I've been waiting a long time.

When is Phillip Mena going to be promoted to cable television's first nude anchor?
I've been waiting a long time.
|by Anonymous||reply 573||05/23/2021|
Phillip lounging at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel pool.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||03/04/2021|
Did anyone cover the QAnon Inauguration gathering at the Capitol??
I'd love to see Chris or Rachel mock those losers.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||03/04/2021|
Ben Collins has huge eyes
|by Anonymous||reply 3||03/04/2021|
What's wrong with the "MSNBC - Part 22" thread?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||03/04/2021|
It's paywalled, R4.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||03/04/2021|
loved Rachel reading the hearing transcript of that idiot rioter who sat in Pelosi's office and is now whining he's still in jail. Her mocking tone was hilarious
|by Anonymous||reply 6||03/04/2021|
This crybaby, R6?
|by Anonymous||reply 7||03/04/2021|
I want to feel Chris Hayes' massive muscles all over me.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||03/04/2021|
R7 yes that piece of shit
|by Anonymous||reply 9||03/04/2021|
Would someone go back y=to the 22 thread, it's been paywalled, and post a link to here?
They need to kill the last13 or so posts.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||03/05/2021|
It has to be a paying member, R10.
The rest of us can't get back in there.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||03/05/2021|
r11, why do you think I posted here?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||03/05/2021|
I posted it you cheap whores
|by Anonymous||reply 13||03/05/2021|
what’s a paywall
|by Anonymous||reply 14||03/05/2021|
It's already too late to post anything on thread #22.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||03/05/2021|
I'm so tired of Michael Steele
MSNBC needs some new blood
|by Anonymous||reply 16||03/05/2021|
I agree, R16.
The hosts recycle most of the commentators on that channel.
But that's the nature of 24/7 television.
You can only find so many people who are available to comment.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||03/05/2021|
I still miss Kasie DC on Sunday evening, best show, best panels. Record but rarely watch WTE, where she is wasted.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||03/05/2021|
Chris Hayes is getting porkier and shriller and stammer-ier and "like"-ier than I can stand now.
Mehdi Hasan is growing on me, on the other hand.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||03/05/2021|
I like Hayes' show but whoever here thinks he's muscular and fit is dead wrong. He's fit-fat. I've seen that pic of him at the gym but clearly his diet defeats a lot of the work he puts in.
I like how hard Hayes goes at the evil repubs
the sassiest by far is O'Donnell though. I laugh at him going in on the repubs as he sounds every bit the white guy who was young in the 70s and 80s. I'm glad he doesn't try to talk like a young person though as it would be absurd for someone his age
|by Anonymous||reply 20||03/05/2021|
r13, it is wonderful to be appreciated.
Thank you and carry on.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||03/05/2021|
Oh, and r13, have them post 15 bumps to close the thread.
Or you can do it, you wealthy pal...
|by Anonymous||reply 22||03/05/2021|
Chris is a cutie pie.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||03/05/2021|
R18 I liked that show, too. MSNBC is exceedingly boring on weekends unless something big breaks.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||03/05/2021|
Yeah, I don't really watch it much on weekends.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||03/05/2021|
I love hearing Chris snicker when a guest says something sarcastic. You can tell he has a good sense of humor
|by Anonymous||reply 26||03/05/2021|
I like Joy but GURL, dial it back a little.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||03/05/2021|
I still miss Kasie DC on Sunday evening, best show, best panels.
I do too. Kasie may not have tons of personality or charisma, but I think that's actually what I liked about Kasie DC. It was just calm, smart, and featured interesting guests. It was my Sunday TV highlight. I'm not a huge fan of Alicia Menendez or Joshua Johnson or any of MSNBC's weekend anchors and hosts.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||03/05/2021|
I must be in the minority but I LOVE Alicia Menendez and Joshua Johnson, find them both very straightforward and engaging.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||03/05/2021|
I'm fine with Joshua. Nothing personal against Alicia but I think she's a better commentator than host
|by Anonymous||reply 30||03/05/2021|
It appears that Velshi does not inherit the Rachel handshake anymore subbing for Lawrence..
Friday night was a regular splice of shows. No happy talk.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||03/06/2021|
I'm tired of Ali Velshi popping up everywhere.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||03/06/2021|
I like Joy but GURL, dial it back a little.
That’s her “Black woman in charge here” enthusiasm.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||03/06/2021|
Velshi is paired with female co-anchors (Romans & Ruhle) who he gets into fast-talking repartee with. When he's solo he seems to be at a loss and trying to hard.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||03/06/2021|
R34 trying too hard.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||03/06/2021|
Cute Vaughn back on, blinking and bouncing. He is slightly built.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||03/07/2021|
R36 Right the bouncing, I thought he might just really need to pee.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||03/07/2021|
No, he always does the bouncing. It's subconscious I think.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||03/07/2021|
Are you all aware of how much they pay these contributors? Considering what stupid things some of them say, it's pretty outrageous.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||03/08/2021|
Hate Dr. Vin.
He would have you stay at home forever if he could while he gets vaccinated to live his life.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||03/08/2021|
^^ yeah I hate it when health care professionals get vaccinated ^^
|by Anonymous||reply 41||03/08/2021|
LOVE Dr. Vin Gupta. So handsome and explains things very well. I always watch when he's on tv
Joan Walsh is back and stopped dyeing her hair! All white now
|by Anonymous||reply 42||03/08/2021|
Nicolle Wallace has been trying to control her inappropriate laughter to the point of acknowledging it at the time ("I'm laughing only because _____"), but there is no hope for her. Could it be her republican reality breaking through and ridiculing us? I hope not.
You are insulting and alienating the very viewers, whose plights are under discussion at the time, with your idiocy; get a grip, woman. Do none of the top brass monitor these shows?
|by Anonymous||reply 43||03/08/2021|
Rachel was talking tonight about her brother-in-law but I didn't think that Rachel and Susan were married. She said her brother-in-law and Susan's mother went to get vaccinated together.
This link says they aren't married. All the articles about Rachel says that Susan is her partner, not her wife.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||03/08/2021|
Cute Vaughn back on, blinking and bouncing
On my dong, that is
|by Anonymous||reply 45||03/08/2021|
Did Rachel talk about Meghan and Harry tonight? If not, she must be the only anchor in the world who didn't go there.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||03/08/2021|
MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace Reveals What Now ‘Terrifies’ Her About The GOP
MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace on Monday told “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert what really scares her about the Republican Party following its capitulation to former President Donald Trump.
Wallace, who served as White House communications director under former President George W. Bush, described herself as a “self-loathing former Republican.” She lamented how the GOP today isn’t even trying to spin events and is now just built on a foundation of B.S.
“They are so far from the truth that you can no longer have a conversation with them about how to solve anything because they don’t agree on what the problems are, and that terrifies me,” the “Deadline: White House” anchor said.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||03/09/2021|
Did Phil decorate for St. Patrick’s Day?
|by Anonymous||reply 48||03/09/2021|
What show has Phil been on lately??
I haven't seen him in forever!
|by Anonymous||reply 49||03/09/2021|
Phil and Carol Leonnig are at work on a book apparently on the last year of the Trump administration. Two things: if Phil is under a deadline, he may be forgoing television appearances to meet his publisher's deadline. Also, once the book's publication is close, the publisher will embargo the author(s) so that they're not "stale" by publication date.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||03/09/2021|
why more trump-let it go!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 51||03/09/2021|
R51 I don't care about Trump's every move but I want to hear about any and all legal cases. That is enjoyable
|by Anonymous||reply 52||03/09/2021|
Heaven is having Vaughn Hillyard sit on my face.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||03/09/2021|
Has there been any confirmation that Vaughn is gay? I just can't imagine he's straight but also don't like to assume.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||03/09/2021|
If you're into pocket gay types, Jacob Soboroff is so much hotter than Vaughn!
|by Anonymous||reply 55||03/09/2021|
Yeah but Jacob is straight.
Vaughn is... questionable.
So it's fun to speculate.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||03/09/2021|
My gaydar launches to Mars whenever Vaughn appears on camera.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||03/09/2021|
Sure R57, but that's only because Vaughn is a twink.
Kornacki is gay, and he doesn't ping to me at all.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||03/09/2021|
But Jacob is straight, so I'd rather save my fantasies for other gay boys like (I hope) Vaughn.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||03/09/2021|
Me thinks Vaughn likes the boys.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||03/09/2021|
Nicolle’s special- 😢
|by Anonymous||reply 61||03/10/2021|
That was the idea, R61. Not that MSNBC or Wallace was trying to be exploitive or manipulative, or anything like that . . . .
|by Anonymous||reply 62||03/10/2021|
Yes, R61, impossible to watch without shedding at least a tear or two.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||03/10/2021|
I like Joy Reid but DAMMIT. Stop interrupting your guests unless you absolutely have to because you ran out of time. You know there’s a Zoom delay. It’s so annoying!
|by Anonymous||reply 64||03/11/2021|
Joy has developed a habit of muttering yeah as a guest finishes a point, especially if they are not going where her pointed question directed them. Almost as bad as Ari's hmmm, as if he was busy on his phone and realized a response is required.
Nicolle is a bit overexposed on MSNBC lately, but her engagement and response to guests is impeccable. She is an excellent questioner, and very interested in responses. She often changes direction in comment/questioning in response.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||03/12/2021|
I said that about Joy's "yeahs" three months ago here on the previous MSNBC thread. It does appear like she's not listening to her guest and Ari's "hmmms" evoke the same issue. Engage in the conversation, guys!
And I agree about Nicolle.....she really is the best anchor on TV, any network. '
|by Anonymous||reply 66||03/12/2021|
Nicolle is a bit overexposed on MSNBC lately, but her engagement and response to guests is impeccable. She is an excellent questioner, and very interested in responses
This is what I look for in an interviewer. Someone who actually LISTENS to what their guests are saying.
Too many of these talking heads just want to hear THEMSELVES talk. They really don't give a shit what their guests have to say.
It's only THEIR opinion that counts.
If that's the case - if you're not going to listen to your guest comments - then DON'T HAVE THEM ON.
Just make the show about yourself talking for the entire 60 minutes!!!!
*glaring at Joy Reid*
|by Anonymous||reply 67||03/12/2021|
Chuck Todd makes noises while every guest is speaking. It is so rude and annoying. Is he really only 5' 2"?
|by Anonymous||reply 68||03/12/2021|
Lol at Todd being 5"2" tall. I pray it is true.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||03/12/2021|
I just looked up his height, and it's either 5'10" or 5'2" - depending on the source.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||03/12/2021|
Um, that's quite a difference, R70.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||03/12/2021|
Jesus Joy! Dial it down a little. She was so loud and animated tonight.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||03/12/2021|
Last night Rachel tried to get Dr Fauci to state there was pressure from the WH for the CDC to delay statement on fully vaccinated guidelines. WTF is her problem? She had read some article on new drugs to treat COVID patients and she was speculating there was something amiss with the WH not promoting thes wonder drugs. Fauci had to once again correct her and explain the drugs she was talking about were not oral drugs but drugs that require infusion centers to be used. He further informed her these drugs were being looked at. You could see she was not happy with being put in her place. She then told Dr. Fauci he was welcome to come on her show anytime he was suspicious of any WH issues with being forthcoming on the virus. Again, WTF is her problem with Biden? She talks out of both sides of her mouth about him.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||03/12/2021|
Chuck is a lot taller than 5'2" for the love of God. All you have to do is look at him. He even stands up now once in a while on MTP. He also makes the noises to acknowledge the other person's answers. It isn't agreement or disagreement. It is no different than reporters constantly nodding to their interviewees to keep them talking.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||03/12/2021|
|by Anonymous||reply 75||03/12/2021|
I can't believe that anyone actually gives a shit about Chuck Todd, when MSNBC has Vaughn, Phillip, and Jacob Soboroff to ogle.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||03/13/2021|
^^ Not to mention Morgan Chesky ^^
|by Anonymous||reply 77||03/13/2021|
And Gadi Schwartz.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||03/13/2021|
Gadi Schwartz's appearances on MSNBC are random. Reportedly he has an NBC program on Snapchat.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||03/13/2021|
|by Anonymous||reply 80||03/14/2021|
Rachel Maddow just won a Grammy.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||03/14/2021|
Oh goodness, Rachel will talk for an hour abt it tmw!
|by Anonymous||reply 82||03/14/2021|
Vaughan is a hot twink. But that doesn't mean he's gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 83||03/14/2021|
Vaughn is a twink. But that doesn't mean he's hot.
There. I fixed it for you, r83.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||03/14/2021|
Half way to EGOT.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||03/14/2021|
that’s like saying just because David Muir lives with a man, it doesn’t make him gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||03/14/2021|
Now turn Bagman into a play when the theaters open.
Then pull a Christine Lahti and turn it into a Live Action Short film or Documentary.
Submit for Best Adapted Screenplay if possible.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||03/14/2021|
bow down, bitches!
|by Anonymous||reply 88||03/14/2021|
What in the hell did Rachel win a Grammy for, R81? Sheesh, they'll just give one to anybody won't they?
And R84 you don't think that Vaughn is cute?
You're probably that jealous old troll Kornacki.
|by Anonymous||reply 89||03/15/2021|
I'm not R84, but I think that BOTH Vaughn and Steve K. are cute. They both have the sexy nerd vibe going.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||03/15/2021|
Compared to Soboroff, Haake, Chesky and even a few others, Vaughn falls short for me. I don't find Kornacki cute either. Sorry.
|by Anonymous||reply 91||03/15/2021|
Vaughn is cute because he's relatively young and a twink.
He's going to lose his looks quickly, though. He's a Midwesterner. They don't age well.
|by Anonymous||reply 92||03/15/2021|
He's a Midwesterner. They don't age well.
No he's not. He's an Arizonan. Grew up in Phoenix, went to Arizona State and started out working in Arizona.
|by Anonymous||reply 93||03/15/2021|
|by Anonymous||reply 94||03/15/2021|
And where do you suppose white Arizonans come from?
|by Anonymous||reply 95||03/16/2021|
Sam Brock from Miami Beach today.... Jesus what a hot guy!
|by Anonymous||reply 96||03/16/2021|
someone needs to punch that smug troll Jake Sherman in the face. I can't stand him. Cocky. Thinks he knows everything and is a total DEPLORABLE sympathizer. Always presents situations from a Republican point of view. He runs what is basically Page Six for congress. A gossip rag.
|by Anonymous||reply 97||03/17/2021|
HATE that turd Jake Sherman 💩
|by Anonymous||reply 98||03/17/2021|
During her two hours on TV you can can count on Nicole Wallace saying these five things on every show.
"I want to push back on that"
"I want to pull on that thread"
"I want to follow up on this topic"
"I want to drill down on this"
"I want you to pick up on that"
|by Anonymous||reply 99||03/17/2021|
R99, I think that’s exactly right.
|by Anonymous||reply 100||03/17/2021|
"Don't go anywhere. We're just getting started!"
"And we'll talk about it on the other side."
"Claire, what's on your cake plate this week?"
|by Anonymous||reply 101||03/17/2021|
"I was working in the White House on September 11th..."
|by Anonymous||reply 102||03/17/2021|
“We’re gonna sneak in a QUICK break..”
|by Anonymous||reply 103||03/17/2021|
Yeah, Nicolle has her tag lines as R101, R102 and R103 noted above but she is still the best of the MSNBC hosts. I have noticed that there are 4 republican commentators (Rick Wilson, John Hielman, Steve Schmidt and (to a lesser extent) Mike Murphy) that look quite similar but have s viewpoints and delivery styles that are a bit unique. Of the four, I find Mike Murphy the best since he really boils down the topic at hand and doesn't go to the Moon and back like John H. to explain what could be said in far fewer words. Also, have you noted how many different pair of eyeglasses John H. wears when he's on? Maybe he's hawking frames for Warby Parker. Mike Murphy is usually on The 11th Hour which is a bit late for me but I've caught him in the replays if I wake up and can't sleep.
|by Anonymous||reply 104||03/17/2021|
Shut the fuck up, R67. My guests are stupid, so I talk over them and answer my own questions for them.
|by Anonymous||reply 105||03/17/2021|
A pretty girl used to getting what she wants.
|by Anonymous||reply 106||03/17/2021|
Just make the show about yourself talking for the entire 60 minutes!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 107||03/17/2021|
I think Phil lives on the second floor.
|by Anonymous||reply 108||03/17/2021|
The ratings are starting to crash.
Not as bad as CNN's.
Chris Hayes did something weird to his hair.
|by Anonymous||reply 109||03/17/2021|
I think Phil lives on the second floor.
He lives upstairs from me.
Yes, I think I've seen him before.
|by Anonymous||reply 110||03/17/2021|
I’m finding Jon Ossoff so distractingly attractive that I can’t pay attention to what he’s saying on Lawrence’s show.
|by Anonymous||reply 111||03/17/2021|
Do you Nicolle Wallace fans know that she's written 3 novels about women in politics? Amazon describes them as constituting a trilogy -- has anyone here read some/all of them? I haven't.
|by Anonymous||reply 112||03/17/2021|
r108 - I thought it was Luka who lived on the second floor.
|by Anonymous||reply 113||03/17/2021|
I live on the second floor. I live upstairs from you. Yes I think you've seen me before.
|by Anonymous||reply 114||03/17/2021|
Ken Dilanian is a dilf!
|by Anonymous||reply 115||03/18/2021|
Nicolle Wallace is taking next week off and Alex Wagner co-host of The Circus on Showtime will be taking over for her.
|by Anonymous||reply 116||03/19/2021|
R116 That's great, I like her.
|by Anonymous||reply 117||03/19/2021|
At least Jason Johnson is not filling in for Nicolle!
|by Anonymous||reply 118||03/19/2021|
The news is pretty dull these days. Wait until the Trump prosecutions. Ratings bonanza.
|by Anonymous||reply 119||03/19/2021|
Michael Cohen was just on and he is doing everything he can to put the screws to Trump. His hatred is real.
|by Anonymous||reply 120||03/19/2021|
R115 Ken Dilanian is fine - and fine tuning himself.
|by Anonymous||reply 121||03/20/2021|
WTF Jonathan Capeheart. The verbal stumbling was off the chain today, worse than usual. I wish he would work on that shit.
|by Anonymous||reply 122||03/21/2021|
R122 Nicolle and Chris Hayes do it a lot too
|by Anonymous||reply 123||03/21/2021|
R122 He's an improvement over Kendis Gibson. Indeed, indeed. Has David Gura landed anywhere after his departure in November?
|by Anonymous||reply 124||03/21/2021|
R122 - Yes! Kendis Gibson is horrible - he constantly stumbles when speaking. I stopped watching the weekend show that he co-hosts with someone who's name escapes me which is a good thing. I miss David Gura - he is so CUTE and has a great personality and sense of humor.
|by Anonymous||reply 125||03/22/2021|
Per his Twitter profile, it looks like David Gura is still freelancing and doesn't have a full-time gig other than playing the fiddle on Instagram.
|by Anonymous||reply 126||03/22/2021|
Firing David Gura was a big mistake. I know he's just a white guy but he was very engaging and informed and he would be a good contrast to all of the BIPOC weekend anchors. I wonder if there were other reasons for letting him go?
|by Anonymous||reply 127||03/22/2021|
After they gave his time slots to Velshi, he probably got Kornacki'ed - but without a specialty like election stats, he decided not to stick around to play substitute anchor.
|by Anonymous||reply 128||03/22/2021|
Love seeing Alex Wagner fill in for Nicole. She’s fabulous
|by Anonymous||reply 129||03/22/2021|
Put her on i/o Jason Johnson.
|by Anonymous||reply 130||03/22/2021|
Alex Wagner did a great job filling in today.*
|by Anonymous||reply 131||03/22/2021|
Ari is sexy as fuck. That is all.
|by Anonymous||reply 132||03/22/2021|
ugh Jason Johnson.
|by Anonymous||reply 133||03/22/2021|
R132 Ari is fucking sexy. I like to watch him speak with the sound muted. He does something special with his mouth, kind of let's it hang open for an extra split second at the end of a phrase. A lot like JKF Jr. It looks almost like he may have studied JFK Jr. based on other gestures & mannerisms. He does that knowing, lazy, flirty thing with everyone.
|by Anonymous||reply 134||03/22/2021|
Are Ari Melber and Nicolle Wallace off all week? If so, why? Passover week doesn't start until March 27 (Sat.) and Easter isn't until April 4. Even if Passover were the reason, I know that Melber is Jewish but I don't think that Wallace is (though Wikipedia says that her boyfriend, Mike Schmidt, is).
In any event, Wallace should be careful -- I like her sub better!
|by Anonymous||reply 135||03/22/2021|
Ari Melber isn't off. Nicolle Wallace and Joy Reid are.
|by Anonymous||reply 136||03/22/2021|
Your so predictable r133
|by Anonymous||reply 137||03/22/2021|
OOOOPS! You're right, R136 -- Johnson is subbing for Reid, not Melber. So I don't know which I dislike more, Reid or her sub -- thank goodness for the local news that's on at the same time as her show.
|by Anonymous||reply 138||03/22/2021|
I expect we’ll be seeing more of Mehdi Hassan in the coming months. Maybe he’ll take over both of Jason Johnson’s time slots? Unfortunately there’s no room for Mehdi during the week while Chris Hayes is still there
|by Anonymous||reply 139||03/22/2021|
Do you mean JOSHUA Johnson, r139?
Why can't I have Mehdi and Joshua on my weekends??
|by Anonymous||reply 140||03/22/2021|
Give Mehdi Hassan Meet The Press. Send that dopey Todd packing. Hard to believe HE is the political director for all NBC News.
|by Anonymous||reply 141||03/22/2021|
Todd must know how to present hole.
|by Anonymous||reply 142||03/22/2021|
R115. Ken's married to an Asian, so you know what that means.
|by Anonymous||reply 143||03/22/2021|
Man MSNBC's coverage of the Boulder shooting is horrible, Lawrence O'Donnell was on during the news conference by the police and didn't even realize they gave the number of dead victims. So he sums up what was just broadcast and tells us that the police still didn't tell us the number of victims even though they just did.
|by Anonymous||reply 144||03/22/2021|
He was unaware of his own Chiron. It was embarrassing.
|by Anonymous||reply 145||03/22/2021|
I miss Kasie on Sundays. I tune in at 5AM when I am up and remember, but I was also a fan of her Sunday night show....
|by Anonymous||reply 146||03/23/2021|
Feels like Kasie got demoted on the 5am show.
Plus now that she’s a mother, she acts like a martyr mom.
|by Anonymous||reply 147||03/24/2021|
Ayman looks hot in the field.
|by Anonymous||reply 148||03/24/2021|
Looks like Alex Wagner is filling in for Nicole all week which is fantastic. She is a breath of fresh air. The normal lineup is getting stale. In the coming months I can see Deadline getting cut back to one hour to make room for a new host.
|by Anonymous||reply 149||03/24/2021|
LOVE Alex Wagner! Wouldn't be surprised if we don't see a lot of her subbing and contributing with the new and just attention to Asian issues.
|by Anonymous||reply 150||03/24/2021|
Nicolle is my absolute favorite - but I am REALLY liking Alex Wagner A LOT! She doesn't seem to have a the few quirks that annoy me with Nicolle.
|by Anonymous||reply 151||03/24/2021|
and Alex is easy on the eyes
|by Anonymous||reply 152||03/24/2021|
What's going on with Chuck Todd?
Dude is never on his OWN show.
|by Anonymous||reply 153||03/24/2021|
Alex hosted a show on MSNBC for years which is why she's such a pro behind the desk. I'd love to have her back full time but she travels a lot for The Circus so I don't think it would work out schedule wise.
|by Anonymous||reply 154||03/24/2021|
Love the Circus!
Where’s John H. been—He has been missing on MSNBC.
|by Anonymous||reply 155||03/24/2021|
I like Alex Wagner better than Nicolle Wallace too. Among other things, she's got great hair!
|by Anonymous||reply 156||03/24/2021|
R155 - John H. is being fitted for yet ANOTHER pair of eyeglasses hence his absence. I would imagine he has a walk-in closet filled with all the eyeglasses he's worn/has but is still searching for that perfect pair.
|by Anonymous||reply 157||03/24/2021|
John’s Hamptons & Tribeca houses are no joke. That book money bought some NY real estate.
|by Anonymous||reply 158||03/24/2021|
When you don't have any hair and not much of a face, eyeglasses are everything. So why not have several pairs?
|by Anonymous||reply 159||03/24/2021|
Tonight's shade from Brian Williams -- after showing a clip of Arizona governor Doug Ducey criticizing President Biden for putting V.P. Harris in charge of the border issue: (speaking to Eugene Robinson) "So, Doug Ducey's staying on brand. And look, Eugene, does Kamala Harris have anywhere near the expertise that a MIke Pence brings to the coronavirus fight? Of course not."
|by Anonymous||reply 160||03/24/2021|
The way other anchors are welcoming Alex back, sounds like a more regular gig may be in the works.
|by Anonymous||reply 161||03/24/2021|
^ That would be great. Perhaps Nicolle wants to go back to one hour.
|by Anonymous||reply 162||03/25/2021|
that turd jake sherman is on again...
|by Anonymous||reply 163||03/25/2021|
^^ His former love interest Luke Russert seems nowhere to be found.
|by Anonymous||reply 164||03/25/2021|
Alex Wagner is the best and has always had a knack for this. I loved her original msnbc show and never quite understood why she left, especially right before the 2016 election started heating up. Nicolle Wallace is great too, but they should definitely find a prominent place for Alex on the permanent schedule if she's open to it.
|by Anonymous||reply 165||03/25/2021|
Alex is a natural—she is articulate & understands politics.
MSNBC would be fools to pass up on her, but maybe the Circus prohibits her from doing a weekday show.
|by Anonymous||reply 166||03/25/2021|
She worked as a CBS weekend anchor on CBS, I think. She'd also had a baby around the time and likely took maternity leave.
|by Anonymous||reply 167||03/25/2021|
I was sort of pissed when Nicolle took over Kornacki's slot, but eventually warmed to her, thinking she did a good job during the Trump years. If Alex were to take over one of her hours, the comparison might be too stark to warrant Nicolle sticking around.
Was I the only one to learn of the Mike (not Steve) Schmidt friendship by reading this thread? still mystified by that.
|by Anonymous||reply 168||03/25/2021|
Mike & Nicolle are a couple.
|by Anonymous||reply 169||03/25/2021|
She worked as a CBS weekend anchor on CBS, I think.
If you're going to work as a CBS weekend anchor, CBS is probably the best place to do it.
Yes, she co-anchored CBS This Morning on Saturdays.
|by Anonymous||reply 170||03/25/2021|
Alex’s show was canceled because MSNBC wanted their daytime lineup to be more of just straight up news without the commentary that the primetime shows featured. She became an editor at The Atlantic after leaving msnbc.
|by Anonymous||reply 171||03/25/2021|
Mike Schmidt appeared on Nicolle Wallace's show one day this week -- if he's not on vacation, where is she?
|by Anonymous||reply 172||03/25/2021|
Beto looks HAWT tonight! Yummy
|by Anonymous||reply 173||03/25/2021|

|by Anonymous||reply 174||03/25/2021|
Thank you for alerting me to my sucky phone editing skills, r170. Much appreciated and will try harder next time though I can't guarantee results to your pleasing.

Alex Wagner hosted a noontime show (later moved to 4pm) on MSNBC called "NOW with Alex Wagner," 2011-2015.
March 17, 2018 was her last appearance on CBS This Morning Saturday as she confirmed she would be leaving that show to co-host The Circus for Showtime, replacing Mark Halperin. She remains a correspondent for CBS News.
|by Anonymous||reply 176||03/25/2021|
Beto coming up with Alex next segment FYI
|by Anonymous||reply 177||03/26/2021|

give alex a show!!
|by Anonymous||reply 178||03/26/2021|

|by Anonymous||reply 179||03/26/2021|
"Kornacki had a slot?"
April 28, 2017 "The show [Deadline Whitehouse] based in New York, will take over the 4-5 PM ET timeslot, replacing the 4 PM edition of MSNBC Live currently hosted by political correspondent Steve Kornacki. As host, Wallace will tackle the latest political developments and conduct newsmaker interviews, according to the network. MSNBC says Kornacki “will continue his presence in the hour, providing in-depth discussion and analysis.”"
Steve's continuing presence lasted less than 2 weeks. It was a little humiliating to have him just sitting on set for much of the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 180||03/27/2021|
Sounds like that was intended to be temporary.
|by Anonymous||reply 181||03/29/2021|
^ He's lauded for vote tallying and projections, obscure references to election history, but he's also a really good host/anchor. just not very exciting.
|by Anonymous||reply 182||03/29/2021|
It’s been awhile since we’ve discussed Phil Rucker and his wonderfully appointed, street-level condo somewhere near downtown DC.
Today with Nicolle he was showing off his embrace of spring with fresh daffodils and a beautiful orchid. But what caught my eye was the painting on the wall... I think he changed it for the season, but I can’t really tell.
Also... where has Nicolle been?! I believe she was out for two weeks. I didn’t mind Alex Whatshername too much last week, but the first fill-in I believe was Ayman who doesn’t quite do it for me as much as John Heilemann does.
|by Anonymous||reply 183||03/29/2021|
r183, where were you last week?? The Alex Wagner Fan Club met here every day, plotting to do a way with Nicolle and set up Alex 4-6:00 pm.
|by Anonymous||reply 184||03/29/2021|
I see that upthread now... never registered on my Thread Watcher. Damn Muriel!
|by Anonymous||reply 185||03/29/2021|
So nice to hear about Phil, and the changing of the seasons.
I can just imagine him shopping for just the right flowers, carrying it up the steps to his lovely townhouse, selecting just the right vase, and finding just the right placement in his living room, so as to accentuate his video background.
|by Anonymous||reply 186||03/29/2021|
R183, Nicolle was off for just one week (likely her son's school break). Did you maybe turn your TV on an hour early at some point and think Ayman's noontime show was him covering for her?
|by Anonymous||reply 187||03/29/2021|
I've lost all respect for Tim Miller.
He was just on Brian Williams' "11th Hour" show, wearing a t-shirt. A T-SHIRT. ON A NATIONAL NEWS BROADCAST.
And he was speaking on the serious subject of Dr. Birx, and how she failed to do her job when it was important, which contributed to the 400,000 Americans dying unnecessarily.
So he decided to wear a T-SHIRT on-air. It said "BOO BOO RECORDS."
What a fucking MORON.
Talk about the dumbing down of America. People complain about wearing t-shirts to fancy restaurants, t-shirts in First Class on a flight, etc.
But this one really takes the motherfucking CAKE.
|by Anonymous||reply 188||03/29/2021|
On a more positive note, Phil Rucker's Spring motif is looking fabulous!
Keep it up, Phil!
|by Anonymous||reply 189||03/29/2021|
R183, see photo at R189.

Stephanie’s hair looks SO good today.
Wonder if DL is calling her a Trumper for the questions she is asking the White House about the Covid restrictions.....
|by Anonymous||reply 191||03/30/2021|
Phil has had that same painting for a while now. Sometimes he has the camera positioned so it’s in frame as in R189's link, other times he turns the camera more to the right when he has the drapes open.
|by Anonymous||reply 192||03/30/2021|
I wish I was on television, just so I could do fun things like create a cool background for my appearance.
|by Anonymous||reply 193||03/30/2021|
We are in trouble if this trial is not guilty.
|by Anonymous||reply 194||03/30/2021|
I agree, R194.
It'll probably be worse than the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles.
|by Anonymous||reply 195||03/30/2021|
I never get sick of Rachel saying she had a whole show planned and they had to throw it out the window for something bigger that just happened.
|by Anonymous||reply 196||03/30/2021|
What was the "something bigger" R196?
|by Anonymous||reply 197||03/30/2021|
Something bigger is the Matt Gaetz story.
|by Anonymous||reply 198||03/30/2021|
In this case, it was well worth it. ^^^^^
|by Anonymous||reply 199||03/30/2021|
I'm conflicted on the Matt Gaetz story.
I simply don't believe that he's straight. Not one bit.
So it makes this awkward, because I hate him and want him to go down, but at the same time... there's Nestor.
|by Anonymous||reply 200||03/30/2021|
R196 - I also like her news flash endings, with tonight's being about two capitol police officers (who were attacked and injured on January 6) filing a lawsuit tonight against Trump for inciting a "wild riot" that day.
|by Anonymous||reply 201||03/30/2021|
I said that about Joy's "yeahs" three months ago here on the previous MSNBC thread. It does appear like she's not listening to her guest
She starts yeah-yeahing when the guest is taking too long and she's due for a commercial break.
|by Anonymous||reply 202||03/30/2021|
^^ Comes across as unnecessarily dismissive, not good interviewer etiquette. The interviewee practice that irks me is when the pundit, analyst, commentator starts their reply (or even each sentence) with "Look..." or "Listen....". For some it seems to be hardwired habit, but it still grates. Susan Glasser is a big offender.
|by Anonymous||reply 203||03/30/2021|
Is the Matt Gayetz story still "Breaking News?"
|by Anonymous||reply 204||03/31/2021|
Nothing would make me happier than to see Matt Gaetz and Gym Jordan thrown in jail.
|by Anonymous||reply 205||03/31/2021|
Now do Josh Hawley!
|by Anonymous||reply 206||03/31/2021|
R200, we have to think of Nestor. Tossed aside for some 17 year old girl.
|by Anonymous||reply 207||03/31/2021|
lol I love Rachel's reactions to slimy stories whether it's Trump sexual misconduct accusations, the Epstein stuff and now Gaetz
|by Anonymous||reply 208||03/31/2021|
MSNBC needs to be covering Claudia.
|by Anonymous||reply 209||03/31/2021|
Okay, why the fuck is MSNBC showing commercials for Faux News? Is Faux showing commercials for MSNBC?
|by Anonymous||reply 210||03/31/2021|
Mehdi Hassan has a face for radio and a voice for print.
|by Anonymous||reply 211||03/31/2021|
R210 A couple months ago MSNBC was running ads for CNN. I also posted that question here but didn't see a response.
|by Anonymous||reply 212||03/31/2021|
That painting on Philip Rucker's wall is extremely boring. I'm guessing he's friends with the painter.
|by Anonymous||reply 213||03/31/2021|
Not a fan of MSNBC’s new aesthetic. Looks cheap.
|by Anonymous||reply 214||04/01/2021|
R190 I did see that pic, hence my post well before R189. I already admitted to not reading upthread, but then I caught up. Still unsure who it was that left me unimpressed during the first half of Nicolle’s absence but I guess it wasn’t Ayman, not was I thinking his 1p hour was at 4p. Yes, Alex Wagner is great. Happy to see her back on the network
|by Anonymous||reply 215||04/01/2021|
Happy birthday, Rachel!
You're 48 years OLD today.
|by Anonymous||reply 216||04/01/2021|
r211, I agree. I like Medhi just fine, but he's better as a guest than as a host. Plus, I miss seeing Chris Hayes' cherubic face and bay blue bedroom eyes.
|by Anonymous||reply 217||04/01/2021|
I HATE the new design of msnbc. Yuck
|by Anonymous||reply 218||04/01/2021|
R210, R212, I’d chuck it up to they really are all in this together.
Sure on air, they blast each other—they’re rivals in this blood sport, you’re supposed to!
But at the end of the day, would MSNBC really love to see Fox News go down in flames? No, because they might be next. Winning does not always mean killing the competition.
These rich news proprietors (the people who sign off on things like advertising) all clink glass at the same Executive Clubs anyway. It’s all a big dick measuring context. Those ads show ONE moment they revealed their hand.
|by Anonymous||reply 219||04/02/2021|
Has Chris Hayes been hitting the gym? He's looking pretty buff.
|by Anonymous||reply 220||04/02/2021|
Okay, why the fuck is MSNBC showing commercials for Faux News? Is Faux showing commercials for MSNBC?
It's probably not MSNBC showing the commercials. It's probably your cable provider -- especially if it's ads for other cable networks. Some of the commercial blocks are filled by the cable company, not the network.
|by Anonymous||reply 221||04/02/2021|
Someone created a thread entitled "Joy Reid is at it again."
Lol. What did she do this time?
|by Anonymous||reply 222||04/02/2021|
So when Rachel made a big deal about it being Paul Manafort’s birthday she was actually making a big deal about herself.
|by Anonymous||reply 223||04/02/2021|
The turd 💩 Jake Sherman is back with his friend Katy Tur.

Yes, Chris works out. I think he could stand to get a little leaner though.

Chris works out by lifting pizza and beer up into his flabby round face.

Joy must be shitting herself that all the PR work she did for Malcolm Kenyatta is going onto the toilet. Kenyatta has a thin resume and little besides black and gay.
He was over his skis when he moved to fill the PA Senate vacancy as PA LT Gov. Fetterman ( a radical LGBT ally ) just raised FOUR MILLION DOLLARS for the race.
As a nice flip, DL fave Gay PA Legislator, Brian Sims, is running for PA LT. Gov., Fetterman's old position.
|by Anonymous||reply 228||04/02/2021|
Tiff did not do her wig tonight.
That’s a greasy mess, on Joy.
|by Anonymous||reply 229||04/02/2021|
lol technical difficulties again
this time just after Rachel talked to Mehdi in the handoff, her camera froze
now it's Richard Lui on until they work out the issue
|by Anonymous||reply 230||04/02/2021|
Ali Velshi is probably filling in for Lawrence tonight.
Rachel remains a chyron priority.
|by Anonymous||reply 231||04/02/2021|
And now it's Ali Velshi. With a chiron at the bottom saying that "we hope Rachel will be with us soon." If it takes too long, she might have to throw her whole show out the window again.
|by Anonymous||reply 232||04/02/2021|
Is it part of the pundits contracts to have their books prominently displayed in the background when they come on a show?
And for that matter, does Claire McCaskill have the same contract clause for her kitchen goodies?
|by Anonymous||reply 233||04/02/2021|
R230 Same thing happened to Brian Williams not too long ago. Camera froze at the start of the show, then cut to some woman doing amergency fill-in. What kind of a mickey mouse organization are these people running, anyway?
|by Anonymous||reply 234||04/02/2021|
On Twitter, Rachel said the power went out in the studio.
|by Anonymous||reply 235||04/02/2021|
Tiffany Cross is trying to talk in a lower voice and 1/3 less speed.
Someone got a talking-to by management.
|by Anonymous||reply 236||04/03/2021|
Tiffany can't disguise that helium voice.
|by Anonymous||reply 237||04/03/2021|
I think Rachel is hiding something from us. I don’t think she was in the New York studio. The last time she had “technical difficulties “ was also a Friday. I think she has arranged to do her Friday shows from her home or perhaps a borrowed studio, perhaps in Springfield, Albany or Hartford. For some reason she doesn’t want the audience to know. Perhaps she thinks it makes her look like a prima donna.
There. I said it.
|by Anonymous||reply 238||04/03/2021|
I think Rachel is hiding something from us. I don’t think she was in the New York studio. The last time she had “technical difficulties “ was also a Friday.
You may be right. I wasn't watching last night, but from what I understand, her video froze, and then they said in the crawl at the bottom of the screen that "Rachel's camera is having technical difficulties." Then Rachel said it was a power outage in the studio. But wasn't Ali Velshi, who temporarily stepped in, supposedly in the same New York studio? Was it a highly localized power outage that only affected Rachel's set but not Ali's set?
Now that a lot of news anchors and hosts have perfected the art of using the right lighting and makeup and "green screens" in their homes, I suspect we'll see more cases of them "phoning it in" from home while fooling us to make it look like they're actually in the studio.
|by Anonymous||reply 239||04/03/2021|
Obviously Rachel was not in the studio. I assumed she was still doing her show from home every night.
|by Anonymous||reply 240||04/03/2021|
Why would broadcasting from a studio make Rachel a better journalist/anchor? If one is looking to lay blame, blame it on MSNBC producers and their tech team who cannot get their shit together.
|by Anonymous||reply 241||04/03/2021|
I never cared for Brian Williams when he was anchoring NBC Nightly News, but I love him on MSNBC. And I find him sexy now.
|by Anonymous||reply 242||04/03/2021|
Because this is the second time (at least) that they had to scramble to fill her air time for 20-30 minutes. Her being away from the studio makes it more complicated and places MSNBC at the mercy of third parties.
Plus, it just seems dishonest not to disclose that she’s not in New York. MSNBC has always been spotty about making it clear where a speaker is located.
|by Anonymous||reply 243||04/03/2021|
Agreed, r242! Brian has a way of delivering the news at 11 pm that's very intimate and engaging. I think he should sit in an easy chair with soft lighting, wearing a cardigan and open-necked shirt.
|by Anonymous||reply 244||04/03/2021|
r243, how would disclosing where Rachel's delivering the news affect your receiving of said news?
|by Anonymous||reply 245||04/03/2021|
It goes to credibility. The sense that she’s hiding something does not create confidence.
|by Anonymous||reply 246||04/03/2021|
r244, cable has allowed Brian's snarkiness and sarcasm to blossom in a way not possible with Broadcast.
|by Anonymous||reply 247||04/03/2021|
how would disclosing where Rachel's delivering the news affect your receiving of said news?
I don't think Rachel needs to tell us exactly where she is each night. If she wants to anchor from home, and the network execs are OK with it, that's fine. But she tweeted that the technical difficulties were due to a "power outage at the studio." If that's not true, and it was actually because of problems with her webcam or Internet connection at home, then she's lying to her viewers. (And no, I'm not necessarily saying she was lying, but the frozen video sounds more like camera or Internet issues than a studio power outage.)
|by Anonymous||reply 248||04/03/2021|
^^no, that's ABC.
|by Anonymous||reply 249||04/03/2021|
^^ helps to have the thread refreshed before posting. R49 intended for R34
|by Anonymous||reply 250||04/03/2021|
^^fuck me. R249 intended for R234. goodbye.
|by Anonymous||reply 251||04/03/2021|
And no, I'm not necessarily saying she was lying
No, you're just strongly implying it.
|by Anonymous||reply 252||04/03/2021|
R248, "Power outage at the studio" doesn't necessarily mean 30 Rock. When Rachel returned to the airwaves, she joked with Velshi about an errant squirrel knocking a plug out of the wall.
|by Anonymous||reply 253||04/03/2021|
Why does she speak out of one side of her mouth?
|by Anonymous||reply 254||04/04/2021|
Rachel should be fired, along with Joy Reid.
Time to CLEAN HOUSE!
|by Anonymous||reply 255||04/04/2021|
Same thing with Smirky Lemire..
|by Anonymous||reply 256||04/04/2021|
Rachel should be fired
Yeah, fire the most watched show on the network.
|by Anonymous||reply 257||04/04/2021|
R257 Make that the most watched of all cable news shows for first quarter of '21. Even beating out Fucker C. Weirdly though they all lose out to Cuomo in the prime 25-55 demographic.
|by Anonymous||reply 258||04/04/2021|
People are going to think her show isn't really covering anything important if MSNBC can regularly skip 15 minutes of it due to her "frozen camera" issues.
|by Anonymous||reply 259||04/04/2021|
The turd 💩 is back!
|by Anonymous||reply 260||04/05/2021|
Rachel Maddow tonight:
"Infrastructure is a long hard to pronounce word"
and she is a Rhodes Scholar?
|by Anonymous||reply 261||04/05/2021|
One of the few things that bug me about Rachel is her self-effacing routine. She pulls it out a lot whenever complimented, or when bantering with co-hosts. I've heard her refer to herself more than once as "just a potbellied lesbian". I'm not buying it.
|by Anonymous||reply 262||04/05/2021|
She only has two choices, R262.
1) She can be humble and self-deprecating about her achievements, degrees, and honors, or...
2) She can be an obnoxious, braggart blowhard who is constantly tooting her own horn.
I'll take #1.
|by Anonymous||reply 263||04/05/2021|
Dr. Maddow is a gracious interviewer.
I hope one of the extra bills is M4A!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 264||04/05/2021|
R263 She has unlimited choices. One is she can be humble and still acknowledging of her accomplishments and her competence, accepting compliments graciously. Self-deprecating works when it's funny & revealing. Who knows, she may yet get the hang of it, she seems to most everything else.

I thought that his mood would improve once Trump was out of office.
I seriously think that Joe is bipolar.
|by Anonymous||reply 269||04/06/2021|
If I feel I have to watch for some reason Joe and Mika are always on mute. He looks good for his age I guess, the hair esp.
|by Anonymous||reply 270||04/06/2021|
Joe has been remote for years.
If he comes back in the studio, then he can go ballistic about the schools.
|by Anonymous||reply 271||04/06/2021|
I only watch MJ for the commentators some of whom are exclusive to MSNBC. I mute when when Scarface goes on one of his diatribes and Meeka is just a mess from the word GO. Mike Barnacle is always on point and Willie is good too. I consider Kasie Hunt to be a show pony as she usually responds to the interviewee with a 'huh' then goes onto her next talking point w/o engaging further. That is all.
|by Anonymous||reply 272||04/06/2021|
Kasie is a morning joe puppet now.
Soo much better when she was on Sundays, wonder why they switched her to Yasmin & Ayman’s old spot.
|by Anonymous||reply 273||04/06/2021|
Kasie perpetually looks like she's suffering from morning sickness.
|by Anonymous||reply 274||04/06/2021|
Kasie has always been loyal to Morning Joe, R273.
That show basically got her to where she is today.
Before that, Kasie was just an obscure reporter like Vaughn Hillyard. It was her visibility on Morning Joe that raised her profile.
The same could be said of Willie Geist, and many others. Morning Joe (regardless of what you think of Joe) is a really good launching pad for MSNBC reporters.
They're wise to kiss his ass. He has a lot of pull with the network.
Same thing with Smirky Lemire..
Oddly sexy. Was somewhat surprised to learn he is not gay. Anyone know him?
|by Anonymous||reply 276||04/06/2021|
Michael Schmidt has an empty bookcase for a background.
Didn't he get the zoom room memo or is he moving (in or out)?
|by Anonymous||reply 277||04/06/2021|
Soo much better when she was on Sundays, wonder why they switched her to Yasmin & Ayman’s old spot.
Nobody wanted to watch Yasmin acting like a miserable bitch at 5am.
|by Anonymous||reply 278||04/06/2021|
Rachel is on fire tonight with this narrative she's creating about corporations in politics. Feels like the olden, pre-Trump, days! :)
I really cannot watch Morning Joe anymore. I haven't watched since about 2016. Ever since y'all posted that video of Willie Geist piling onto Rosie O along with Trump, them two and their drama, and NOT BEING IN THE STUDIO, I had to stop, although I agree w/ R270 & R275.
LOL R278, yes. I would watch sometimes to see Aymin and UGHH, that hour is the reason I haven't warmed up to her weekend slots. Yasmin & Aymin and Velshi & Ruhle were such forced pairings, I really felt for Aymin and Ali! And I like Stephanie!
|by Anonymous||reply 279||04/06/2021|
R276 I witnessed the on-camera bonding moment when Kornacki & Lemire realized they were both from neighboring counties north of Boston. Lemire is from the city of Lawrence. He seems to still be dining out on his performance at the Helsinki press conference, which was impressive. For some reason I continue to mix up him with the eminently hotter Garrett Haake.
|by Anonymous||reply 280||04/07/2021|
Apparently Michael Schmidt is upset with Roomraters and has refused to put anything on his selves until he can stop Zooming from home.
|by Anonymous||reply 281||04/07/2021|
|by Anonymous||reply 282||04/07/2021|
More importantly, R281, I think Michael may have a hairy chest. I thought I saw a wee bit of hair just over the top of his T-shirt last night.
|by Anonymous||reply 283||04/07/2021|
He's gone all Bauhaus.
|by Anonymous||reply 284||04/07/2021|
That post actually makes me think that Michael has a sense of humor. Having watched him often on TV, I did not get that impression.
|by Anonymous||reply 285||04/07/2021|
That’s Nicolle Wallace’s man.
|by Anonymous||reply 286||04/07/2021|
Tuning in this afternoon at 4pm for Nicolle only to find Chris Jansing is like ordering a Hendrick's martini but getting a Svedka one instead. It's not necessarily the expense of the alcohol involved, and after the first swig, you might be able to force the rest of it down; but its just not what I wanted nor expected, and the more I sip on the Svedka, the more I hate the person that got my Hendrick's
|by Anonymous||reply 287||04/07/2021|
Nicole is busy 'dusting' Michael's book shelves today.
|by Anonymous||reply 288||04/07/2021|
I read Nicolle’s son is autistic.
Is that true?
|by Anonymous||reply 289||04/07/2021|
Are you all looking forward to a day when commentators return to the studio to be there in person in a discussion? Or do you prefer seeing them in their homes?
|by Anonymous||reply 290||04/07/2021|
R287, I don't know anything about gin but I do know that I prefer Jansing to Wallace. And a couple of weeks ago, I preferred Alex Wagner when she was subbing for Wallace. Hmmmm?
|by Anonymous||reply 291||04/07/2021|
Ugh Mike Schmidt has a weasel face and his voice rivals Tiffany Cross'. He wears that same zip neck sweater or knit jacket to death. He was mocked pitilessly on Twitter for it in the past. Schlub.
|by Anonymous||reply 292||04/07/2021|
Jason Johnson is the worst fill-in sub.
|by Anonymous||reply 293||04/07/2021|
Marc Caputo on the Rachel Maddow show....Cut me off a piece of THAT.
|by Anonymous||reply 294||04/07/2021|
What’s Nicole doing with that dweeb? She’s a milf, she could easily get some hot rich DC daddy. Love yourself girl.
|by Anonymous||reply 295||04/07/2021|
Marc caputo can be really sexy and has a great body but he’s married to some dumpy frau. Shame
|by Anonymous||reply 296||04/07/2021|
I agree, R294. Caputo is hot.
|by Anonymous||reply 297||04/07/2021|
^^ Yah, Hot & Chewy.
|by Anonymous||reply 298||04/07/2021|
I am becoming increasingly aggravated with MSNBC.
From Day 1 in 2017, the powers that be at the network INSISTED that everyone call Donald Trump, PRESIDENT Trump. They always used that title when referring to him.
Not so with President Biden.
Everyone, from Joe Scarborough, to Claire McCaskill, to Mika.... I mean EVERYONE keeps calling him "Joe Biden."
WHY CAN'T THEY GIVE HIM THE RESPECT THAT HE'S ENTITLED TO????
He's not just "Joe Biden." He's the President of the United States!!!
If they could make the effort for the WORST person to ever have that title - Donald DUMP - then why can't they do the same for President Biden???
|by Anonymous||reply 299||04/08/2021|
And here I thought I was the only one in love with Marc Caputo! He could use some better styling though these days. Looks like he's let himself go a little during Covid.
|by Anonymous||reply 300||04/08/2021|
R299 - if you think any of those people since 2017 respected Trump more than Biden given what they have been saying and continue to say, you're crazy.
|by Anonymous||reply 301||04/08/2021|
I suspect Joe Biden would prefer that people thought of him as Joe, instead of Mr President.
|by Anonymous||reply 302||04/08/2021|
Indeed, Marc Caputo looks like the kinda guy that would throw a really monumental fuck into you and then, while you were lying there--weeping softly--would draw your bath. Well, a girl can dream, can't she?
|by Anonymous||reply 303||04/08/2021|
R303 you forgot how he would lift you up, carry you into the bathroom and gently lower you into the bubbles...
|by Anonymous||reply 304||04/08/2021|
Paging the Chris Hayes troll, Chris is serving ARMS on Twitter today
|by Anonymous||reply 305||04/08/2021|
R290, I for one am looking forward to a day when we can have round table discussions again and I have mentioned it before. Although, I think everyone is now aware working from home is here to stay in some form....
|by Anonymous||reply 306||04/08/2021|
Did you all see Chris Hayes doing his sexy little "I just got my second vaccine shot" dance today on Instagram? He just played a little bit of it on his show. Very cute and kinda hot!
|by Anonymous||reply 307||04/08/2021|
I like T-shirt Chris Hayes better than suit coat and tie Chris Hayes.
|by Anonymous||reply 308||04/08/2021|
|by Anonymous||reply 309||04/08/2021|
Another night off for Rachel. Does that woman ever work? Sheesh
|by Anonymous||reply 310||04/08/2021|
first time I've seen Liz Plank in ages on Ari's show today
|by Anonymous||reply 311||04/08/2021|
Schmidt is doing this now but it's not just him. I hate when a reporter or a host asks a reporter legal questions especially when there's a lawyer on the panel who is obviously the expert. It looks dumb seeing Schmidt do that with Joyce Vance in the box next to him. I don't know why a lot of hosts ask the reporters any legal questions
|by Anonymous||reply 312||04/08/2021|
But in this instance, r312, wouldn't Schmidt possibly be more informed about all the details of the Gaetz case that are not entirely known to Joyce Vance yet?
|by Anonymous||reply 313||04/08/2021|
Mike Schmidt just said that one of the suspects in the Gaetz case "flaunted" the law by doing some forbidden thing openly. Shouldn't a newspaper reporter know the difference between "flaunt" and "flout"?
Awhile back, Nicolle Wallace repeatedly called an asterisk an "asterick", which doesn't exist, so I guess they deserve each other.
|by Anonymous||reply 314||04/08/2021|
Mike Schmidt looked like he was in some kind of bunker: white walls, white ceiling, white (empty) shelves behind him and a white hazy image.
Contrasted with his black shirt and dark hair, he almost looked creepy.
|by Anonymous||reply 315||04/08/2021|
Lawrence O'Donnell just thanked Nicolle Wallace for covering Rachel Maddow's show "on a night she needed to take off". What did he mean? Car trouble so she couldn't get into work? Bad hair night? Weird thing to say.
|by Anonymous||reply 316||04/08/2021|
Maybe she got her second covid shot? Wouldn’t be surprised to see Chris out tomorrow night. That second shot is ROUGH
|by Anonymous||reply 317||04/08/2021|
I think Nicolle is a dominatrix who keeps Schmidt in a bare room, awaiting her discipline.
|by Anonymous||reply 318||04/08/2021|
Are they out in the open with their relationship or is it still just a rumor at this point?
|by Anonymous||reply 319||04/08/2021|
Put a pompadour on Hayes at R309 and you've got Morning Joe's twin.
|by Anonymous||reply 320||04/08/2021|
Didn’t Liz come out a few years ago?
She is insufferable.
|by Anonymous||reply 321||04/09/2021|
R314 They both say eck cetera.
|by Anonymous||reply 322||04/09/2021|
I didn't know that, R322. A match made in hell!
|by Anonymous||reply 323||04/09/2021|
Big guns on Chris. Thank you for the post, R305. Now he is big and strong enough to whup Gaetz's ass.
|by Anonymous||reply 324||04/09/2021|
Jason Johnson is the worst fill-in sub.
Nay, R293. That slot has been taken over by that Medhi guy. And why he only subs in the evening hours with his Robin Leach [bold]"OY CANNOT MODULATE MOY VOICE!!!!"[/bold] while I'm trying to wind down for the night, is beyond my ken. DLers always slam Ali Velshi for his alleged loudness, but that Medhi guy takes the decibel Olympics. One of the reasons [bold]"OY CANNOT WATCH HIS WEEKEND SHOW!!![/bold]
I actually liked Jason when he filled in for Joshua Johnson a few months ago. I'd hated him until I heard him on Karen Hunter's SiriusXM show. Totally relaxed and funny and really likable, esp when he geeks out on Marvel vs what is it--DC comics, maybe? I don't do comic book movies, but he seemed like an excited puppy wagging its tail. Changed my impression of him.
|by Anonymous||reply 325||04/09/2021|
I think I would quite enjoy pounding Jason Johnson quite a bit. Long enough to see if I could knock his two front teeth back together.
|by Anonymous||reply 326||04/09/2021|
so basically we are not seeing Nikki today?
|by Anonymous||reply 327||04/09/2021|
Shaquille Brewster has been doing a first rate job covering the George Floyd trial.
|by Anonymous||reply 328||04/09/2021|
R328 - Yes he has done a sterling job and he is quite pleasant looking as well.
|by Anonymous||reply 329||04/09/2021|
Don Lemon will be on Joy's show tonight. White people beware!
|by Anonymous||reply 330||04/09/2021|
Shaquille is so cute and very pleasant voice
|by Anonymous||reply 331||04/09/2021|
Who is this other Jon Favreau appearing now on Joy's show? Former Obama speechwriter and so cute!
|by Anonymous||reply 332||04/09/2021|
R332 one of the hosts of Pod Save America with the very cute Tommy Vietor. They’re the stereotypical neo-lib Obama bros but their podcasts can be pretty insightful and entertaining at times

It’s funny how on Fridays Rachel is chatty and happy during the transition with Chris but Monday-Thursday she’s a stone cold bitch to him
|by Anonymous||reply 334||04/09/2021|
Marc Caputo tastes great.
|by Anonymous||reply 335||04/10/2021|
No mention of how the video froze again on Rachel's Friday show?
I had just switched to MSNBC, and all I saw was a frozen video of Rachel's face.
So I changed over to watch something else.
Why does this keep happening? It looks really bad for MSNBC.
|by Anonymous||reply 336||04/10/2021|
And you know this how, R335? Please share.
|by Anonymous||reply 337||04/10/2021|
Who is this gorgeous black gentleman anchoring on MSNBC?
|by Anonymous||reply 338||04/10/2021|
I’ll tell ya this: my background would be luxurious, yet understated, too if I had a contributor contract with MSNBC...
Some of these “contributors” are on this network ALLL day long! They clearly pay well...
|by Anonymous||reply 339||04/11/2021|
Richard Engel on Assignment special tonight on MSNBC at 10 pm Eastern.
Talking about the January 6 insurrectionists.
|by Anonymous||reply 340||04/11/2021|
Tim Miller is dirty hot!
|by Anonymous||reply 341||04/12/2021|
Is Marc Caputo gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 342||04/12/2021|
Marc Caputo, sadly, is not gay.
Does anyone else get a rabidly flirty vibe from Juanita Tolliver in her exchanges with Ari? I can't help but imagine them fucking wildly.
|by Anonymous||reply 343||04/12/2021|
Rachel to Dr. Gupta: Dr. Gupta, thanks for making time to be with us tonight.
Dr. Gupta's inner monologue: Rachel, let's not be cute. My contract with MSNBC is all about making time to be on MSNBC shows. It's not like I'm doing you a personal favor.
|by Anonymous||reply 344||04/12/2021|

|by Anonymous||reply 345||04/13/2021|
holy shit anyone see Nick Confessore on Nicolle's show today? He looked like he'd been on a 5 day bender
|by Anonymous||reply 346||04/13/2021|
Even worse, r344, is when she asks their permission for a commercial break.
|by Anonymous||reply 347||04/13/2021|
Nick’s wife is from a wealthy family. She was married to someone before him & has a daughter that goes to Dalton in NYC.
|by Anonymous||reply 348||04/13/2021|
I heard Joy tonight. She was angry that the Brooklyn Center police officer was not fired but got to resign. She said it allowed the officer to keep her pension and work elsewhere. Honestly, that officer is going no place but to prison and if she was fired without a hearing, she could sue the city. Joy knows that. Then she went on and on about there's no way that anyone could mistake a gun for a taser and it was insulting to suggest that. Has she ever heard of right-left confusion, a brain condition? I'm not saying it happened or that this woman should walk, but it does negate the specific intent needed for Murder One charges. Then she took a shot at the Mayor for cancelling an interview for her show, implying he belonged on air to justify his actions. That's bullshit. He has the national guard and angry mobs in his backyard. That's his top priority.
In short, this isn't AM talk radio. where Joy's job is to work people up so they keep listening or call in. I respect her anger and pain. I think lots of people need those emotions expressed right now. But it's also important to dispassionately explain the law and not work people up ways that exacerbate their very real grievances with modern policing.
|by Anonymous||reply 349||04/13/2021|
Joy has an agenda.
|by Anonymous||reply 350||04/13/2021|
The cop obviously did mistake a gun for a taser. It’s on tape. It may be hard to imagine, but it clearly happened.
|by Anonymous||reply 351||04/13/2021|
What’s wrong with Donnie D?
It seems like he has Parkinson's symptoms.
|by Anonymous||reply 352||04/14/2021|
I don't think people are questioning THAT the officer mistook the gun for the taser.
The issue is why: how that could possibly have happened in the first place when a gun and a taser are very different from each other and they're on different sides of an officer's body.
It's almost a question of what was going on in the officer's head subconsciously while in the situation.
|by Anonymous||reply 353||04/14/2021|
I don't think people are questioning THAT the officer mistook the gun for the taser.
There's no question that she did use the gun instead of the taser. The question is whether she used the gun by mistake or on purpose. It seems unlikely that she would use the gun on purpose under the circumstances (it didn't appear that she was being threatened or provoked into losing her temper), which would mean that it must have been a mistake -- yet that seems almost equally unlikely. According to Sherlock Holmes: “Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.”

Remember NBC's Dr Joseph Fair who "came down with Covid" and pretty much disappeared from NBC and MSNBC? "came down with Covid" in quotation marks because it appears he never had Covid but had some other type of lung infection.
Well when Nicolle Wallace tweeted "We miss @DrLeanaWen on our air but won’t miss her book: twitter.com/DrLeanaWen/sta…"
He replied "She was smart to leave with her reputation intact. I so look forward to her book."
|by Anonymous||reply 364||04/14/2021|
Yeah what happened with Joseph Fair. He was all over NBC and MSNBC in the early days of the pandemic until he claimed that he got covid through his eyeballs
|by Anonymous||reply 365||04/14/2021|
yesss, was wondering what happened to them.
MSNBC goes through contributors like the news cycle. When it was Mueller time, a million lawyers were in tap. Lockdown days of covid, it was the doctors.
|by Anonymous||reply 366||04/14/2021|
Joy, what if that cop was black that shot that black boy?
Would she be acting so aggressive?
She is 100% biased in her show and no longer a journalist. She is a pundit contributor.
|by Anonymous||reply 367||04/14/2021|
Then she'll blame systemic racism for co-opting black cops, R367.
All roads lead to Rome. You know the drill.
|by Anonymous||reply 368||04/14/2021|
Is Dr. Joseph Fair throwing shade at Dr. Leana Wen or at MSNBC in that tweet? What can that be about?
|by Anonymous||reply 369||04/14/2021|
Joy: Potter hasn't apologized. Potter should have been charged with murder because no one believes her story and a Black man would be charged with murder. Manslaughter 2 is meaningless. Guest: Charging will do nothing to calm down the protesters.
How about? She was charged, which is a rarity. What do you need to prove the crime? Why wasn't she charged with murder 3 like Chauvin? Here's who Daunte Wright was. Here's his family. His life mattered.
Just "It's a travesty."
|by Anonymous||reply 370||04/14/2021|
Joy is a broken record.
|by Anonymous||reply 371||04/14/2021|
Unfortunately Joy got Matthews’ slot bc she was black.
|by Anonymous||reply 372||04/14/2021|
No, she was talented and charismatic but she is too much of a partisan on this issue. Or maybe she's reflecting the view of her friends without thinking about how it plays o air.
|by Anonymous||reply 373||04/14/2021|
I kind of miss seeing Zerlina Maxwell, she used to be something of a regular on Deadline WH. I guess I have to try watching her show on the Peacock.
|by Anonymous||reply 374||04/14/2021|
Dr. Wen left MSNBC for CNN...wonder if she gets more airtime there, or gets paid more for the same amount (since she was on MSNBC fairly regularly).
Also, re: Dr. (as in Ph.D.) Fair's snarky tweet, I'm guessing Dr. Wen left with her reputation intact because she wasn't an expert in her field who apparently, essentially, self-diagnosed COVID, and basked in the subsequent attention, even though multiple tests had come back negative.

I want Phillip Mena inside me quite deeply! You just know that he has a big uncut pinga.
|by Anonymous||reply 376||04/15/2021|
I haven’t seen Phillip Mena on the air for at least a year. Are we sure he still works at MSNBC?
|by Anonymous||reply 377||04/15/2021|
IF you want to see Phillip Mena then you are going to have to get up early or DVR because he is on a show called Early Today which may or may not be preempted by your local station's early news programs.
As of 2019, the program broadcasts three unique half hour shows at 3:00, 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. Eastern Time and is then tape delayed in a continuous half-hour loop until 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (the show produces an additional half hour live at 6:30 a.m).
|by Anonymous||reply 378||04/15/2021|
So he’s not on MSNBC then.
|by Anonymous||reply 379||04/15/2021|

|by Anonymous||reply 382||04/15/2021|

BIG dust up between Sean Patrick Maloney and Joe Scarface on MJ this Friday morning. Sean was showing his onions and not falling for Joe's rant about how the Dem's are not doing enough to combat the GQP talking points making the Dem's appear weak. Joe seemed to back down and ended the interview since Sean kept up and didn't fall for Joe's tripe.

Everyone is tried of wearing a mask. And she's 9 months pregnant, so she probably feels miserable and gets irritated by everything. Cut her some slack.
|by Anonymous||reply 388||04/16/2021|
Katy is pregnant again? My God, that woman is a human inca-bator pumping out kids left and right. Her and her husband must play Boink the Kitty constantly! I really like Katy a lot but please enough with being a one person population explosion.
|by Anonymous||reply 389||04/16/2021|
This is only her second kid. After that, the responsible thing to do would be adoption if they want more. But they've also got the husband's 2 boys, which ought to be a big enough family for anyone.

|by Anonymous||reply 396||04/16/2021|
I want Tony Dokoupil to im pregnate me!
|by Anonymous||reply 397||04/16/2021|
Phil Rucker needs to teach that mutt Axel some manners. That’s no way to behave when daddy is working from his stylish second floor apartment!
|by Anonymous||reply 398||04/17/2021|
Mutts need discipline much like children do.
|by Anonymous||reply 399||04/17/2021|
R397 Is Tony putting on a little baby weight, he looked somehow different in the face last time I watched. Still a fine looking papa.
|by Anonymous||reply 400||04/17/2021|
Medhi Hasan is a growing star at MSNBC. They really seem to like him.
Wouldn't be surprised if he gets his own week day show at some point too.
|by Anonymous||reply 401||04/17/2021|
What happened on The 11th Hour last night? They had the first two segments, and they repeated them for some reason, and then went on with the rest of the show, ending well past the hour. I was sipping a margarita at the the time, but this wasn't the alcohol.
|by Anonymous||reply 402||04/17/2021|
R402, I recorded Fri night's show and just watched the recording, which was fine -- no segments were repeated and the show was completed within an hour. Maybe you should check how strong your tequila is?
|by Anonymous||reply 403||04/17/2021|
What happened on The 11th Hour last night? They had the first two segments, and they repeated them for some reason, and then went on with the rest of the show, ending well past the hour.
I wonder if the error was with your cable provider, not with MSNBC. Or, as R403 suggested, maybe it was the tequila.
|by Anonymous||reply 404||04/18/2021|
r401, I would not be surprised that there is a glacial move to remove ALL white men from MSNBC.
Medi would be a great replacement for Chuck Turd.
|by Anonymous||reply 405||04/18/2021|
The animated version of Superman’s woman, Reporter Lois Lane, would make a great replacement for Chucky Doll.
|by Anonymous||reply 406||04/18/2021|
Kristen Welker should get a show. She’s underutilized. She knows the White House just as well as Nicolle Wallace does, or Kasie Hunt knows Capitol Hill.
|by Anonymous||reply 407||04/18/2021|
I'd rather see the great Kristen Welker as a force out on the road and at the WH. Sitting behind an anchor's desk is a waste of her talents. That said, I wish she was a nightly contributor to Chris Hayes, reporting from the WH lawn like Jim Acosta does with Anderson Cooper most nights.
|by Anonymous||reply 408||04/18/2021|
^^ Yes. Kristen Welker really belongs in every WH press briefing. If she wants to be there of course.
|by Anonymous||reply 409||04/19/2021|
Marc Caputo on with Ari
|by Anonymous||reply 410||04/19/2021|
Just heard Nicolle say "I felt a pit in my stomach." As opposed to "I felt it in the pit of my stomach." Second time I've heard that variation on cable this week. Maybe it's more common than I thought.
|by Anonymous||reply 411||04/19/2021|
You can have pits in the pit of your stomach. It is cherry season.
|by Anonymous||reply 412||04/19/2021|
I can only assume that Kristen Welker doesn't want her own show.
Which is a good thing, because it means she isn't a fame whore, and is totally dedicated to her job at the White House.
You have to admit, it is a pretty exciting place to work. Especially when there are big things going down.
It's impressive, that she's only one of a very few reporters during the Trump era, who he actually respected. He would call on her during press conferences, and give her actual answers.
That's the mark of a true pro. If you can tame the Trump, you can take on any interview.
|by Anonymous||reply 413||04/19/2021|
Trump also respected Phil, until the book came out. And Jonathan Swan, even while he was being eviscerated in their ono-on-one.
|by Anonymous||reply 414||04/19/2021|
Ono is the Aussie diminutive for Jonathan.
|by Anonymous||reply 415||04/19/2021|
Just heard Nicolle say "I felt a pit in my stomach." As opposed to "I felt it in the pit of my stomach." Second time I've heard that variation on cable this week. Maybe it's more common than I thought.
R411, I had the very same reaction and quickly mentally ran through "a knot in my stomach" or "a knot in the pit of my stomach" or "a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach" and found myself wondering if in her haste, or while under pressure, she just jumbled things a bit. I also wondered if it could be a regional thing. Then I snapped out of it and went back to eating my lunch. 😄
|by Anonymous||reply 416||04/19/2021|
R416 Yes, these considerations are more of a distraction for me. One that I'm struggling to ignore seems to have come out of nowhere, very popular with CNN hosts, is the expression "We appreciate you."
Being here? Joining us? Sharing your opinion? We appreciate you What?
Now I can go back to Brian Williams and my vodka greyhound.
|by Anonymous||reply 417||04/19/2021|
Nicolle ousted! Brian takes over.
|by Anonymous||reply 418||04/20/2021|
Cheer the fuck up Jason Johnson! God, he’s such a Debbie Downer.
|by Anonymous||reply 419||04/20/2021|
Jason Johnson is the worst.
|by Anonymous||reply 420||04/20/2021|
Why the hell did MSNBC bring him back after suspending him? He is a racist jerk.
|by Anonymous||reply 421||04/20/2021|
LOL the moment they brought out Jason Johnson to comment, I thought to myself, 'He'll find a way to say he isn't satisfied even by this verdict, and that it won't do any good.'
Happy to say my expectations were exceeded.
|by Anonymous||reply 422||04/20/2021|
r422, the funny thing is that everyone else in a nice way told Jason to cheer the fuck up. lol
|by Anonymous||reply 423||04/20/2021|
Jason Johnson + Jake Sherman = Turds 💩
|by Anonymous||reply 424||04/20/2021|
Jesus Christ! Jason Johnson is such a drama queen. He needs a real good fuck.
|by Anonymous||reply 425||04/20/2021|

He would probably complain about that too.
|by Anonymous||reply 426||04/20/2021|
I'm not volunteering for that duty, R425. More power to you.
|by Anonymous||reply 427||04/20/2021|
^^Idk, despite his ridiculous on-camera posturing & pontificating, he looks like he might be sloppy fun in bed.
|by Anonymous||reply 428||04/20/2021|
Who is worse—Joy or Jason?
|by Anonymous||reply 429||04/21/2021|
|by Anonymous||reply 430||04/21/2021|
Jason IS a bit much...
|by Anonymous||reply 431||04/21/2021|
I’m so glad to see my girl Angela Rye on MSNBC tho!
I thought these networks had exclusivity clauses....
|by Anonymous||reply 432||04/21/2021|
Andrea Mitchell needs to be put out to pasture. I know MSNBC thinks nobody is watching her noon hour, but some people don’t are and don’t want to see a senile Republican shill like her.
|by Anonymous||reply 433||04/21/2021|
As bad as Joy can be, Jason is much worse.
|by Anonymous||reply 434||04/21/2021|
Where's Anne Gearan been? I liked when she'd come on in her leathers, all untamed-like. She and Phil are chums, I think.
|by Anonymous||reply 435||04/21/2021|
Whenever Ashley Parker’s name is announced by any anchor on MSNBC, she breaks into this huge toothy grin, from ear to ear , and holds that phony smile as the rest of the panel is introduced. It is often inappropriate-especially when the topic is serious or depressing.
Phil Rucker does the same but he knows enough to lay off when the story is heavy. Not Ashley.
Someone at the Post must have told the two of them to do this.
|by Anonymous||reply 436||04/21/2021|
I think Ashley was told that her resting face looks like she just lost her best friend, so she smiles to indicate that she's fine and glad to be there. She does occasionally smile spontaneously, and the smile itself looks natural, and not unlike her deliberate smile. I cut her some slack, if she really broadened her smile to display her lower teeth, as so many on-air types do, then I'd call it fake.
|by Anonymous||reply 437||04/21/2021|
Andrea at 12 noon has more viewers than asshole Melvin at11. Good!!!I cannot stand Melvin. Pompous asshole.
|by Anonymous||reply 438||04/21/2021|
How dare that uppity Negro r438........
|by Anonymous||reply 439||04/21/2021|
Pompous maybe, but with a smirk I would like to experience as I lick his hairy hole.
|by Anonymous||reply 440||04/21/2021|
Joe is full-on Trumper again.
|by Anonymous||reply 441||04/22/2021|
Whenever Ashley Parker or Michelle Goldberg are announced to appear, I pay attention. Love hearing what each of those ladies have to say.
|by Anonymous||reply 442||04/22/2021|
When serious, Ashley can look rather plain. When she grins, she exudes a sexy impudence. Instantly, attractive.
|by Anonymous||reply 443||04/22/2021|
Ashley is a great reporter and also has an unfortunate case of RBF (resting bitch face). I hate myself for saying "she should smile more" because it sounds so condescending and sexist when you look at history. But I also have criticisms of men too. Lawrence O'Donnell's makeup man/woman makes him look embalmed.
|by Anonymous||reply 444||04/22/2021|
The race baiting that msnbc is doing this week is driving me fucking insane. I just wanted to say that.
Jjoy and Jason- no. Joshua johnson YES! I loved him on 1a and still do. They need to promote him more. I remember he did the duo covid show with the older blonde woman--i loved those.
|by Anonymous||reply 445||04/22/2021|
Joshua and Alicia seem to have some chemistry. They need to degrease his nose more frequently, it's sometimes distracting.
|by Anonymous||reply 446||04/22/2021|
Nicolle is having trouble with that throat today.
Maybe she & mikey had fun last night.
|by Anonymous||reply 447||04/22/2021|
I can't believe the number of times MSNBC has had some guest they are interviewing from home and their smoke detector is beeping because of a low battery. That is the most annoying sound in the world, how do they stand it. I think Nicole Wallace's smoke detector was beeping one day and I had to change the channel it was just too damn annoying.
|by Anonymous||reply 448||04/22/2021|
Yes R448, the smoke detector beeps are out of control on MSNBC. That sound is like nails on a chalkboard. I can't take any guest seriously who is too lazy to change a 9 volt battery. You know that didn't just start beeping today...they've probably been ignoring it for weeks.
|by Anonymous||reply 449||04/22/2021|
Rachel Maddow is on fire tonight!
|by Anonymous||reply 450||04/22/2021|
It’s time they get back in the studio. If they cry about the schools one more time not being open, can’t take them seriously if they are broadcasting from the basement.
|by Anonymous||reply 451||04/22/2021|
Jake Ward is so sexy. He has BDE. I love when he shows up on my screen. Pretty sure he isn’t gay though....
|by Anonymous||reply 452||04/23/2021|
Yesterday Nicolle let on that she and her guest Brad Paisley (superstar) had a past - but teased revealing the details until his next visit. He didn't seem as eager to share.
|by Anonymous||reply 453||04/23/2021|
Wikipedia says that Paisley has been married since 2003, so their past must have been a long time ago -- unless she's a slut and he's a heel.
|by Anonymous||reply 454||04/23/2021|
Just because she always wears black does not mean Rachel must always be doom and gloom. But, I guess it is what her fans want since her show is popular. She is very bright but I just feel she often takes herself way too seriously. But hell, I still watch her every night so go figure.
|by Anonymous||reply 455||04/23/2021|
R455 She can be lighthearted and funny. She certainly was last night.
|by Anonymous||reply 456||04/23/2021|
Rachel was hilarious talking about pantyhose last night.
|by Anonymous||reply 457||04/23/2021|
Her hair has looked great the past two nights. Very poofy.
|by Anonymous||reply 458||04/23/2021|
R455 Rachel always makes fun of herself. How is that taking herself too seriously?
|by Anonymous||reply 459||04/23/2021|
I'd love to see Rachel host SNL. I honestly think she would be great.
|by Anonymous||reply 460||04/23/2021|
Rachel could be the Guest Headwriter.
She could greenlight the sketches.
She could do Weekend Update.
Like Meyers and Jost.
|by Anonymous||reply 461||04/23/2021|
Does Rachel ever wear wigs?
|by Anonymous||reply 462||04/23/2021|
I should have some examples, but I don't, Rachel's analogies are lame. Not as lame as John Oliver's, whose border on cringe inducing. Rachel's are more like what you expect from someone twice her age. Maybe it's endearing in her case.
|by Anonymous||reply 463||04/23/2021|
Way back when Rachel first started I wasn't much of a fan due to her long, drawn out story telling when covering a current topic. Over the years I have warmed up to her especially when she was a guest on Late Night w/Steven Colbert (pre-COVID). She was very engaging and quite entertaining which is a side I hadn't seen when viewing her show. I now realize she is one of the best on MSNBC and I don't watch her on a regular basis I do catch some of her more memorable segments on Youtube.
|by Anonymous||reply 464||04/24/2021|
I like Kristen Walker, but why tell your surrogate story?
Andrea can barely articulate on a normal day & she was a crying mess.
|by Anonymous||reply 465||04/24/2021|
joy is awful if you are a white person.
if you aren’t black, she will make you beg for forgiveness.
|by Anonymous||reply 466||04/25/2021|
It’s a good thing to get a Black perspective on the news.
|by Anonymous||reply 467||04/26/2021|
I agree about getting a black perspective on news and politics. So many great WOC journalists, writers,and contributors.
Joy Reid has lost all ability to explore issues in depth. She is all woke sister, 24/7. I almost expect her to give 2 snaps in the air. Joy is becoming the woke Hannity.
|by Anonymous||reply 468||04/26/2021|
let me guess, Joy will host Jason Johnson tonight.
watch them go batshit crazy.
|by Anonymous||reply 469||04/26/2021|
It is a shame that MSNBC apparently thinks Joy is the answer for the network to appeal to minorities. I don't think the network would be able to dump her now without a huge backlash. Now it can and should kick Jason Johnson's fat ass to the curb once and for all. He has no credibility.
|by Anonymous||reply 470||04/26/2021|
Chris’ show is a technical mess tonight
It’s time for them all to get back in the studio
|by Anonymous||reply 471||04/26/2021|
if these assholes can take a vacation, come back to rockcenter!
starting with joe “open the schools” scarborough.
|by Anonymous||reply 472||04/26/2021|
The technical issue was also a thing on Morning Joe this morning when one of the guests was asked a long question about foreign affairs, and he proceeded to talk with the sound not working. So they immediately had to go to Ian Bremmer and basically said, well how about you answering that question.
In fact while I was waiting for the show to start, I watched the tail end of Way Too Early, and as Kasie Hunt was talking with Hans Nichols, one of his lights popped off, and he ended up looking like a character in a thriller.
|by Anonymous||reply 473||04/26/2021|
On one of the weekend shows, while a guest was being interviewed, a Zoom message popped up on the screen that someone had entered the Zoom waiting room and asking whether or not they should be admitted. The message stayed on the screen throughout the interview.
|by Anonymous||reply 474||04/26/2021|
MSNBC must have told their hosts that they have to start broadcasting from the studios instead of home. Rachel Maddow said last night that she had come into her office for the first time since last March and this morning on Morning Joe Mika and Joe and sitting next together instead of being on separate cameras so they are at least in the same room if not in the main studio.
|by Anonymous||reply 475||04/27/2021|
Yesterday Mika did say they were returning to the studio today, although because of the way they were over lit, it looked like they were on a game show.
|by Anonymous||reply 476||04/27/2021|
Willie has been back in the studio for a while-about time Joe & Mika did.
Now get Nicolle, Ari & co back in studio full time.
It’s getting to be ridiculous, like a year long vacation.
|by Anonymous||reply 477||04/27/2021|
. Her and her husband must play Boink the Kitty constantly! R389
|by Anonymous||reply 478||04/27/2021|
Nicolle has a kid that may still be remote, so maybe that’s why she is not back?
No reason why Brian Williams-Chief Anchor is not back @ 30 Rock!
|by Anonymous||reply 479||04/27/2021|
Where is Ari if not in the studio? He doesn't look like he's in his home.
|by Anonymous||reply 480||04/27/2021|
Ari is so beautiful.
|by Anonymous||reply 481||04/27/2021|
Think Ari is in DC.
He looks soo much better in the studio then remote.
Loves to flirt w/ Juanita.
|by Anonymous||reply 482||04/27/2021|
Ari was married to a white girl, but think a black girl is in his future-he seems like he would be a good boyfriend/husband.
|by Anonymous||reply 483||04/27/2021|
I really don't care one way or the other if they are in the studio as long as they are doing their jobs. I do miss seeing them all sit around a table but I doubt that is going to happen in the near future.
|by Anonymous||reply 484||04/27/2021|
Ari is a flirt. A big one. He can really turn on the charm. Very handsome with a delightful smile. I really enjoyed his show during the Mueller investigation and the impeachment trials. He is at his best discussing legal matters with other attorneys, explains things simply and thoroughly.
I do wish he would leave his rap references to the Fallback Friday segments. Somewhat jarring and unserious to hear him try to relate a rap line to a political situation. Cringe worthy at times. I think he would be very happy with a talk show, flitting from music, to films, comedy, culture evolution and interviews.
|by Anonymous||reply 485||04/27/2021|
Ewww, Mika kissing Joe’s ass today that he was always right about masks.
These 2 are getting to be soo fucking gross.
|by Anonymous||reply 486||04/28/2021|
Kasie Hunt is attractive and anchors well the early morning show in terms for format, coverage, and questions in guest interviews. However, her voice is annoying. She can't help that really, but the screeching and the heavy dimension of her tone is not comforting.
|by Anonymous||reply 487||04/28/2021|
Kasie seems in a bad position since taking the 5am slot.
Like she has to agree w/ Mika & Joe all the time.
|by Anonymous||reply 488||04/28/2021|
The rap lines are just force fed into the discussion. They rarely illuminate the point he’s making.
|by Anonymous||reply 489||04/28/2021|
Nicolle is all over this Giuliani shit.
|by Anonymous||reply 490||04/28/2021|
It got a bit awkward for Michelle talking about helping to write GWB’s “Bring Democracy to the World” speech attempting to justify the Iraq War. Best not bring that up, Dear.
|by Anonymous||reply 491||04/28/2021|
^I meant Nicolle.
|by Anonymous||reply 492||04/28/2021|
Joe is starting to get on my last nerve again. Now that Biden is in office, he has started back on his Republican attitude crap.
|by Anonymous||reply 493||04/28/2021|
Especially since George W. Bush did not vote for Biden, her wrote in a candidate.
He is not our friend no matter how Nicolle & Jenna try to humanize him & Laura.
|by Anonymous||reply 494||04/28/2021|
Chris Hayes has been given the old heave-ho once again tonight.
|by Anonymous||reply 495||04/28/2021|
Rachel's hair is looking fab tonight!
|by Anonymous||reply 496||04/28/2021|
I like seeing Rachel and Nicole together. Joy usually behaves herself when she is with these two colleagues.
|by Anonymous||reply 497||04/28/2021|
Chris Hayes has been given the old heave-ho once again tonight.
He must be pissed. Joy Reid got to do her regular "Reid Out" show at 7, then join Rachel, Nicolle and Brian at 8 for coverage of Biden's speech, even though Chris is the usual 8:00 host. It looks like Chris will always be shut out of special coverage and breaking news. Chris doesn't get to be with the "cool kids."
I've noticed, too, that lately Chris keeps bragging about himself on his show, saying things like "As someone who's been covering politics for many years ...." "As someone who has reported on this story ...," as if he's been feeling slighted and feels the need to remind himself and his viewers that what he does matters.
|by Anonymous||reply 498||04/28/2021|
R498 He runs third behind Anderson Cooper and Tucker Carlson. MSNBC knows who brings in the big numbers.
|by Anonymous||reply 499||04/28/2021|
Chris Hayes is not primetime material.
|by Anonymous||reply 500||04/28/2021|
Steve Kornacki!! I feel like I haven't seen him in months.
|by Anonymous||reply 501||04/28/2021|
That speech has caused Rachel Maddow's hair to curl on the left side.
|by Anonymous||reply 502||04/28/2021|
Last night Chris said he would be part of tonight's post-Address panel; I think Lawrence will join them as well.
|by Anonymous||reply 503||04/28/2021|
Joy went off on Tim Scott for not giving the speech she wanted to hear, completely missing the point that he was speaking for his party, not for himself. Lawrence and Nicolle had to spell it out for her.
|by Anonymous||reply 504||04/28/2021|
Joy needs to go.
|by Anonymous||reply 505||04/29/2021|
Did you catch the pre-Address interview with Transportation Secretary Buttigieg? Lazy Joy asked him if she could call him Secretary Pete and, of course, he said "yes." Following that exchange, both Rachel and Nicolle pointedly referred to him as "Mr. Secretary" at every opportunity, distancing themselves from their clueless co-moderator.
And who made Joy Reid the arbiter of political fashion taste? She, of the inappropriate, ill-fitting on-air attire, has the nerve to critique what Vice President Harris, Speaker Pelosi and First Lady Biden were wearing? Awwwkkk!
(I say I won't watch her, but can't look away from the train wreck.)
|by Anonymous||reply 506||04/29/2021|
I noticed that LIVE wasn't at the bottom of the screen this week on Morning Joe.
|by Anonymous||reply 507||04/29/2021|
r505, wishful thinking you racist bitch!
|by Anonymous||reply 508||04/29/2021|
Jake Sherman 💩
|by Anonymous||reply 509||04/29/2021|
Just curious, what is the issue with Jake Sherman. I do find him arrogant.
|by Anonymous||reply 510||04/29/2021|
Joy only gushed compliments at the fashions of Dr. Jill and Kamala so I don't know what r506 is going on about.
And she was actually kinda cute and flirty with Pete. Hardly condescending.
|by Anonymous||reply 511||04/29/2021|
Jake is an “access” journalist who is negative towards the democrats and pits against the republicans. Nicolle basically ignored his commentary today.
|by Anonymous||reply 512||04/29/2021|
r506 hates black women journalists.
|by Anonymous||reply 513||04/29/2021|
Joy is not a "journalist". Her entire show is opinion...hers.
|by Anonymous||reply 514||04/29/2021|
R513: You say I hate Black women journalists. Come to school, son/daughter.
The following are a handful of those who are/were pioneering Black women journalists in the true sense of the profession (from memory and just off the top of my head):
Gwen Ifill, Melba Tolliver, Sue Simmons. Flo Kennedy, Bev Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Carol Martin, Janet McLaughlin, and countless other women who made their marks on-screen. Their equivalents in the print medium and in radio are as praiseworthy.
I've known and long admired these women, and Joy Reid fails on every level in fulfilling and continuing their collective legacy.
|by Anonymous||reply 515||04/29/2021|
Bullshit, R514. Joy's show is no different than Rachel's, Nicole's, Chris's, Lawrence's and all the rest. She does exactly the same thing they do, day after day, night after night. Unlike them, she just happens to do it while black, which is the only thing you object to.
|by Anonymous||reply 516||04/29/2021|
I have a big crush on NY Times reporter Ken Vogel, who is on with Stephanie this morning. Those dimples! Might he be gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 517||04/30/2021|
Jason Johnson subbing for Joy last night. Poor Joy - she was leaving 30 Rock in the early am w/pals Nicolle, Rachel and Brian after hosting the Biden speech analysis when she accidentally leaned back against the elevator doors as they were closing. Rumor has it that her Shirley Temple wiglet was snatched off by the closing doors and ended up going all the way down to the basement! Needless to say Joy was in a spin - or so it was alledgedly reported.
Don't be surprised if Joy shows up Friday wearing one of those Ava Gabor 'Grab-n-Go' wigs that were all the rage back in the 70's. Joy would really be wise to have a backup wig (or 3) should another calamity befall her.
|by Anonymous||reply 518||04/30/2021|
If Joy’s wig really got snatched... she’ll have to go back to one of these stylish looks:
|by Anonymous||reply 519||04/30/2021|
R519 - God I hope not! Those hair don'ts are just not attractive - on any woman of color. Braided extension cords or Basket of Snakes hair 'styles' are just not stylish - at all. Many women of color choose these looks because they are considered 'ethnic' but very few can pull off this look w/o looking ridiculous. I think the natural Afro style is much more flattering to so many instead of the knotted up clothesline mess that is so prevalent today.

Crunching those sports numbers must have been a serious promotion for Kornacki. He’s at the Kentucky Derby with his khakis at a big board.
While I would love the promotion the sports would bore the hell out of me.....
|by Anonymous||reply 524||05/01/2021|
From what I've read Kornacki is a big sports nut, so he probably loves it.
|by Anonymous||reply 525||05/01/2021|
He’s at the Kentucky Derby with his khakis at a big board.
Unless he has a big boner in his khakis at the big board, I’m not interested.

Mehdi's got his own Sunday night show now.
|by Anonymous||reply 527||05/02/2021|
Love a little Steve Kornacki.
Maybe Leslie Jones saw her boo.
|by Anonymous||reply 528||05/02/2021|
I think Mehdi is hot! I bet he'd be a lot of fun in the sack.
|by Anonymous||reply 529||05/02/2021|
Mehdi is physically quite attractive but he does have a bit of that Islamic misogyny going on. Some of his tweets regarding VP Kamala Harris during the 2020 presidential campaign wasn't cool at all.
|by Anonymous||reply 530||05/02/2021|
mehdi is not a feminist straight girl’s friend.
|by Anonymous||reply 531||05/02/2021|
Could Mehdi be gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 532||05/02/2021|
I feel that Leigh Ann Caldwell is trying very very hard to keep her vocal fry in check but that basic white girl wants OUT
|by Anonymous||reply 533||05/03/2021|
Michael Steele cursing on Nicolle’s show!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 534||05/03/2021|
Rachel is not in 30 Rock, she is broadcasting from a remote studio.
|by Anonymous||reply 535||05/03/2021|
Attorney Andrew Weismann....does he live in a museum?
|by Anonymous||reply 536||05/03/2021|
Any dish on Andrew Weissmann? Gay? Straight?
|by Anonymous||reply 537||05/03/2021|
Supposedly, straight, married and with children, hard as it is to believe, r537.
|by Anonymous||reply 538||05/04/2021|
the turd 💩 Jake Sherman is back with Nicolle.
|by Anonymous||reply 539||05/04/2021|
Is Jake keeping his raging mouth herpes under control, or is he sporting another cold sore?
|by Anonymous||reply 540||05/04/2021|
Nicolle screamed at Jake—can she get this fucking loser off of the panel.
Oh and Tim Miller is hot & 100x better than that turd, Jake.
|by Anonymous||reply 541||05/04/2021|
Why do we never discuss Michele Goldberg (NY Times reporter and talking head)? I adore her. With her Louise Brooks bob she seems like the perfect fag hag and I mean that in the best way.
|by Anonymous||reply 542||05/04/2021|
R542 Wig or not?
|by Anonymous||reply 543||05/04/2021|
I don't think so!
Oh god, I just love her. Watching her now with Joy though she usually appears with the guys: Ari, Lawrence and Brian.
|by Anonymous||reply 544||05/04/2021|
Oh and Tim Miller is hot
|by Anonymous||reply 545||05/04/2021|
I wouldn't say hot, but Tim Miller actually has a very classically handsome face and could look quite wonderful with a little styling.
|by Anonymous||reply 546||05/04/2021|
Love Tim Miller’s dirty hot look.
|by Anonymous||reply 547||05/04/2021|
Tim Miller used to be more conventionally dressed and styled. I think he looks better now.
|by Anonymous||reply 548||05/04/2021|
Tim Miller is a log cabin Republican. He’s dedicated his life to getting republicans elected. He’s trash and I’m tired of liberals holding him up as some sort of hero
|by Anonymous||reply 549||05/04/2021|
Tim Miller is a log cabin Republican. He’s dedicated his life to getting republicans elected.
He also worked on behalf of Facebook to discredit Facebook's critics by trying to link them to the GOP's favorite boogeyman -- George Soros.
|by Anonymous||reply 550||05/04/2021|
Michele Goldberg has big boobies!
|by Anonymous||reply 551||05/04/2021|
I take back my assessment of Tim's looks.
|by Anonymous||reply 552||05/04/2021|
Tim looks better with the top knot/ponytail/looks like he is dirty/yet clean look.
|by Anonymous||reply 553||05/04/2021|
Tim Miller looks best with a bag over that face.
|by Anonymous||reply 554||05/05/2021|
Agree r554! Plus, whenever Tim Miller shows up on my TV screen, I have to spray my place down with my air freshener.
|by Anonymous||reply 555||05/05/2021|
I want to see Ben Collins’ enormous brown eyes roll back when he’s getting rimmed
|by Anonymous||reply 556||05/05/2021|
Dear God in Heaven..all Andrew Weissmann needs is a turban, and he'd be ready to go on for Patti Lupone in Sunset. I can only assume that turtleneck is to hide a gigantic hicky he received from Eric Swalwell during a belated celebration when Amy Berman Jackson ordered the unsealing of Bill Barr's love note to Cheetoh Hitler.
|by Anonymous||reply 557||05/05/2021|
Yikes! I'm watching "All In," and Chris is interviewing a guy named Gregg Gonsalves who looks and moves like an age-progression CGI of Michael Schmidt, down to the black shirt. He even sounds like Schmidt!
|by Anonymous||reply 558||05/05/2021|
Gregg Gonsalves, the ACT UP activist from the 1980s? Why was he on Chris' show/
|by Anonymous||reply 559||05/05/2021|
Ari’s teleprompter is not working-
Get these guys back in the studio!
|by Anonymous||reply 560||05/06/2021|
Interesting that Mehdi Hasan is featured in the new msnbc commercials. They’re pushing him hard. I bet they like he has such a huge online presence and a lot of clips from his show get millions of views. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get his own daily show moved from peacock to msnbc. Maybe the Msnbc brass is as tired of two hours of Nicole as the viewers are.
|by Anonymous||reply 561||05/06/2021|
Nicole (sic) is probably tired of two hours of Nicole (sic).
|by Anonymous||reply 562||05/06/2021|
Cable news ratings have been tanking for months now. I’m sure msnbc is looking to freshen things up. They really need to get them back in the studios (they’re all fully vaccinated and have been for awhile) and hire some new commentators. It’s time for Miss Maddow to leave her MA cabin and get her ass into work for her $10 million a year paycheck. And I am TIRED of people like Michael Steele, Eddie Glaude, Jason Johnson, Claire McCaskill, Donna Edwards, etc. They need some new blood.

Surprise, surprise...Rachel having technical difficulties.
|by Anonymous||reply 564||05/06/2021|
Apparently this thread has been paywalled. A Part 24 has already been started. The posters there are asking that paying members still posting here migrate over to the new thread...
|by Anonymous||reply 565||05/06/2021|
Rachel opened the show by saying they were having technical difficulties, but it didn't seem there were any during the program itself.
|by Anonymous||reply 566||05/07/2021|
R566 She began her show two minutes late. She's not in NYC.
|by Anonymous||reply 567||05/07/2021|
