Prince Nikolas looks like he might morph into a Power Ranger at any moment. The writing for the pairing of him and Ava is ruining both characters for me.

Max G has made the elderly version of Mike so fucking lovable that it's almost hard to believe he was ever any kind of a scoundrel. He has humanized Sonny, as well, and that's no easy feat.

I always had an inkling that the memory mapping procedure was going to happen between Helena and Cassandra; what better way to achieve immortality and insure the continuation of her evil empire. Patients 1-6 were probably just for practice. Then there's that unresolved issue of just who was wearing the Cassadine signet ring when Cassandra was spirited away in the back of a limo...

R102 If it was up to me it would be all the above plus. GH has such wonderful villains in their history. My idea has always been for them to come up with some sort of story where several of the villains join together to take on Port Charles, like what you see in comic books. Helena could/should be the ringleader. Even better if they could talk Luke into returning for a very short arc, to fight one last time on the side of Laura, Robert, Anna, Holly, etc. as part of it. The entire canvas could be utilized in unexpected ways. People who normally don't interact or get along, could team up to protect GH or Port Charles. Olivia Jerome or Helena could kidnap Avery, for instance, so Ava and Carly would have to team up to get her back. Tracy could return with Luke, and she and Monica would have to team up to take back GH, etc.

It would be an exciting story that could propel the show for months, and when it finished it would be a reset point for the show.

Today's show was 500 times better than yesterday. It's just so much better without the Corinthos Idiots.

On a recent podcast episode, Wally said Genie was staying out longer because of Covid and will return once things die down.

GH really seems to be firing on all cylinders at the moment. It's like they used the lockdown, to actually work on a craft a great show. There are major plot points and cliffhangers multiple times in a week, which makes you want to "tune in tomorrow." Plus they are utilizing the canvas. Compare it to Y&R, which is less fun than watching paint dry. I can't understand why Y&R is number one.

Practically every soap diva of the 80's and 90's eventually became a foil for Erica: Genie Francis, Susan Pratt, Marj Dusay, Anna Stuart, Louise Shaffer-Just a few names I could think of off the top of my head.

Jackie's first appearance seemed to be a one day cameo in early January of 1982, interviewing Laura as "Miss Star Eyes". She popped up a few weeks later when she found a message from her own sister Laura on her answering machine, causing her to return very quickly to Port Charles. She was only on as a regular until the night Susan Moore's murderer was exposed in March of 1983, and she returned in the summer for the DVX story, and was gone by the fall, back by the end of the year for the Blackie/Frisco story, and off for good by April of 1984. Her air dates practically coincided with John Stamos's intro and exit.

I think Kim is a great choice. It will be interesting to see if her voice is as gravely as Demi's after all these years. I hope the writers don't ruin it by having her be another mega villain involved in Holly's captivity out of jealousy.

I agree that the funeral felt flat. I don't think anything can top Stone's death when Robin was with him.

I'm sure that Tony Geary is a gay man and didn't have sex with Elizabeth Taylor. But, from everything that I've seen and read about that time right before HIV, that whole disco era, everybody was fucking everybody else. Jackie was a great character for her first year on the show, but her sporadic 1983 appearances (and those into early 1984) made her a bellowing harpy, the Karen of her time.

By 83, Demi was taking long breaks from the show to shoot movies, so they couldn't put Jackie in any major storylines. I'm sure everyone was happy with her departure.
