**OFFICIAL SUPER TUESDAY THREAD***

I just voted for Elizabeth Warren in California.

by Anonymousreply 605March 4, 2020 10:49 AM

I just voted for Biden in Texas.

by Anonymousreply 1March 3, 2020 10:01 PM

OP, you just voted for Sanders.

by Anonymousreply 2March 3, 2020 10:02 PM

Not the first thread...

Don't forget AMERICAN SAMOA.

They're going to support our Polynesian Queen Tulsi Gabbard, then she'll be the first woman of color and female combat vet to receive delegates to a convention (♥♥♥) and DNC cronies' heads will EXPLODE. They'll want to kick AmSam out of the nation. <3

by Anonymousreply 4March 3, 2020 10:03 PM

I'm fine with this being the official thread. It has "OFFICIAL" in the title after all.

by Anonymousreply 5March 3, 2020 10:04 PM

R5 you seem like the type who like to be walked over. Be assertive!

by Anonymousreply 6March 3, 2020 10:06 PM

For what he's likely paid, Kornacki could afford to dress so much better!

by Anonymousreply 7March 3, 2020 10:08 PM

There are no other democratic candidates to drop out to give Biden a boost, so he really should be able to win with all the help he's gotten.

by Anonymousreply 8March 3, 2020 10:08 PM

Eh, I don't really care either way, R6. I'm not one to seek the spotlight.

by Anonymousreply 9March 3, 2020 10:09 PM

Squee! So exciting!

Get ready for a long night, friends

by Anonymousreply 10March 3, 2020 10:10 PM

I worked as an election judge in my precinct. Pretty good turnout in a deep blue part of a very blue city.

[quote]There are no other democratic candidates to drop out to give Biden a boost

Bloomberg?

by Anonymousreply 12March 3, 2020 10:17 PM

Is this the RIGHT thread, for Pete's sake??? I get so tired of this!

by Anonymousreply 13March 3, 2020 10:19 PM

Will Poll Troll be joining us? Speaking of polls , from the Hill: "Former Vice President Joe Biden surged to the top of the 2020 Democratic presidential field after former candidates Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) ended their campaigns, a poll released on Tuesday found."

DL wouldn't let me post the link to the story.

It will be a late night. California polls close at 11:00 ET.

by Anonymousreply 24March 3, 2020 10:31 PM

California will be lucky to give even a bare trace of numbers by this time tomorrow, and we'll be lucky to have a general idea of where they're headed a day after that.

by Anonymousreply 25March 3, 2020 10:32 PM

by Anonymousreply 34March 3, 2020 10:52 PM

[quote] Bernie's revolution is only getting started, Come join us

I would vote for Trump, before I ever vote for Sanders.

And I'll never vote for Trump.

Does that answer your question?

by Anonymousreply 35March 3, 2020 10:54 PM

Bernie is going to perform MUCH worse than expectations tonight.

by Anonymousreply 36March 3, 2020 10:55 PM

Interestingly, there seem to be massive problems in Los Angeles. However, if this had been someplace like Houston, there would be torches and pitchforks cries over voter suppression. 🤔🤔🤔

by Anonymousreply 37March 3, 2020 10:56 PM

[quote][R31] Bernie is the only person who can energize white voters enough to beat Trump. Bernie's revolution is only getting started, Come join us,

Sorry, R33. Bernie is no longer even a consideration of mine anymore. I just learned today that.... well, Bernie Sanders calls himself a Democratic Socialist. Hugo Chavez of Venezuela called himself that too.

You'r going to have to come up with a better argument to convince me to vote for Sanders. While I BELIEVE strongly in voting I can't bring myself to vote for Trump and now I'm going to include Sanders in that too. Hmm... maybe I'll write my own name in.

And, in other news.... (just dropped)

Trump launches an urgent fight to save his economic record

The president is pushing for policies generally preferred by Democrats, as major U.S. businesses signal that key parts of the American economy could get smothered by coronavirus fears.

Eight months from a general election, President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers are considering an urgent effort to rescue the U.S. economy from a coronavirus panic.

Trump advisers and GOP lawmakers have spent the last few days pushing the White House to develop a package of economic stimulus measures, designed to prop up the economy amid growing fears about the spread of the coronavirus in the U.S.

Trump and his aides have been battering the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates — shrugging off the central bank’s traditional independence — only to get an emergency rate cut Tuesday and then watch investors get spooked by the signal.

And they’re watching a flood of announcements from multinational U.S. companies signaling trouble that could strangle the American economy for months to come.

The frenzied push to boost the economy is colliding with Republican orthodoxy opposing short-term stimulus during the last recession. But it’s a reflection of what some Republicans recognize as an existential threat to Trump’s reelection: a potential downturn in the economy and financial markets in the run-up to a close and heated presidential election.

“I don’t think it’s good policy,” one senior administration official said. “The whole litany of temporary measures to stimulate the economy ... I don’t think it works.”

During a meeting with lawmakers last week, Republican Sen. Steve Daines of Montana suggested to Trump the idea of a temporary payroll tax cut to give employed consumers additional cash — an idea that Daines said Trump liked enough to then champion on Twitter.

Meanwhile, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is pushing the idea of a one-time tax credit for companies that bring manufacturing back to the U.S. from China.

And Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said his agency would talk to independent bank regulators about easing rules for lenders. Mnuchin also said Treasury had set up a sub-task force to examine how coronavirus is hitting small businesses.

(there's more)

Because it’s not going the way you want it to, R148

by Anonymousreply 151March 3, 2020 11:49 PM

Why, r118? This election isn't about your "parts".

Vote For Patriot Joe!

by Anonymousreply 152March 3, 2020 11:49 PM

R147, Waiting for pix.

by Anonymousreply 153March 3, 2020 11:50 PM

r148 There is no conspiracy. They do exit polls. Sometimes they are right on, sometimes they aren't. Tonight they're right.

Bernie's having a tougher night than he planned because polls showed people voting in their first Democratic primary went to Joe by 4%, and the young voters, as usual, are not turning out in numbers Bernie said they would.

Are we going to see a bunch of immediate calls in 8 minutes when the next fees states close?

by Anonymousreply 155March 3, 2020 11:52 PM

The more states that come in for Biden, expect the Bernie Bots to start spreading the conspiracy theories.

It is fun watching some of them melt down, like fat fuck Michael Moore last night.

by Anonymousreply 156March 3, 2020 11:52 PM

Where are the young voters????

by Anonymousreply 157March 3, 2020 11:53 PM

Tulsi must be so happy. Now she can save money by sharing a room with her one delegate at the Milwaukee Airport Red Roof Inn and split the cost of a cab ride to the convention

by Anonymousreply 158March 3, 2020 11:54 PM

Claire McCaskill is laying some hard truths on the Bros.

by Anonymousreply 159March 3, 2020 11:54 PM

Claire McKaskil going in on Bernie. Evidently, she hates him.

You in danger, girl

by Anonymousreply 160March 3, 2020 11:54 PM

Have I mentioned how much I love Claire McCaskill? I wish she was re-elected in 2018 because she knows her shit and is perfectly laying out a portion of the argument against the electability of Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 161March 3, 2020 11:55 PM

Given what a mess the polling is been there lately, I very much doubt they'll be able to call Massachusetts.

by Anonymousreply 162March 3, 2020 11:55 PM

I voted for Uncle Joe in Minnesota.

I would choose Warren if I weren’t voted strategically to oust the current president.

I’d vote for Bloomberg or Gabbard before Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 165March 3, 2020 11:56 PM

Warren needs to follow Amy's lead.

You would not defeat Trump, Liz.

And if Trump dares mention Hunter, Joe simply can go, "I believe that American tax-payers are more interested in how their money is going to Don Junior, Eric, and Ivanka."

by Anonymousreply 166March 3, 2020 11:56 PM

I think Alabama and Tennessee are the only immediate calls we're going to get at 8.

by Anonymousreply 167March 3, 2020 11:57 PM

Will the Bros on Twitter keep screaming conspiracy/it's rigged when Bernie wins California and probably Texas? Or is it only rigged when anyone but St. Bernie gets a delegate?

by Anonymousreply 168March 3, 2020 11:57 PM

David Chalian's enthusiasm is my favorite thing on CNN

by Anonymousreply 169March 3, 2020 11:57 PM

R161 Yet another reason why I'm glad I moved from Missouri. They got rid of Claire McCaskill for that douchebro Josh Hawley, a far right Trump ass licker.

Fuck off Missouri, you really lost a good Senator there.

by Anonymousreply 170March 3, 2020 11:58 PM

[quote]Where is Claire doing this and/or what is she saying?

She was on MSNBC. She was talking about how the way you win is not to demonize the supporters of other candidates. And that in her conversation with the freshman members of the House, they don't think Bernie's agenda is what they need.

by Anonymousreply 171March 3, 2020 11:58 PM

r165 She's on MSNBC talking about the nominee needing to build a coalition of all of the groups of voters and how Bernie attacking moderate/establishment Dems is the opposite of what he should be doing if he wants to win in the general.

by Anonymousreply 172March 3, 2020 11:58 PM

There are two small precincts that aren’t closing until 8 in N.C. because of technical problems. The State BOE will start releasing their numbers at 8:10 so we’ll see how the map looks for Biden there soon.

by Anonymousreply 187March 4, 2020 12:11 AM

Bloomberg! please let him tank tonight and drop out. Why is this manic desiring a brokered convention? Does he think he can pay off the delegates in a smoke filled room?

by Anonymousreply 188March 4, 2020 12:11 AM

PollTroll I would argue that Biden doing well early will help him in California. People, particularly undecided people, like to be on a winning team. They are in their way home and might swing by and vote when hearing Biden is doing better than expected.

by Anonymousreply 189March 4, 2020 12:12 AM

I know how the DL feels about Al Sharpton, but his comments about James Clyburn endorsing Biden a really lovely.

by Anonymousreply 190March 4, 2020 12:13 AM

[quote]PollTroll I would argue that Biden doing well early will help him in California.

Agreed. That's what Wasserman was saying above -- Biden has a chance now of shrinking the Sanders lead in California, which only became possible a few days ago.

I am that bottom for BIDEN!

by Anonymousreply 192March 4, 2020 12:15 AM

So far Biden is doing better in the states that he was already favored to win, and he's giving Sanders a real fight in the states that Bernie should be walking away with like Maine and Massachusetts.

by Anonymousreply 193March 4, 2020 12:15 AM

It's early. Agree with Jane, Bernie will rally.

by Anonymousreply 194March 4, 2020 12:15 AM

Yes, R193. Biden is also at 22% in Vermont, which means that he looks likely to win some delegates there, too. It's not as big of a blowout in Vermont for Sanders as expected.

by Anonymousreply 195March 4, 2020 12:15 AM

Interesting since I looked at a poll for CA sometime last week and I swear it said something like Bernie having a 90% likelihood of taking CA.

One factor that could still give Bernie a chance of finishing ahead: the early voting numbers.

by Anonymousreply 203March 4, 2020 12:24 AM

Biden ahead in the early numbers in MAINE & MASSACHUSETTS.

Bernie ahead in TEXAS.

by Anonymousreply 204March 4, 2020 12:25 AM

by Anonymousreply 210March 4, 2020 12:26 AM

I'm really digging old Claire now that she's gone off the hook on MSNBC.

She was more reserved as a Senator but as a commentator, she really tells it like it is.

Missouri's loss is our gain.

by Anonymousreply 211March 4, 2020 12:26 AM

Early results in N.C. have Biden up 6 points over Bernie. Bloomberg viable at 18%, Warren unviable at 12%.

by Anonymousreply 212March 4, 2020 12:27 AM

What we should really be thinking about is 2024. If Biden gets the nom and beats Trump, I can't see him winning a second term. His campaign morale relies on damage control and being the only one "able" to beat Trump. But what next? Once he's sworn in, Repugs and Dems alike will tear him to shreds. A new radical Repug will steal the hearts of deplorables everywhere and Joe will be gone in 2024 if he doesn't die first.

If Trump wins a second term, people will be so fed up with him that a Democrat will almost surely take over in 2024. Don't get me wrong, nothing would give me greater joy than seeing Trump lose. But I am worried about the long-term consequences of a Biden presidency.

by Anonymousreply 213March 4, 2020 12:27 AM

R213 is almost as concerned as me.

by Anonymousreply 214March 4, 2020 12:29 AM

Bloomberg... you can't buy the lead

Bernie.... the movement... needs some fiber.

by Anonymousreply 216March 4, 2020 12:29 AM

by Anonymousreply 217March 4, 2020 12:30 AM

by Anonymousreply 233March 4, 2020 12:41 AM

R230 that reminds me of something that happened in 2016.

Had a friend on Social Meida who was a total Bern Bro. Screaming and shouting at everyone that their choices were the WRONG choice and they were starting a revolution and he had already gotten thousands of people guaranteed to turn out for one of the caucuses being held the next day.

The next day he starts posting: Where is everyone? Are you all coming? What's going on?

Apparently none of the thousands of people who told him they were going showed up.

by Anonymousreply 234March 4, 2020 12:43 AM

Biden at over 60% in Alabama. Bernie at only 10% and may not be viable.

by Anonymousreply 324March 4, 2020 1:23 AM

Even though he had NO chance to win, Bernie stayed in all the way to the convention last time and even worse, kept bashing Hillary (the presumptive nominee at that point) and the Democratic party all the way there.

He also kept telling his supporters (cultists?) that he could win at a contested convention even though there was next to no chance of that happening. He gave them false hope and when it didn't happen, they took it out on Hillary and the Democrats.

Bernie caused a lot of damage back in 2016; fuck him.

MSNBC projecting that Biden will end up with an 80-90 delegate lead by the end of the night.

by Anonymousreply 475March 4, 2020 2:50 AM

What states vote next after tonight?

Will JOEmentum continue on?

by Anonymousreply 476March 4, 2020 2:52 AM

AP calling MA for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 477March 4, 2020 2:54 AM

Politico calling Utah for Bernie, showing Biden at 13.9% with 48.6% reported. Bloomberg at 19.2

by Anonymousreply 478March 4, 2020 2:55 AM

Florida is next week and we hate Bernie!

by Anonymousreply 479March 4, 2020 2:56 AM

Sanders lead in TX down to 3.7%

by Anonymousreply 480March 4, 2020 2:59 AM

What the hell is wrong with Utah Democrats?

by Anonymousreply 481March 4, 2020 2:59 AM

Pete Buttigieg met with Jimmy Carter before he flew to Indiana and withdrew. I believe party elders advised Pete to leave before Super Tuesday and endorse Biden. Pete will get a top cabinet post or become the DNC chair. Biden likes him. I would not rule Pete out being offered the VP candidate role; but believe a woman or an African-American would be Biden's running mate if Biden wins out.

Warren is going nowhere. She's behind in Massachusetts.

by Anonymousreply 482March 4, 2020 2:59 AM

What is a Utah Democrat?

by Anonymousreply 483March 4, 2020 3:00 AM

CNN cannot project a winner in CALIFORNIA, but Sanders is the early leader.

by Anonymousreply 484March 4, 2020 3:00 AM

What are there, three of them, r484?

by Anonymousreply 485March 4, 2020 3:01 AM

Wow so Biden didn't spend a dime in MA, didn't have an office there, nor did he air any ads there.

by Anonymousreply 486March 4, 2020 3:02 AM

^oops meant r481 @r485.

by Anonymousreply 487March 4, 2020 3:02 AM

Bloomberg is killing Biden in Texas, and will go on to kill Biden in California as well most likely.

by Anonymousreply 488March 4, 2020 3:02 AM

Sanders with a big lead among Latinos in California and Young Voters.

Biden leading with Older voters.

by Anonymousreply 489March 4, 2020 3:03 AM

AP is already calling CA for Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 490March 4, 2020 3:04 AM

Bloomberg's bid is fucked. He will be seen now only as a spoiler. Biden had too many successes in different places tonight.

by Anonymousreply 491March 4, 2020 3:04 AM

Texas too close to call.

by Anonymousreply 492March 4, 2020 3:04 AM

AP called California for Sanders

by Anonymousreply 493March 4, 2020 3:04 AM

It's very early for California. Polls just closed.

by Anonymousreply 494March 4, 2020 3:04 AM

NYT/Nate Cohn says Bernie leading by 15 points in California Exit Poll.

by Anonymousreply 495March 4, 2020 3:04 AM

I haven't been a Warren supporter and think she's run a horrible campaign, but I feel bad that she didn't even win her own state. They are going to blame sexism and misogyny, but this is really all about learning how to read the room.

by Anonymousreply 496March 4, 2020 3:05 AM

r479, March 17th.

by Anonymousreply 497March 4, 2020 3:06 AM

Latinos love Tio Bernie.

by Anonymousreply 498March 4, 2020 3:06 AM

Ive spent a lot of time in steam rooms with Kornacki.

by Anonymousreply 499March 4, 2020 3:08 AM

I'm sorry but why is Maddow on MSNBC trying to spin Warren coming in third in her home state as "well.... it's not too bad"

by Anonymousreply 500March 4, 2020 3:08 AM

^ SPILL. NOW.

by Anonymousreply 501March 4, 2020 3:08 AM

He's a premature ejaculator, right, R499?

by Anonymousreply 502March 4, 2020 3:08 AM

A lot of people don't watch cable news or the debates but still watch much TV and still see a massive number of Bloomberg ads. It does impact.

by Anonymousreply 503March 4, 2020 3:09 AM

R500, because she's about as tone deaf as Warren.

by Anonymousreply 504March 4, 2020 3:09 AM

[quote]Wasn't Nate Silver saying like two weeks ago that Bernie was going to end up winning every single state Joe has gotten?

R420 I was one who defended him after the 2016 election, but at this point you could stick a fork in Nate Silver. He's just not the guru people thought he was. And he becomes such a defensive little bitch on twitter when he is called out about it.

by Anonymousreply 505March 4, 2020 3:09 AM

wow Biden was only at 11% in Massachusetts in this past weekend's poll now he's projected to beat both Warren and Sanders

I like Warren a lot and think she ran a great campaign. Sexism really is her enemy. She's so much more likable than Sanders. I voted for Biden and I'm glad I helped him win.

While it's true Bloomberg is messing with Biden's numbers in Texas and California, Warren is doing the same to Sanders so I hope she stays in

by Anonymousreply 506March 4, 2020 3:10 AM

Dumb California.

And I’m a Californian.

by Anonymousreply 507March 4, 2020 3:11 AM

Did Biden spend time with Latino voters during the last year? I know Sanders and Warren did. The Latinos seem to be solidly behind Sanders and that's a huge factor in Texas and California

by Anonymousreply 508March 4, 2020 3:11 AM

Very pertinent point made today by New York Times Columnist Charles Blow:

“Every presidential candidate was born before 1950, before commercial computers, color TV broadcasting, home microwaves and modems. Let that sink in”

Age of remaining top presidential candidates at 2021 inauguration:

Warren: 71 (June 22, 1949) Trump: 74 (June 14, 1946) Biden: 78 (November 20, 1942) Bloomberg: 78 (February 14, 1942) Sanders: 79 (September 8, 1941)

by Anonymousreply 509March 4, 2020 3:11 AM

So Bloomberg’s having an even worse night than Bernie, apparently.

by Anonymousreply 510March 4, 2020 3:11 AM

Why is sexism her enemy, specifically. Bring receipts.

I like her sincerity but man running her campaign with her odd personality would have fared as badly.

by Anonymousreply 511March 4, 2020 3:11 AM

Biden wins Mass.

Ouch.

by Anonymousreply 512March 4, 2020 3:12 AM

CNN calls MASSACHUSETTS for BIDEN

by Anonymousreply 513March 4, 2020 3:12 AM

LOL.

by Anonymousreply 514March 4, 2020 3:12 AM

I just hope Biden gets a chunk of delegates from Texas and Massachusetts. I think Sanders will win both but hopefully not landslides

by Anonymousreply 515March 4, 2020 3:12 AM

If Bernie wins Texas and California, we’re talking about a fight all the way to the convention. What a disaster for Democrats. Thanks, Michael Bloomberg.

by Anonymousreply 516March 4, 2020 3:13 AM

R515 you mean California. Biden already won MA.

by Anonymousreply 517March 4, 2020 3:13 AM

Biden down by only 2.3% in Texas.

by Anonymousreply 518March 4, 2020 3:13 AM

MSNBC saying that Biden might still win TX.

by Anonymousreply 519March 4, 2020 3:14 AM

R511 you don't think Sanders is an oddball? Warren has actually accomplished things in her career. Sanders just yells

why is Sanders more popular than her? It certainly isn't about accomplishments or intelligence.

by Anonymousreply 520March 4, 2020 3:14 AM

[quote]Bernie in danger of falling beneath viability in Alabama

Not that he was ever going to do well there, but serves him right for skipping the Selma events.

by Anonymousreply 521March 4, 2020 3:14 AM

Bloomie would give his delegates to Biden.

by Anonymousreply 522March 4, 2020 3:14 AM

I can post again! Lol

I'm in OK. Joe wins over Bernie. Warren who was born and raised here is not viable at 13%. Bloomy also not viable at 14%. I did hear that Mike already has over seven million dollars of ads ready to go for tomorrow in states that vote next week. So I guess he isn't ready to drop out.

I ended up going with Bernie, but if Joe is the nominee, I will vote for him in Nov..

by Anonymousreply 523March 4, 2020 3:15 AM

I just can’t stand Elizabeth Warren.

by Anonymousreply 524March 4, 2020 3:15 AM

Looks like Bloomberg is giving Bernie a run in CA.

by Anonymousreply 525March 4, 2020 3:15 AM

[quote]Don't get me wrong, nothing would give me greater joy than seeing Trump lose. But I am worried about the long-term consequences of a Biden presidency.

How about being a bit worried about the long-term consequences of a 2nd Trump term. You know, something really to worry about.

by Anonymousreply 526March 4, 2020 3:16 AM

Oh shush. Warren is the best, but she ain't winning this thing.

by Anonymousreply 527March 4, 2020 3:16 AM

If you want to know how Bernie bots are reacting, head on over to r/politics. Elizabeth Warren is getting the shit kicked out of her right now because she has the audacity not to drop out. She's not a real progressive and she should probably just die.

by Anonymousreply 528March 4, 2020 3:16 AM

Biden's got issues, serious issues, but at this point, it is probably Biden, and we all gotta get behind that.

by Anonymousreply 529March 4, 2020 3:17 AM

Can any of you guys please link me to a site like the NyTimes (non paid) that has a live resulta with map of each state?

Thanks

by Anonymousreply 530March 4, 2020 3:17 AM

Tonight, the Democrats defeated our own version of Trump.

Well done America!

by Anonymousreply 531March 4, 2020 3:18 AM

I am still afraid Trump might get reelected.

If Biden emerges as the nominee, repubs will spewing and spinning the Ukraine/Hunter bullshit through November. The question will be how well that resonates with casual news viewers and people who don't really follow it at all. Remember how effective the Obama birther and Hillary Benghazi/emails fake scandals were.

If Sanders wins, they'll play the socialist card and try scare off white suburbanites that they'll lose all their money and the stock market will crash

by Anonymousreply 532March 4, 2020 3:19 AM

[quote]MSNBC saying that Biden might still win TX.

Interesting. That's what Dave Wasserman has been saying for a while.

by Anonymousreply 533March 4, 2020 3:19 AM

[QUOTE] Biden's got issues, serious issues

And Comrade Bernie doesn’t? How about the weeklong dustup he caused by praising Fidel Castro’s “education” program?

by Anonymousreply 534March 4, 2020 3:19 AM

R529 and Bernie DOESNT have issues?

by Anonymousreply 535March 4, 2020 3:19 AM

Guys. This history making evening has only proven one thing: it’s time for all of us to unite behind Tulsi Gabbard, the trailblazing future of our party!

by Anonymousreply 536March 4, 2020 3:19 AM

Two lessons from tonight:

- You can’t buy an election.

- Pundits don’t know shit. Ignore them.

by Anonymousreply 537March 4, 2020 3:19 AM

Biden is on track to win N.C. by 20 points.

by Anonymousreply 538March 4, 2020 3:19 AM

if you can't stand Warren, how can you stand Sanders?

I feel bad for her.

by Anonymousreply 539March 4, 2020 3:20 AM

Hunter's usefulness is primarily to drag out a few last Trump voters. However, that's not going to offset their massive bleeding in the suburbs.

by Anonymousreply 540March 4, 2020 3:20 AM

everyone needs to put their usual bitter behind them and focus on the goal ahead. I ain't happy, but it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you are happy. get with the goddamn program.

by Anonymousreply 541March 4, 2020 3:20 AM

R536 Go to hell, Ronna!

by Anonymousreply 542March 4, 2020 3:20 AM

R532, Repukes will spin whatever shit they want to. No candidate will be immune to their venom. We just have to be unified.

by Anonymousreply 543March 4, 2020 3:20 AM

Biden down now by only 1.4% in Texas.

by Anonymousreply 544March 4, 2020 3:22 AM

Bernie’s going to get his ass kicked to Cuba in the Florida primary.

by Anonymousreply 545March 4, 2020 3:23 AM

There are more big states coming up later: Florida, Pennsylvania, NY, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, etc.

by Anonymousreply 546March 4, 2020 3:23 AM

[quote]If Biden emerges as the nominee, repubs will spewing and spinning the Ukraine/Hunter bullshit through November. The question will be how well that resonates with casual news viewers and people who don't really follow it at all.

Who.Gives.A.Shit.About.Hunter.

I mean, it's not like the three eldest spawn of the current incumbent are clean and pristine now correct? I mean, they make Hunter Biden look like Mother Teresa in comparison.

My only ongoing concern about Biden and the party is that they'll allow Trump and the Repubs to set the tone and narrative, rather than the other way round. "They go low, we go high" crap etc etc. They need to learn to hit HARD and hit OFTEN. Bloomberg's ads have done this well to good effect imo - he's not afraid to pull punches there, it's effective.

by Anonymousreply 547March 4, 2020 3:24 AM

Warren just sent out a message she's not leaving the race

haha good I hope she stays in as that fucks up Sanders' support

by Anonymousreply 548March 4, 2020 3:24 AM

Does Bernie turn so red when he gives a speech in an attempt to become a person of color?

by Anonymousreply 549March 4, 2020 3:25 AM

Bloomberg basically spoiled a sure victory for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 550March 4, 2020 3:25 AM

fine, more big states, awesome. Whoever wins tonight, I hope they win big and we can get past this shit and get on to defeating Trump, the true danger to the Republic.

by Anonymousreply 551March 4, 2020 3:26 AM

I’m switching stations because they all have different numbers, and Fox has Bernie’s lead in Texas down to 1.6%.

by Anonymousreply 552March 4, 2020 3:26 AM

I actually think Bloomberg has stayed this long because he wants to be the counterpart of Warren, ie. the spoilers who are taking away voters from Biden and Sanders respectively, so that the BernieBots can't really claim only Sanders has a spoiler.

by Anonymousreply 553March 4, 2020 3:26 AM

Bernie wins California. Fuck you, OP.

by Anonymousreply 554March 4, 2020 3:26 AM

R547 the repubs are relentless. Already starting yesterday fucking Ron Johnson started up on Hunter Biden again. They're going to do a drip drip of non-scandal new details about Hunter's work in Ukraine and make it seem as suspicious as possible. We here all know it's bullshit but it's hard to know what casual news viewers and people who don't follow much news will think. I would HOPE people now realize Trump and the repubs are liars but who the hell knows. Call me a pessimist but I was so hopeful in 2016 and got burned

by Anonymousreply 555March 4, 2020 3:26 AM

Bernie is like Manson and his minions AOC and the rest of the squad are like his murderous followers.

well if that is the case r553 hope he drops his ass out tomorrow. do not make this a pissing contest, por favor.

by Anonymousreply 558March 4, 2020 3:27 AM

Bloomie should be embarrassed by his showing.

Biden now down only 1.3% in Texas.

by Anonymousreply 559March 4, 2020 3:27 AM

Regardless how this ends up it was a GREAT night for Vice President Biden

by Anonymousreply 560March 4, 2020 3:28 AM

r554, it was expected.

by Anonymousreply 561March 4, 2020 3:29 AM

r555 they better have learned their lessons from 2016. You can't come to a sword fight with a butter knife. Bring it on and bring it hard, and EARLY. Counter each and every assertion from them with an equally compelling and accurate one - it's not as if there isn't a ton to work with there.

Perhaps Bloomie will be willing to reach into those deep pockets of his, and lend out his media team to craft some ads for Biden in the fall.

by Anonymousreply 562March 4, 2020 3:29 AM

and if it's Joe, r555, get on that shit. do NOT BE POLITE. Fuck that shit up. Please do not be old uncle Joe thinking that oh these Republicans are pretty decent deep down. They are cunts from start to finish. Please get that.

by Anonymousreply 563March 4, 2020 3:30 AM

Biden down by .7% in Texas.

by Anonymousreply 564March 4, 2020 3:30 AM

[quote] Warren just sent out a message she's not leaving the race. haha good I hope she stays in as that fucks up Sanders' support

I half wonder if she's staying in mostly to siphon votes from Sanders. Maybe she's part of the whole Pete-Amy-Beto pact to keep Sanders from getting the nomination.

by Anonymousreply 565March 4, 2020 3:31 AM

Joe Biden is doing incredibly well in states that he never visited, where he opened zero field offices, and where he spent next to nothing on ads and direct mail.

by Anonymousreply 566March 4, 2020 3:31 AM

r555/r563: that's why Stapler Amy may be a good pick for VP. She's a total bitch on wheels, and I mean that in the best way. She will EVISCERATE Pence in the debates, and go after Trump with an unfearful vengeance.

Biden's choice of VP will be critical and key.

by Anonymousreply 567March 4, 2020 3:32 AM

[quote]Biden down by .7% in Texas.

Looks like Dave Wasserman's prediction is coming true.

by Anonymousreply 568March 4, 2020 3:32 AM

Bernie’s Texas lead down to like half a percentage point. Biden will take the lead soon!

by Anonymousreply 569March 4, 2020 3:32 AM

This just show that Biden would have handily won in 2016, and Trump wouldn't.

by Anonymousreply 570March 4, 2020 3:33 AM

R565, I’m pretty sure that’s the case. I think she was promised something by Biden. Tbh, I’m happy with anything that derails Bernie, so I’m glad she’s still staying in the race. Bernie can have a taste of what it’s like, considering his shenanigans in 2016.

by Anonymousreply 575March 4, 2020 3:34 AM

Biden down by .5% in texas

by Anonymousreply 576March 4, 2020 3:35 AM

by Anonymousreply 582March 4, 2020 3:36 AM

F-*-C-K O-F-F r578. As if your boy Bernie gives a shit either. The most self-centered, power-drunk candidate since....Trump in 2016 actually.

Biden's wrapping this up. let's all deal with that reality, and wake up in the morning.

by Anonymousreply 589March 4, 2020 3:38 AM

I know repubs try to make voting harder in certain areas of Texas but why are there some spots in California with very long lines too? Isn't California all controlled by the Democrats?

where I live in another state there's never even a line and I live in a big city

by Anonymousreply 590March 4, 2020 3:38 AM

R582 They did the same thing to Pete, including harassing him at campaign events, then expected his supporters to join u with Bernie after Pete dropped. I even saw them claiming Pete was going to endorse Bernie.

The delusion is strong with the Bros

by Anonymousreply 591March 4, 2020 3:39 AM

Since you get a proportion of delegates, it's not a deal breaker not to win a state. It's almost irrelevant.

As long as the split is diluted, the more Bernie goes bust.

Imagine what he faces in Florida!

by Anonymousreply 592March 4, 2020 3:39 AM

Interesting note about Vermont:

In 2016, Sanders swept all 16 of Vermont's delegates. Today, Biden will get 5.
