I'm pretty sure he was on Datalounge for years, and was the guy who used to post stories about putting kittens in a garbage disposal when he was a child, and how his mom hated him for it. He would re-post the story a few months later with more details and I got into a huge argument with him on one of the threads.

I'm 99% sure he's #17 on the linked thread below.

That motherfucker was the first one to say "wow wouldn't it be weird if Luka was posting on this thread right now?" when there was a manhunt for him, too.

The garbage disposal guy used to be redtagged on this thread but it's disappeared over the years. Toward the end of the thread you can see people talking about it. Again, I am positive that was him.

The garbage disposal threads were in 2009 and mentioned on the 2012 Luka Magnotta manhunt threads, and were deleted along with the manhunt threads, so all you can find are vague mentions of it here and there.

I applaud the internet group for doing so much to help, but I think it is a fair question to ask if all the attention they were giving him didn't escalate matters. Just binged all three eps in one evening, something I never do. I think it was pretty much the perfect documentary.

I remember first hearing about bestgore when luka killed that poor Chinese guy and uploaded the video-bestgore put it on their site (of course) but they also immediately called the police who ignored them for the longest time. The doc essentially ignores that side of the story, and frankly I don’t blame them!

I'm really bugged by the idea of this show, since I think it will only end up popularizing animal torture videos and will thus be giving disturbed people ideas.

I also highly recommend “Henry Lee Lucas: The Confession Killer” (also on Netflix).

I like documentaries which have lots of twists and turns and this definitely had them. I was only vaguely aware of the Magnotta case which helped made it suspenseful to me. The Basic Instinct ‘reveal’ at the end was amazing! I wonder what his dumb mother thought of it and if in her heart she still thinks there’s a Manny out there after watching the documentary.

I loved “Abducted In Plain Sight” (Netflix) too. There were a lot of WTF reveals in that one, some of which had me howling with laughter.

I just noticed something that was never mentioned in the documentary or anywhere else that I'm aware of. In his third and final cat video--the one where he taped the cat to the stick and drowned it in the bathtub--he had a bottle of cologne sitting in the rear corner of the tub. A) Nobody keeps a bottle of cologne in that spot (why would you?) and B) Nothing this psycho featured in his vids was placed there by accident. Now knowing that his next video would be of himself killing a human and dismembering/decapitating him, I'd say that bottle of Jean Paul Gaultier was quite foreshadowing:

I couldn't watch this knowing about the animal torture. For whatever reason, I'm very cold-blooded when it comes to a lot of True Crime stories, but this one really is too much for me, despite finding it fascinating.

I was posting in the thread about the manhunt that Magnotta was likely posting in before his capture and its subsequent deletion. Despite the remove of being behind the keyboard, it remains one of the most unsettling experiences of my life.
