I won!

by Anonymousreply 1November 2, 2020 4:01 AM

I'm calling the election for ME!!!!

by Anonymousreply 2November 2, 2020 4:02 AM

Isn't it a little bit early to start yet?

by Anonymousreply 3November 2, 2020 4:02 AM

That's what I thought R3, but for whatever reason their coverage has started.

Right now they're breaking down the same stuff they've been breaking down for the past 3 months.

by Anonymousreply 4November 2, 2020 4:08 AM

Joy's wig is very distracting.

by Anonymousreply 5November 2, 2020 4:20 AM

First to claim victory wins.

by Anonymousreply 6November 2, 2020 4:22 AM

What a shame Chris Matthews couldn’t be along for this ride. I mainly watched for him.

Just like you and your crew of internet troll farm minions have been doing.

Take notes. Take very good notes.

by Anonymousreply 8November 2, 2020 4:28 AM

Lawrence O'Donnell spilled the beans on his show the other night and said tonight's show was a dress rehearsal.

by Anonymousreply 9November 2, 2020 4:31 AM

You sound like a fucking nutjob freak, R8.

Paranoid schizophrenic nutjob.

Get a fucking life, loser.

by Anonymousreply 10November 2, 2020 4:32 AM

Where will Diane Sawyer be on Election night? I want her and Dan Rather and no one else to give us the news.

by Anonymousreply 11November 2, 2020 4:33 AM

OP - Ballots cannot be counted until the polls close on Election Day.

Steve K. did not give us very good news about the Senate. Now I'm worried.

by Anonymousreply 13November 2, 2020 5:08 AM

Well they're counting something R12, because they've already got tallies up for different states.

by Anonymousreply 14November 2, 2020 5:12 AM

r8 is a very strange poster F & F him.

by Anonymousreply 15November 2, 2020 5:12 AM

Me too, r13

R14–they are showing the numbers of early votes cast.

by Anonymousreply 17November 2, 2020 5:14 AM

I'm a wreck, not sure how much more I can take.

by Anonymousreply 18November 2, 2020 5:17 AM

Same here, R18.

I can feel things ramping up!

by Anonymousreply 19November 2, 2020 5:26 AM

This will get repeated a lot in the next 48 hours, but I really fear for everyone's safety. Kamala, Joe, Obama, Hillary. And just about anyone in line to vote on Tuesday. The fucking country feels like it's going to explode. I have been nauseous for 2 days and I don't expect it go away. Gets in the way of my drinking.

by Anonymousreply 20November 2, 2020 5:36 AM

These people, POC. Women of color. They're won't be scared away from voting or intimidated on the streets. We owe them everything. And we're going to win.

R12, in the United States elections are run by each of the 50 states. Some states count mail in and in-person early voting as it comes in. Some states do not begin counting until Election Day.

It all depends on the state. Florida, for instance, has been counting all along. We'll find out immediately when the polls close where we stand as we wait for the rest.

by Anonymousreply 23November 2, 2020 6:00 AM

I didn't think I'd miss Chris Matthews, but I do. I wasn't like a lot of you who hate Joy Reid and was willing to give her a chance, but she sucks. She's too obnoxious. I've tried to watch her show but she's too hyper and annoying.

by Anonymousreply 24November 2, 2020 6:01 AM

I miss Chris Matthews and I like Joy Reid a lot.

by Anonymousreply 25November 2, 2020 6:04 AM

R25, she's OK with the others during election coverage, but on her own show, she's annoying.

by Anonymousreply 26November 2, 2020 6:07 AM

I like her show and I miss her on AM Joy on the weekends.

by Anonymousreply 27November 2, 2020 6:08 AM
Ballots cannot be counted until the polls close on Election Day.

Did you bother to read the article you posted, R12?

by Anonymousreply 28November 2, 2020 6:15 AM

R12, some states (including FL) start counting early. They just don't report anything until polls close on election day. But no one reports results until the polls close in their state on election day.

by Anonymousreply 29November 2, 2020 6:25 AM

R21, that is fucking disturbing.

I can see that happening in 1950, but not in 2020.

That is how far backwards Donald Trump has taken us.
I have been nauseous for 2 days and I don't expect it go away. Gets in the way of my drinking.

Lol, R20. Not me.

I'm gonna be SAUCED between now and Tuesday night.

by Anonymousreply 30November 2, 2020 6:34 AM

They haven't broken down the votes between the candidates yet, though.

by Anonymousreply 31November 2, 2020 1:28 PM

Will the anchors be on tonight?

by Anonymousreply 32November 2, 2020 1:29 PM

What r18 said, too.

But, I'm here.

by Anonymousreply 33November 2, 2020 1:32 PM

I totally agree about Joy Reid.

She's just not a good commentator.

She's a good yeller, though.

by Anonymousreply 34November 2, 2020 2:06 PM

Well if it means anything it's 2.06 am on [bold]November the 3rd [/bold]where I live. So MSNBC are right on schedule!

God I hope the results don't drag on for weeks like the 2000 election.

by Anonymousreply 35November 2, 2020 2:08 PM

Don't worry, R35.

It WILL.

by Anonymousreply 36November 2, 2020 2:08 PM

Oh I know R36. It's going to be fucking excruciating!

by Anonymousreply 37November 2, 2020 2:10 PM
Ballots cannot be counted until the polls close on Election Day.

Pennsylvania starts counting all the Mail-in ballots tomorrow morning. Election officials have said that it could take 3 or 4 days to count them all because there are so many. So whatever the PA results show on Tuesday night will just be in-person voting and will not include all the (largely Democratic) mail-in results. And any ballots received after November 3rd are going to be counted separately because Dump is going to challenge those in the Supreme Court.

Don't know, but wherever she is, she'll be drunk.

by Anonymousreply 40November 2, 2020 4:24 PM

Joy has a bad habit of saying whatever pops into her mind. For example, when Trump cancelled his party at his DC hotel, she said he doesn’t want to besmirch the property with a loss party. Total speculation treated as useful information. There’s a fine line between responsible opinion journalism and veering off into Fox News-type disinformation. Most of the MSNBC hosts have an innate recognition of the need to restrain themselves. Not Joy.

by Anonymousreply 41November 2, 2020 5:55 PM

Giving an opinion isn't "disinformation" - Joy was giving her opinion.

by Anonymousreply 42November 2, 2020 6:07 PM

Opinions by TV news channel hosts need to be grounded in reality. The logical explanation is that Trump moved the party because the DC government had jurisdiction over the hotel and would enforce social distancing rules. That’s a responsible opinion to present as an explanation. Joy could also have prefaced her statement with some indication that it was wild speculation. But to simply state it as a fact is crossing the fine line I mentioned

by Anonymousreply 43November 2, 2020 6:16 PM

"The logical explanation is that Trump moved the party because the DC government had jurisdiction over the hotel and would enforce social distancing rules."

Or maybe because he's afraid he will lose. Why is your speculation any more valid than hers?

by Anonymousreply 44November 2, 2020 6:18 PM

Because he’s still going to lose with the party in the White House.

by Anonymousreply 45November 2, 2020 6:19 PM

Joy is actually a good replacement for Chris Mathews - they both hate Trump with the heat of 1000 suns. Similar in their aggressive say whatever is on their mind presentation too. I miss Chris, but think Joy's show is better than most people will admit here.

by Anonymousreply 46November 2, 2020 6:23 PM

I just prefer Joy to be more professional on her own show and not so annoying and goofy. She had on Jason Johnson -who I love- and made some obnoxious joke about him not having a book. I didn't even get why she said it. It was so unnecessary.

by Anonymousreply 47November 2, 2020 6:40 PM
Giving an opinion isn't "disinformation" - Joy was giving her opinion.

Opinions are like assholes.

Everybody has one.

She's so unprofessional.

by Anonymousreply 48November 2, 2020 7:15 PM

Chris Cuomo is unprofessional. Don Lemon is unprofessional. Rachel Maddow is unbearable. R48 is racist.

by Anonymousreply 49November 2, 2020 7:25 PM

She's a talking head, she's supposed to have opinions

by Anonymousreply 50November 2, 2020 7:25 PM

Gotta love the freaks who probably slobber over Tucker Carlson and Hannity but trash Cuomo, Reid, etc.

by Anonymousreply 51November 2, 2020 7:26 PM

In most European countries reporting on general elections is prohibited the before the election. It’s to give the voters a chance to reflect and make a decision based on the campaigning of the candidates.

No print or tv or radio reporting or discussion.

by Anonymousreply 52November 2, 2020 7:31 PM

Well this is Amurika, R52.
In most European countries reporting on general elections is prohibited the before the election. It’s to give the voters a chance to reflect and make a decision based on the campaigning of the candidates.

Yes, and they also have "election silence" laws that ban political campaigning for some time before as well as on election day. Generally campaigning stops between 1 and 4 days prior to election day.

by Anonymousreply 56November 2, 2020 11:08 PM
