Friday the 13th 40th Anniversary Thread - Non Paywalled

Continue discussing the iconic horror franchise here since the other one was paywalled. How's everyone enjoying the boxset? Was opening it a private moment for you or did you make a Youtube video?

by Anonymousreply 80December 3, 2020 1:02 PM

I don’t understand the excitement over the box set. What is in it that is so special? Were all the films not available previously?

The thread about it on Bluray.com had 10,000 responses about a month ago. I don’t get why it’s so freakishly popular as an item.

by Anonymousreply 1October 22, 2020 12:27 AM

It's the first time all 12 films were released together. Scream Factory does a really good job on their releases. As far as extras go, there wasn't too much new that wasn't on previous releases and the stuff that is new is not all that spectacular. I think part of the issue was the Crystal Lake Memories doc was so thorough, there really wasn't much to add as far as documentaries. The big draw was uncut Part 2 footage. I wish the alternate Part 3 ending was on there but I don't think they could find it. They did a better job with the Halloween box set. Then again, there wasn't a pandemic going on.

by Anonymousreply 2October 22, 2020 12:56 AM

Friday the 13th were great movies, they just don't make movies like this anymore.

by Anonymousreply 3October 22, 2020 2:37 AM

But who cares if they’re all together? Presumably most serious fans of the series bought them individually as they were released?

Scream Factory does a very good job with the transfers they use, and the extras—but they have the absolute worst cover art, unless they’re using the original theatrical poster art. Just absolutely embarrassing stuff, like bad fan art, or the kind of comic illustration you’d see on a T-shirt at Hot Topic or in... well, a comic book.

I bought the first 3 movies, realized I only need to keep the original. I can’t even give the first 2 sequels away: I bought them for a few dollars each, and selling them on eBay wouldn’t be worth the hassle of mailing them.

by Anonymousreply 4October 22, 2020 4:31 AM

I'm a serious fan of the series but never got around to collecting each movie individually.

Technology is always changing, I prefer Blu Ray and there were 12 movies to catch up on. I often delay buying individual Blu Rays from a franchise I like knowing full well they'll eventually release a superior box set with extra features.

So I'm loving the Scream Factory box set -- it's the first time I've owned F13 films that weren't VHS bootlegs or Amazon permanent streams and it has a bunch of extras you can't get from bootlegs or streaming sites.

by Anonymousreply 5October 22, 2020 6:47 AM

The person in the first thread who said the Audio Commentary for Part 5 was a hoot was CORRECT!

It's a shitshow that runs the gamut from the hilarious, to the accidentally hilarious, to the mega-awkward.

Director Danny Steinmann, actors John Shepherd and Shavar Ross plus producer/writer Michael Felcher are all fighting to get a word in edgewise.

Steinmann is basicallly battling the other three, who pick apart all of Part 5's flaws like hokey plot elements or Melanie Kinnaman's disappearing/reappearing sweater Continuity Fail. Clearly, the non-Steinmans only enjoy the film as camp nowadays.

Shavar, you'll remember, was the little black kid Reggie in Part 5. He grew up to be a MASSIVELY flaming sissyfairy and ADHD diva who won't shut the fuck up.

He's one of those loons who have to be the center of attention at all times — the kind who get into the performing arts all too often. He makes lame, unfunny comments while the others are trying to tell interesting stories about the production. And he makes a bunch of queeny references to Paris Hilton, Kim Fields, Facts of Life, Madonna, etc. that the straight guys are completely incapable of relating to! There's gentle teasing about his sexuality, too and Shavar really rubs their noses in it.

"What was wrong with Miguel Nuñez? Even I had girlfriends back then!"

The whole thing is a hot mess but you will definitely be entertained.

R4, there's also 4k transfers of the first 4 films and if you're a Jason Goes To Hell Fan, it has a ton of new extras.

The cover art is always reversible on Scream Factory releases. If you don't like the fan art, the original poster is on the other side.

by Anonymousreply 7October 22, 2020 12:52 PM

Part 5 is such a horrible movie. So sleazy looking and no suspense. So Shavar's a closet case? According to Wiki, he's married with two kids.

by Anonymousreply 8October 22, 2020 12:55 PM

Part five is an underrated gem! Tommy is buff sweaty and sexy. Reggie is the scream queen we always needed. I’d watch a spinoff of this delinquent sex craved coked out halfway house in the woods anytime.

by Anonymousreply 9October 22, 2020 1:59 PM

Part 5 does have Eddie, arguably the best looking guy in the franchise.

by Anonymousreply 10October 22, 2020 3:41 PM

R6 the Madonna reference was in regards to the huge ass Madonna poster in Violet's room before she gets killed in part 5

You know that the director put in there?

by Anonymousreply 11October 22, 2020 5:18 PM

I just rewatched part 4, and while a good entry, I still feel that the family drama doesn't mesh with the teens. The virginal Sara even looks like Kimberly Beck and could've been a good final girl. I think the movie would have been infinitely better without Corey Feldman or The Jason hunter who dies an embarrassingly bad death anyway.

And why didn't we get a nude Peter Barton in the skinnydipping scene?

by Anonymousreply 12October 22, 2020 5:30 PM

Interesting how thoughts can change when revisiting a film. I always knew we were meant to sympathesize with Crispin Glover in this film, but he's kind of an asshole. I felt bad for Lawrence Monoson. He was the comic relief but not as annoying as Shelley or the other characters from the previous films. Plus, he was much cuter.

by Anonymousreply 13October 22, 2020 5:37 PM

Just watched the part 2 slashed scenes and in all but one case, they are an improvement.

SPOILERS

Preferred Alice's death scene in the theatrical. The extended scene looks too fake. Alice makes a really ridiculous face too.

Looks like they shot 2 different versions of Russel Todd being slashed. Of course I prefer the version with more blood.

Loved the spear death. The uncut version is much better. In the photo gallery you can see how this effect was acheived. They used a prosthetic of his back and rear. Bill Randolph was underneath the bed. No actual nudity is seen. This is the best kill from this compilation.

The cop's death was bloodier and definitely better.

The rest are just extended reaction shots that don't add that much. The kills are presented in full on this feature. The actual extended scenes amount to less than a minute.

by Anonymousreply 14October 22, 2020 5:47 PM

[quote] The thread about it on Bluray.com had 10,000 responses about a month ago. I don’t get why it’s so freakishly popular as an item.

Yeah that discussion moves way too fast and the users are really nitpicky about stuff that doesn't even matter. I like the idea of a DL thread because I'm mostly interested in hearing from gay fans of the series.

by Anonymousreply 15October 22, 2020 6:25 PM

That’s fair, R15. This thread is already better than that one for sure.

by Anonymousreply 16October 22, 2020 6:27 PM

There are JASON GOES TO HELL fans?

by Anonymousreply 17October 22, 2020 11:40 PM

Wow, r8, If you listen to the Part 5 commentary, Shavar basically comes out.

I notice he and his wife required 'fertility treatments" to bear children. I hope future generations don't feel they have to put themselves through what he has.

The problem with the FRIDAY THE 13THs, r13, is that the "comic relief" really only worked in Parts 6 and 8.

Lame jokes like "dead fuck" don't relieve — they just cause more distress.

by Anonymousreply 20October 22, 2020 11:50 PM

LOL R14, Adrienne King really does make a weird face.

by Anonymousreply 21October 23, 2020 12:25 AM

I'm starting to think that CRYSTAL LAKE MEMORIES BONUS DISC sale was a scam.

I ordered mine on-time and the director said the discs would ship out "on or about Oct. 13." But my copy hasn't arrived and this is all you get on his website:

I created the first thread which was, unfortunately, paywalled so thanks to OP for creating this one.

This is SO much better than the Blu-ray forum thread. Jesus Christ, those guys are fucking psycho (pun intended). Nitpicking over blue vs. clear cases, there was a dent on the bottom of their box set, the 3D titles were not all done in 3D. Okay the last one was a little disappointing but they go on like Scream Factory are a bunch of screw-ups who can't do a box set properly. Do they even care how much work goes into this? And they did this during a fucking PANDEMIC. I hate to trot out "white male privilege" in this thread but Blu-Ray Forum reeks of it. I believe last week they had to lock it because they were all having meltdowns LOL

This is a great box set. They mixed old and new features. The slashed footage from Part 2 is fascinating to watch. The 3D in Part 3 is AWESOME. The first four films look fantastic, never better. I'll have to check out the commentary for 5. That whole movie is a mess so it makes sense the commentary reflects that.

My only quibble/question is why wasn't Adrienne King involved in any of the bonus features? I know Kevin Bacon doesn't really care for the movie but you would think King would have been a big part of the 40th anniversary.

by Anonymousreply 23October 23, 2020 7:16 AM

Yeah, Adrienne is very involved with the location tour they do at Camp NoBeBosco in NJ, which they seem to be doing more often, particularly this year since there was no camp. I wish the guy who did the Horror Hallowed Ground location visits on the Halloween box set did the same for this set.

by Anonymousreply 24October 23, 2020 12:59 PM

R23 because every person posting in Blue Ray.com forums was a straight white male?

YOU were on there, weren't you?

by Anonymousreply 25October 23, 2020 1:06 PM

I was r25 but I am not being a big crybaby like the majority of them.

by Anonymousreply 26October 23, 2020 2:18 PM

I forgot how much fun Jason Takes Manhattan was. The uncle was so smarmy and a lot of fun. Definitely the best non Jason villain in the franchise. Rennie was probably the worst final girl as she's getting rescued left and right. Even Jason helps her escape from the gang later on in the film. Scott Reeves as well as that Jared Leto-esque twink that gets offed in the beginning. The evil bitch who pushes Rennie into the water is also more entertaining than the one from part 7. Jason gets a lot of screen time in this one, and Kane is so good as the character.

The film is so indicative of it's era, even more so than the previous one. Was getting really nostalgic for that sweet 80s hair metal during the intro. Surprised that the intro and ending credits song was written for the film. It's not as good as Man Behind the Mask, but still really catchy and fun.

by Anonymousreply 27October 24, 2020 8:18 PM

[quote] Scott Reeves as well as that Jared Leto-esque twink that gets offed in the beginning were some of the hottest guys in the series.

by Anonymousreply 28October 24, 2020 8:19 PM

^add Mark from Part 2 and Andy from Part 3 and Eddie from Part 5 to that list.

by Anonymousreply 29October 24, 2020 8:26 PM

[quote] Definitely the best non Jason villain in the franchise.

Of course Pamela Voorhees deserves mention here.

by Anonymousreply 30October 24, 2020 8:27 PM

[quote] Rennie was probably the worst final girl as she's getting rescued left and right. Even Jason helps her escape from the gang later on in the film.

She also is semi responsible for killing her teacher when you think about it. Fortunately for her, Scott Reeves was a more than a capable match for Jason.

by Anonymousreply 31October 24, 2020 8:35 PM

Just watched the gag reel feature from part 8 for the first time and you actually get to see the original Sean actor before Scott Reeves replaced him. It's only been mentioned in Peter Bracke's book but he was fired because he couldn't convincingly play straight. It's a flubbed take but you could see he gives a particularly awful line reading. Surprised that was included as I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else.

by Anonymousreply 32October 25, 2020 2:29 AM

[quote] The cover art is always reversible on Scream Factory releases. If you don't like the fan art, the original poster is on the other side.

I know. I’ve had to buy a lot of my favorite movies from them because that’s who released them. I always flip the cover around. My issue is not the way it looks when it’s in my home; my issue is the way the film is now being represented and marketed: with the new “bad fan art” cover image. In stores and everywhere online. I feel that the new artwork almost always is disrespectful to the movie. Usually they throw a lot of “floating heads” together and cram the image with as much busy-ness as it can fit, and it all looks like something out of a comic book or a video game, because that’s the demographic that Scream is marketing to.

Arrow Video is just as bad if not worse, but they also do otherwise brilliant discs with (mostly) great special features.

Indicator (UK) and Criterion generally are the most tasteful and respectful when it comes to their releases, no matter what they are.

by Anonymousreply 33October 25, 2020 3:08 AM

It's no worse than the shitty artwork the studios use for their releases. Since many films have been double and triple dipped, they never reuse the original artwork or sometimes don't even use it at all. Thank God for the Scream Friday box set. The shit Paramount was using before was terrible.

by Anonymousreply 34October 25, 2020 3:56 AM

Some of Scream's artwork is really nice. I really like the one for their release of Pumpkinhead but don't care at all for the Steelbook version.

by Anonymousreply 35October 25, 2020 4:27 AM

R34, Kino Lorber almost always does use the original art for the covers. On the odd occasion they have to come up with something new, it’s almost always tasteful.

Sorry, I’ll never agree that it’s a good thing that Scream does shit like this. Whoever these artists are, they don’t deserve to get hired. Keep that shit for comic books and video games. It’s one thing to hire someone to make new artwork, but does it all have to always look SO BAD, and always in the same style? FUCK.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 36October 25, 2020 4:32 AM

Or this one. This was almost almost universally ridiculed when Scream revealed it. Similar to the recent Road Games (Jamie Lee Curtis) release.

Note here the rainbow fade. Usually they just do an orange/red/yellow -to- purple/blue fade from one side of the image to the other (Christ, how long do we have to keep putting up with that trend? It’s all over Amazon Prime Video’s and Netflix’s streaming movie listings too). Just so, so bad. Like an airbrushed T shirt or something. God-awful.

Okay I promise I’m done. Just had to get that off my chest. Fuck Scream Factory.

Thank God!

Too bad Estelle Parsons turned down the role and Sally Field didn't make the cut for Alice. That would've made for an interesting take.

by Anonymousreply 38October 25, 2020 2:14 PM

Ginny got a lot of love in the other thread but I prefer Trish "I'm gonna give you something to remember us by" Jarvis as the best final girl.

by Anonymousreply 39October 26, 2020 12:59 AM

Alice is my fav final girl because she was the first one. I hate she was killed in part 2 but it was a great scene. Ginny is a great final girl, too. I think the actress had just left Guiding Light to take the role. F13 had a lot of Guiding Light (and other soap) actors.

by Anonymousreply 40October 26, 2020 1:12 AM

Despite owning the 8-disc set and the new set from Scream, I still watch Friday the 13th and its sequels on AMC.

I never get sick of these movies.

I love the last 20 minutes of Part 1. Betsy sure was slapping poor little Adrienne around.

by Anonymousreply 41October 30, 2020 1:07 AM

I thought it would be fun to watch the Friday the 13th films in order (not reverse!!!) this October. It SEEMED like a good idea until I got to film 6 or 7, I know people enjoy those later sequels but they're such a slog for me. I just finished Jason Takes Manhattan and I know it has fans, but I thought it was sooo boring. The best part of the film was the intro!! I haven't seen Jason Goes to Hell or Jason X, at all.. it's going to be rough getting through those two, I imagine.

by Anonymousreply 42October 30, 2020 2:21 PM

The Final Chapter was last scary one.

by Anonymousreply 43October 30, 2020 4:44 PM

R42 I've rewatched all the films at this point and have to admit that I enjoyed every one of them at least somewhat. However, I'm not so sure someone raised on torture porn coming to the series for the first time would feel the same way. Part of the appeal for me has always been the 80s nostalgia and camp factor.

by Anonymousreply 44October 30, 2020 4:55 PM

R44 I guess I should have stated in my post I was re-watching them. I wasn't "raised on torture porn." Somehow I can enjoy a series Nightmare on Elm Street all the way through, but somewhere along the way Friday the 13th just becomes... boring? I think it's due to the characters, they become quite flat. I get we can't care about them *too* much because Jason is just going to kill them anyway, but it would be nice! Maybe "boring" isn't the right word. I'm just more of an Elm Street person, I guess!!!!

Jason X and Jason Goes to Hell are the only 2 in the series I haven't watched. The VHS cover for Jason Goes to Hell used to freak me out when I saw it in video stores!!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 45October 30, 2020 7:56 PM

Jason Goes To Hell is a fun ride with better acting and production values than many in the series but it doesn't fit the usual F13th formula which is why it's disliked by many fans. The tent scene is definitely a highlight in terms of innovative kills, and I absolutely love the guy who shows his dick (a first for the series). He's the male version of Deb Voorhees for sure.

Jason X is an above average Sy Fy channel original. If you go into it with those expectations, you should enjoy it. If you enjoy the campy elements of the series, then it may become one of your favorites. One thing is for sure, it's definitely not boring.

by Anonymousreply 46October 30, 2020 8:06 PM

Torture porn isn’t scary, R44.

There’s more to the early F13s than camp. The first few were scary or extremely scary.

by Anonymousreply 47October 30, 2020 9:37 PM

No, JASON GOES TO HELL and X are lame shitshows with no compelling scares or humor.

SyFy movies are not good. No movie is good without good story, character, action, themes, etc.

Turning Jason and Freddy into corny, demonic eels really jumped the shark.

by Anonymousreply 48October 30, 2020 9:59 PM

Out of the hundreds of movies I’ve seen in theatres over the years I can still recall the experience of how utterly bad it was to watch JASON TAKES MANHATTAN. I’m a big horror fan and had seen all of the films in the series, but this one had nothing to offer.

by Anonymousreply 49October 30, 2020 10:19 PM

I haven't opened up my new Scream box set yet mainly because it is lame that we had to order replacement discs and they won't arrive for awhile.

[quote]I felt bad for Lawrence Monoson. He was the comic relief but not as annoying as Shelley or the other characters from the previous films. Plus, he was much cuter.

And had a sweet lil ass on him, too.

by Anonymousreply 50October 30, 2020 10:57 PM

I'd like to hear from a first time viewer of Jason Goes to Hell. I'm somewhat biased since it was the first Friday film I ever watched. I think people going into that movie with little to no preconceived notions improves the experience. The same thing is true with Wes Craven's New Nightmare. It's not really a Nightmare film but I enjoy it all the same.

I don't remember liking Jason X that much when I saw it in the theater but I warmed up to it over the years.

[quote] Torture porn isn’t scary

Scenes of torture are disturbing, but not necessarily scary on their own. However, believing that anything and everything can happen can certainly heighten tension. I think the real problem with watching early slashers after becoming familiar with the new horror tropes is that you become desensitized to what little violence is portrayed on screen. Most of the films are quite tame and when they do go over the top with the gore in the later movies, it's usually played for comic effect.

by Anonymousreply 51October 30, 2020 11:44 PM

[quote] No, JASON GOES TO HELL and X are lame shitshows with no compelling scares or humor.

Jason Goes to Hell has a decent story but not all the characters are written very well and a lot of the humor seems forced.

by Anonymousreply 52October 30, 2020 11:47 PM

I think Part VI Jason Lives is one of my favorites. I liked how the director wanted to make it more of a gothic, classic monster/horror movie. The kids were great and all the "teens" weren't as annoying as the other installments. The RV scene was a lot of fun. Interesting it was the first (and only?) sequel that didn't have any nudity. They also had to add more kills to satisfy the studio.

by Anonymousreply 53October 30, 2020 11:54 PM

[quote] Torture porn isn’t scary

I think the torture porn label is applied to liberally to any film with extreme violence. The reason the earlier Saw films were so good is because it was a psychological horror film in the vein of Seven and Silence of the Lambs. The gore we do see is realistic. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake was so successful because the violence was meant to be upsetting instead of being played for laughs.

by Anonymousreply 54October 31, 2020 12:06 AM

Funny I find the later Nightmare on Elm Street sequels unwatchable.

I would open the Scream set r50. I find the so-called "errors" very minor.. It's a nice set.

by Anonymousreply 55October 31, 2020 1:42 AM

R45/R42 Reporting back. I just finished Jason Goes to Hell and, while I wouldn’t label it “good,” I enjoyed watching it more than 7 and 8.

The first film to the fourth are all good horror movies, especially the atmosphere in the first two! 5 & 6 were fun to watch, but I just didn’t care for 7 & 8. They were just missing something!

Jason X awaits!

by Anonymousreply 56October 31, 2020 1:55 AM

Interesting that Kane Hodder was involved in the worst reviewed films of the series yet he remains the most iconic Jason actor. I don't think Brooker from part 3 or the movie itself get enough credit. I'd say part 2 and 3 are tied for best in the series. Parts 1 and 4 are overrated but still good. Part 6 is rated just right. Some flaws but definitely the most cinematic of the franchise. I enjoy part 7 and 8 in an ironic way, although I do enjoy Jason's look from part 7 the most.

by Anonymousreply 57October 31, 2020 2:10 AM

I haven't bought this set (not the hugest Jason fan) but I do love Scream Factory/Arrow. Both companies are made up largely of film fans and it shows in their releases. I wish Scream Factory had Criterion-esque flash sales. I like Sleepwalkers, but I'm not paying $20+ for it.

The mega Halloween set they did (bought it day 1) only had 1 disc replacement. From what I've read about the Friday set, the "problems" are very minor and will only ruin the film for you if you have the severest OCD.

That said, it seems like they'd save themselves headaches if they hired 2 or 3 of the mega-fans to QC the discs. Hell, promise them a free copy in exchange for notes.

by Anonymousreply 58October 31, 2020 2:37 AM

Friday the 13th movies are now classics in a league of their own.

by Anonymousreply 59October 31, 2020 2:52 AM

I think Parts 1, 2 and 4 are excellent films, very solid slasher films. Part 3 is really only enjoyable for the 3D in my opinion. The rest of them vary in quality but I still enjoy watching them for nostalgia.

by Anonymousreply 60October 31, 2020 6:27 AM

Does Phylicia Rashad do any audio commentary for Part 3?

by Anonymousreply 61October 31, 2020 9:50 AM

Well Jason X was an experience. I can get why people wound find it enjoyable in a "so bad it's good" sense. I read that it was filmed in 1999 but not released until 2002. What caused the delay, does anyone know?

It's a bit crazy that anyone thought the idea of Jason in space was a good idea for a movie!!!

by Anonymousreply 62October 31, 2020 1:28 PM

Correction, filmed in 2000, not 1999.

by Anonymousreply 63October 31, 2020 1:29 PM

Thought I'd give the remake another chance. It was my third viewing, although I have to admit the film barely held my interest the first time I watched it. I enjoyed it a bit more and was willing to forgive certain parts that I originally thought deviated too much from the original series. Jason did set a trap for Russel Todd in part 2 and Jared's character reminds me of the hunter from part 4, but is less interesting because he doesn't know anything about the legacy of Jason. The underground lair is still weird

Still didn't care at all for the supporting characters, dialogue, or racial stereotypes. Panabaker is a really sweet and selfless character that probably should have survived. Righetti is a pretty good character as well but she disappears for most of the movie. Would have liked to see more of her interaction with Jason. The prologue is still my favorite part although I didn't like the fact that Jason was shown to still be a boy when his mother was killed. The kills are not bloody but still inventive for the most part.

I'm torn on the visual style. At times, it looks beautiful in an artsy or grungy kind of way, while at other times it looks ugly and too dark. The colors choices are odd.

In the end, I'm still ambivalent about this film. Perhaps this could have been a good entry in the series but in the end it's merely passable.

by Anonymousreply 64November 2, 2020 4:24 AM

I didn't mind the remake. Certainly had it's flaws. But after Jason X and Jason Goes To Hell, it was a major step up.

by Anonymousreply 65November 2, 2020 12:13 PM

I remember feeling bad that Jason threw the nice girl trying to help the cat out of the window in part four or five. Also, there was a rumor saying the mean blonde bitch who gets the ax in the head in The New Blood had a much gorier death but they cut it out for some reason.

by Anonymousreply 66November 2, 2020 2:35 PM

I finally got my CRYSTAL LAKE MEMORIES: BONUS DISC last week, about a month late.

I'm enjoying it. I see why most of these comments didn't make the documentary cut — they're interesting tidbits but not the main courses of information.

I'm about an hour into it. I really like the segment where Adrienne King shows off some original paintings that she did. She has a self-portrait as Alice sleeping in the canoe. The best is one she did as therapy expressing her feelings about her stalker. Very striking and sad with hidden elements.

Also, Larry Zerner does a parody commercial as Shelley as a slasher victim lawyer that's funny.

Also, a couple of batshit stories about Crispin Glover.

by Anonymousreply 67November 16, 2020 11:20 PM

[quote]The VHS cover for Jason Goes to Hell used to freak me out when I saw it in video stores!!

At least SOMETHING from the film freaks somebody out.

by Anonymousreply 68November 16, 2020 11:28 PM

JASON GOES TO HELL has a shitshow story. No focus, no main character and a bunch of rewrites during production from different authors.

Body-possessing eels is a lame and tired device.

by Anonymousreply 69November 16, 2020 11:29 PM

OK, fuck off, tired F13 troll.

by Anonymousreply 70November 16, 2020 11:32 PM

How can there be a Friday the 13th troll... in a Friday the 13th thread?

I was a little underwhelmed by the boxset extras as far as exclusively new stuff. Would've been nice if they got more people like Harry Crosby and who haven't been on the convention circuit or in Crystal Lake Memories to be interviewed.

r70 was a response to r61, who is a butt-hurt troll because it mistook Part 3's Gloria Charles for Phylicia Rashad in the paywalled F13th 40th Anniversary thread.

It's trolling @ r61 because it was exposed as a fool and still butt-hurt about it.

It could easily be the Tryory Troll who pretended he received his Scream Factory box set before Reply 374 in the paywalled thread, which is impossible because the professional critics hadn't even received their copies when he claims to have gotten his.

We also have the "Darkest Side of the Night" Troll who talked to himself from sock puppet accounts trying to improve the popularity of his allegedly favorite song from the franchise, which lost our "BEST EVER Song about Jason Voorhees" Poll. It probably isn't his favorite F13 song — it's just an F13 song that nobody else mentioned. Because it's not about Jason!

The drunken turd blossom OP of the "I'm watching Friday the 13ths in reverse" Thread first said he didn't know Part 3 was offered in 3-D. When informed by DL posters, he immediately turned around and said he forgot, that he had a pair of 3-D glasses and was watching Part 3 in 3-D from then on.

So, YES, we have stupid F13 trolls and he's on this thread.

Is the original Friday The 13th special edition the same as the version in the box set?

I’ve only seen the first movie and thought it was boring how the whole thing takes place at a camp. Do any of the sequels take place anywhere interesting besides a camp?

R73 needs to get a life and a sense of humor.

Part 8 takes place in Vancouver. Part 10 takes place in space. They're both terrible though.

Uncut kills from part 2.

Adrienne makes such a silly face at the end of her death scene. No wonder it was cut.
