I received my Corona payout and I’m finally rich! I’m going to retire and travel the world when it reopens! Jealous?
We’re in the money!

I'm sure the grocery store will be very happy to take your $1200.
They're the only places that are open.

I'm sure my usurious bank is holding depositors' payments for a few days in order to make daily interest for itself before releasing the finds to the depositors' accounts.
Would not put this past the bastards!

If it was signed by Donald Trump, then it'll probably bounce.

Nothing in my account as of April 15. I’ve used the same credit union account for refunds and payments for over 15 years so there is no confusion about my direct-deposit routing numbers.
However, I’m a CSRS retiree. No where can I find out if I’m excluded. SS and railroaders were included, but there’s been nothing about CSRS.
Also, my 2018 AGI was less than 75k, but I was a HoH and claimed my 23 yo college student child. So she may be also excluded.
However, she just filled out the IRS form for 2019 as she was 24 in 2019 and I couldn’t claim her (she made nothing as she lives off of student loans and me) in the hope of getting a crumb.
I’ve yet to file my 2019 taxes as I sold stock and my AGI is way over 75k.
See how confusing this is? I’m pretty sure both I and my daughter will get nothing. If you’re a CSRS retiree and got a $1200 crumb, let me know. But as far as I can determine, both I and my child are out of the loop.

What is CSRS?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 15, 2020 4:58 PM |
CSRS is the Civil Service Retirement System for federal employees, before Reagan destroyed it.

I'm a CSRS retiree, but I make too much money to get the check, so I can't help you there.
Coincidentally, I just had over $1200 taken OUT of my bank account today for my Federal taxes (which I filed electronically on Monday.) And over $300 for state taxes. So I guess I funded someone's stimulus check.

I'm glad I got a lot of traveling done in the past few months. Went to South America for the first time over the holidays, and Africa in early March.
