Election Night 2020: Part 3

Come on Dems!

by Anonymousreply 603November 4, 2020 4:12 AM

I'm having serious 2016 PTSD flashbacks

Trafalgar was right again. Still waiting for them to be proven wrong.

by Anonymousreply 3November 4, 2020 1:50 AM

Gee I wonder if young people and minorities, the 'Obama coalition', would have turned out for Bernie or Warren?

by Anonymousreply 4November 4, 2020 1:51 AM

You do know black voters are skeptical of Biden too. He’s said many unnerving comments and has a bad history with black people too.

You can’t be that shocked.

by Anonymousreply 5November 4, 2020 1:53 AM

R1, I was just thing the same thing. It was around the same time in the evening back in 2016 when we began to sense things were going downhill. I keep looking at Maddow for her facial expression to reflect the pending doom.

by Anonymousreply 6November 4, 2020 1:54 AM

News is saying that so far the POLLS HAVE BEEN WRONG!

This is what I have been saying on here for weeks but everybody ignored me. The polls are wrong again!!!!!!! They are worthless.

by Anonymousreply 7November 4, 2020 1:55 AM

CNN calls COLORADO SENATE race for HICKENLOOPER.

by Anonymousreply 8November 4, 2020 1:55 AM

YES, the real losers of this are Nate Silvers of this world.

by Anonymousreply 9November 4, 2020 1:56 AM

Unreal

by Anonymousreply 10November 4, 2020 1:56 AM

Minnesota called for Biden

by Anonymousreply 11November 4, 2020 1:56 AM

Took them long enough.

by Anonymousreply 12November 4, 2020 1:57 AM

What. a. huge. fucken. mess!

by Anonymousreply 13November 4, 2020 1:57 AM

Stolen - again.

by Anonymousreply 14November 4, 2020 1:57 AM

Lindsey G is back!

by Anonymousreply 15November 4, 2020 1:57 AM

So can Biden still win if Trump wins Ohio & Florida?

by Anonymousreply 16November 4, 2020 1:58 AM

Fucking Lindsey twat

by Anonymousreply 17November 4, 2020 1:58 AM

We've been hearing for at least the last 20 years that Arizona, Texas and Georgia were going to flip. While AZ is a possibility, the other two, once again, are NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. So tired of you delusional people.

by Anonymousreply 18November 4, 2020 1:58 AM

Yes r16, but he needs to hold on to that blue wall.

by Anonymousreply 19November 4, 2020 1:59 AM

R16 - No. and PA will go to Trump also.

by Anonymousreply 20November 4, 2020 1:59 AM

Yes, R16. He can. But he can’t lose PA, WI, to Michigan.

by Anonymousreply 21November 4, 2020 1:59 AM

I have not seen anything about MN

by Anonymousreply 22November 4, 2020 1:59 AM

No he can’t. R16

by Anonymousreply 23November 4, 2020 1:59 AM

So far this is just too similar to 2016. Russian hacking again?

by Anonymousreply 24November 4, 2020 1:59 AM

R18. You are correct. Not looking good.

by Anonymousreply 25November 4, 2020 1:59 AM

I am vacillating between wanting to go to sleep / staving off an anxiety attack

by Anonymousreply 26November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

[quote] So can Biden still win if Trump wins Ohio & Florida?

Yes.

NOTHING unexpected has happen yet. Nothing.

Some disappointing things, but the polls have not been wrong.

by Anonymousreply 27November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

r11 AP hasn't called MN.

More states closing now.

by Anonymousreply 28November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

Susan is looking less concerned this evening. Bitch.

by Anonymousreply 29November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

Gosh. Why are the polls always wrong in the Republicans’ favor??

Hmmmm.

by Anonymousreply 30November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

If Biden chose a white man as his VP he would be doing better.

by Anonymousreply 31November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

And as for the Russians, it seems to have worked out very well for them.

by Anonymousreply 32November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

Reminder: you need 270 votes to win. It does not need to be a landslide. The Biden campaign as almost exclusively focused on the upper Midwest for a reason. The southern states were always very optimistic. You. Only. Need. 270. Despite what Trump says.

by Anonymousreply 33November 4, 2020 2:00 AM

OMG, where is drunk Don Lemon when you need him?

by Anonymousreply 34November 4, 2020 2:01 AM

r20 is full of shit. Biden can still win if he holds on to Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania (the industrial mid west).

Trump has not flipped any Hillary 2016 states yet (and hopefully he won't).

by Anonymousreply 35November 4, 2020 2:01 AM

by Anonymousreply 38November 4, 2020 2:02 AM

There's no more debating - here comes my THIRD vokda/soju martini. Extra dirty - like these results.

by Anonymousreply 39November 4, 2020 2:02 AM

Idaho just closing. Dump really needs to win Idaho.

Unbelievable that nasty little queen Lindsey managed to get reelected!

I think I am going to step away from this for a while and go outside for a walk.

I am beginning to seriously think it looks like Dump is going to get another 4 years.

by Anonymousreply 40November 4, 2020 2:02 AM

I’m watching Judge Judy

by Anonymousreply 41November 4, 2020 2:02 AM

Fuck every fucking poll that has ever been taken.

by Anonymousreply 42November 4, 2020 2:02 AM

The Biden campaign’s strategy has always been 270. Anything else would be a plus and they knew it. Why do you think Biden spent his weekend there instead of Texas?

by Anonymousreply 43November 4, 2020 2:02 AM

R33, Biden does not want close races. They dont want anything up for court challenge where they will LOSE.

by Anonymousreply 44November 4, 2020 2:02 AM

So Biden is at 131, he needs AZ, CA. WA. OR, NV to get to 222, making him 48 short. It looks like he is loosing WI, Mi, OH, and PA. he has to win Texas.

Looking at a trump presidency Y'all.

by Anonymousreply 45November 4, 2020 2:03 AM

I don't know about NC. Yes Union County has yet to report it's totals, but looking at the rest of the counties the ones that are at less than 90% are the populous Democrat leaning ones. Plus Union County doesn't have that much of a population.

by Anonymousreply 46November 4, 2020 2:03 AM

It's 2016 all over again.

by Anonymousreply 47November 4, 2020 2:03 AM

We’re fucked in NC. Which means we lost the senate. Nothing will be done for two years even if Biden wins!

by Anonymousreply 48November 4, 2020 2:03 AM

Biden is going to win... but he may not break 300 in the EC, so, yeah, a disappointment.

But remember the goal is to replace Trump with Biden. Still on track to do that with votes, if not from legal challenges.

by Anonymousreply 49November 4, 2020 2:03 AM

I’m watching The Good Witch. America seems nice there.

by Anonymousreply 50November 4, 2020 2:04 AM

R35 - but Biden won't. Just facing shitty facts and not wasting time on false hopes.

by Anonymousreply 51November 4, 2020 2:04 AM

[quote]OMG, where is drunk Don Lemon when you need him?

Probably with Diane Sawyer.

by Anonymousreply 52November 4, 2020 2:04 AM

Biden is ahead in NC by only 6K votes. NC is lost to Trump as the same votes remain out and he is winning same-day votes.

by Anonymousreply 53November 4, 2020 2:04 AM

Y’all, Philly isn’t counting any more mailed ballots tonight so I don’t think PA will be counted.

by Anonymousreply 54November 4, 2020 2:04 AM

Yes R24 I truly believe there is Russian vote tampering going on.

by Anonymousreply 55November 4, 2020 2:04 AM

And Ohio is gone. Biden down by 3 now

by Anonymousreply 56November 4, 2020 2:04 AM

I just took a xanax.

by Anonymousreply 57November 4, 2020 2:05 AM

I knew that hick James Carville was full of shit last night when he said the race would be called for Biden at this time.

by Anonymousreply 58November 4, 2020 2:05 AM

I don't care if Biden gets 271 R55. As long as he wins.

by Anonymousreply 59November 4, 2020 2:05 AM

[quote] It looks like he is loosing WI, Mi, OH, and PA. he has to win Texas.

Not even remotely accurate. And, it’s losing not “loosing.”

by Anonymousreply 60November 4, 2020 2:05 AM

Trump takes goes ahead in OH. So far, Biden has not picked up any state from 2016.

by Anonymousreply 61November 4, 2020 2:05 AM

by Anonymousreply 65November 4, 2020 2:06 AM

Ah, fuck off, Kornacki, with that "Biden can win Florida" bullshit!

by Anonymousreply 66November 4, 2020 2:06 AM

Did John King just say that if Trump keeps Virginia he wins?

by Anonymousreply 67November 4, 2020 2:06 AM

by Anonymousreply 71November 4, 2020 2:07 AM

Hi, your "concern troll" here. You know the one that said that Trump winning was a more than a pipe dream. As in 2016, I was called a concern troll, banished from the Democratic Underground for being realistic.

After this, the full on end of "Centrist" Democrats and insanely old people running for office and not getting their hands dirty. It was another knife fight and the Democrats came with a spork.

by Anonymousreply 72November 4, 2020 2:07 AM

r67 Virginia was called for Biden a long time ago.

by Anonymousreply 73November 4, 2020 2:07 AM

by Anonymousreply 79November 4, 2020 2:08 AM

This will obviously not be a blowout, but Biden can still win it. And a win is still a win even if it is relatively close in the electoral college.

Focus on what matters fellow DLers.

But yeah, the polls were wrong AGAIN. I'm never following polls ever again.

by Anonymousreply 80November 4, 2020 2:08 AM

Wow...Maricopa County big vote for Biden. These are early votes. This is significant.

by Anonymousreply 81November 4, 2020 2:08 AM

Is it me or is everything moving more slowly tonight than normal? Usually a solid projection can be made by the 11pm hour. It seems like this will go on well after midnight.

by Anonymousreply 82November 4, 2020 2:08 AM

How R55? What are they doing? How are they tampering with the votes?

I think it's much more likely that this is who the American people truly are and who they are voting for. Important to note that just because Dump only gets 40% approval ratings - that doesn't mean other conservative Americans who don't approve of him don't hold their nose and vote GOP anyway. For them anything is better than having the Dems in power. Others don't care about what Dump says or does - they only care about the economy and what they can get financially.

I think the results are the American people voting honestly and showing exactly who they are. Cunts.

by Anonymousreply 83November 4, 2020 2:09 AM

I know we wanted a blow out BUT so far Biden is putting up a strong fight in states which I personally wasn't hoping for like OH, NC, TX and AZ. Lets wait and see.

by Anonymousreply 84November 4, 2020 2:09 AM

Here's the thing, CLOSE is not a WIN.

by Anonymousreply 85November 4, 2020 2:09 AM

The pollsters are going to use the excuse of so many early voters as the reason they were so wrong.

by Anonymousreply 86November 4, 2020 2:10 AM

[quote] Virginia was called for Biden a long time ago.

No, it wasn’t. They haven’t counted the early vote yet and won’t until 11:30.

by Anonymousreply 87November 4, 2020 2:10 AM

NC is still very very close.

by Anonymousreply 88November 4, 2020 2:10 AM

Maricopa County has not voted for a Dem since Truman in 1948.

Biden has a good chance to win it tonight.

by Anonymousreply 89November 4, 2020 2:10 AM

George Stephanoupolus said on ABC that this looks alot like 2016

by Anonymousreply 90November 4, 2020 2:10 AM

Polls are dead in the water R80. There should be a lot of pollsters out of a job tomorrow.

I would change your DL name PollTroll.

by Anonymousreply 91November 4, 2020 2:10 AM

Remember that Biden can win if he flips Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. He can lose both PA and Ohio.

We won't know the results of all this for a few more days.

And that's the saddest part of it -- that this country is so sick it can't decide between Biden and the worst human being on earth.

by Anonymousreply 92November 4, 2020 2:10 AM

This gentleman really sums up why this election was so important.

I am saddened by this... What will this country look like in 2 years, 4 years????

The numbers for Biden in MI, PA and WI not looking great. He has to win them all to win, unless he picks up AZ.

by Anonymousreply 96November 4, 2020 2:11 AM

R78. I don't blame Blacks but the facts are that the black mail-in vote in GA was lower than with Stacy Abrahams. There was hope that there would be a significant increase in black same day voters. Did not happen.

by Anonymousreply 97November 4, 2020 2:11 AM

Cortez in for NY

by Anonymousreply 98November 4, 2020 2:11 AM

Maricopa, Pima and Yuma to some extent will be Biden. The rest of the state are republican goblins.

by Anonymousreply 99November 4, 2020 2:11 AM

There would be something fitting if John McCain’s state was decisive in evicting Trump from the White House. Fingers crossed!

by Anonymousreply 104November 4, 2020 2:12 AM

Somebody please explain to me how any states can project who won any of the races when the gazillion absentee votes aren't counted yet. All we've heard for the past few weeks is that it'll take all week to count the absentee votes.

Does voting early mean NOTHING if the race seems to be determined by the same-day votes?

by Anonymousreply 109November 4, 2020 2:13 AM

I need to know about Joy Reid's blouse. Please help.

by Anonymousreply 110November 4, 2020 2:13 AM

R74: That is the concern...everytime Biden looks strong in an crucial red/purple state, Trump suddenly comes up and surpasses him... Just like in 2016...It seems the Russians are even using the same exact algorithm. Why change the hacking code if it worked before?🤷‍♂️

by Anonymousreply 111November 4, 2020 2:13 AM

There is a shy trump voter. It’s called Russians hacking voter machines. Sorry but there is no way that almost 100% of Election Day vote in key states is going to Trump. NC is fishy. We need the UN to help us.

by Anonymousreply 112November 4, 2020 2:13 AM

WI is getting closer. Momentum appears to be with Biden. Let's hope.

by Anonymousreply 113November 4, 2020 2:13 AM

I was watching Spectrum News and they were interviewing a woman who said there have been many reports of very scary “intimidation” happening in some states but there is no coverage for it.

They seemed to rush her off after.

I assume why so many black people are staying home in many Midwestern and Southern states is due to that.

by Anonymousreply 114November 4, 2020 2:14 AM

Why can Maddow never just ask a question? It's always "let me ask you a question" then her blathering for a minute before she actually asks it.

by Anonymousreply 115November 4, 2020 2:15 AM

I agree with the hacking theory. I believe they are padding the rural votes a few thousand here and a few thousand there.

by Anonymousreply 116November 4, 2020 2:15 AM

How many times have we had election interference? Why would we think this would be different?

Bullshit. I don’t believe anything anymore.

Biden ahead in AZ by 9 points with 74% of the vote in.

by Anonymousreply 156November 4, 2020 2:24 AM

Yes, the rallies worked. Biden did the responsible thing, but that's not what always wins.

by Anonymousreply 157November 4, 2020 2:24 AM

What's taking Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania so fucking long?

by Anonymousreply 158November 4, 2020 2:24 AM

R83 has it:

[quote] I think it's much more likely that this is who the American people truly are and who they are voting for. Cunts.

This is who people are. People who like Trump. There’s no conspiracy.

by Anonymousreply 159November 4, 2020 2:24 AM

I think what worked is fear that Democrats would lead to riots and socialist policies. And of course racism. The country is fucked. Now they will go even further with greed and corruption and turning in science.

by Anonymousreply 161November 4, 2020 2:24 AM

That's good PollTroll, BIden needs Arizona.

by Anonymousreply 163November 4, 2020 2:25 AM

Is it more likely that thousands of people live in these tiny rural towns or the vote totals are being hacked in real time by foreign actors in order to pad the rural areas?

by Anonymousreply 164November 4, 2020 2:25 AM

All of them are full of shit R153.

If anything comes of this debacle it should be that polls and polling and projections and talking heads on tv shows are all full of total horseshit and only morons pay any attention to any of it.

Your sweet little grandma who thinks that a 5G signal will control her brain, probably kept her vote decision to herself, as your cookie baking mom that watches FOX and CNN and seemed so reasonable did, or that neighbor that has no issues with gay people, (well maybe a little), did, the stupid big bodybuilder on IG that shakes his ass and tells everyone to vote also, and the cool guy at the office pre-pandemic did but told you he had an open mind.

The real truth is people lie. All the time.

Nate Silver should have that tattooed on his forehead.

Early call in NH for Biden. White people are going for Biden. He’s fine. He will win the upper Midwest.

How the fuck can a nation stand in line FOR HOURS AND HOURS and what, ...vote for Trump?

None of this makes any sense.

by Anonymousreply 180November 4, 2020 2:28 AM

I just turned the TV off. I am getting way too many flashbacks of 2016. If Turd wins again, at least I won't have to see it live, and if Biden somehow pulls through, it will be a pleasant surprise tomorrow because I think I'm going to go to bed now.

[quote]Trump is leading by more than 2 million in the popular vote.

California will change that.

by Anonymousreply 182November 4, 2020 2:29 AM

I spent time in the last four weeks in MN, IA, SD, NE, MI, and WI. I kept telling everyone that the pollsters were wrong. But when talking to those outside of the cities and some suburban areas, you would learn that they are fearful of liberal ideas such as LGBTQ, abortion, socialism, and the violence that occurred with many of the riots. Right or wrong, BLM was blamed. We can continue to put our heads in the sand like ostriches and blame them for being bigots, racists or whatever, but we need to begin to listen and quit calling them just flyovers.

by Anonymousreply 183November 4, 2020 2:29 AM

by Anonymousreply 201November 4, 2020 2:32 AM

Polls aren’t designed to reflect public mood, but designed to influence it.

by Anonymousreply 202November 4, 2020 2:32 AM

No one wants to hear this tonight, probably, but the fact that we're seeing QAnon, far-right, and even Nazi candidates win at state levels means that even in Biden wins, we have a HUGE problem in the US right now.

If it's true that the Hispanic vote in FL was lost because some Bernie stan flew a Che Guevara flag a few months ago, that's another indicator that we have some serious issues that probably go back to propaganda and media manipulation.

by Anonymousreply 203November 4, 2020 2:32 AM

by Anonymousreply 227November 4, 2020 2:37 AM

Guys- At this point it (in my mind only) it appears 60/40 in Trumps favor. If we lose this. For me, it brings me some peace. NO more illusions and no more judging or believing in others to make myself feel better. 1/2 of this country is officially FUCKED. But evil never wins, ultimately. I think MLK said that "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."

I believe that. But I will no longer trust this country or anyone but myself. I am going to have to find peace in nature and the simple things.

That's my personal goal. I am going to bed tonight at peace that a truly evil man has been reelected president. That will not affect how I treat others. But any hope I had outside of myself is gone. Even if we win. But I refuse to judge these folks who voted this guy in. They will not exist in my world. Done with CNN. Done with being drawn in to any of Trump's latest gaffes, evil, offensive quotes, or his collective pig of a family.

They don't exist. What a journey. 2024- Maybe by then, this country will finally have suffered enough to find another way. Again, even if we win- this race being THIS close is mind boggling to me. Let's see what tomorrow brings..

by Anonymousreply 228November 4, 2020 2:37 AM

That would be picked up in the polling R212.

Look, either pretty much every single poll in the United States is using flawed methodology despite years of work, experience and tweaking, or there's something irregular going on with the vote.

Pollsters and pundits were telling us for weeks that we just have 2016 PTSD and the polling is trustworthy. We're seeing the polls were wrong. Again.

They were wrong in 2016 because of cheating and hacking. Any chance that's not the case this time, too?

by Anonymousreply 262November 4, 2020 2:43 AM

Is Georgia still in play? Nate Siver’s site:

Thinking about Georgia, Trump has a slight upper hand, at least according to The New York Times needle. With 55 percent of the expected vote in, the Times gives him about a 4 in 5 shot of carrying the Peach State. But the good news for Biden is that he still has a chance, probably thanks to the shifts we’re seeing in the Atlanta metro area. Suburban/exurban counties such as Cherokee, Fayette and Newton all have 95 percent or more of their expected vote reporting, and in each, Biden has improved on Clinton’s margin by 11 to 12 points

by Anonymousreply 263November 4, 2020 2:44 AM

No, what you're saying is "if EVERYONE hated Trump, Biden would win in a landslide."

No one is saying everyone hates him. We all know Deplorables, QAnoners, racists, that kind of person loves him. And it looks like there is a serious problem in our country with far-right conspiracy fascists winning elections at the state level. It's a huge problem.

But Trump has never had an approval rating above 48%, with the exception of the day he was inaugurated when he was at 51%. Less than half the country approves of him, and it's more often closer to 60% of the country not liking him.

by Anonymousreply 274November 4, 2020 2:46 AM

Again, guys, it's not over.

it's already not good r277. More than half, or nearly half the country is profoundly stupid and actually likes the stupidest, most fucked up, most grifty, most needy, most ridiculous president in American history. Whatever happens tonight, and we can still dodge a bullet, there is a bullet and it is pretty large and crazy.

by Anonymousreply 284November 4, 2020 2:49 AM

It really bothers me that a lot of Trump voters think most Democrats are child sex traffickers, satan worshipers, and communists. So they support Trump. You should have to be a rational thinking person to vote.

by Anonymousreply 285November 4, 2020 2:50 AM

R276 He's beating the levels the polls universally set in the last month. It sucks.

Biden will get over 270... but this is going to be a mess with Trump and the crazies claiming that he should have won, challenge votes etc.

by Anonymousreply 286November 4, 2020 2:50 AM

It's definitely not over r283, far from it. Biden could definitely still win, hope is not lost.

I think people are depressed that this is such a close race though.

[quote]A reporting error in North Carolina falsely gave Trump more votes than he really had.

Da. Let's call it "ripporting errer."

by Anonymousreply 288November 4, 2020 2:51 AM

The country is very divided, and this was ALWAYS going to be a very close race. So far nothing has changed from 2016, except Biden is ahead in Arizona, which is good. This is going to come down to a few counties in Pennsylvania that determine the winner.

by Anonymousreply 289November 4, 2020 2:52 AM

[quote]Biden is down in NE-2. That is not a good sign at all.

Actually it is. It's virtually tied now, a few hundred votes separating, and it's all votes from today, which should favor Trump, but Biden is holding his own.

No early voting accounted for yet. That favors Biden.

by Anonymousreply 290November 4, 2020 2:52 AM

Well that's been an old joke for decades, r285. someone yelled out to Adlai Stevenson in the 1950s: "You have the vote of every decent, thinking American, Sir." He yelled back: "Thanks, but I need a majority."

by Anonymousreply 291November 4, 2020 2:53 AM

I just truly don’t understand how anyone could like Trump. Even if you’re a racist piece of shit you can still do better than Trump.

LEE DRUTMAN

NOV. 3, 10:46 PM

As we watch the results tonight, it’s important to keep in mind that in any other presidential democracy, this would not be a particularly close election. The only thing making this election so close is the Electoral College. Similarly, the only thing making the Senate so close is the small-state bias. If Trump ekes out an Electoral College victory, it will be the third time in six elections that a Republican has won the Electoral College and the presidency while losing the popular vote. Republicans have won the popular vote only once since 1988. And Republican senators have represented a majority of Americans only for one Congress in the past 40 years, despite having a Senate majority more than half that time.

GA and PA just said won't be counting a lot of the ballots today AT ALL. So GA and PA is not going to be called tonight.

ARIZONA counting seems to have stopped at 75% for a while now.

Well, there goes any future caring about hurricanes damaging the Gulf Coast states.

Might as well change our name to Qamerica.

Team Trump has the fix in, in PA, I fear. Seven Red counties have stated they will not begin counting their mail-in ballots until Wednesday. Maybe to wait to see how many more Trump needs by midnight tonight?

So many gullibles. So many racists. So many thugs. So many ignoramuses.

It was more than Republicanism's being "all a lie." AMERICA has been, and is, all a lie. A child's mythology.

Four more years of having the truth called fake. Of science called a hoax. Of reporters called the enemies of the people and neo-Nazis called fine people.

by Anonymousreply 305November 4, 2020 2:57 AM

Biden is also holding very well in Iowa!!!

by Anonymousreply 306November 4, 2020 2:57 AM

Good to hear PollTroll. There do seem to be positive signs in the Senate still. This is a frustrating night, but nobody knows that it won't be exactly what we hoped for in the end.

by Anonymousreply 307November 4, 2020 2:58 AM

[quote]He's beating the levels the polls universally set in the last month

There are no universal polls for the swing states There were always some showing Trump winning FL, GA, TX, IA, etc. And some showing Biden ahead. And a lot had a difference between the two that was within the margin or error.

He is not overperforming; Biden is doing better than Clinton did in all those places, which is a good sign for WI, MI, PA, AZ, etc.

by Anonymousreply 308November 4, 2020 2:58 AM

Happened in two counties apparently, R304, and I'm not sure it was an accident either.

by Anonymousreply 328November 4, 2020 3:05 AM

by Anonymousreply 329November 4, 2020 3:05 AM

[quote]VIRGINIA — The absentee and early votes get reported as a single precinct in each county. When Loudon Co. reported theirs, it flipped to a 2-1 Biden lead. Same thing will happen in Fairfax, Richmond, Norfolk, etc. The state will end up blue.

Guys, I think we're going to be okay.

by Anonymousreply 416November 4, 2020 3:26 AM

Whoa. Fox calling AZ for Biden

by Anonymousreply 417November 4, 2020 3:26 AM

Well, so far, just based on votes counted, over 50 million of your fellow Americans have voted for one of the worst human beings ever to walk the planet. How does that make you feel?

by Anonymousreply 418November 4, 2020 3:26 AM

There seriously needs to be a series of hits over the next month. McConnell, Graham, Collins, Perdue, Gaetz and that fucking cunt ACB. How is it so many dems over the years have been assassinated and barely any Repubs? We have no fucking balls.

[quote]I just saw on the Yahoo web page that Biden currently has 209 electoral votes and Trump only has 118 even though Trump has about a million more popular votes.

Trump will get Florida and Texas which will give him a beg electoral vote boost.

Biden just has to hold the blue wall now and he will be the next president of the USA.

Cheers. : )

by Anonymousreply 426November 4, 2020 3:29 AM

With 30% counted, Biden has double the number of votes of Trump in CA. (3.4 mill vs. 1.6 mill.)

by Anonymousreply 429November 4, 2020 3:29 AM

As someone said on one of these stations.... there is an international trends of the working class, lower educated, who are left behind and pissed off about the "elites" .. trending to fascism. It happened in the 1930s, right?

But Biden will still win this... just unfortunately it's going to be close.

by Anonymousreply 430November 4, 2020 3:30 AM

Yeah r419, I've wondered about that myself.

by Anonymousreply 443November 4, 2020 3:33 AM

[quote] It appears that Bullock WON'T win in Montana. Senate is slipping away.

I'll say it again: NOTHING has happened outside of mainstream polling. NOTHING.

It may feel bleak because we were optimistic of a landslide, but the reason the bad news is flooding in early is because it was predicted to happen anyway and we were choosing to be positive.

Still on track to win the White House, Senate and House.

by Anonymousreply 444November 4, 2020 3:33 AM

Trump doesn’t care about the popular vote. He barely cares about the Electoral College. He’s not democratic, at all, in any sense of the word.

by Anonymousreply 445November 4, 2020 3:33 AM

R438, that’s with none of the big cities yet.

by Anonymousreply 446November 4, 2020 3:33 AM

We're fucked. 4 more years of the orange idiot.

by Anonymousreply 447November 4, 2020 3:34 AM

Biden has now flipped a Trump red state from 2016 (Arizona). That's significant people.

by Anonymousreply 448November 4, 2020 3:34 AM

No one gives a shit about the popular vote? Well, why even bother voting

by Anonymousreply 449November 4, 2020 3:34 AM

[quote]I just saw on the Yahoo web page that Biden currently has 209 electoral votes and Trump only has 118 even though Trump has about a million more popular votes.

You are seeing projected Electoral College votes. But not all the popular votes from there. Those millions have not been counted yet--the polls just closed in the west. Remember in 2016, California's popular vote totals weren't known until the second week of December. And many places, as you know, are still counting early votes or mailed votes or polling-place votes.

The popular vote isn't real accurate now, and won't match the Electoral College votes.

by Anonymousreply 450November 4, 2020 3:34 AM

thanks r444. Jeebus, does it really need saying on this site: Don't be such a goddamn MARY!!!

by Anonymousreply 452November 4, 2020 3:35 AM

Ignore the doomsayers and the faux suicidalists.

This was always going to be close. There were a ton of toss-up states and we don't know where they stand -- some counted early votes already, some haven't started yet.

by Anonymousreply 453November 4, 2020 3:35 AM

Don't pay attention to MI, WI, and PA votes. They skew heavily GOP because these states haven't even touched all early ballots.

But watch out for GA, it may surprise like AZ.

by Anonymousreply 454November 4, 2020 3:35 AM

Louis Jacobson (Cook Political Report):

Still early in PA, but FWIW, in Lackawanna Co. (Scranton, Biden's ancestral home), Biden is leading Trump by 9. Clinton beat Trump by 3.5 points in 2016. Also, with most votes counted, Biden's raw votes in the county increased from 51,000 to 61,000.

Is this the same Bill Weir with the crooked nose who did all that reporting from Afghanistan?

by Anonymousreply 459November 4, 2020 3:37 AM

I'm watching various live stream tv and cable networks election results shows.

While the focus and attention is most definitely on the incoming results - the mood and language used has changed ever so slightly. In an imperceptive way, the conversation is now turning to who hasn't voted when certain results were expected, why Biden hasn't carried various states which he was thought to be able to and why Dump voter turn out has been larger and more tenacious than polls projected... There are quite a few exit poll interviews with voters.

Based on past experience and what I can see directly in front of me - I'm calling it now.

> Trump will be returned for 4 more years by a slim margin possibly not a slim margin.

> Biden will possibly win the popular vote (but that means little to nothing when the election is decided on electoral college votes).

> Dems have the house already at least - Pelosi has announced.

> GOP will control the senate.

> Final results will take days to be collated but those will be the results.

I would be very happy to be completely wrong, but basically it's 2016 all over again. This is who America is folks. The American people have shown their true colors.

That's all.

by Anonymousreply 460November 4, 2020 3:37 AM

Again, am I the only one who has been paying attention? We won’t know shit from the “blue wall” until at least 5am, from PA nothing for a few days. I’m patient. I just want Biden to win.

by Anonymousreply 461November 4, 2020 3:37 AM

by Anonymousreply 462November 4, 2020 3:38 AM

There is PLENTY of reason to vote no matter what state you're in! Local and state-level elections are hugely important.

by Anonymousreply 495November 4, 2020 3:45 AM

Can someone catch me up... what are the current EC numbers and what are the paths Joe needs now?

by Anonymousreply 496November 4, 2020 3:45 AM

The fear about this being so close is that Trump could, and likely would, contest if Biden wins. Then if it goes to the Supreme Court, unless a miracle happens they'd give him the win.

Really hope I'm wrong. :(

by Anonymousreply 497November 4, 2020 3:45 AM

We were pretty sure by now in 2016, yes. It's much closer this year plus we have the pandemic causing delays due to absentee ballot counting.

by Anonymousreply 498November 4, 2020 3:45 AM

by Anonymousreply 516November 4, 2020 3:49 AM

R507 yes. Florida does that. The southern states do. But the northern states it’s the opposite. In the main 3 states they count very slowly. That’s why everyone is freaking out even tho ALL election officials from those states have been telling us for months to prepare for this.

by Anonymousreply 517November 4, 2020 3:50 AM

And let's be honest here, no one was planning to get Ohio. We knew Florida was going to iffy and TX was a longshot. GA and NC haven't been called. Just calm down and wait to start blaming until we know the full picture.

by Anonymousreply 552November 4, 2020 3:57 AM

Fox is always the first to call a race.

Biden is clearly favored to win Arizona, but other networks are more cautious.

by Anonymousreply 553November 4, 2020 3:57 AM

We do not have a real democracy. We have an electoral college.

by Anonymousreply 554November 4, 2020 3:57 AM

r517 people talk shit about Florida today and have for years, but the northern states need to take notes about how to count early and absentee votes. Here's a hint; you dont wait until fucking election day. If they followed Florida's method this thing could have been called tonight and we all could sleep peacefully!

by Anonymousreply 555November 4, 2020 3:57 AM

NBC just called Ohio for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 556November 4, 2020 3:58 AM

Ohio called for trump. Fuck

by Anonymousreply 557November 4, 2020 3:58 AM

No problem R544, I noticed a bunch of rightwing shitheads I had blocked on Twitter weren't blocked tonight, like that Roosh guy. I don't know if Twitter is poorly coded or if they were doing that on purpose. Probably both.

[quote]NV and Iowa leading red

They are still voting in Nevada. No numbers released.

[quote]That Ralston Report Nevada guy is worried about Nevada going red.

He's on MSNBC right now and said no such thing.

by Anonymousreply 559November 4, 2020 3:58 AM

Milwaukee county will report their votes (around 160,000) once all ballots have been counted. It may not be until 4:00 am - 5:00 am. WI may go for Biden.

I can’t remember if I heard that from CBS, local news, or PBS. I’ve been hitting the vodka hard tonight.

p..s. I’m super pissed with the McConnell and Graham results.

by Anonymousreply 560November 4, 2020 3:58 AM

It’s over. Trump won Ohio. He won.

Trump will declare victory soon I bet.

by Anonymousreply 563November 4, 2020 4:00 AM

Trump winning Ohio was expected. Worry about WI, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

by Anonymousreply 564November 4, 2020 4:00 AM

Yes, expect him to come out and celebrate as soon as TX is officially declared for him.

by Anonymousreply 565November 4, 2020 4:01 AM

Yeah, I saw a few polls saying Ohio was competitive, but it really wasn't.

by Anonymousreply 566November 4, 2020 4:02 AM

No it was not expected. Biden campaign clearly thought they could win Ohio. That’s why Biden went there last night. This is a disaster. Trump won

[quote]No in person has called anything. Oh my god everyone. Shut the fuck up. We’ve known for months tonight would be like this. We don’t know SHIT until all votes are counted which could take awhile. My god.

That's cute R539. This is what I picture you looking like when saying "Oh my gawd..."

Where’s James carville? I thought we were all going to bed by midnight?

by Anonymousreply 570November 4, 2020 4:03 AM

um, why is someone obsessing about James Carville, and not Biden?

by Anonymousreply 571November 4, 2020 4:04 AM

Erie, PA is in the Cleveland media market. It doesn't matter which state you're in if you get the same coverage, so why not go to one first and then spend the rest of the day in the other--which is what he did.

by Anonymousreply 572November 4, 2020 4:05 AM

I don't know what the point is of repeatedly posting "everybody shut the fuck up" on a live thread about an election where results are constantly coming in. Why bother? Why even be on this thread in the first place?

by Anonymousreply 573November 4, 2020 4:05 AM

Carville on msnbc eating crow right now

by Anonymousreply 580November 4, 2020 4:07 AM

Trump is going to win.

I'm going to bed.

by Anonymousreply 581November 4, 2020 4:07 AM

r559 I know. Somebody up above set me straight. I'd been accidentally reading a Republican twitter feed.

Tell that to Pennsylvania’s REPUBLICAN Legislature who prevented the ballots from being counted until today.

by Anonymousreply 583November 4, 2020 4:07 AM

Fox just called TX for Trump

by Anonymousreply 584November 4, 2020 4:07 AM

James Carville on MSNBC. He said we would be in bed by now. He is still claiming that MI is going to Biden. PA close but will go to Biden and WI will go Biden. He now admits he goes bullish and is always for winning. So guess what....Biden is toast.

by Anonymousreply 585November 4, 2020 4:08 AM

Fox News calls Arizona for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 586November 4, 2020 4:08 AM

It looks like Atlanta hasn’t been counted yet. Could that be enough votes to turn Georgia blue?

by Anonymousreply 587November 4, 2020 4:09 AM

Virginia called for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 588November 4, 2020 4:09 AM

Texas was a given. This ain’t over until it’s over.

by Anonymousreply 589November 4, 2020 4:09 AM

If Biden wins without Ohio, gone are the days where you needed Ohio to win the White House. The campaigns spend way too much time pandering to that bumfuck state. Its time to move on to places like AZ.
