Anyone else in the UK watching this? Dicks galore, young gay guys making out. It has a This Life vibe and is directed by Ms Fug, Lena Dunham.
INDUSTRY - BBC Drama set in the City with Full Frontal Nudity and Gay Characters

First episode, nice gratuitous shot of a young guy looking at himself naked in a mirror at the gym. Everyone doing drugs. Young Asian guy stays up for 100 hours straight and dies from an accidental overdose in a bathroom stall. Or possibly commits suicide because he got the font on a presentation wrong.

Lots of gay sex
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 27, 2020 12:47 AM |
It's on HBO?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 27, 2020 12:49 AM |
It's on BBC2 in the UK
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 27, 2020 1:40 AM |
Anyone watching? William Tudor is in it.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 27, 2020 12:58 PM |
Only the first ep was directed by Dunham.
The remaining episodes (4-8) have all made their way to pirate sites today.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 27, 2020 1:02 PM |
They should all be released on the BBC iplayer but only three were there last night.
Did the guy in Episode 1 kill himself or just overdose accidentally from all the pills? And what's this K drug they all do? Coke? Surely not Ketamine, you couldn't work on that.

While OP was chomping down her stale turkey....
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 27, 2020 1:05 PM |
As Fleabag proves, you don't want to see most British TV actors naked.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 27, 2020 1:09 PM |
OP, have you never seen a penis other than your own?

R1, Why is a hetero giving scene by scene replays and speculation? Focus less on starting DL rhetoric threads and more on buying formula for your newborn. You have to feed them daily.

It kind of reminds me of a show in the late 80s possibly early 90s called Capital City I think. It was about investment bankers. And I seem to remember lots of sex and drugs in that. That is about all I remember from it though.

R7, he seemed to be popping various things but I think it is implied that his death is accidental due to a heart defect which the various drugs, energy drinks and lack of sleep caused him to have a heart attack or similar. We hear his supervisor say it was a hereditary defect or something along those lines.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 27, 2020 1:21 PM |
OP - I just checked and nobody is watching this in the UK, or elsewhere.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 27, 2020 1:27 PM |
The full frontal nudity is clearing those prosthetic dicks, don’t look real at all. The rest of it isn’t really worth watching.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 27, 2020 1:41 PM |
They're not prosthetics, R14. That's not a thing outside the US and it's a British-made show.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 27, 2020 3:37 PM |
I tried to search for said dicks and young men making out but came up with nothing
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 27, 2020 3:43 PM |
R16, episodes 1, 2 and 3 so far. That is all that has aired as yet.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 27, 2020 4:18 PM |
Pics plz
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 27, 2020 4:20 PM |
The other thread is boring as fuck. Just people slagging off Dunham who only directed one episode.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 28, 2020 2:46 AM |
Episodes 4-8 are now on the BBC iplayer and HBO Max. Very reminiscent of This Life from the 1990s.
The K drug IS Ketamine. They also inhale nitrous oxide from balloons and take Modafinal, which is supposed to be like a 'face lift for the brain'. I took them about ten years ago and they don't do much, just give you an Adderall type rush and an acidic stomach.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 28, 2020 2:50 AM |
Am I missing something or did they not show us whether Robert got a job or not at the end?
For the token working class character he has a very upper class look to him.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 28, 2020 11:35 AM |
R21, his character went to Oxford Uni so he probably picked up airs and graces there. I don't find the romance between Gus and the posh blond closeted one convincing. No chemistry.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 28, 2020 11:45 AM |
R22 I don't really mean it that way, I mean his actual look. The slightly gormless, mouth always slightly open...he just looks like he'd be a member of the Drones Club if he was born a century earlier.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 28, 2020 11:55 AM |
Just what british tv needs another show about rich and middle class people.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 28, 2020 12:02 PM |
The main character Harper is from a working class black American background. Her boss Eric is from a workingclass Korean background. Those are two of the main characters.
I like the actress who plays Yasmin, Marisa Abela. Every time she does something naughty like send Robert pics of her masturbating, she looks as if she can't quite believe she's doing it, because she's supposed to be a good Turkish girl with a boyfriend
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 28, 2020 11:20 PM |
Fine, if you're going to be a pedantic cunt about it, token English working class character, happy now?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 28, 2020 11:26 PM |
Nope, lard whore. Black AMERICAN working class character, black ENGLIISH GAY character and older KOREAN WORKING CLASS character. Plus a TURKISH MIDDLE CLASS character and a WORKING CLASS BRIT who got lucky and went to Oxford. Got it now? You're not even watching it, you're just here to hate on Dunham who only directed E1 and is irrelevant.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 28, 2020 11:29 PM |
R27 Go on, check my post history and see how wrong you are.
Funny how you didn't initially reply to my post with such hostility, only once I had to explain you didn't read my post correctly that you start being a prick. Given Americans don't figure into the British class system, their background hardly matters in the context I was talking about. But at least you've finally learned the character's names.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 29, 2020 12:00 AM |
How can you be watching it and think Harper is British?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 29, 2020 12:01 AM |
R29 And where exactly do you think I said she was? Are you actually that stupid to not understand I was talking about Robert?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 29, 2020 12:02 AM |
Episode 8 was hilarious. Robert had a nose bleed during his final presentation to the Pierpoint board of directors, but was still given permanent employment. Harper had a panic attack and walked out but still ended up with a job. Yasmin was boring as hell in her presentation but ended up employed and Gus put them all on blast but some still wanted to give him a job.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 30, 2020 12:09 AM |
On the plus side at least Harper's job offer was mixed up in intrigue rather than just being an "okay she had a bad presentation but she's really great" type thing. but yeah, the lack of any of them getting fired was just a bit much.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 30, 2020 11:00 AM |
I enjoyed it but don’t see it getting renewed. The characters are pretty but there’s plenty of unrealistic situations. I did like the manager suddenly getting fired, I’ve worked with presumptuous cunts like this one and at jobs where you brought stress home with you
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 30, 2020 11:15 AM |
Boring story. Excellent dong (first ep). That's it.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 30, 2020 12:18 PM |
R16/R18 The scene in question, with Harry Lawtey
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 30, 2020 1:19 PM |
R35 I still think that dick does not look real. Completely different colour to the rest of his skin and something weird going on around the pubes?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 30, 2020 1:50 PM |
Dicks are usually a darker colour, R36.
Yasmin stripped off to send Harry pictures and had very nice natural tits, around a C cup. Harper also got naked for sex with her ex, but she was so skinny and small I felt uncomfortable watching her and I fastforwarded through it.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 30, 2020 1:57 PM |
OP is a stupid Brit cow frau.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 30, 2020 2:03 PM |
R38 is that twat from the Lewis Fataldi threads who keeps defending his right to put on 60lbs a year.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 30, 2020 3:15 PM |
Harry Lawtey is hot and, looking as his instagram, GAY!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 30, 2020 3:16 PM |
Dicpics where you don't have to join anything.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 30, 2020 3:32 PM |
Oh yay: another cookie cutter PC drama with A-B-C "all bases covered" diversity casting; 1-2-3 "all bases covered" sexuality casting; and artifically forced, second-rate character writing. Oh, and make sure there's frontal nudity in the first episode to get the ratings up. These series are all barely indistinguishable from each other, and utterly forgettable.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 30, 2020 3:45 PM |
Rather like your posts then, R44
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 30, 2020 5:13 PM |
Does Harry Lawtey's dong make any further appearances (after ep 1)?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 30, 2020 5:14 PM |
R46 No
R37 Plus her nipples were really erect (for lack of a better word). They could've at least shown us her boyfriend's dick too.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 30, 2020 5:27 PM |
I ended up really enjoying it - really all of the character arcs.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 20, 2021 1:33 AM |
I don’t think we know if Rob got a job. I thought that was the cliffhanger.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 20, 2021 1:46 AM |

Gee, it's right up there with Who Killed Laura Palmer.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 20, 2021 1:58 AM |
Why were people in the main room shaking his hand then?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 21, 2021 11:46 AM |
Right r51. The executive from America likes Rob and gets him the job. That's what makes Daria go off on him, she is upset to see him failing upwards.
Btw there is also a thread here.
