or have it easy. They don't. But most politicians are straight men and they are more threatened by gay men than lesbians

by Anonymous | reply 260 | July 29, 2021 2:48 PM |
R260, not does he live in a country where evangelicals threaten to stone him
by Anonymous | reply 261 | July 29, 2021 4:25 PM |
Or burn him to death

Neither does the German diver who waffles around with claimes of being into humans .
by Anonymous | reply 263 | July 29, 2021 4:55 PM |
R247 Are you really that idiot? This happened last olympics and the genius journalist that did it had to apologize.
First, outing is not cool, second the chances are that at least a couple of these athletes are from countries where homosexuality is forbidden and just wanted to enjoy some freedom now that they can
by Anonymous | reply 264 | July 29, 2021 7:27 PM |
R264, you don't know where they're from. You just want to be a hysterical idiot and defend the closet
by Anonymous | reply 265 | July 29, 2021 7:35 PM |
R265 You are simply too dumb to function.
If you are so worried with closeted you can out some polititians
Maybe if you live your life you wouldn't be so worried about who some olympic athletes are fucking
by Anonymous | reply 266 | July 29, 2021 7:45 PM |
R266, you're the one who is acting like a hysterical Mary by pretending anyone who is outed will immediately be murdered.
by Anonymous | reply 267 | July 29, 2021 8:12 PM |
again , could please we go back to gays in the Olympics
by Anonymous | reply 268 | July 29, 2021 8:20 PM |
Mike Hixon seems like fam, too, R256. Or perhaps I just want him to be. Good on him for working toward an MBA. I always wonder what athletes DO when their sports careers are over. They can't ALL go into coaching or broadcasting or giving inspirational speeches at corporate retreats.
by Anonymous | reply 269 | July 29, 2021 8:24 PM |
R269 I think it depends on the sport and the athlete . Is the sport at least remotely popular enough to make it into a live broadcast and was the athlete reasonably successful, popular and has a personality then it's probably going to be a commentator job .
by Anonymous | reply 270 | July 29, 2021 8:38 PM |
R34 And Ari-Pekka Liukkonen is 6'10". As a 5'4" shorty...the extreme height difference between us fascinates me.

R258 Thanks for posting that. I didn't realise that he had his own thread.
He's very easy to find on Grindr in the OLV.

ps. He was. He's gone now.
by Anonymous | reply 282 | August 4, 2021 8:42 AM |
Capobianco really fucking blew it in the finals. Two of his six dives were amateur hour.
He's the biggest embarrassment of this Olympics - not Simone Biles.

Does TJ DeFalco of the US mens volleyball team need a hug after their ouster the other day? Because I have arms. (I have no idea if he's gay or straight, but the view is awfully nice.)

Frankly i don't know what he expected because everthing about the story sounded homophobic

(R289) yea he deleted if that came out. You could only get get summary of it. Maybe if someone is really good they can find it since nothing ever leaves the internet, but it’s hard to find.

Spanish 50 km walk Marc Tur, he was probably out before but he was not a known athlete, that change after being fourth in the race. He is only the second out athlete representing Spain in all history of the games

Did I miss it or has the Olympic swimmer in R41's post not been named yet?
by Anonymous | reply 296 | August 14, 2021 11:27 PM |
R41/R119, if the guy is an American I think I've figured out who it is. Since you're not going to name him, I won't either. He was pretty cute when he was younger and sounded sexy in your video. Good on ya, mate! If you're not going to name him you can at least tell us how you met.
by Anonymous | reply 297 | August 15, 2021 2:34 AM |
Why is the swimmer at R41 not shaved for competition?
by Anonymous | reply 298 | August 15, 2021 2:39 AM |
R41 R119 I think I've figured out who it is too.

R294 Seems like Outsports doesn't speak Spanish . Or they're pissed he didn't give them the exclusive .
by Anonymous | reply 300 | August 15, 2021 12:55 PM |
R300 Well, it's all over the press in Spain. He made a surprsing good career and a dissapointing final ending fourth, and he is a doctor which makes a good story.
The truth is he was out before the Olympics but he was practically unknown

r287 So which sport do we reckon has the highest proportion of gay male olympians participating?

r298 r299 Who is it please or at least a cryptic clue or hint detail like nationality or year they were in the Olympics?

If it is US - Nathan Adrian? Anthony Earvin?
by Anonymous | reply 304 | August 15, 2021 5:05 PM |
r304 I'm not sure depends how to correctly interpret the criteria r41 r119 laid out.
I am taking it to mean this swimmer has won lots of gold but only one Olympic gold. If that is right then it can't be those two because they either won more than one gold and or they didn't win two more Olympic medals(non gold) at the same olympics as they won the gold. I am also wondering if the word polite is a clue or play on words.
by Anonymous | reply 305 | August 15, 2021 5:42 PM |
Very true r305. Based on the many medals but one gold it could be Chase Kalisz but he doesn’t give me the vibe.
Polite….. now you’ve really got me thinking. I am intrigued!!
by Anonymous | reply 306 | August 15, 2021 8:14 PM |
French swimmer Jeremy Stravius is openly gay but he doesn't fit the parameters. He won a gold medal and a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics, not a gold and two other medals.
by Anonymous | reply 307 | August 15, 2021 8:22 PM |
r306 Whoever posted the video mentioned it was pre prep medication but clearly the era of mobile phone videoing.
However he doesn't say if they had sex when they were an olympian or after. Eg someone who got a gold medal in Olympic swimming in 1996 or 1992 say but had sex with the poster between 2000 and 2008 ?
by Anonymous | reply 308 | August 15, 2021 9:58 PM |
I take it to mean that the top in question won at least one gold medal and two other medals of different colors at one Olympic competition. Here are the swimmers who fit that filter from 1988 to 2012:
1988:
Matt Biondi (USA)
1992:
Alexander Popov (Unified Team - Russia)
1996:
Alexander Popov (RUS) Gary Hall Jr. (USA)
2000:
Ian Thorpe (AUS) Gary Hall Jr (USA) Pieter van den Hoogenband (NED)
2004: Michael Phelps Ian Thorpe (AUS)
2008: Phelps Ryan Lochte
2012: Phelps Lochte
by Anonymous | reply 309 | August 15, 2021 11:47 PM |
This list in R309 are swimmers who won at least 2 gold medals and 2 other medals of different colors in one games. Will compile the list of those who won only 1 gold medals but two other medals in one games.
by Anonymous | reply 310 | August 15, 2021 11:54 PM |
Two others to add to R309 is Michael Klim (AUS) in 2000.
by Anonymous | reply 311 | August 16, 2021 12:02 AM |
And Nathan Adrian in 2016.
by Anonymous | reply 312 | August 16, 2021 12:15 AM |
r309 r310 Thank you
apart from Ian Thorpe who iss openly gay now are any of the others rumored to be gay?
by Anonymous | reply 313 | August 16, 2021 1:42 AM |
Only Nathan Adrian had rumours but he is now married with a baby. So perhaps not.
None of the others seem likely. Drop us another hint so we can research it!!

r321 Indeed! Any idea who the olympic gold medalist swimmer is in r41 video and described with clues in r119 ?
by Anonymous | reply 322 | August 18, 2021 3:54 AM |
R322, R41 already said he wasn't going to tell us who it is. So even if we guessed right, we wouldn't get confirmation.
by Anonymous | reply 323 | August 18, 2021 4:01 AM |
The guy in R41 could be Ian Thorpe. In pictures of Thorpe online, taken when his chest was not shaved, he has a chest hair pattern that looks similar to that on the guy in the video.
by Anonymous | reply 324 | August 18, 2021 4:10 AM |
In particular, down the center of his torso between his abs and around his belly button. Look at the video in R41 and the picture below.
