ELECTION 2020 Part 8
by Anonymous | reply 605 | November 5, 2020 6:58 AM |
Blanche would have worn a "Trump can grab MY pussy" wrap dress.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 4, 2020 9:05 PM |
How would Coco have voted?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 4, 2020 9:06 PM |
Rose wouldn't be a Republican.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 4, 2020 9:06 PM |
I've not had the time to keep up with this all day. By my count the most likely scenario is Biden 270 - Trump 268, right?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 4, 2020 9:06 PM |
Because if so I don't know whether to LOOOOOOOOLLLLLL or EEEEEEEPPP!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 4, 2020 9:07 PM |
Frieda Claxton would have voted for Trump for sure.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 4, 2020 9:07 PM |
I’m starting to hyperventilate
🤢🥴🤭😨🥺
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 4, 2020 9:07 PM |
Has anyone checked on Kirstie Alley?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 4, 2020 9:07 PM |
Jaime Harrison spent $109 million and lost by 11 points. What the fuck was he doing with that money?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 4, 2020 9:08 PM |
R5, no Biden is winning PA. We just don’t want to wait for that shit
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 4, 2020 9:08 PM |
Keep an eye on Georgia, we still have a close race in Georgia.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 4, 2020 9:08 PM |
I’ll be sucking Mexican cock in honor of Nevada and Arizona.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 4, 2020 9:08 PM |
CNN and MSNBC are projecting 253 electoral votes for Biden and FOX has it at 264!!
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 4, 2020 9:09 PM |
GA is too close to call. Joe is getting closer
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 4, 2020 9:09 PM |
R10, SC started the civil war. You think they would have 2 black senators?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 4, 2020 9:09 PM |
Nope r5. The Dems are very, very confident Biden is going to win PA. All the number crunchers seem to agree.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 4, 2020 9:09 PM |
I saw Jaime Harrison ads here in NYC, multiple times a day. What was the point of that? He should be investigated, that whole campaign is starting to look like one giant grift to get NY and CA liberals to send him a bunch of money.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 4, 2020 9:09 PM |
R11 a win in PA would be glorious.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 4, 2020 9:10 PM |
If Georgia also comes along, the critics calling out Black and Hispanic voters can go fuck themselves.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 4, 2020 9:10 PM |
R10, he is a great candidate. SC is just sucky.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 4, 2020 9:10 PM |
"Dorothy,I'm confused. The dots on the ballot? Where are the numbers telling me the order in which I connect them to reveal a smiling clown?"
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 4, 2020 9:10 PM |
Someone on the other thread asked if PA is accepting ballots until Friday. Yes, but they had to be mailed on or before election day.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 4, 2020 9:10 PM |
The pessimist side of me is still thinking Trump will sneak out the win.
Yeah, like the end of a horror movie when they think they’ve escaped alive but the monster appears in the back seat, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 4, 2020 9:11 PM |
I'd like to think that Blanche would've been influenced by her gay brother and his partner. They are really close and loves her brother a lot.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 4, 2020 9:11 PM |
He lost because of VOTER SUPPRESSION.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 4, 2020 9:11 PM |
Thanks, R23.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 4, 2020 9:11 PM |
Lincoln party guys are pretty dang quiet today....they got humiliated
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 4, 2020 9:11 PM |
R23 that’s the lawsuit going on now, right? Fuck them, every vote cast before the end of Election Day needs to be counted.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 4, 2020 9:12 PM |
Only on DL Golden Girls are able to take over election thread. Love it!
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 4, 2020 9:12 PM |
It really feels like a lifetime between now and last night when I went to bed early and tried to stop myself from having a panic attack
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 4, 2020 9:13 PM |
Blanche would want to fuck Biden, though.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 4, 2020 9:13 PM |
Michael Steele is the whitest looking Black man
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 4, 2020 9:13 PM |
R13 You do that anyway puta.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 4, 2020 9:13 PM |
Goddammit, he's exhausting even while losing.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 4, 2020 9:14 PM |
Barbara Thorndyke voted for Trump to cancel out Murray Gutman's Biden vote.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 4, 2020 9:14 PM |
NV needs to come through then it’s game OVAH!
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 4, 2020 9:14 PM |
AZ feels like it’s slipping away. Did the AP retract their call?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 4, 2020 9:15 PM |
All the men Blanche fucked would have been huge Trump voters.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 4, 2020 9:15 PM |
Trump needs GOP money for all these crap lawsuits. He's not paying for shit himself. If the GOP decides to cut their losses because he has no path to 270, he can scream all he wants, but no one is going to foot the bill for his legal tantrums. Sheldon Adelson already told him to fuck off months ago.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 4, 2020 9:15 PM |
R32 Blanche would’ve ALREADY fucked Biden.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 4, 2020 9:15 PM |
Blanche would have a story about how Trump wanted her.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 4, 2020 9:16 PM |
R28, what you mean? They helped ups.
The only fucked up shit was Miami. If Biden met Clinton’ number he would have won Florida.
Texas is now a battle state, never was before. Georgia and North Carolina are now purple. It’s a good election for Dems but not great for the Senate, but if we can narrow their lead will be good.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 4, 2020 9:16 PM |
I need Brian Williams and Jon Meacham to add some authority and gravitas to what’s unfolding.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 4, 2020 9:16 PM |
Biden won. GA Sen seats headed for run-off. 50-50 senate.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 4, 2020 9:17 PM |
James Carville is also in hiding today. He said as late as yesterday at 6pm that we would all be in bed by 11pm.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 4, 2020 9:17 PM |
For those calling PA for Biden, he’s down by like 6 points there right now. How you figure?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 4, 2020 9:18 PM |
That GA runoff is where the really nasty battle will be. The GOP will have dumped Trump by then and that will be where they focus their resources and lawsuits.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 4, 2020 9:18 PM |

No, they didn’t.
Current numbers:
Biden: 51.0
Trump: 47.6
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 4, 2020 9:19 PM |
R47, Philly yet to come in
by Anonymous | reply 52 | November 4, 2020 9:19 PM |
There’s a million votes out in PA, a lot from philly and Biden is doing much better than Hillary did in trump counties. Biden will win PA easily
by Anonymous | reply 53 | November 4, 2020 9:20 PM |
Blanche probably DID fuck Biden, way back in the day, R32.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | November 4, 2020 9:20 PM |
Thanks, r52!
by Anonymous | reply 55 | November 4, 2020 9:20 PM |
R28, but they did manage one tweet to warn Loeffler for the upcoming runoff election. Based on the fuck all they achieved (relative to all that swagger and trash talk), I'm sure Loeffler is quaking in her heels. LP targeted Collins, Graham and Ernest and all three won easily. LP is taking credit for CO and AZ but Hickenlooper won by such a wide margin, I doubt the absence of LP would have made a difference. In AZ, Kelly won pretty easily too and he is a globally famous astronaut. Again, a vote here or there, but he likely would have won even if LP never existed.
Maybe LP made a tiny difference here and there but they way overpromised and way under-delivered. They'll claim victory if Trump loses but it seems pretty phyrric to me. Their senate campaign was a total fizzle.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 4, 2020 9:21 PM |
Donald just announced he hereby claims NC, PA, and GA.
He doth bring us the proclamation of such via the Tweeter.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 4, 2020 9:21 PM |
You too, r53.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 4, 2020 9:21 PM |
Who is spreading all the Arizona news? Biden will win there.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | November 4, 2020 9:21 PM |
Trump called Murdoch and demanded a retraction.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 4, 2020 9:22 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 4, 2020 9:22 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 65 | November 4, 2020 9:23 PM |
Joe is 17 electoral votes away from 270 per the NYT.

Trump is acting like a child. People need to grab him and tell him how to behave if he wants to get his own TV network or plan for business post POTUS.
Having said that, it would mean he was a good businessman and sane adult. Maybe some of his supporters will see what a moron he is.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 4, 2020 9:24 PM |
Not Mel Bushman, R39.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 4, 2020 9:24 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 4, 2020 9:24 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 72 | November 4, 2020 9:25 PM |
Lincoln Project put up that (admittedly funny) billboard about Jared and Ivanka in NYC. During a pandemic, when tourism is down. Who was their audience, exactly?
Granted, they lucked out that the 2 dumbasses opted to go the Streisand effect route, but if their goal was to convert Republicans disgusted by Trump, why not do so it more strategic places?
by Anonymous | reply 73 | November 4, 2020 9:25 PM |
If Biden wins Arizona, I will personally never say another bad thing about Cindy McCain or Meghan.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | November 4, 2020 9:26 PM |
R51 Biden won Arizona. The only ballots left are in Phoenix and Tucson where Biden is winning easily.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | November 4, 2020 9:26 PM |
Yup MSNBC calling them president and vice president elect now
by Anonymous | reply 76 | November 4, 2020 9:26 PM |

Report from the trenches: A blonde bimbo on Faux just said about Trump's outrageous 2am speech, 'The President is fighting not only about himself but about all his supporters, the people he got to meet at his rallies. He's so emotional because he saw earlier last night that he was ahead."
Of course Faux knows this was same-day vote, heavily pro-Trump. They also know that any normal human being over the age of 5 will understand the simple concept of 'you can't claim victory the moment you get ahead if there's so much vote left to be counted.' But did they say it out loud - No.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | November 4, 2020 9:33 PM |
Cindy mcain is good friends with joe biden. This is one of the reason we went with biden in the primary. Cindy and joe could take arizona, a purple state.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | November 4, 2020 9:33 PM |
Joe has won Michigan thanks to massive turnout in Detroit. He will also carry Arizona and possibly Nevada.
So much for the crypto deplorable "blame Blacks and Latinos" narrative. Look who is carrying the election right now.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | November 4, 2020 9:33 PM |
Pete's a given in the cabinet. He was a great asset, Joe sees his potential and Kamala and her husband bonded with Pete and his husband on the campaign trail so he's in like Flynn.
And Meghan McCain - all the shrieking she and her husband do about the left and all the lies and distortions they peddle and they have the gall to check the American public for not voting for Biden in greater numbers? BS.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | November 4, 2020 9:33 PM |

For anybody who hates Trump and wants him to experience maximum pain, this couldn’t have gone any better. He went to bed last night confident that he won the election, then he had his heart ripped out. Trump is devastated right now.
by Anonymous | reply 106 | November 4, 2020 9:35 PM |
Yep, R102. An important lesson is developing:
by Anonymous | reply 107 | November 4, 2020 9:36 PM |
The issue in Georgia is 40,000 mail in ballots being thrown out because signatures can’t be verified. People, check your ballot status and fix it if you must.
by Anonymous | reply 108 | November 4, 2020 9:36 PM |
R102 -- one of the positive things that will come out of this election is the destruction of the myth of the "Latino vote" -- that's like talking about the "European vote" -- the Venezolanos and Cubans in Miami are white and regard themselves as VERY different than Mexicans and Puerto Ricans.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | November 4, 2020 9:37 PM |
Kamala was in Detroit on the morning of the election. Clinton lost because of low turnout there so Biden was really targeting it. Looking across the country African Americans came out for Biden everywhere. They deserve a black VP and they deserve the respect of being considered a vital part of our party and not a nuisance that has to be pandered to.
by Anonymous | reply 110 | November 4, 2020 9:37 PM |

Trump’s lead in Georgia is down to 1.4 points with a lot of Democratic vote still out. Will be razor thin here, and a recount seems likely either way.
With Nevada releasing additional ballots later today, Biden now has a reasonable path to clearing the 270 electoral vote threshold tonight.

Arizona Republic did a good job tracking the remaining 600,000+ votes in AZ:
[bold]~450,000 Maricopa County:[/bold]
* 248,000 early ballots that arrived on Monday and Tuesday.
* 160,000 to 180,000 early ballots that were dropped off on Election Day.
* 18,000 provisional ballots, about 10,000 of which are from Election Day and the remainder from early voting.
[bold]Other counties[/bold]
* 49,000 ballots, including 18,000 provisional, Pima County
* 43,000 Pinal County, most of which were early ballots.
* 10,394 in Yuma County, a majority of which also were early ballots.
* 8,210 in Yavapai County, mostly early ballots.
* 8,000 in Coconino County, a figure that only includes early ballots that arrived in the mail before Election Day, but not those dropped off Tuesday or any provisional votes.
* 12,000 ballots remain in Cochise County.
* 13,000 ballots in Apache, 2,350 ballots in Gila County, 274 in Santa Cruz County, 1,103 in Graham County and 652 in Greenlee County.

OK, my cheese may have traveled way off the cracker, but, once it sinks in to Trumps gelatinous skull that he's toast, I think he may want to make nice.
Not because he is, of course, but because maybe he'll see it as a way to call off the New York investigations and the feds.

Obama’s 69,498,516 total in 2008
Obama’s 65,915,795 total in 2012
Hillary’s 65,853,514 total in 2016
Trump's own 62,984,828 total in 2016
There’s a million votes out in PA, a lot from philly and Biden is doing much better than Hillary did in trump counties. Biden will win PA easily
I posted in the original thread, that there are so many people here in PA who voted for Trump last time, but said "never again" after seeing what a disaster he became. He won by a slim margin here last time, and he has now lost too many of his 2016 voters who either stayed home or voted Biden this time. There's no way he can win PA...the math doesn't add up.

Trump will never give a concession speech. He will not do any kind of inauguration activity or anything resembling handing over the reigns to Biden. And there will be some poo pooing for a couple days about "norms," but that will be overtaken with talk about how is not technically required, so why should he? And then they'll go back to reporting his rage tweets and he'll call into Fox and Friends every morning and he'll stage his own press conferences where he'll say all kinds of stupid shit that gets bullhorned by respectable media outlets under the guise of "if the former President says it, it's news."

My neighbor, whom I loathe, was bitching awhile ago that he signed up to donate once-per-week to the Trump campaign, and it was supposed to end on November 1, but they've already charged his card again. He can't get a response when calling or emailing to stop it.
I love that Don is going to keep fleecing his flock to the bitter end.

I got an email alert from the LATimes at 1:30 PST saying Biden had won Michigan, but even though they're using the AP for their results, AP didn't call it until just now.
BTW, notice any problem with this content?
Joe Biden has won Michigan, reclaiming for Democrats another state that barely slipped away four years ago. The win brings Biden just one state away from clinching victory. If Biden holds on to his lead in Nevada, which is expected to finish its vote count Thursday, he will lock in the nomination. What "nomination" are they talking about?

This is due to Pennsylvania's REPUBLICAN Legislature which prevented the votes from being counted before November 3rd. It's well-known that Republicans are national embarrassments.

Can we stop with the nonsense now that Florida is some kind of battleground state? It is not; it voted for Trump in 2016; elected a second Repug senator and a Repug governor in 2018, and now gave Trump an early present last night by going for him again, and it wasn't even particularly close this time.
Florida is red, red, red for the foreseeable future and believe me, I hate it, because I live in this shithole of a state.

R35, Trump will continue to hold rallies for the foreseeable future.
Maybe he'll pitch a "Rally? Really!" Reality Show to Mark Burnett (or vice-versa). Filmed on locations throughout the South. Friday nights on NBC. Shown on tape-delay if scheduling conflicts with high school football games.
Or maybe a quiz game! "Trump Said WHAT?!" Contestants must decide if outrageous statements were said by Donald Trump---or not! Winner gets an autographed copy of Trump's new book, "My Struggle."
Most likely, though, is "The Apprentice: White House," the third incarnation of Trump's iconic Reality show. Competitors develop faux-auditions, using anything from Instagram to highway billboards, to be selected as "Forever-President Trump's New Spokesperson." Episode One deals with keeping a straight face while lying about a scene shown to the audience. Tuesday nights on NBC.

From CNN:
The President told one person he was willing to let the legal maneuvering proceed but suggested he did not believe it would be successful in the end. While he said he believes he will win in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia, Trump was skeptical at the lawsuits filed by his team.
Trump hinted at his views in a tweet on Wednesday afternoon: "Our lawyers have asked for ‘meaningful access’, but what good does that do?” he wrote from the White House. “The damage has already been done to the integrity of our system, and to the Presidential Election itself. This is what should be discussed!”
Trump’s campaign has been feverishly soliciting funds for the legal effort on its email list. After Trump’s tweet, one campaign adviser questioned why the President would undercut the effort at the same moment he is seeking new money to support it.

Crickets from Republican legislatures and Governors about Trump's lawsuits. Even Republicans that have spoken to the matter, such as Scott Walker and Chris Christie, expressed views against efforts to stop voting and demand recounts.
Attorney Jay Sekulow will garner millions more for filing these frivolous lawsuits all the way to the USSC. Who is paying his fees? Certainly not Trump.

So in any case, it's a better situation than what we have now. And Dems have the possibility of gaining seats in 2022. Pennsylvania Republican Pat Toomey is retiring in 2022...his seat could easily be won by a Dem.

by Anonymous | reply 490 | November 5, 2020 1:21 AM |
It may not be as close in these states as we think. Pretty much everything left is mail-in votes. Last night Trump was leading GA by 325,000. Now it’s 40,000 or so.
In some states, mail-ins are 70% Democrat. In the end, Biden may end up winning some of these states by 2-3% or more. That’s hundreds of thousands of votes, and well past the margin of asking for recounts. Trump is going to find himself in the position of having no legal grounds to do anything. If a “close race” is losing by 80,000 votes, that’s not a small enough margin to be able to claim “53 late votes” is going to make a difference.
CNN says Trump is calling Ron DeSantos and yelling at him. Good.
Arizona says they’re done counting in-person Election Day ballots. They’re counting mail-ins now.

by Anonymous | reply 494 | November 5, 2020 1:22 AM |
Why AP called AZ for Biden...
...changing demographics, including a fast-growing Latino population and a boom of new residents — some fleeing the skyrocketing cost of living in neighboring California — have made the state friendlier to Democrats. Many of the gains have been driven by the shifting politics of Maricopa County, which is home to Phoenix and its suburbs. That’s where Biden sealed his victory. Maricopa County accounts for 60% of the state’s vote, and Biden ran up huge margins there.
In 2016, Trump carried the county by 4 percentage points, which helped propel him to a win. But two years later, Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema flipped the seat from Republican control by winning the county by 5 points.
[qute]In 2018, Sinema became the first Democrat in three decades to win a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona. Democrats also won three statewide offices and five of nine congressional seats and made gains in the state legislature that year.
In 2016, voters ousted Republican Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County’s hardline sheriff, who built a national profile on his harsh treatment of immigrants.

It's almost all over but the closing dance. My attention is turning to the Senate races. As long as there is outstanding vote to count in NC I'm not writing Cunningham off yet.
Also the margins are narrowing in GA every hour. If Biden prevails or at least comes close to besting Trump by a slim margin, he should take Ossoff with him. The key right now is to get Perdue below 50% to trigger a runoff. Last data showed him sitting at 50.2% so we are VERY CLOSE there. A runoff - much like the other GA race - is a new chance, with Trump out of the way its more winnable imo.

R537, there’s a few from the Tucson area (even bluer than Phoenix), about a thousand from one red county, and about 17,000 from another red county.
But they’re all write ins, so even the ones in the red areas might have a lot of Democratic votes in them. Trump endlessly claimed nobody should do mail in ballots and they were all fraudulent. So a lot of Trumpers went in person and those are counted already.
