Anyone watching?

I wish Pete Davidson would do his bits naked...

by Anonymousreply 1April 26, 2020 3:07 AM

Ugh, their first attempt at this was so bad. Forced sketches, The blonde lesbian (can’t remember her name) was more insufferable than ever, and missed opportunities galore.

by Anonymousreply 2April 26, 2020 3:12 AM

I'll be watching. I think it might be improved this time around if the cast members got access to better props and wigs. I just hope we don't have to put up with Kate McKinnon's awful impersonations.

by Anonymousreply 3April 26, 2020 3:27 AM

I'll give it a shot, but the first one was awful.

by Anonymousreply 4April 26, 2020 3:29 AM

wtf Brad Pitt as Fauci?

by Anonymousreply 5April 26, 2020 3:30 AM

Who is the musical guest? Lemme guess, they’re going to cart out of the corpse of Paul Simon like anyone gives a shit.

by Anonymousreply 6April 26, 2020 3:30 AM

I-is that...Brad Pitt???

by Anonymousreply 7April 26, 2020 3:31 AM

I think you’re going to be disappointed, R3. She’s their utility dyke.

by Anonymousreply 8April 26, 2020 3:31 AM

We heard

by Anonymousreply 9April 26, 2020 3:32 AM

Yeah, but only one person posted, so let’s just use this one.

by Anonymousreply 10April 26, 2020 3:33 AM

Don't like the title of this thread, but oh well.

Love Brad! 😍

by Anonymousreply 11April 26, 2020 3:34 AM

Why was his Fauci actually Robert Kennedy?? The Larry guy would’ve done a better Fauci. And I wanna see me some more of Colin’s biceps!

by Anonymousreply 12April 26, 2020 3:35 AM

Looks like they have more of a budget this go around.

by Anonymousreply 13April 26, 2020 3:35 AM

Corona may be the last nail for SNL. I can't believe anyone watch this dreck.

by Anonymousreply 14April 26, 2020 3:36 AM

How is Melissa Stupidlastname still on the show?

by Anonymousreply 15April 26, 2020 3:36 AM

R12 Yes, Larry David would have been better pick for Fauci.

by Anonymousreply 16April 26, 2020 3:37 AM

I've always had a crush on Barkley, and he can still get it.

by Anonymousreply 17April 26, 2020 3:37 AM

This, uh, really highlights the influence of a live audience.

by Anonymousreply 18April 26, 2020 3:37 AM

Glad to see Cecily!!

by Anonymousreply 19April 26, 2020 3:38 AM

R15 I think Lorne Michaels will can her after this season.

by Anonymousreply 20April 26, 2020 3:39 AM

Yaz, Cecily!

by Anonymousreply 21April 26, 2020 3:39 AM

SNL: Which of these graphics would you like?

Kenan: Yes.

by Anonymousreply 22April 26, 2020 3:40 AM

I'd rather watch something else.

by Anonymousreply 23April 26, 2020 3:41 AM

Whose idea was it to have Brad effing Pitt play Fauci? I mean the skit was well-done but Brad Pitt?

by Anonymousreply 24April 26, 2020 3:42 AM

Brad Pitt was playing Fauci because last week an interviewer asked Fauci who he would want to play him in the inevitable coronavirus movie and Fauci said, "Brad Pitt."

by Anonymousreply 25April 26, 2020 3:44 AM

this sketch is quite decent

by Anonymousreply 26April 26, 2020 3:46 AM

Actually I’m digging the Corona-era live shows and their need to innovate, injecting some new twists on this show that never otherwise tries it changes one single move or thin one iota ever.

by Anonymousreply 27April 26, 2020 3:46 AM

This is dreadful.

by Anonymousreply 28April 26, 2020 3:48 AM

Bless their hearts.

by Anonymousreply 29April 26, 2020 3:48 AM

Apologies, try that Again:

Actually I’m digging the Corona-era live shows and their need to innovate, injecting some new twists on this show that never otherwise tries to change one single move or thing one iota ever.

by Anonymousreply 30April 26, 2020 3:49 AM

"Baking my own bread, and it tastes like shit"

Bahahaha, that was me last week when I tried to bake bread for the first time!!

by Anonymousreply 31April 26, 2020 3:49 AM

Pete has probably allied himself with Adam Sandler for upcoming roles in one of Sandler's upcoming movies.

by Anonymousreply 32April 26, 2020 3:49 AM

lol, The unloved Dasani water brand.

by Anonymousreply 33April 26, 2020 3:51 AM

Wtf why the hate for Dasani? Lol I like it.

by Anonymousreply 34April 26, 2020 3:52 AM

the grocery store thing was funny and pretty true as a lot of those organic food items aren't flying off the shelves at many stores

by Anonymousreply 35April 26, 2020 3:52 AM

Haha all the leftover shit at the grocery store that no one wants. Wasn’t there a thread on this here a few days ago?

by Anonymousreply 36April 26, 2020 3:52 AM

Pete looked much better than normal. Maybe being forced to stay in is what he needed. The eye circles were gone.

by Anonymousreply 37April 26, 2020 3:52 AM

They've all been supplied with ring lights since the last episode when they saw how good Colin Jost looked..

by Anonymousreply 38April 26, 2020 3:54 AM

Someone on SNL reads DL. There IS a thread about it here.

by Anonymousreply 39April 26, 2020 3:54 AM

Lol yes all the organic crap is still on the shelves at most grocery stores. I also find it funny how those stay at home, all natural, organic, super moms went from holistic, essential oils to cleaning with Lysol real quick.

by Anonymousreply 40April 26, 2020 3:54 AM

I like it. Has a “we’re all in this together” thing going on with everyone stuck at home in sweats and jammies.

by Anonymousreply 41April 26, 2020 3:54 AM

[quote]Wtf why the hate for Dasani? Lol I like it.

Ir's treated sewage water.

by Anonymousreply 42April 26, 2020 3:55 AM

I thought Brad Pitt did a good job. he did a pretty good NY accent for a non-native and not someone known for their acting prowess.

WTF i the deal with Dasani water?

by Anonymousreply 43April 26, 2020 3:55 AM

Who played Big Bunny that Latino guy? He was kind of hot

by Anonymousreply 44April 26, 2020 3:57 AM

Love this Big Papi sketch with a cameo from Bad Bunny!

by Anonymousreply 45April 26, 2020 3:58 AM

This AirBNB sketch is the only funny one they’ve done so far.

by Anonymousreply 46April 26, 2020 4:02 AM

These Covid19 themed commercials are so fucking annoying.

by Anonymousreply 47April 26, 2020 4:04 AM

Miley looks like she's channeling Charlize Theron in Monster.

by Anonymousreply 48April 26, 2020 4:07 AM

Brad Pitt has been popping up in all sort of unlikely placea lately...whats up with that ? Its not his m.o.

by Anonymousreply 49April 26, 2020 4:08 AM

So Brad Pitt is the virtual host this week? Funny they didn’t announce that.

by Anonymousreply 50April 26, 2020 4:09 AM

Liked the FaceTime skit—I always think he’s cute.

by Anonymousreply 51April 26, 2020 4:09 AM

Even rich people like miley had to give themselves a haircut during lockdown. So relatable.

by Anonymousreply 52April 26, 2020 4:09 AM

Pete Davidson is tonight's guest host.

Tonight was the first time I've ever laughed at Adam Sandler's antics, but it must have been forgettable because I don't remember the joke. But I laughed.

by Anonymousreply 53April 26, 2020 4:24 AM

Corporate America using a pandemic to advertise their shit is creepy and disgusting. JP Morgan and Samsung etc. can all fuck off.

by Anonymousreply 54April 26, 2020 4:26 AM

Is Bowen's boyfriend filming his segments?

by Anonymousreply 55April 26, 2020 4:29 AM

I’m on a juice cleanse. Clorox juice. LET’S GO!

by Anonymousreply 56April 26, 2020 4:30 AM

Pretty good show so far!

by Anonymousreply 57April 26, 2020 4:34 AM

Beck Bennett looks hot with a beard

by Anonymousreply 58April 26, 2020 4:41 AM

Chris Redd sitting in front of a window with broken blinds is interesting.

by Anonymousreply 59April 26, 2020 4:43 AM

Cecily’s awesome humor style definitely channels a little bit of Madeleine Kahn. ❤️

by Anonymousreply 60April 26, 2020 4:43 AM

Funny, but as someone who actually watched the ABC show Turn On, this is like a current iteration of the ahead of its time fast paced video comedy show. It was a video taped fast paced Laugh In.

I kinda like it as a Live alternative.

But the Kate and Aidy skit with the Bar-b-q "kit" of a bottle of sauce, a knife and 400# live hog had me laughing out loud.

by Anonymousreply 61April 26, 2020 4:44 AM

The Pornhub commercial was hilarious!

by Anonymousreply 62April 26, 2020 4:44 AM

Pornhub....hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 63April 26, 2020 4:44 AM

I knew it was going to turn, but I didn't know into what.. then boom, PornHub. Lol

by Anonymousreply 64April 26, 2020 4:44 AM

Is Mikey trying to make his son into a child star?

by Anonymousreply 65April 26, 2020 4:44 AM

Looks Chris has been working out some more, too

by Anonymousreply 66April 26, 2020 4:45 AM

[quote]Funny, but as someone who actually watched the ABC show Turn On, this is like a current iteration of the ahead of its time fast paced video comedy show. It was a video taped fast paced Laugh In.

Hey, you're right!

I was a little kid and like you one of the few people who saw "Turn On".

I never forgot it.

by Anonymousreply 67April 26, 2020 4:46 AM

Kate's cat is hideous

by Anonymousreply 68April 26, 2020 4:49 AM

Kate's cat is hideous

by Anonymousreply 69April 26, 2020 4:49 AM

Looks like Kyle finally found a purpose to keep that haircut. It works in this video.

by Anonymousreply 70April 26, 2020 4:51 AM

Eewwwww.

by Anonymousreply 71April 26, 2020 4:54 AM

Melissa is a rough looking 32 year old.

by Anonymousreply 72April 26, 2020 4:54 AM

Why was that supposed to be funny? That's how my dates always go.

by Anonymousreply 73April 26, 2020 4:56 AM

Nine years old in second grade! Was she held back?

by Anonymousreply 74April 26, 2020 4:59 AM

For a BRIEF second, I thought the dog in the bathtub was a creepy doll... it's midnight, and I need to get to bed.

by Anonymousreply 75April 26, 2020 5:02 AM

This show was funnier than most of the live ones this season.

by Anonymousreply 76April 26, 2020 5:22 AM

Brad Pitt as Anthony Fauci. This is pretty funny (but with Trump the comedy writes itself, all you have to do is play the clips.) Trump’s gonna HATE it.

by Anonymousreply 77April 26, 2020 5:28 AM

I didn't think it was all that bad. It was better than the first one for sure. I didn't mind the Chris Redd prisoner out of jail tryna fuck ski. I liked Cecily the most in it. Pitt as Fauci was good. The grocery store skit was good. Chloe Fineman is the only one of them that seems to be able to do a skit purely by herself. Also, Kenan as OJ and the Dominican home cook was funny!

I listened to Miley for a bit and thought to myself, " I wonder if #PitchyStripper will trend tonight?"

by Anonymousreply 78April 26, 2020 5:53 AM

I only watch a virtual anything if Faye Dunaway's smack dab in the middle of it

by Anonymousreply 79April 26, 2020 6:30 AM

They all get lots of credit for the enormous leaps taken after the first one. The cast, the writers, the crew. They much improved this one.

Weekend Update had annoying canned laughter the first time out and it was awful. This time, no laughter. But that was awful, too. One of the things I hope they learn from that is how dependent those jokes are on an audience. If they do this again, reduce Weekend Update to about 2 minutes and MOVE ON.

Colin Jost has the weirdest fucking teeth on the planet. At one point during Weekend Update, he looked down, changing the camera angle significantly. Then he grinned and those big fucking teeth, photographed from slightly above, took over. Ack!

by Anonymousreply 80April 26, 2020 1:17 PM

How does Pete Davidson look so much better? He looks cute and healthy again. And you know that dick still big and hard.

His Weekend Update spot was really good too.

People always say Dasani water is high in sodium but I could never tell the difference.

by Anonymousreply 82April 26, 2020 3:39 PM

If it were high in sodium, it would taste salty.

by Anonymousreply 83April 26, 2020 3:41 PM

I didn't notice a "recorded previously" footnote this time, but I assume this was all done earlier and edited together later.

by Anonymousreply 84April 26, 2020 4:16 PM

Brad Pitt made me cry like a baby.

by Anonymousreply 85April 26, 2020 4:30 PM

Please keep in mind that every time a former SNL performer appears on the show a current not ready for prime time player dies a little bit inside.

by Anonymousreply 86April 26, 2020 4:43 PM

R86, Yes, you missed Victoria Jackson who appeared in the AirBnb sketch.

by Anonymousreply 87April 26, 2020 4:45 PM

It was nice to them to let batshit crazy Victoria Jackson in a sketch if true.

by Anonymousreply 88April 26, 2020 5:30 PM

Dasani has an absurdly high sodium content. You’d be better off drinking toilet water.

by Anonymousreply 89April 26, 2020 5:32 PM

Really ? There is no reason bottled water should have sodium. I agree it tastes awful I had to buy it recently because Nestlies was gone.

by Anonymousreply 90April 26, 2020 5:48 PM

Don't take the bait. There was not Victoria Jackson in last night's show.

by Anonymousreply 91April 26, 2020 6:04 PM

[quote] I didn't notice a "recorded previously" footnote this time, but I assume this was all done earlier and edited together later.

The amount of daylight visible in the sketches was a clue.

by Anonymousreply 92April 26, 2020 6:05 PM

Another clue it was prerecorded and edited together was Kylie Moody in a sketch where he played all the characters, several of whom appeared on-screen simultaneously.

by Anonymousreply 93April 26, 2020 6:08 PM

"And cut your toenails! My legs are all cut up!"

Best line of the night.

by Anonymousreply 94April 26, 2020 6:12 PM

Melissa Villasenor should not write and star in her own skits. I was a bit surprised by all of the cameos Kenan got for his What's Up With That skit - Charles Barkley, DK Khaled, Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis.

by Anonymousreply 95April 26, 2020 7:04 PM

Keenan must be really likeable lorne loves firing people.

by Anonymousreply 96April 26, 2020 7:12 PM

It was a good show. Actually I'd rate it among the all-time best. (and I still remember watching the first show in 1975...)

The cast really came off well. Charming. Sweet.

The supermarket, Pornhub, the date, where all great.

Chloe Fineman did a beautiful acting job in the funny Airbnb sketch.

Only Weekend Update was a drag.

by Anonymousreply 97April 26, 2020 7:15 PM

Only watched it to see Paul Rudd. Then watched something else.

by Anonymousreply 98April 26, 2020 7:55 PM

R97 = Lorne Michaels or Chloe Fineman.

by Anonymousreply 99April 27, 2020 12:13 AM

(R97) I think this person's been quarantined too long. They're losing their mind.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 100April 27, 2020 12:42 AM

R100 That's probably true. A lot of comedians have mental health issues. Cecily Strong, Kate McKinnon, and Pete Davidson have already admitted in interviews that they have had issues with mental illness.

by Anonymousreply 101April 27, 2020 1:08 AM

Nice to see Jason Sudeikis(sp) recreating his Todd Palin "dancing fool" character in "What's Up With This."
