NYC man who breached US Capitol is son of prominent Brooklyn judge

A New York City man who breached the US Capitol building wearing a bizarre fur costume is the son of a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge, according to a report Thursday.

Aaron Mostofsky, who told the Post Wednesday he’d come to protest a “stolen election,” was holding a police riot shield as a mob of rioters swarmed the building Wednesday.

Mostofsky is the son of Shlomo Mostofsky, a prominent figure in the Orthodox Jewish community, elected to the court last January, according to Gothamist.

On Wednesday Aaron Mostofsky told The Post, “We were cheated. I don’t think 75 million people voted for Trump — I think it was close to 85 million.I think certain states that have been red for a long time turned blue and were stolen, like New York.”

Shlomo Mostofsky couldn’t immediately be reached for comment Thursday.

But his sibling, Nachman Mostofsky, told the outlet, “My brother did nothing illegal…He definitely was not part of the riot.”

It blows my mind that the current conversation is "they should be arrested" and "they need to be found" and "can you help identify these people?". Like, these things wouldn't even be said if the police had done the job they are meant to do. It's bizarre!

Texas lawyer fired after livestreaming effort to storm Capitol

An insurance company lawyer from North Texas has been fired after posting video of himself wearing a MAGA hat and attempting to breach the Capitol building with other rioters.

“Got tear gassed today. That was quite an experience,” he complains in the Instagram video, uncovered by Roger Sollenberger, an Austin-based reporter at Salon.com.

“All we’re doing is demanding that our public officials audit the vote,” he continues.

“Audit the Dominion machines, audit the ballots,” he says, repeating fraud claims that have been discredited by state election officials and judges in more than 50 court challenges.

Sollenberger identified Paul M. Davis as an associate general counsel and director of human resources at Goosehead Insurance, based in Westlake, Texas.

The insurance company tweeted Thursday morning that Davis is no longer employed there.

“If this was a legitimate election, they’ll let us inspect it, and if Biden won, let’s all go on with out lives,” Davis says in his video, which was posted to his Instagram account.

“We’re all trying to get into the Capitol to stop this, and this is what’s happening,” he says, panning his cellphone camera to show he is standing with other protesters and cops in riot gear just outside the building.

US Capitol rioter fired from job at Maryland marketing firm

A US Capital building rioter was fired from his job at a Maryland marketing firm after he wore a company badge while he stormed the building, the firm said.

The unnamed invader — who was captured in a photo with the Navistar Direct Marketing badge around his neck — was canned over the “dangerous conduct” after breaching the building, the firm said Wednesday.

“After review of the photographic evidence the employee in question has been terminated for cause,” the firm said in a statement posted on Facebook.
