Jazz is such a good friend to Noelle. Sadly though, Noelle is beyond help in looking like a girl.

Tonight was the 2-hour finale. Jazz (but really TLC) raised enough money for Noelle's surgery, and they focused about 1/4 of the episode on it. They had some shot of her in the hospital prepping for surgery and then back in her room when done. The hack doctor who botched Jazz's operation handled this one but said because Noelle actually went through natural puberty (unlike Jazz) there was adequate skin to fashion a vagoo. Cringe moment: Jazz all excited to tell groggy Noelle that they were able to create a vag that went 6 inches deep! Later, they showed the friends shopping and Noelle confiding that dilating was no fun but now that she had her girl part, she was ready to go to college and get herself a "boo".

The show ended with title cards telling us that Jazz realizes that she has to fix her mental health issues and isn't ready for the life of a Harvard student, and will be taking a year off to get it sorted out. Who didn't see that coming.

There was another creepy moment while Noelle was laying in the hospital after the surgery. Her parents, Jazz and her mother are gathered around the bed and the surgeon comes in to tell how everything went. The doctor told the gathered group that she was able to make Noelle's vagina look pretty. Wow, just what everyone needs to know. *NOTE: The surgeon is the one that also did Jazz's reassignment surgery, which needed 3-4 fixes. Also, the surgeon is a trans person herself.

I knew where gay/LGBT bars were but I never went to them even if close family friends did, and while my mother knew I am bisexual-she caught me jerking off with a male friend when I was very young and saw how I would react around boys and girls I was friends with-I was given time to accept myself and come out but there was never a need to do this with my mom.

I feel bad for kids and teens who just imitate the opposite sex/gender, or who are told that because they are a femme/effeminate guy or a masculine/androgynous girl that they are trans, MUST take hormones, and MUST transition or have the full or partial surgery. I have bisexual men as friends who are femme/androgynous and the one guy would now be told that since he's not masculine and sometimes dresses in drag that he's trans but he has been to a therapist and has no desire to get a sex change surgery, take hormones, etc. A gay family friend who is a queen would be told the same thing today that he is "trans" when he is just femme/camp, and sometimes dresses in drag for fun, and my friends who are drag queens-my mom is a proud fag hag/mother figure to gay men who were rejected by their families-would have been told that they are trans and need to take hormones, transition, etc.

There are people who apparently are trans but it is not as high in the population as trans activists claim. I never thought I would say this; but I am glad I am a Gen X'er and grew up before the Transanity happened.

I know people who are Trans but they lived as both sexes/genders, and had a shitload of therapy for decades before they ever decided to transition, which they did as adults by their own choice, and some did not get any or all of the surgery on their genitals. After transitioning they all seem to be extremely jaded and angry, and the hormones do not help. I know the one who is much older knows that transitioning is not going to solve all of someone's personal problems or magically make your life better; but I wonder if these kids/teens know this?

I have seen FTM or transmen in local stores here and the one transguy working a deli counter was cute, and there was a pharmacy cashier who was obviously Trans who looked like a butch lesbian on hormones but had a man's name but they never stay employed long and cannot even hold down a minimum wage job. I wonder if they were "triggered" and quit over something that nobody else would have quit over?

I have friends who are Transgender but they did this as adults, by their own choice, and they all lived as boys, teens, and men for decades before making the choice as adults to take hormones, and get surgery.

Not as children or teens, and they lived as the sex/gender they were born for decades and had decades of therapy before ever deciding to transition at all. A bisexual Transwoman I know who is now in her elderly years and started transitioning when she was in her 50s after decades of psychotherapy said how the hormones, surgery, transitioning, etc. do not all magically make your personal or mental health issues go away, and that life can become worse, as even if you start hormones early or have the best sex change surgeons in the world-the TS/TG woman I knew went to Thailand where they have been doing surgeries for decades-that it is obvious if someone is Transsexual/transgender and that most people do not want to date, sleep with, or partner with a trans person.

I have met and known Trans people-MTF, however they lived for decades as male or the gender/sex they are biologically and had decades of therapy before ever deciding to take any hormones or having any surgery at all, and decided as adults to take hormones and have surgery.

It's basically like: "You don't conform to sex/gender stereotypes or you imitate the opposite sex/gender by putting on clothing of the opposite sex/gender? You are trans! Here's some hormones that will block you from going through puberty, and you must have surgery!"

If someone is trans that's great but they have their entire adult lives to transition, and not all Trans people transition fully or get all of the surgery. I have met trans people both FTM and MTF who as adults made the choice to take hormones and have partial surgery or even no surgery on their genitals, as the surgery is risky and sensitivity and ability to orgasm can be lost.

Agreed R80 or even an inexpensive state university in Florida where they are from. Nowadays as opposed to 20-30+ years ago there are lots of trans and non-binary kids in all sort of colleges, universities, and even public high schools in the USA. I have worked at a public high schools in the USA and there were trans students, and they had 'gender neutral' bathrooms or just used the bathroom of whatever sex/gender they were transitioning to.
