Any of Dataloungers gay campers too? My husband and I have been camping at a nice LGBT campground in the Poconos for the last 5 years. Out at our site now for Labor Day. Obviously, this summer it’s been a great way to escape the city and have some socially distanced fun. There are a lot of newbies here this year for the same reason. Supposedly the campground has had record attendance this summer.
Gay Campgrounds

Is it an all-nude campground?

I've tried it, camped for the FIB festival in Spain one year, and it was like being a boil in the bag me, then tried a car festival in England and took 48 hours to get heat back into my bones again even with an "arctic" sleeping bag. After those experiences, I built a motorhome and have camped ever since in a more civilised way.

Should say that neither of those were at specifically gay camp grounds, but there was a lot of gay camping on the ground during that Spanish trip...

Col, OP. Is there a list of gay campgrounds across the US? Are there gay RV places, in case one goes R2's route?

r2 you built a motorhome?? are you a lesbian?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 5, 2020 2:07 PM |
Have you seen any cocks?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 5, 2020 2:45 PM |
Yes it’s clothing optional. Lots of different cocks. Lots of normal guys, bears and some real hotties. A few lesbians and gay friendly/ bi (I assume?) couples. But not everyone is naked. I’m usually in shorts and shoes, no shirt if it’s hot out.
There are RV sites, cabins and tents you can rent depending on your gear. There are people that book it for the summer and some perms that have bought parcels of land from the owner. They have RVs on concrete and a few built tiny homes.

Is this it, OP? If so, not really a "campground" with tents the way R2 seemed to think. You rent cabins or trailers.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 5, 2020 4:14 PM |
You can bring your own tent/ gear to The Woods campground. You reserve a spot to pitch it with a fire pit and some have electricity/water.

Is this just a way to get laid or look at naked men?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 5, 2020 4:40 PM |
Both and neither R12. It is what you make if it. You can chill by yourself/your tent mates or be social.

My husband and I go a few times a summer usually but only if we can rent a cabin with bathroom and AC. The ones near here are Buckwood in Indiana and Timberfell in Tenn. We are joining some friends next week after Labor Day to check out Freedom Valley in Ohio.
I like it; it is nice to hang by the pool or walk around and it's a friendly and social atmosphere.

Not a lesbian but I am a terrible gay R6, I like building things, restoring classic cars etc. I'm also a poor gay so when I wanted a motorhome and realised the stupid money that they cost I bought a Mercedes Vario bus and made it into one as a project.

Not the longest thread, but some opinions here:
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 6, 2020 12:01 PM |
Yup, made our own campfire and cooked steak and shrimp on it. Also made s’mores. On the weekends there’s a huge bonfire everyone at camp gathers around.

And....COVID? what about?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 6, 2020 12:39 PM |
Well that’s why it’s so busy this year. It’s a place to go and be outside with people around but at a distance. At the bonfire everyone wore masks.

I know camping is extremely popular but I don't get the appeal. Leave all the modern conveniences of the world an go live like you are homeless for a while just doesn't appeal to me. Yes I have camped and I hated it.

r21 I have seen too many terror in the woods episodes to want to be in the woods.
