As a matter of fact, when it was revealed that Lucas was Bill's child, I was startled by the fact the show didn't try to incorporate him into the Horton family. There wasn't a welcome to the family party or dinner held for him. There weren't visits to Alice to get to know his new grandmother. Mike and Lucas didn't go out for beers to get to know each other. It's like after the big reveal of Bill being his father, that plot point was seemingly dropped for a long time.

GR is just an absolute delight as Leo. I even liked SC return as Daniel because he played it as fun & slightly OTT instead of regular Daniel. Eric still came off as a dullard even in a fun & lighthearted romp.

The April Fools Day episode proves that the show could use some great personalities/characters

Mimi was going to abort the baby but then didn’t. I forget all the convolutions in this story, but Mimi gave up the baby. Kayla and Steve took in the baby for awhile but eventually Philip found out and claimed his son.

Mimi and Bonnie had already left town.

Philip realized he couldn’t raise a baby on his own and gave Tyler up for adoption.

Steveano is 100% gone. The Stve/Kayla scenes were good. There's a reason those 2 actors are a super couple. They seamlessly tapped into that 30 year history.

The wedding set up played out differently than I guessed. I expected Sarah to blast Xander today. Instead she reeled him in & let him hang himself. Tomorrow I expect her to eviscerate him.

I really don't give a flip that Eric has a supposed broken heart. I have never cared for him & GV is not selling any sort of grief or anger. Kristin is teetering on the edge of becoming unhinged. Will getting her baby back be enough to pull Kristin back or will it spur her to become a full fledged witch seeking vengeance.

Ron already posted on Twitter that he had written a scene between Chad and Tony where they burned the chip and said goodbye, but Tony reminded Chad that "...the Phoenix always rises". Could the deletion of this scene imply that the producers wanted the chip left in play?

A few years ago, after they had that storyline with Hattie helping Hope in prison because had she had fallen in love with Andre and been duped by him, there was a final scene where Hattie and Andre crossed paths in the Town Square and had it out with each other. But that scene was deleted and never aired as well, and they later ended up bringing Hattie back. I'm just saying, sometimes the producers seem to stop some scenes from airing so that the door can be left open narratively to go a different route, IMO.

Ron was interviewed on today's Dishin Days.

He said he loved Greg as Leo and was shocked at how much the viewers adored him. He said he has a story to bring him back. He was very complimentary of Greg.

Ron might like Leo and want him back but that doesn't mean that Albert wants him back.

Days is in this strange position. I think everyone knows that John, Marlena, Patch and Kayla and Hope are too old to be playing these types of stories. But the audience that is left for this show wants to see these characters. Stefan and Gabi and Ciara and Ben are the only couples that have seemed to catch fire since Ron began writing. I would argue that Will and Paul had a fanbase, but the Will and Sonny fanbase won out.

The answer, of course, lies in the show's roots. Tom and Alice were the the two tent poles dealing with a bunch of crazy children. Tom and Alice always had high episode counts, but they were never really the story. I think that's how you're supposed to play these types of characters, but the fanbases get pissed off when their favorite 80s supercouples aren't being utilized.

There was already a scene, back when Evan was hiding in that wooden cabin, where he referenced his relationship with Sonny and Orpheus basically said "I don't care who you fall in love with."

If the show had any brains at all, they would bring back sexy Tripp and cutie Theo and gorgeous Claire and some of those younger characters because there's just such a huge gap in the ages....and get some writers to pick some good, not-crazy stories for them.
