The sonic near my house went out of business about three months ago. When it opened about 7 years ago, there was a loooooong line to get in. There was the drive-in area, the interior seating (they called it the porch), and the drive-thru. Most people used the drive-thru. It didn’t take long for the hype to die down, they had little business after about 5 months. I would always drive by it and nobody was ever in the drive-in or the interior. I was a mystery shopper and the mystery shop company I worked for had assignments for Sonic. I always made sure I gave the employees good evaluations because they were always nice. My food evaluations were usually mediocre.
