Gible community day! Finally! I've been waiting forever. This CD is long overdue. I feel like every CD this year has been a disappointment. This is a welcome change.

Community Day today! Too bad it's Swablu...

Didn't really bother with Swablu community day. Did the paid for challenge and hatched loads of eggs and made sure I didn't spin any stops to replenish with 2k Swablu eggs.

Caught one shiny. on main account and two on my alt.

Triple XP continues until Monday, May 17, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time - so another 48 hours to get as many excellent throws as possible.

What is community day? I am considering getting back into the game.

Community day takes place once a month, on a Saturday or Sunday, between 11am and 5pm. One specific Pokemon spawns everywhere and you can do special tasks to catch as many as possible and evolve them and power them up.

May's community day Pokemon was Swablu and June's is Gible.

I caught a 98 % Tyranitar in a raid today.

I haven't evolved to Syvleon yet nor Jolteon,Glaceon and Flareon because most of the Eevees I have seen were terrible IV wise.

I feel you R14. Same reason why I held off evolving Froakie and Chespin.

I have a 0 star shiny Eevee I caught at a McDonalds drive through which I'll buddy up with and turn into Sylveon.

There were loads of 3 stars eevees available through the research tasks. The "take a photo of a fairy pokemon" was the easiest challenge every.

I cannot find a 3-star Fennekin. I have hundreds of Fennekin candies but nothing decent to evolve! Bummer.

Yes to that r20. I got caught by the weak connection carp a couple times last week. Causing me to loss matches.

Shiny Gible is also spawning. I managed to catch one.

I only played 3 hours today. CD is 6 hours, but I had other stuff to do. Anyways, I caught 9 shinies and I think I got 3 with an IV above 90 % so I evolved those.

I caught 2 shinies but they both had terrible IVs but did manage to evolve a preexisting good IV Gible I had.

When I said that I got 3 Gible with an IV above 90 % I meant out of total Gible caught. I only caught 9 shinies and out of those I got one with 3 stars, it had an IV of 82 %.

Slowpoke event starts today at 10 am. I caught my only missing Regi today in a raid. Yay! How about you? Do you have all the Regi versions?

Caught a shiny slowpoke in the wild today!

I had a shiny Slowpoke too and I wasn’t sure which to evolve it into Slowbro or Slowking. I went for slowking and bad choice cause the Slowbro shiny is waaaaay nicer which I only found out after the fact. So now I need to find another shiny slowpoke.

Has anyone caught a Galarian slowpoke yet?

R31 I don't think it's available in the wild, only in 1 star raids and field research.

So I got a Galarian slowpoke! At a gym outside a police station, during which about 40 uniformed officers came out and stood with their heads bowed as a funeral cortege drove past and I'm there tapping away as DCI Jane Tennison.

I caught a Galarian Slowpoke. Supposedly the only way to evolve Galarian Slowpoke is you have to make it your buddy Pokemon and then catch 30 poison type Pokemon.

That's right - it's like buddying with FarFetch'd and making 10 excellent throws or buddying with Swirlix and feeding it 25 berries. Thankfully there's lots of Betty Guplins, Oddish, Grimers and Weedles around to catch.

The evolved form is very disappointing.

My main issue right now r35 is that I don't want to switch buddy Pokemon right now because the one I currently have is close to having enough candies for me to evolve them.

Abra spotlight hour today

I traded some dud Abra with my other account in the hope of going lucky and getting good 3 star IV. Got lucky and then remembered you don’t need candy to evolve with a traded Abra. So it was double bonus !

Can they try to do something about the weak connection.

My account was hacked - Niantic would do nothing about it. Some one in Amsterdam. They renamed my character and then deleted every single one of my Pokemon, all stuff - everything. They wasted all my stardust evolving things then deleting them...I am so heart broken. I had every legendary, shinies, every pinkachu

also looks like the game is removing the distance bonus for interacting with gyms and stops as well as removing the effectiveness of incense while not walking. That makes playing at home a lot harder.

Tepig community day. I evolved a preexisting Tepig all the way up to Embor and caught a shiny Tepig.

I got a four star Tepig and a shiny 3 star. I am happy.

I caught a 2 star shiny Tepig that I evolved.

I don’t play this game, but I enjoyed the Pokémon TV show as a kid for several years, along with Yugi, Digimon, and my favorite show in the genre Monster Rancher lol.

I finally hatched a 3-star Fennekin worth evolving.

I had a dream that I caught a perfect shiny Bidoof and legitimately looked in my Pokedex for it the next day.

I moved a few blocks from where I was originally (still surrounded by synagogues) but no one is doing raids here as frequently. It took me over a week to find a decently attended Deoxys raid to use a remote pass on. Send those raid invites my way, please!

Have you downloaded the PokeRaid app? It's generally very good for linking you up with people who want to join a raid remotely or someone hosting a raid you can join remotely from somewhere around the world.

I got two 4 star Pokemon from the birthday challenge research tasks. A charmander and a chikorita.

Are you trying to catch a Spinda with the 5 great curveballs in a row challenge?

If so then the best thing to do is only try and catch the Pokemon with the wide circles. In some cases it's harder NOT to make a great curveball throw than it is to make one. Ponyta, Girrafig, Snover and Slowpoke are good for this.

There's also a trick about putting your phone onto airplane mode after you've tapped on the pokemon to catch but before you throw the ball. If the ball lands the throw you want then turn airplane mode off. If the catch doesn't land and breaks the sequence restart the game and try again.

Like Roxane Gay I'm literally exhausted. Made good use of the 5x XP hour and used a lucky egg and caught lots of Absol with excellent throws.

I finished the challenge and got the Meloetta and have adopted the new pose and look camper than ever.

PokeRaid is good but you have to check in every day to earn "coins" to join raids. It doesn't cost anything to host them.

If you host a raid it opens up a room which 5 (or more) other people can join - they add you as a buddies and you invite them. There are automated options to click to say the raid will start etc.

Poke Genie is good for joining raids but I find there's a longer time to wait to join a raid on that.

The biggest players in Pokemon Go have called out Niantic for removing the distance and other pandemic bonuses. According to them Niantic response was basically we'll check back in month and then maybe make a decision.

Caught a shiny Palkia during raid hour yesterday.

R70 Join facebook raid groups in your area. You need to plan a legendary raid, you have to get other people to join. Waiting in the lobby for other players is usually pointless since it never happens, maybe except during raid hour.

They brought it back r81 after the backlash it caused and a number Pokemon Go's well known players like Reversal, Holly, Ali A, Mystic7, Trainertps, ZoëTwoDots and others got involved and threatened to possibly boycott the game.

I missed Carvanha and Hoopa.

I got Hoopa but missed Spoink and the giraffe

I completed it, but I needed incense. Also, I got my hoopa from completing the second phase of research.

Despite using an incense and not getting either Hoopa or Carvanha. I did end up catching a terrible Ditto who was disguised as a psychic type Pokemon.

I actually had plans today and couldn't complete the challenge but I did manage to catch a weak 3-star Hoopa from the field research tasks. Pokedex filler it is.

Caught a wild Inkay this morning before I started the latest task challenge. Inkay is also available in photo bombs so get snapping. To evolve you have to turn your phone upside down...

Finally got Hoopa and caught a terrible Jynx with the last research challenge.

R89, some of the call boxes are still functional but I don't know if the gilded one near me featured in a lot of my gifts is. I believe Hurricane Sandy's flooding disabled a lot of boxes though but they provide a valuable service in those instances when wifi/internet is disrupted (just like when Sandy hit and no one had cell service for days after).

The community day pokemon for October isn't actually that bad. It's Duskull. It ties in nicely with Halloween and I want my ghost badge.

Caught a shiny Oshawott during community day.

R95 I think I caught 5 or 6 shinies. Not that many but didn't play for very long. Disapppointed I got ZERO Oshawotts with an IV above 90 % though. Think I caught a couple with 87 %. I usually only save the 90 % or above ones, but this time (a first I think) I caught zero :(

Furfrou is now out.

R96 I already had decent Oshawott and just evolved that one once I got enough candies.

There are 6 different Furfraus you can change the style to, depending on your region. There's US, Europe & Africa, Asia and Australasia, France, Egypt and Japan.

Drifloon spotlight hour tonight! Not the best pokemon but I just want to get my ghost badge.

I won't bother with Drifloon but will put a lucky egg on to get the Friendship bonuses I've been saving up and evolve loads of caterpie and wurmples for 4k a pop!

R102 Literally got 500k points today because of friendship bonus while using a lucky egg. Still lack 7 million points to advance from level 44 to 45 though... lol. Anyways, I finally caught Zarude. Yay! Looking forward to community day this Saturday too. I need my ghost badge.

Caught several hundred Duskull. Only played for three hours because I only had one incense. I think I caught three Duskull with an IV above 90 % so I evolved those. I caught 16 shiny Duskull. I still lack 700 ghost types before I get my ghost badge.

R108 It did look promising, but the ghost spawns are SO bad. I think I caught like 10 ghost pokemon in 7 days. Ugh. Meanwhile in other events the spawned pokemon are everywhere. It feels like we've been cheated yet again.

R111 supposedly there's supposed to a switch over from increased 🔮 psychic types to increased 👻 types happening.

Also because there was a glitch happening with evolving Galarian Slowpoke until they finally fixed. They added that new challenge so players get a free Galarian Slowpoke and enough candy for evolution although you still have to adventure with you Slowpoke.

November 1st is Battle League day - you get 20 rounds of 5 per day instead of 6 - you get stardust for playing even if you lose so worth putting your weakest Pokemon in the game just to clock up the stardust.

I'm up to level 20 and the next level is not based on a set number of wins but a score - you can only progress by repeatedly winning 4 or 5 battles in each round. At that level pretty much impossible! I have caught a lot of Darkrai for getting 3 wins.

And for players who are Level 40+, save any special Pokemon to transfer on Community Day on 21st November.

Has anyone completed the Pumpkaboo challenge?

The Pumpkaboo was quite easy - it helped that the different sizes came up as shadows until they were all caught.

I didn't complete it because only 2 sizes kept showing up for and mostly it was the smallest size.

I saw 1 other size once besides what I mentioned r120 but it was gone by the time I got to where it was located.

Hurrah, I got up to level 47! That's 100 million XP I've earned so far. Now to get to Level 50 I have to earn another 76 million! I am consumed with pure and utter joy!

I got bored yesterday in the battle league and ended up putting my weakest into battle just to get the stardust. But today I've won 3 Darkrais, a Mienfoo and a Drifblim.

Nope. Level 46 and done it all manually. No spoofing, no auto catching/stop spinning attachment.

Thank god for the special Sableye spotlight hour today. I managed to catch 30 ghost and dark pokemon. No way in hell that would have happened without the spotlight pokemon. I have earned 2 candies walking with my buddy. 1 more candy and I have completed the 11th stage of the special research. I need to complete the 16 stages before December 1st to get the next special research.

🐉 event is happening in order to get Druddigon. In order to catch Druddigon you have to either beat it in a raid or complete the capture certain Pokemon quest.

R101 R102 What are you talking about? Drifblim is quite good in the super & ultra leagues, and the high HP makes him a perfect gym defender.

I'm not sure if I will get a Druddigon because no Dragonair seems to want to appear despite using an incense.

Sandshrew community day with 2 different moves depending on which Sandshrew you evolve.

Team Rocket is back along with Giovanni. Salandit and it's female only evolution Salazzle are making their debut. Completing all research tasks will reward you with a super rocket radar to challenge Giovanni who this time will have a shadow Latoias.

There will be 2 community days this month. Normal community day with Stufful and classic community day with Mudkip.

R150 I played for 3 hours. I was very disappointed with the pokemons I caught. After probably catching several hundred I got ONE shiny and ONE with an IV above 80 %. In other words: two Stuffuls worth saving from the hundreds I caught. Fml.

Another shitty pokemon for May community day. I will not be playing. I don't give a shit about fucking geodude.
