I didn’t know much about her until recently. The first time I saw her was in John Waters Crybaby and she was amazing in that. I’ve been listening to a new podcast about her time in porn called Once Upon a Time in the Valley where they discuss whether or not her account of her time in porn is entirely true. I guess people who worked with her feel like she was manipulating them the whole time. Either way it’s pretty amazing she managed to come out of the porn industry and land on her feet especially considering she was so young when she got involved.
She sure as hell can’t sing don’t know what the guys were thinking when they asked her for this song but I like the Manics.....

"I guess people who worked with her feel like she was manipulating them the whole time."
Kind of a jaw dropping comment, coming from people who are masters at manipulating people.
She beat them at their own sleazy game. Good for her. Tough shit for them.

I thought she was really beautiful when she was young - she had the bone structure to pull of a 40's kind of glamour. Still does, to judge from the OP pic.

I remember seeing her on “Wife Swap” and her household seemed very conservative and old fashioned - I got Republican vibes, but I could be wrong...

Wasn’t she in Melrose Place? That’s the last time I remember seeing her.

She looks so matronly now.

She’s Republican. Common story - the men & women were either whores or they visited whores. Some even married them.

She is great in "Cry Baby" being the disgruntled JD girl. Patty Hearst Shaw is of course the funniest thing in that entire movie as her mother, but in both the crossing guard scene and the "Let's put on a hat and learn about a foreign culture!" scene Shaw is made even funnier by Lords's disgusted reactions.

The folk hat scene with Inge, the Swedish foreign exchange student.

Her most mainstream role was on Gilmore Girls.

She really was gorgeous. Back then most of the women in porn didn’t have movie star good looks.
