R14, Didn't that same drama queen mention a press conference about "national security concerns" taking place this morning? The press conference was about the arrest of two ISIS members in a hostage-taking scheme. Hardly something that would have caused the debate to be canceled.

CNN: In an unprecedented move, the New England Journal of Medicine on Wednesday published an editorial written by its editors condemning the Trump administration for its response to the Covid-19 pandemic -- and calling for the current leadership in the United States to be voted out of office.
"Anyone else who recklessly squandered lives and money in this way would be suffering legal consequences. Our leaders have largely claimed immunity for their actions. But this election gives us the power to render judgment," the editorial says. "When it comes to the response to the largest public health crisis of our time, our current political leaders have demonstrated that they are dangerously incompetent. We should not abet them and enable the deaths of thousands more Americans by allowing them to keep their jobs."

I canāt get over that they want to go out and kill their own voters. Itās true some Democrats will get sick, but the Democrats are wearing masks and washing their hands. The Republicans arenāt. They are fish in a barrel. Then they go home and spread it like Kellyanne.
If Pence goes to Florida and talks to a bunch of elderly people, what are their children and doctors saying? Can they tell him no? What if a whole bunch of them get it from him and his staff? Theyāll probably die.
What kind of coverage do you get after bringing Covid to an old folks home and killing all the old folks? How do you spin that? Itās conceivable if they infect enough people in close districts, or they have to be quarantined, people will be mad enough to swing the election. Are they completely brainless? In a few weeks the crying widows and kids will be angrily denouncing him on television.

The Increase in STIs in Retirement Communities
A study performed by Berkeley University of California Wellness uncovered āsignificant increases in STIsā among adults 65 and over, between 2010 and 2014:
Chlamydia infections increased by 52%
Syphilis infections rose by 65%
Gonorrhea cases increased by more than 90%
The study suggests that the increase in STIās can be linked to Americans living longer and in better health than previous generations. Adults are sexually active well into their seventh decade and beyond, and with the higher rates of divorce and the death of a spouse, seniors are dating again for perhaps the first time since their youth.

Another Pentagon case:
[quote]A Marine Corps four-star general is the second senior military leader in two days to test positive for COVID-19.
[quote]Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. Gary Thomas has the virus, officials announced Wednesday night. Thomas was one of at least nine senior leaders who began self-quarantining Tuesday after the Coast Guard's vice commandant, Adm. Charles Ray, tested positive for the illness this week.
[quote]Thomas attended Pentagon meetings with Ray and other senior leaders last week. Marine Commandant Gen. David Berger was visiting the British aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth off the coast of Flamborough, England, according to a military news release.
[quote]Coast Guard officials say it's not clear where Ray contracted COVID-19. He and several military leaders, including Berger, Milley, McConville and Brown, attended a Sept. 27 Gold Star Families event at the White House. The Washington Post reported this week that masks weren't required at the event and social distancing was not enforced.

So many people are sick (or hopefully quarantined), whoās running things over there? Whoās left? If they were being responsible, at this point theyād put a tent over the whole thing and fumigate.
Whereās Biden going to live? At this point, the best bet would be for him and Jill to stay home and work out of his house for a few weeks until itās decontaminated. Iām not kidding either. R100, itās really common for the first week of Covid to be little or no symptoms. The second week is the bad one. Thatās because it takes a while for the virus to multiply inside the person. If Trump was really sick on Thursday or Friday, he probably had it at least a week already, maybe more. Thatās why they quarantine asymptomatic people for fourteen days. Theyāre waiting to see if they get sick.
I saw a study that said if you get tested1-2 days after getting the virus, itās almost 100% certain your test will be negative. Tests donāt show positive until thereās a substantial amount of virus. It takes days to build up that much virus. Every day that goes by after exposure, itās more likely a test will come up positive. There have even been a few people that didnāt test positive until 21 days, but thatās uncommon. Fourteen days is the minimum.
It looks like Trump had the virus a long time, probably when he was debating Biden, and likely he and his family thought they had it. Thatās why they took their masks off at the debate. We donāt know when they were exposed, but they do.

Someone else had to have done his makeup as he always leaves those circles of bare Spam-coloured flesh around his eye-slits when he does it himself. He probably can't hold his arms up long enough.
He must have been desperate as I remember reading interviews with the hair and makeup people on the Apprentice and they said he wouldn't let them touch him. He did everything himself.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | October 8, 2020 3:50 AM |
That makeup is embarrassing. He's not an attractive man but he's so vain. The swooped hair that seems to change diffetent color blond every day. The elongated ties to cover his gut. The overlong suit jackets to hide his famously yuge butt. The fear of being caught in a goofy photo or viral video.
This a person who has no introspection. It's all surface.

Trump never had COVID. Thatās quite obvious by now. The people I know who had it (even milder cases) were laid low for at least a week and were so exhausted they could do nothing. He thought it would help his standing if he shrugged off COVId but it has massively backfired on him because it only highlights he is a liar who canāt even get his story straight.
One other thing Iāve noticed is itās mainly his biggest sycophants who also claim to be infected. Chris Christie, KAC, Hope Hicks, Stephen Miller - these people would gladly claim they had COVID too if they thought it was a strategy to re-elect Trump. None of them have to prove they had covid and their doctors have not made statements etc.
This is what our country is now. The people at the highest level of govt getting away with a scheme like this to change the subject from tax fraud, fuck Christmas, and the worst debate performance by a sitting President.

Still, there's that death-warmed-up look, struggling-to-breath Evita moment, and not appearing live on screen for days.
Given which, his blurt about doing a rally on Saturday seems specially astonishing and insane. The latter seems the best assessment, due to existing narcissism, plus an experimental drugs cocktail.
As someone upthread said, nothing makes sense, now more than ever. If he completes a rally, those claiming fake Covid will have a strong case. An old fat man managing such a thing so soon, or at all, is surely unknown in the annals of this virus.

The difference is steroids. Steroids are given out in some cases to people who have a serious illness and just have no energy to the point they canāt eat or do anything. But this particular steroid is given to people who are low in oxygen.
On Mount Everest, they give it to people who are suffering from hypoxia and their energy is so low they canāt walk down the mountain. Itās like an upper. But all they have to do is walk them down (with heavy supervision) , they donāt need to take it every day for weeks.
Iāve read other cases of people taking it for serious illness and they all say theyāre manic, canāt sleep and delusional. Some have hallucinations. Most of those people have to be supervised, like by a family member, so they donāt run out and do something crazy.

Since incarceration isn't looking likely in the near-term, he'll go on a paid rally circuit fleecing the deplorables and get on Faux News / OAN or do his own media where he will be free to spout the most insane rhetoric and conspiracies. He'll engage with the white supremacists and incite violence.
Another thing, he'll definitely tweet out classified information just to spite the next administration -- or make up fake 'classified information' to 'reveal' to his rubes. Is there a law that prevents him from publicizing either genuine or made up classified info after stepping down?

Rush: "You are one of the strongest, the most unwavering, the most determined, most loyal people I have ever met...it's just a breathtaking thing. I want people to get to know the Donald Trump I know."
Trump falsely says he got impeached for calling Zelensky to congratulate him. That call was in April. The one in question was July.
Pressed by Rush Limbaugh for how his health plan covers pre-existing conditions, Trump calls Democrats vicious liars. "Pre-existing conditions I'm totally for." Says he has a plan.
"This is what I mean with Republicans, they don't play the tough game," Trump says of Durham report not coming out before the election.
POTUS talking about Pulitzers for the Russia coverage, says people "who should get the Pulitzer" prizes didn't get them.
"This unfairness never ends!" Limbaugh laments during a discussion about Fox News panelists.

Considering the damage that Trump has caused, R215, I suspect that Putin regards that investment as perhaps the best in his career. Keep in mind that it wasn't all that much of an investment: a few hundred, at most a few thousand, hackers and trolls doing phishing attacks and creating fake accounts to further their "fake news" and gin up conflict.
That's nothing, which is why we're still seeing the troll farms in action. Now if he had to do a substantial investment, that would be a different matter. I rather suspect that Putin would have cut his losses by now and moved on in that scenario.
