Amazing Race Season 32 Premieres Wednesday October 14 on CBS!
Amazing Race Host Phil Keoghan Talks Season 32's 'Biggest Hurdle,' Why Show Doesn't Need Twisty Gimmicks
It’s been a long 16 months since Colin Guinn and Christie Woods were crowned the victors of the last Amazing Race, but the wait for the next globetrotting relay is finally over.
On Wednesday, October 14 (at 9/8c on CBS), host Phil Keoghan kicks off a brand new circuit, as 11 fresh duos take off from the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles en route toward an exciting race around the world. And if the thrill of exploring the globe with a loved one isn’t enough, the $1 million prize should certainly motivate them!
Among those jockeying for that hefty paycheck are former NFL stars DeAngelo Williams and Gary Barnidge, Olympians Kellie Wells-Brinkley and LaVonne Idlette, and pro volleyball players Riley and Maddison McKibbin. (View the complete list of teams here.)
Ahead of the premiere’s starting gun, we spoke to Keoghan about the challenges that lie ahead for the racers, the beauty of watching the Race during a pandemic and what he believes is “the core of what Race is about.”

The cast looks fun.
And there's a gay couple!

I like Nathan and Cody from Tennessee.
They're cute!

Did anyone watch the premiere?

I watched last night. It was fun. So good to see average (for the most part) people instead of Big Bother people or other social media influencers.

If CBS once again decides to put Phil in tight pants so we can his bulging crotch, I'm there for it! Last season, they were very careful to keep him in loose fitting jeans and they did their best to shoot him from the waist up. Pissed me off.

Wasn't the season cut short because of Covid?
I thought that all the racers were sent home after the first leg of the race?

That was Survivor, Jane at R6

For R6, CBS has been holding on to this completed season for quite some time and has finally decided to show it. The one that was discontinued due to COVID was the NEXT season (that CBS would probably have sat on for a year or more).

So sad that old people don't exist on the Amazing Race any more.
It used to be so much more fun when the cast was all over the place.
Mirna and Shmirna, and all of the other weirdos that we used to love, are no longer welcome on the show.
What a bummer.

Loved that they showed the watermelon smashing in that contestant's face. Multiple times.

Agreed, R11. Not only was that the greatest moment ever on the show, it may well be the greatest moment on reality TV overall.

Do we want the gay couple to win?

It's kinda sad to be airing this now. It's too much of a reminder of the way life use to be and is now gone.

The dark hair guy in the gay couple should kick the blonde to the curb. The blonde is the one who refused to reread the clue. The dark haired one was too diplomatic about it, saying "we" didn't read the clue. The dark haired one was also right about who should do the circus thing.

Nice to see a man-on-man kiss on network TV.

I've always been a fan of the show (except for the horrible family season, only watched one episode), but for some reason I'm just bored with it now. Maybe too much time has lapsed between seasons, I dunno.

The gay couple is over the top annoying. Sitting here hoping they fall into the Amazon.

I like the Asian married couple. They’re competitive and yet very likable, and very respectful to each other.
The queens are too queeny.

100% agree, R19, on both fronts. I really want the Chinese-American married couple to win.

I was rooting for the gay team, even though they are a bit annoying, till tonight's episode. They didn't seem to have any reason for disliking the nerd team, and U turning them was not only mean, but incredibly bad strategy.

[quote]This is a gay site, we need to support our own,
DL has always disowned gay contestants on TAR, Survivor and BB if they are judged to be too flaming.

Yes, R21, groups adhering strictly to tribe mentality is so great for all societies. Grow up. Blind fealty is nearly as bad as blind abhorrance.

I'm happy for the fact that the gay guys are so comfortable with their queeniness, but they still make me cringe. I know that's my problem not theirs.
I agree Leo is adorkable.
I totally lost track of the brother-sister team at the end. Was it the editing, or am I just a moron?

STFU, R47. They didn't cheat and they played by the rules of the game; they won abd are not "undeserving". You're just upset because you have psychological issues with men you perceive as effeminate. They won the challenges before their competition; they had no unfair advantage. They made it to this leg--something most of the other teams did not, you might have noticed--and they won this leg. Yes, they deserved to win. Why is a tv game show so hard for you to understand?

Perceive as effeminate? Jesus christ they had purses falling out of their mouth! Undeserving winners and its great to see all the hate directed at them all over the internet. They set the gays back by 50 years. They should be ashamed.
