Mighty Joe Biden is Running for President Again in 2024

Before you know it DL, we’ll be back on the road to 270.

Glad Trump is gone, but 81 is too old.

by Anonymousreply 1March 27, 2021 3:55 PM

I think 81 is old, too, but I don’t see what other answer Biden could give without there being controversy.

by Anonymousreply 2March 27, 2021 3:57 PM

We need someone under 55 as President.

by Anonymousreply 3March 27, 2021 4:03 PM

“Oh he’s just so old. He’s too old!”

😂 This is exactly like the first posts in my thread from 2018.

I can’t believe we have midterms next year ugh. It’s exhausting.

by Anonymousreply 5March 27, 2021 4:11 PM

Good. Let Joe run again. For right now, he's the best option.

by Anonymousreply 6March 27, 2021 4:14 PM

[QUOTE] I can’t believe we have midterms next year ugh. It’s exhausting.

It’s not so exhausting when you’re on the winning side, R5. Joe will lead us to victory in the midterms and then cruise to re-election two years later.

He had no other choice than to say he'll run again. Who the fuck asks that question after less then 3 months in to a four year term anyway? It was a stupid question by the press; as stupid as asking if Harris would again be his running mate.

Imagine if he had said no? All hell would have broken loose and he would then become a lame duck President.

It was the right answer. Whether or not he was telling the truth is anyone's guess.

by Anonymousreply 9March 27, 2021 4:46 PM

It's only been a couple of months since the start of this Administration and the beltway media is ALREADY talking about 2024.

It's like the media are hyperactive children, never satisfied. I'll be mommy in the tub with a glass of wine, the door locked, and something loud on the ipod to ignore the children.

by Anonymousreply 10March 27, 2021 4:46 PM

It’s not just the media. It’s the nature of politics in general. Trump registered his re-election campaign the day he became president so he could start raising money for it. The hustle never stops.

The Reason Joe Biden is So Popular

by Anonymousreply 12March 29, 2021 4:12 PM

[QUOTE] President Joe Biden has kept his public focus on combating the pandemic and passing his infrastructure plan. But privately the president’s political operation has started preparing for 2024, including the Democratic party’s main committee.

[QUOTE]The Democratic National Committee has quietly assembled a core team that is focused not just on the 2022 midterms but on the next presidential cycle and the expected Biden re-elect, according to Democratic officials in and outside the DNC.

[QUOTE]Weeks after the inauguration, the committee’s research team, led by Nick Bauer, started gathering “oppo” on over 20 Republican politicians and has identified 49 GOPers who could run.

81 is not too old. Remember, you’re only as old as you look.

by Anonymousreply 14May 4, 2021 10:46 PM

Trump accomplished lowest unemployment in 50 years, lowest minority unemployment in history, tax cuts for the middle class, increase in wages, USMA, trade deals, Middle East peace deals, increased military strength, no wars, Space Force, reduced the danger of conflict with North Korea, China tariffs, secured the border, 400 miles of new border wall, decreased illegal immigration, no domestic terror attacks, low gas prices, energy independence, lowered America’s greenhouse gas emissions while growing the US economy, brought back manufacturing, Three Supreme Court appointments, hundreds of federal judge appointments, championed the 1st and 2nd Amendments and delivered COVID 19 vaccine in record time, and that’s just a partial list. Suck on that China Joe!

by Anonymousreply 15May 4, 2021 10:53 PM

Then I hope he keeps taking vitamins and supplements for memory! He’s gonna need them to run a country at the ages of 82-86.

by Anonymousreply 16May 4, 2021 10:53 PM

He should run and he must serve a second term. He's doing better than younger Clinton or Obama and he is only three months in.

So obviously age is not the issue. It's the quality of his work. He will go down as one of the greatest presidents - to my surprise I might add, as he was not the candidate I supported.

by Anonymousreply 17May 4, 2021 10:56 PM

Go Joe! I hope he can run again. He’s great for America and a genuinely nice person.

by Anonymousreply 18May 4, 2021 10:58 PM

Funny how Making America Great Again required getting rid of the idiot former guy. Lol

by Anonymousreply 19May 4, 2021 10:58 PM

When SNL does a🤣 Biden, they must have him wear a blue Made America Great Again cap.

by Anonymousreply 20May 4, 2021 11:06 PM

R15 had to stop bathing his pet unicorn to post all that.

Get back to your unicorn now, defacturd.

by Anonymousreply 21May 4, 2021 11:11 PM

I’m barely recovered from the last one — sheesh,

Anyway, I hope he does! He kicking all sorts of ass so far. Clearly, age hasn’t been an issue for him up to this point.

by Anonymousreply 22May 4, 2021 11:47 PM

Youth is overrated.

by Anonymousreply 23May 5, 2021 2:37 AM

Youth is wasted on the young.

by Anonymousreply 24May 5, 2021 11:09 AM

New report saying Biden is indeed running again. He believes Trump will get the 2024 GOP nomination, making Mighty Joe once again the candidate best equipped to defeat him.

Can someone who is American explain to me why the presidents keep getting older and older. When you look at Europe you see much younger heads of state who can relate more to modern day issues than their elder counterparts.

by Anonymousreply 26June 9, 2021 2:08 AM

More modern day issues like what, R26?

by Anonymousreply 27June 9, 2021 2:11 AM

As soon as a leader says they are not running for re-election, their power starts ebbing away. Even if Biden has no intention of running, he would be a fool to say so.

On the other hand, if he does run and wins re-election, Biden will cement his legacy as one of the most remarkable figures ever to have held office. He may well go down in history as the man who rescued American democracy.

by Anonymousreply 28June 9, 2021 2:17 AM

81 is the new 41!

by Anonymousreply 29June 9, 2021 2:23 AM

Biden could be 200 years old, I'll still vote for him over any Republican. What the Republican Party has turned into is absolutely appalling.

by Anonymousreply 30June 9, 2021 2:25 AM

[quote]More modern day issues like what, [R26]?

Oh I don't know like fucking EVERYTHING.

by Anonymousreply 31June 9, 2021 2:27 AM

Joe seems to be doing extremely well handling “modern day issues.”

by Anonymousreply 32June 9, 2021 2:43 AM

[quote]Joe seems to be doing extremely well handling “modern day issues.”

“I mean, you’ve got the first sort of mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean,” Biden said of then-Sen. Barack Obama as both campaigned ahead of the 2008 primaries. “That’s a storybook, man.”

by Anonymousreply 33June 9, 2021 2:46 AM

[quote]Joe seems to be doing extremely well handling “modern day issues.”

“We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor you can not do it,” Biden went on. “Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

I like Biden and I'll vote for him again, but yes he is a bit of a fossil.

by Anonymousreply 34June 9, 2021 2:47 AM

What’s wrong with what he said there, R33?

by Anonymousreply 35June 9, 2021 2:49 AM

REALLY r35?

by Anonymousreply 36June 9, 2021 2:51 AM

Yeah, really. All he did was say what a lot of people were thinking. When did an African-American candidate with as much polish as Barack Obama come close to getting the Dem nomination?

by Anonymousreply 37June 9, 2021 2:57 AM

He'll be dead by 2024 or in a nursing home.

by Anonymousreply 38June 9, 2021 3:06 AM

r37 he said Obama was clean, well spoken and intelligent. He wasn't like those other blacks, who can't speak proper English, are stupid, ignorant and dirty. That's not what he actually meant, but that's how that comment reads. I don't think Biden is racist, but he's from another era and has all the hallmarks of someone from his time. My uncles are all like that too. They say things that can be wildly misconstrued because they just don't get it.

by Anonymousreply 39June 9, 2021 3:09 AM

There’s people in their 20’s and 30’s who are prone to say such things, R39. I know white people in their 30’s and 40’s who still refer to Black people as “colored.” They don’t mean it offensively, that’s just who they are. Where they come from.

Also Hillary Clinton is around Joe Biden’s age, R39, and she’d never be caught saying such a thing. Because she’s the consummate politician. So it isn’t necessarily reflective of his age. That’s just how Joe Biden is. He was the same way when he was 40, and if he was 40 years old today he wouldn’t be much different.

by Anonymousreply 40June 9, 2021 3:21 AM

r40 That's incredibly ignorant.

by Anonymousreply 41June 9, 2021 3:43 AM

by Anonymousreply 44June 9, 2021 5:19 AM

Really, R44 what kind of shoe? A heal or a pump?

by Anonymousreply 45June 9, 2021 5:38 AM

Oh dear R45, heel thyself!

by Anonymousreply 46June 9, 2021 5:45 AM

[QUOTE] Just let Kamala run. I know some asshole republicans who like her better than Biden. She'd be a shoe in.

Give me a break. The main reason Joe feels any inclination to run again is cause he knows how disastrous Kamala would be as the 2024 Dem nominee.

by Anonymousreply 47June 9, 2021 12:50 PM

R47 exactly. Kamala is scary. She's like black voodoo.

by Anonymousreply 48June 9, 2021 1:35 PM

I don’t know about all that, but she wouldn’t be very good as a Presidential candidate.

by Anonymousreply 49June 9, 2021 1:51 PM

Gina Raimondo... mark my words ...

by Anonymousreply 50June 9, 2021 1:54 PM

Nancy Pelosi is going to come out of nowhere and take the crown.

by Anonymousreply 51June 9, 2021 2:05 PM

Well, according to former Louisiana governor Edwards, you’re only as old as the woman you feel…

A master of the quip, when asked about his impending wedding night to a woman over 50 years his junior ( him in his 80’s, she in her 30’s) and whether he had any health concerns, he replied “if she dies, she dies”…

by Anonymousreply 68November 27, 2021 6:30 PM

I don't know for sure, but I suspect Michelle Obama is a name that suggestion as a fantasy largely by nostalgic white liberals. I am completely certain that Harris as the nominee would be lucky to do as well as Clinton, likely to lose Virginia to start with.

by Anonymousreply 69November 27, 2021 6:34 PM

White wokes want them. I’m not a white woke.

by Anonymousreply 70November 27, 2021 6:35 PM

Biden will run, be nominated, and win. Might be tighter (Electoral College-wise) than last time, but that's fairly typical for re-elects since 2000.

by Anonymousreply 71November 27, 2021 6:44 PM

[quote]Good. Let Joe run again. For right now, he's the best option.

I agree, he's doing a good job and he's making some bold and gutsy decisions that will benefit the US and the Western World for decades to come. I really like that about him. He will go down in history as one of the great presidents.

by Anonymousreply 72November 27, 2021 7:30 PM

That CNN puff piece in r12 is hilarious but totally illustrative of the media in the first half of the year.

by Anonymousreply 77January 22, 2022 7:19 PM

[quote]I don't know for sure, but I suspect Michelle Obama is a name that suggestion as a fantasy largely by nostalgic white liberals.

We've got to get away from this star most popular girl in class politics. It's the presidency of the United States, which is currently presiding over a country teetering on the edge and will likely do so for some time.

by Anonymousreply 78January 22, 2022 7:24 PM

Kamala Harris will become president when Joe croaks, if not this term, then the second term (yes, Joe Biden will win the election if he is alive and runs again).

Other than that, I don't see a woman (whoever she might be, and definitely not Michelle Obama) winning the 2024 election - that is, I see it if and only if e.g. Joe dies the day before the election, or something like that, with Kamala as his vice president on the ticket. Only an extreme circumstance like that could actually make people go out and elect Harris in 2024, I think, with somebody else stepping in to join her on the ticket as her vice president the night before the election (tickets would still have Biden's name printed on them the day of the election, though, as there would be no time to change that).

Now, 2028 is a whole different ball game. Maybe a woman can run for president then and actually win.

Let's get through 2024 first.

by Anonymousreply 79January 22, 2022 7:43 PM

Joe Biden probably has a stronger heart than you, R79. If you both took a standard stress test in a doctor’s office, he’d probably outperform you. He’s not dying anytime soon.

by Anonymousreply 80January 22, 2022 7:47 PM

Hi, R80, I'm an athlete, and significantly younger, so I doubt it.

I do hope Biden lives to be 100 or more (him staying strong, running in 2024 and finishing his second term would be ideal - and then also staying around at least a while longer, too).

by Anonymousreply 81January 22, 2022 8:15 PM

Joe should dump Kamala and nominate Pete. Then in 2024, Pete will be primed to win!

by Anonymousreply 82January 22, 2022 9:01 PM

Mighty Joe Young

by Anonymousreply 83January 22, 2022 9:03 PM

Better not, R82, just because I'm afraid that if anything is changed, we might lose votes. I just want Biden to win again, I don't care who the vice president is. If keeping Kamala will keep votes, then keep her. I'm afraid of losing the black vote, women's votes, etc.

Good for Biden. I like him. THe smile is a little bit creepy sometimes, but he isn't an embarrassin horny jackass like Bill Clinton turned out to be. I voted for Clinton, btw, so don't attack me for noticing his faults. Biden isn't ineffectual like Carter. He's a dent man and politician.
