Fuck Nevada

by Anonymousreply 2November 6, 2020 7:09 PM

One wild card left in Nevada: 60,000 provisional ballots are still out. Those could break more for Trump than the mail in ballots, we just don't know, says John Lapinski, NBC director of elections

by Anonymousreply 3November 6, 2020 7:10 PM

Which is the real thread?

by Anonymousreply 4November 6, 2020 7:11 PM

The whole notion of "calling it" is suspect... the formal moment when the new President is elected in December 14, when the Electoral College votes. Everything before them is conventional, but not constitutional, in terms of picking the new President.

We always knew that Trump would try to challenge the election when he lost. He said so explicitly..."take it to my Supreme Court" etc. He could have lost by 30% and he'd still claim the election results were not valid.

It's a mess. He a psychopath/sociopath and there are too man Republicans who accepted that. So this was always going to happen. Joe won the election. It'll take time to get to Dec 14, and Trump and his gang will try lots more dirty tricks before then. Stay calm, stat patient. The American Democracy is purging a parasite, and it will take time.

by Anonymousreply 5November 6, 2020 7:15 PM

R$ The other one is winning by a slight margin.

by Anonymousreply 6November 6, 2020 7:15 PM

This is the real thread r4

by Anonymousreply 7November 6, 2020 7:18 PM

R3, it’s extremely unlikely. The two population centers in Nevada are Vegas and Reno. Reno area is a lot smaller, population wise. Clark County (Vegas) is 72% of the population of Nevada. Clark County is blue and full of Democratic Californians. Everyone will here tell you that. Even disgruntled, surly Republicans.

Everything else in Nevada is mostly red, very sparsely populated areas. Every election, Clark County overcomes those red areas because all of them put together aren’t as big as Clark County.

The reason it’s like this is a large part of the middle of Nevada is barren desert, and a lot of it is owned by the Federal government and not available to populate. They did above ground nuclear tests there in the 1950s. There’s not any big red cities out there. Anywhere in the whole state. So we don’t need to know exactly where a vote comes from to know it’s a Democratic majority.

by Anonymousreply 8November 6, 2020 7:18 PM

Or is it alternately real, r7?

by Anonymousreply 9November 6, 2020 7:20 PM

Calling Arizona or Nevada today would accomplish one big thing -- it would prevent any path to 270 for Trump.

Calling both would win Biden the election allowing whatever shitstorms in PA and GA to play out. GA is already off the table as a recount has already been called.

Republicans KNOW the endgame in PA is going to be a lot of ballots for Biden which is why they are doing their damnedest to be criminals about it.

by Anonymousreply 10November 6, 2020 7:23 PM

What is left today? AZ has more soon. They could call that.

by Anonymousreply 11November 6, 2020 7:25 PM

AZ had been called by AP and Fox, r11

by Anonymousreply 12November 6, 2020 7:25 PM

R8 I get the delay in Clark County (sort of ), but how come some of those really barren Trump counties out in the sticks of Nevada with only a few thousand votes still show that they've only counted 70-80%? (e.g Eureka, Pershing Lander), At least Arizona has covered all that kind of space.

by Anonymousreply 13November 6, 2020 7:25 PM

I know but it's not helping calm things down. The others need to call it. A weekend in limbo will be dangerous.

by Anonymousreply 14November 6, 2020 7:26 PM

Only 30% of counties (20 of 67) have reported absentee votes in PA -- these ballots are breaking over 79% for Biden. The actual Nov 3 count isn't even done yet.

by Anonymousreply 15November 6, 2020 7:27 PM

Why is everyone still so afraid of le grande orange? Call this thing already!

by Anonymousreply 16November 6, 2020 7:28 PM

It appears THIS is the real Part 16:

Multiple threads... I gotta get a life. Good by DL until this evening.

by Anonymousreply 18November 6, 2020 7:32 PM

What will you be good by this evening, r18?

by Anonymousreply 19November 6, 2020 7:44 PM

Maybe we could agree that poster of post 500 will start the next thread. That way there would be less confusion.

I recognize for a determined few of you this approach will deprive you of a great deal of the meaning in your lives.

by Anonymousreply 20November 6, 2020 8:24 PM

COUNT ALL POSTS !!!

by Anonymousreply 21November 6, 2020 8:29 PM

Who is writing the chryons on MSNBC I'm turning this mess off. It says "race tightens" or "election tightens". That is just stirring the pot and is in no way indicative of what's happening here.

by Anonymousreply 22November 6, 2020 8:32 PM

Donald J. Trump wears diapers and fucks his own daughter, Ivanka.
