Fox News calls Arizona for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 4November 4, 2020 4:10 AM

R2, link please.

by Anonymousreply 5November 4, 2020 4:10 AM

Wow I thought r2 was trolling. The needle favored Trump all night. It is is leaning verrrry slightly Joe's way right now.

I am feeling better after Arizona. An hour ago I thought this was 2016 all over again. But there are so many absentee votes left in the Rust Belt that there's still a chance.

by Anonymousreply 6November 4, 2020 4:11 AM

I’m not worried. It looks like Biden has it.

by Anonymousreply 7November 4, 2020 4:11 AM

Fox called AZ for Biden half an hour ago. No one else has so far.

by Anonymousreply 8November 4, 2020 4:11 AM

Thank you, Muriel, for turning off prime time.

WE ARE IN A FIGHT FOR OUR LIVES!!! FOR OUR FREEDOM!!!

by Anonymousreply 9November 4, 2020 4:11 AM

Biden will probably win NE-2

by Anonymousreply 10November 4, 2020 4:11 AM

NYT's needle just moved to project Georgia to Biden. Fasten your seatbelts.

by Anonymousreply 11November 4, 2020 4:12 AM

Are you insane R7?

by Anonymousreply 12November 4, 2020 4:12 AM

AP called HI for Biden. (No surprise.)

by Anonymousreply 13November 4, 2020 4:13 AM

Trump has won.

Go to bed.

by Anonymousreply 14November 4, 2020 4:13 AM

I know all decent people in the nation were traumatized in 2016 but don’t give up hope so soon.

by Anonymousreply 18November 4, 2020 4:13 AM

by Anonymousreply 19November 4, 2020 4:13 AM

Who cares what the NYT says

by Anonymousreply 20November 4, 2020 4:13 AM

Nate Silver should be hung in Lafayette square so we can all throw rocks at him. Fuck him and fuck polling. That entire industry is done.

by Anonymousreply 21November 4, 2020 4:13 AM

America is a joke.

by Anonymousreply 22November 4, 2020 4:13 AM

Trolls fuck off. It looks good for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 23November 4, 2020 4:14 AM
If Biden wins without Ohio, gone are the days where you needed Ohio to win the White House. The campaigns spend way too much time pandering to that bumfuck state. Its time to move on to places like AZ.

Democrats have never needed Ohio to win. It’s Republicans who can’t win without it. Frankly, I think Ohio and Florida are lost causes for Democrats, and they should ignore those. Focus on always winning PA, MI, and WI... the Blue Wall. Hillary ignored those states and look where it got us.

by Anonymousreply 24November 4, 2020 4:14 AM

Trump won

by Anonymousreply 25November 4, 2020 4:14 AM

I’d rather come on Doug Imhoff.

by Anonymousreply 26November 4, 2020 4:14 AM

Looking more favorable for Biden. GA now in his column.

by Anonymousreply 27November 4, 2020 4:14 AM

by Anonymousreply 29November 4, 2020 4:14 AM

by Anonymousreply 30November 4, 2020 4:15 AM

Atlanta isn’t all counted and I don’t see a major city that’s mostly black voting for turnip

by Anonymousreply 31November 4, 2020 4:15 AM

SO, only 5 states left to decide this election now: WI, MI, GA, PA, and NC!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 32November 4, 2020 4:15 AM

My state's lone Dem. Congresswoman, Kendra Horn, has lost her seat after flipping the district blue in 2018, after 40+ years of being ruby red.

by Anonymousreply 35November 4, 2020 4:16 AM

I'm not watching but I can't help but be worried. I think trump will get it because to many americans are total fuckwads.

by Anonymousreply 36November 4, 2020 4:16 AM

For the person asking in the other thread, HI is reliably blue and was just called for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 37November 4, 2020 4:16 AM

Joe's going to make a speech?

by Anonymousreply 38November 4, 2020 4:16 AM

R21 A couple of days ago on another thread, I asked some simple civil questions about the assumptions that pollsters were using for these rosy (blue) scenarios. I was trounced for being absurd. Oh well.

by Anonymousreply 39November 4, 2020 4:16 AM

Fox uncalled GA. Oh shit nigh.

by Anonymousreply 40November 4, 2020 4:16 AM

James carville went from “well be asleep by midnight” to “I’ll open my celebratory bottle on Friday when we get a call that the courts won’t invalidate”. He’s a DINOSAUR. he knows nothing.

by Anonymousreply 41November 4, 2020 4:17 AM
yes. Florida does that. The southern states do. But the northern states it’s the opposite.

You can't make broad, blanket statements like southern states count polling-place voting first and then absentees.

How states run elections/count votes is governed by state legislatures, and can change frequently. And in some cases, authority is delegated down to the county level.

That's why you had John King saying the early reported Miami-Dade numbers were mail-in ballots and early voting and that was as good as it would get for Biden because things would get better for Trump as they added polling-place voting later in the night.

by Anonymousreply 42November 4, 2020 4:17 AM

Biden's on track to win. It's going to take a couple days.

Folks.... you are witnessing the end of Trump. You thought it would be a clean break?

by Anonymousreply 45November 4, 2020 4:18 AM

And what makes you say that R43

by Anonymousreply 46November 4, 2020 4:18 AM

R40 WHAT? You mean AZ?

by Anonymousreply 47November 4, 2020 4:18 AM

R43 from your typing to Gods ears.

by Anonymousreply 48November 4, 2020 4:18 AM

Apparently, FOX got some angry calls from White House about calling AZ so early!

by Anonymousreply 49November 4, 2020 4:19 AM

Oh shit yeah, he meant Fox retracted their Arizona call.

R40 please be more careful in the future, Jesus.

by Anonymousreply 50November 4, 2020 4:20 AM

by Anonymousreply 54November 4, 2020 4:22 AM

538 on Georgia:

“ One of the big uncalled states is Georgia, where Trump leads by about 8 percentage points with 79 percent of the expected vote reporting, according to ABC News. On its face, that would seem to be pretty good for Trump. But The New York Times’ needle now gives Biden a slight edge, probably because there are many votes left to be counted in the Atlanta area. Only half of the expected vote is in from deep-blue Fulton County, and only about one-third is in from next-door DeKalb County. Fulton’s count was slowed by a burst pipe at State Farm Arena, and a couple of precincts in DeKalb had their poll-closing times extended by a judge. So it appears a fair number of Democratic-leaning votes are outstanding, but it could take a while before we know what the near-final tallies look like.”

by Anonymousreply 55November 4, 2020 4:22 AM

Nate Cohn agrees that it was too soon to call Arizona.

by Anonymousreply 61November 4, 2020 4:25 AM

by Anonymousreply 62November 4, 2020 4:25 AM

by Anonymousreply 65November 4, 2020 4:26 AM

Biden better say that he will wait till all the ballots are counted if it takes forever. That's all he has to say.

by Anonymousreply 66November 4, 2020 4:26 AM

Biden is on track to win.

Both James Carville and Michael Steele just said it on MSNBC. It's going to take some time to count all the mail-in ballots in MI, WI and PA. Biden wins those, and he's got it. And the internal numbers they see look good.

by Anonymousreply 67November 4, 2020 4:26 AM

R61, probably because he wants to get a word in before Twitler screams about treason because the uncounted votes aren’t just being put in the trash.

by Anonymousreply 68November 4, 2020 4:26 AM

WI - 10 electoral votes

MI - 16

PA - 20

AZ - 8

GA - 16

NV - 6

by Anonymousreply 104November 4, 2020 4:35 AM

by Anonymousreply 135November 4, 2020 4:42 AM

Australian commentator just going through the Blue Wall states and explaining why the Trump lead now is illusory, or at best very rubbery. In all of them they are still waiting for the postal votes AND the big city votes, all of which will heavily favour the Dems.

If there is as much as a 5 point error compared with the polls, Pa would go but the other two would remain Dem, and as long as he holds Arizona, Biden wins. That's not counting Georgia, which is edging back to him.

That said, whereas after 2016 we might have thought a lot of Americans made an impulsive decision they regretted as Trump showed his colours, now we know they were, and are, actual shitheads.

[bold](16) MI / (11) AZ / (10) WI / (6) NV / (3) Rest of Maine / (1) NE-2[/bold] AZ and NE-2 are Biden flips

Trump has 213; these 5 get him to 218:

[bold](4) Rest of Nebraska / (1) ME-2[/bold] Trump has no flips

These 51 can go to Biden or Trump; they won't get trump past 270, only to 269. All 51 would get Biden to 321.

[bold](20) PA / (16) GA / (15) NC[/bold] Each would be a Biden flip.

The popular vote will be Biden 81,000,000 (54%) to Trump 69,000,000 (46%)

Democrats are suckers. Donating to races in Ky, SC, IA. I agree that Jaime harrison should be ashamed of himself for spending that much. I saw his ads here in nyc. Really?
Dems aren’t even close to flipping the senate. What the fuck happened?

In spite of the obstreperous protestations that all of the polling must be wrong, the reality is that all of the Democratic chances were small leads, within the margin of error, in red states. I thought we might pick up a net 7 or 8 but now, if Gross and Cunningham manage to win, at best we will have won four for a net three. It is really fucking infuriating, but the reality is IA, TX, SC, MS and of course SC all had the coattails of Thing One to ride on.. We were hoping to flip some of those states altogether and take the electoral vote and Senate seat. Alas, no. People live in fear and cling to their bias, unfortunately.

by Anonymousreply 313November 4, 2020 5:50 AM

That seems high r307. From what I've seen Biden is on track to win the popular vote by 5 or 6 points.

by Anonymousreply 314November 4, 2020 5:50 AM

Come on, Georgia, please!

by Anonymousreply 315November 4, 2020 5:51 AM

R313 but the polls...

by Anonymousreply 316November 4, 2020 5:52 AM

I am worried about Peters retaining the Senate seat in MI. John James, the Republican is ahead by almost 300K votes. This could be a loss for the Dems.

by Anonymousreply 318November 4, 2020 5:53 AM

If those Atlanta votes make the difference, I swear, I will go there on my next vacation and let every hot gay Democrat fuck my hole.

by Anonymousreply 319November 4, 2020 5:54 AM

All that money should have been spent in PA to buy those bitches some poll workers to count those votes faster.

by Anonymousreply 320November 4, 2020 5:54 AM

No matter what trump says the election is not called. The world will not report as such. All ballots will be counted. We need UN peace keepers

by Anonymousreply 321November 4, 2020 5:55 AM

I hate to say this but South Carolina is still South Carolina, and even a white, gay Republican man is preferable to most voters there than a black, straight, Democratic one.

Prove me wrong.

by Anonymousreply 329November 4, 2020 5:57 AM

The Senate flip was an 85% odds favorite for Dems. Who the hell made this prediction? They should be fired. But NO. During the next election cycle we will have Iowa give credence to someone that may not even win. Tons of money will be sent there. Then we will have party favorites run for Senate or Congressional seats, even though we all know their odds are zero. We will give them millions of dollars that will go to the same advisers and pollsters as of today. CRIMINAL.

by Anonymousreply 330November 4, 2020 5:58 AM

by Anonymousreply 333November 4, 2020 6:00 AM

The Repugs in the Senate are going to be in a major quandry if Joe wins. Trump will be outside, but still rallying, I bet, right until the handcuffs go on. How do they break from him if he has been defeated so narrowly. He’ll still be their insane leader, but on the outside, trying to hold onto the adulation of the masses. It’s all he has.

by Anonymousreply 334November 4, 2020 6:00 AM

I knew Greenfield would never win. First, she won the primary by staying in her basement. Then she gives only controlled interviews. She had only one good debate because she knew the break-even price point for corn and beans. The rest of Iowa didn't give a damn and Ernst was a favorite.

by Anonymousreply 335November 4, 2020 6:00 AM

We might get an Arizona call r331. Possibly Nevada.

Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Pennsylvania aren't getting called tonight.

by Anonymousreply 337November 4, 2020 6:00 AM

by Anonymousreply 357November 4, 2020 6:12 AM

There’s one good thing for me in the midst of all this. I had set aside an Ambien next to my bed on a book I was reading. When I was ready to fall asleep the Ambien had disappeared, and I only had enough until my prescription is due. I frantically searched and found it on the bathroom about six to nine feet from where I had set it aside. How it got there I don’t know unless I flipped the book in the general direction of the bathroom with the pill on top. Not only had I now secured my sleep, but also found a last dose of Klonopin hiding behind my toothbrush. So my sleep and some anxiety relief are assured tonight. Small comforts make a difference on nights like this.

r338, I do think new candidates and ideas would help, but most of all it comes down to voter participation. I've said it over and over. Republicans get their people to the polls no matter what. They will turn out of vote for whatever POS candidate is on their ticket, as long as its a Republican. Democrats have got to learn how to get people out of the house to vote, regardless of who is heading the ticket.
no tv pundits are mentioning the cheating repugs do, and the post office fuk ups, thousands of ballots never delivered

CNN mentioned it for a few seconds. I think the networks and media want to call it right away when it's impossible to count all the millions of mail-in ballots. Heck, it took California 2 weeks to count their's. The majority of mail-in ballots were Dems. I think the reporting was the Election Day results. The states in questioned said it would take a couple of days to count.

I also don't trust the Post Office.

by Anonymousreply 466November 4, 2020 7:33 AM

I think Biden is going to win it. A shame it wasn't a landslide.

But with all the cheating that's been going on, voter suppression, interference, the Dems still turned out in big enough numbers.

FFS John King works for CNN and one of their main concerns is RATINGS. This is major night for them, to help set ad rates. You think he's going to get up and say "well that's it it looks like it's going to X"?, r478?

He's paid to build suspense and keep viewers hanging on. He knows full well that the numbers still show a good lead in WI and PA and probably MI, once all the votes are COUNTED.

Everything is playing out the way it was supposed to, per all the polls the past few weeks. He was never going to get FL, TX, or OH - those were pipe dreams. He came (is still) damn close in GA and NC - those are gains. AZ is a huge pickup. We'll know tomorrow.

by Anonymousreply 486November 4, 2020 7:46 AM

CNN just showed 83% counted in WI - what's left in terms of what's still out there, where are these votes. I'm still positive it's going to Biden.

I'm also watching the Senate races. CO and AZ are in the bag - what's up with Susan Collins's seat in Maine? Did Gideon pull off the upset. Did Cunningham beat Tillis, has this been called? That was a needed pickup.

Please remember that in the event of a 50-50 tie, the VP votes to break it. A Democratic VP (Kamala) gets the win. We add DC as state early on, we have the majority.

PA governor just tweeted that there's still over 1M mail-in ballots to count.

Biden is currently at 2,807,917

Trump at 2,095,895

Trump would need 800,000 of the 1,000,000 remaining votes to win Pennsylvania. The odds of that are almost nil.

Maine has only counted 60% of its vote r493, per the NYT just now, and there's only a few points separating Gideon and Collins. No one has called that race. I also don't believe GA is fully done counting, there is one runoff that will happen and a possibility of the other also going that way. by Anonymousreply 514November 4, 2020 8:07 AM

The Latinos in the Rio Grande Valley pushed Trump's margin there. Local people on twitter were saying he'll get get more of their vote than 2016, and they were right.

by Anonymousreply 515November 4, 2020 8:08 AM

Polling is accurate the vast majority of the time, and politicians and campaigns pay a lot of money for their own polling.

But pollsters underestimated the Trump vote tonight. Pollsters did take extra precautions to weight for education and non-college white voters after 2016.

But the National polls look more off in 2020 than in 2016. The National polls were pretty close in predicting Hillary would win the Popular Vote by about 2-3 points. However it looks like Biden's popular vote lead is going to be much less than what was projected. I'm disappointed int he National vote polls tonight.

I worked the polls in Las Vegas. We had a lot of mail ballots dropped off. Almost to overflow of the boxes. Also, the voting was very heavy Democratic Tuesday. We had long lines of mostly black and Hispanic younger voters. A steady stream of voters until we closed at 8PM. When we opened in the morning at 7 AM we had a glitch of the kiosk computers for an hour. So we made up the difference by staying open an extra hour because we were supposed to close at 7 PM.

by Anonymousreply 570November 4, 2020 8:31 AM

Republicans in Wisconsin mailed in 43% of ballots compared to 36% of Democrats. 94% of the count is in here and Trump is still up 4% as he has been all night. I've stated numerous times Biden wouldn't win Wisconsin but was insulted and mocked.

by Anonymousreply 571November 4, 2020 8:32 AM

Do we know anything about Nevada and Georgia?

by Anonymousreply 572November 4, 2020 8:32 AM

Meant to type "I-4 corridor" in r565.

by Anonymousreply 573November 4, 2020 8:32 AM

FUCK! Did Dems just lose Michigan? These f-ing stations are NOT updating with new results.

by Anonymousreply 574November 4, 2020 8:33 AM

The lines were ridiculously long with ethnics/Dems voting....how could Biden not have swept the states better??? Cause thousands of ballots were tossed thats why,

by Anonymousreply 575November 4, 2020 8:33 AM

Don’t worry about Nevada, it’s blue.

by Anonymousreply 576November 4, 2020 8:33 AM

Yeah, WI is not happening based on the recent data. Shame.

Can't wait for 4 more years of Trump shit show and Dems "virtue signaling" to 8 years of Ivanka Trump's presidency starting 2024.

by Anonymousreply 577November 4, 2020 8:34 AM
Obviously, a lot of people lied when asked who they would vote for.

That’s possible that some people responded with a false answer, but other possibilities are that pollsters are not reaching or including some part of the Trump electorate, and the pollsters are overly manipulating the raw numbers to get a result that seems more accurate to them.

by Anonymousreply 578November 4, 2020 8:34 AM
've stated numerous times Biden wouldn't win Wisconsin but was insulted and mocked.

R571, oh your poor little snowflake. Insulted and mocked on a site known for mocking everything? The horror of it all!

by Anonymousreply 579November 4, 2020 8:34 AM

Where is the 8% of the GA vote outstanding? Is that in Fulton and the ATL area? That is potentially a lot of Democratic tally right there, but it's hard to say without knowing what's outstanding and where.

Same with WI and MI - it all matters where that outstanding vote is from. We knew the mail-in ballots would be counted last in many cases, and those are heavily Dem.

by Anonymousreply 580November 4, 2020 8:35 AM

CNN finally calls HAWAII for BIDEN.

by Anonymousreply 581November 4, 2020 8:35 AM

The rightwingers are always whining about being insulted on Datalounge. It's because they don't know what Datalounge really IS, they're just clueless trolls with thin skins.

by Anonymousreply 582November 4, 2020 8:36 AM
I get that there are evangelicals in the Latino community who would love Trump but the exit poll numbers seem way, way off.

That's not it. The problem is everyone keeps lumping Cubans in Florida into a global definition of Hispanics. They are almost opposite on the spectrum of politics. AKA Marco Rubio. The reason is not religion, it's the fact that most of them are imagrants from a dictatorship country that used socialism to control them. Trump's team knows that and blanketed the radio down there with adds in spanish calling Biden a socialist.

The other reason which is more fucked up is their right to citizenship. If you leave Cuba for the US, once you set foot on land, you have the right to stay indefinably. Basically become a citizen. No boarder, no papers, no background checks nothing. They have this fucked up sense of entitlement and free ride other immigrants like say those from Mexico don't have. In fact they look down at them as they are "illegals" but they are the righteous citizens. They do not identify with them at all.

The media needs to stop calling them Hispanics, they really need to be called Cubans.

by Anonymousreply 583November 4, 2020 8:36 AM

r571, thank you for trying to get the word out ahead of time.

by Anonymousreply 584November 4, 2020 8:36 AM

DAMN IT! CNN shows Dump ahead in popular votes.

by Anonymousreply 585November 4, 2020 8:36 AM

Biden takes lead in Wisconsin by about 2000 votes.

Republicans are excellent at messaging. They threw out the word socialist which is untrue about the Democrats. But the Democrats don’t say anything to counter that charge. Republicans are corporate welfare socialists.

by Anonymousreply 587November 4, 2020 8:38 AM

The WI results for Biden reflect some of the Milwaukee ballots, I don't think we know yet if it's ALL of their absentee ballots.

Remember other blue areas in WI aren't in yet and will probably add to Biden's lead.

Wisconsin is NOT lost, folks.

by Anonymousreply 588November 4, 2020 8:38 AM

Well there you go r586! It's very thin but we'll take it. There's still about 5% left to count.

Again, let's WAIT until making crazy declarations.

by Anonymousreply 589November 4, 2020 8:39 AM

CNN reporting Biden=224 Electric Dump=213

by Anonymousreply 590November 4, 2020 8:39 AM

Not a snowflake dear, that all you whiny bitches r582. I know exactly where I am, so you can fuck right off. Here, I TOLD YOU SO! You like that better? SEVERAL of us called a Trump victory but no, you knew better! Now you're eating shit, how does it taste?

by Anonymousreply 591November 4, 2020 8:39 AM

R580, Karl Rove thinks that GA could spoil Trump party. That's because almost all outstanding votes are in Atlanta and Fulton.

by Anonymousreply 592November 4, 2020 8:40 AM
it's the fact that most of them are imagrants from a dictatorship country that used socialism to control them. Trump's team knows that and blanketed the radio down there with adds in spanish calling Biden a socialist.

Someone in the previous threads described how when they set foot in FL, they immediately start asking about welfare and benefits. Why doesn't anyone tell them that they're literally asking for socialism?

by Anonymousreply 593November 4, 2020 8:40 AM

Well, this just proves to me that pollsters are worthless and full of shit. They' re not worth the money.

Also, Democrats have a problem. I don't know what it is but it's a problem. Were I a Republican, I'd actually feel pretty good. Republicans are holding the Senate, Judges, Supreme Court... life is good!

by Anonymousreply 594November 4, 2020 8:41 AM

R574 Source?

by Anonymousreply 595November 4, 2020 8:41 AM

What states must Biden win to get 270?

by Anonymousreply 596November 4, 2020 8:41 AM

Did Trump get NC? I’ve been keeping up with Reddit but they are giving me anxiety. Praying Michigan turns blue!

by Anonymousreply 597November 4, 2020 8:41 AM

That's what I thought r592, if it's all in Fulton and ATL then Biden has a VERY REAL SHOT there in GA still.

Everyone needs to read the board and sit tight, it ain't over until it's over and I'm going to keep repeating that.

by Anonymousreply 598November 4, 2020 8:41 AM

Nevada leaning Biden.

by Anonymousreply 599November 4, 2020 8:41 AM

Go ahead, stone me, but Biden was a piss poor candidate for us Dems....

by Anonymousreply 600November 4, 2020 8:42 AM

Where's the next thread guys? We need a Part 5 - thanks to anyone who's done it or will do it.

by Anonymousreply 601November 4, 2020 8:42 AM

Any news on Georgia?

by Anonymousreply 602November 4, 2020 8:42 AM

In actuality, the ballot counting has really just started in the battleground states.

by Anonymousreply 603November 4, 2020 8:42 AM

R585, Biden currently leads Trump in the National Vote by almost 2 million votes.

BIDEN 67,461,710 votes (49.9%)

TRUMP 65,483,486 votes (48.4%)

If Biden wins, Mitch won't be able to confirm any more judges starting Jan 20.

by Anonymousreply 605November 4, 2020 8:43 AM
SEVERAL of us called a Trump victory but no, you knew better! Now you're eating shit, how does it taste?

If you're rooting for Trump what the fuck are you doing on this thread? No one is eating shit here Rethug moron, because nothing is done yet and Biden is UP in the electoral count right not, inching close to 270.

by Anonymousreply 606November 4, 2020 8:44 AM

BREAKING Biden takes the lead in Wisconsin:

Biden 1,551,268 49.29% Trump 1,549,127 49.22%

3,147,142 votes counted. Estimated >95% in

by Anonymousreply 608November 4, 2020 8:44 AM

PollTroll at r604 that's more like it! I don't think all the CA and west coast precincts have reported raw vote totals, so that count is sure to rise a lot over the coming hours.

I wouldn't be shocked if Biden ends up a solid 3 to 4% up in the popular vote when all is said and done.

by Anonymousreply 609November 4, 2020 8:46 AM

Thanks r608 see you there....

by Anonymousreply 610November 4, 2020 8:47 AM
Someone in the previous threads described how when they set foot in FL, they immediately start asking about welfare and benefits. Why doesn't anyone tell them that they're literally asking for socialism?

Exactly. Because the Cuban population down there dose not really care about actual ethics or philosophical consistency. It's all about whatever I can get and fuck everyone else. Sort of like low level criminal behavior. There's a reason the remake of Scarface went from being about Italians to Cubans.

by Anonymousreply 611November 4, 2020 9:02 AM

It's simpler than that R450. Conservatives own all the t.v. channels. This is one area they do not delegate.
