Lt. Col. Vindman is up. His family is being placed under protection. What a country...
Impeachment Hearing: Day 3
by Anonymous | reply 610 | November 20, 2019 12:16 AM |
Yeah, Schiff is in the house.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 19, 2019 1:03 PM |
Vindman in full uniform again.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 19, 2019 1:06 PM |
Here we go!!!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 19, 2019 1:09 PM |
omg the repubs brought their dumb propaganda posters
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 19, 2019 1:13 PM |
Let's go Schiff!
I have a new found respect for this man. And for Pelosi.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 19, 2019 1:16 PM |
The guy on the left behind Schiff looks like the Latino (what was his name?) from HBO's Looking. No?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 19, 2019 1:17 PM |
Yes! Schiff calls out the Fox assholes for questioning Vindman's loyalty to the US
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 19, 2019 1:19 PM |
I hate Nunes.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 19, 2019 1:20 PM |
Moo moo moo!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 19, 2019 1:20 PM |
LMFAO Nunes saying the mainstream media is still reporting fake news as they've done the past 3 years.
He is fucking PATHETIC
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 19, 2019 1:20 PM |
I wonder if the repubs will dare attack Vindman on camera
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 19, 2019 1:22 PM |
Why bring up the media to people watching this live. You do that for people not watching this now.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 19, 2019 1:22 PM |
We don't know if he directed Cohen to lie about TT Moscow. That's hearsay.
What does anything Nunes is saying have to do with today's testimony.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 19, 2019 1:23 PM |
what inaccuracies does the whistleblower complaint contain, Nunes? what a fucking liar cow man is
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 19, 2019 1:23 PM |
I hate Nunes too. Does anyone believe him? I am listening to him and I am astounded that he is not deeply embarassed.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 19, 2019 1:24 PM |
Nunes AGAIN repeating "Ukrainian interference" and bringing up FRAUD "journalist" Solomon who has now been discredited
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 19, 2019 1:24 PM |
Does Nunes really think this is helpful? He’s a moron.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 19, 2019 1:25 PM |
and more Hunter Biden blah blah blah
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 19, 2019 1:26 PM |
Yawn, Hunter Biden again.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 19, 2019 1:27 PM |
Fat fuck behind Nunes.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 19, 2019 1:27 PM |
wow he's reaching beyond reality
"it's a textbook example" of bribery that Joe Biden was the point man to remove a corrupt prosecutor?
I wonder how many casual news viewers are believing him right now
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 19, 2019 1:28 PM |
Did he just say Hunter was being paid $83k a month? So it's gone up $33k a month since last week's hearing?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 19, 2019 1:28 PM |
what Nunes is missing is that we are watching it now, and not reliant on the media tobgive us highlights.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 19, 2019 1:29 PM |
The statement was 99% for Trump not anyone else.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 19, 2019 1:29 PM |
R22 and that it's THE real example of bribery lol
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 19, 2019 1:29 PM |
R24 Trump + Fox "News" viewers
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 19, 2019 1:30 PM |
I hope williams gets Pence in doghouse.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 19, 2019 1:30 PM |
Pence has already claimed he doesn't know Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 19, 2019 1:31 PM |
Williams must be a repub. She just said Condi Rice is a personal hero of hers
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 19, 2019 1:32 PM |
Which has been pushed back on by people in his own office -- albeit anonymously.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 19, 2019 1:32 PM |
R28 lmao she already brought him up in her opening statement saying she prepares Ukraine info for him
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 19, 2019 1:33 PM |
[quote] Williams must be a repub. She just said Condi Rice is a personal hero of hers
That was definitely on purpose to show her bona fides as a Repub.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 19, 2019 1:34 PM |
A lot of these witnesses began service under republicans. That’s what makes it so delicious.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 19, 2019 1:34 PM |
Her demeanor suggests she will be severely truthful of her understanding of the facts.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 19, 2019 1:35 PM |
Is that Sheila Jackson Lee sitting in the audience behind Williams?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 19, 2019 1:36 PM |
I half expect Alyssa Milano to pop up behind Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 19, 2019 1:37 PM |
Trumpist call them never trumpers or those against the trump foreign policy.
Those against presidential overreach or extortion more likely
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 19, 2019 1:37 PM |
Vindman is not a great speaker.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 19, 2019 1:39 PM |
Nunes opening statement was written by InfoWars
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 19, 2019 1:39 PM |
Hmmmm, Vindman is going to lull everyone into a deep sleep.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 19, 2019 1:40 PM |
R38, I was going to state that also. Looks really nervous.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 19, 2019 1:40 PM |
When does the blond statue looking guy testify?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 19, 2019 1:42 PM |
Bolton needs to testify. You know he wants to blow trump up.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 19, 2019 1:43 PM |
it's a scary thing to testify like this. I feel bad for him. He's been attacked in the media by Fox
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 19, 2019 1:43 PM |
Note for today: Morrison is Vindmann's apparent superior. If his optics are better, and he offers any criticisms than it may serve to undermine Vindmann to an extent.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 19, 2019 1:43 PM |
I did notice that Williams correctly referred to a “DemocratIC administration”. Most deplorables leave off the “-ic”.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 19, 2019 1:44 PM |
Oh criticising the President!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 19, 2019 1:44 PM |
His papers are shaking. I feel bad for him.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 19, 2019 1:45 PM |
Strong ending actually, even if haltingly delivered.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 19, 2019 1:45 PM |
When the president tweets and attacks these witnesses he is damaging their reputation and possibly hurting their careers. He should be sued for defamation.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | November 19, 2019 1:46 PM |
Yeah, that "my little brother" comment and bringing up fascist countries was a nice touch.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 19, 2019 1:47 PM |
yeah I think Volker and Morrison might be a shit show later today.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | November 19, 2019 1:47 PM |
He comes across as a man threatened.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | November 19, 2019 1:47 PM |
Morrison is over seven feet tall and looks like he’s hung like a horse.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | November 19, 2019 1:48 PM |
hmm Williams won't answer questions about the call per Pence's "classified orders"
by Anonymous | reply 55 | November 19, 2019 1:48 PM |
do we think Schiff expected that answer from Williams?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 19, 2019 1:49 PM |
Ohhhhhh, well this is going to be quick. If nobody can now answer questions.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 19, 2019 1:49 PM |
Schiff wanted it on the record that Pence is blocking disclosure. Pence is going down, too.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 19, 2019 1:50 PM |
They need to unclassify that stuff.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | November 19, 2019 1:50 PM |
R58, but he don’t know her
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 19, 2019 1:52 PM |
Bind man is the type of American I know and respect; an honorable man with a deep love and respect for his country.
Trump and his gang of thugs have done huge damage to the image and fabric of the USA. If ever anyone merited a swing from the gallows it’s Trump and his acolytes.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 19, 2019 1:52 PM |
“Don’t worry, Dad. I’ll be fine for telling the truth.”
by Anonymous | reply 62 | November 19, 2019 1:53 PM |
“Don’t worry, Dad. I’ll be fine for telling the truth.”
by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 19, 2019 1:53 PM |
Vindman-apologoes
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 19, 2019 1:53 PM |
Do you think Schiff intentionally created that slight interruption to establish the classified nature of the call?
by Anonymous | reply 65 | November 19, 2019 1:54 PM |
R65, I think Schiff knows exactly what he’s doing and is doing it masterfully.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 19, 2019 1:56 PM |
[quote]Pence is going down, too.
Fake news. Pence doesn't do oral.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | November 19, 2019 1:56 PM |
The repubs aren't going to like how Vindman makes a judgment that the Trump demand of Zelenskyy was "inappropriate"
by Anonymous | reply 68 | November 19, 2019 1:56 PM |
Vindman seems so pained to testify. He serves the president as a military man. This is breaking his heart.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 19, 2019 1:57 PM |
Vindman seems so pained to testify. He serves the president as a military man. This is breaking his heart.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 19, 2019 1:57 PM |
Vindman could be a great witness and really expose this corrupt administration if he wasn't so insecure. It is really hard to follow him. He is just very dull.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 19, 2019 1:57 PM |
Thanks for the updates! Can't watch while.I am.at.work.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | November 19, 2019 1:59 PM |
This Vindman is very hard to listen to, he keeps stumbling over his words.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | November 19, 2019 2:00 PM |
Good! Schiff is getting it on the record that the “transcripts” are innacurrate.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | November 19, 2019 2:00 PM |
the repub angle will be "Well if Zelensky brought up Burisma first, clearly he knows it was corrupt!!!!!"
by Anonymous | reply 75 | November 19, 2019 2:00 PM |
But both are coming across immensely sincere.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | November 19, 2019 2:01 PM |
OK Goldman work your magic please
by Anonymous | reply 77 | November 19, 2019 2:01 PM |
r70, I don't think Vindman has any great love for Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | November 19, 2019 2:01 PM |
The transcript leaves out Barisma. They both testified to hearing it. Hmmm, I’ve heard talk radio say nothing in that call is about he company just the server from 2016.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | November 19, 2019 2:01 PM |
The brains of the people unable to follow Vindmann have clearly atrophied from disuse.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | November 19, 2019 2:02 PM |
I want Vindman in me quite deeply.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | November 19, 2019 2:02 PM |
She said she would be happy to provide the classified information in a classified setting and Schiff said she could submit it in writing and did't have to appear. No as to Vindman, he is killing Trump. And you know they have fired him from his post and removed him from the WH? They claimed it was "routine" to rotate him. I loved him telling his dad he would be OK. It was a veiled way to let us all know he is under threat. This White House, man they are a gang of thugs. We're teetering on the brink of fascism.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | November 19, 2019 2:03 PM |
Geez people, not everybody is going to be as articulate and well spoken as Taylor. This isn't a movie, this is real life. Give Vindman a break.
As for how boring this is, ever watch the Watergate hearings? The majority of them were very boring; most hearings are.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | November 19, 2019 2:04 PM |
Is it just my impression or is Williams trying not to give clear answers? It seems she's always trying to deflect and be as vague as possible. Spill the beans already.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | November 19, 2019 2:04 PM |
I know I’m basically preaching to the choir but I have two Lieutenant Colonels and one Colonel in my family and these guys do NOT fuck around. Lt. Col. would never ruin his life and career for Trump - you just don’t make it that high up in the armed forces if you’re wishy-washy or political.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | November 19, 2019 2:05 PM |
R83 I agree with you but sadly some in the media will focus on how this hearing wasn't particularly "compelling"
by Anonymous | reply 86 | November 19, 2019 2:06 PM |
R84. She can’t. She can later not in public hearing.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | November 19, 2019 2:06 PM |
I can hear the Fox freaks now "how dare this self-important Vindman man call THE PRESIDENT'S requests inappropriate!!!"
by Anonymous | reply 88 | November 19, 2019 2:08 PM |
R86, irrelevant. This isn’t a singing competition. The opinions of people who want CGI, car chases, explosions and T&A in congressional hearings are of zero importance to anything of value. In fact, we’d all be better off if people realized that an excess of opinions, particularly on subjects of which one is wholly ignorant, is a horrific and repellant character flaw.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | November 19, 2019 2:09 PM |
R89 I'm with you but in today's world of soundbites and highlights it matters. We need an "omg moment" in each hearing
by Anonymous | reply 90 | November 19, 2019 2:11 PM |
Vindman has already provided a few of those R90
by Anonymous | reply 91 | November 19, 2019 2:12 PM |
Is Vindman gay? He pings.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | November 19, 2019 2:13 PM |
True R91. But no, R90, we really don’t.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | November 19, 2019 2:15 PM |
R92, I don't think so, but I agree that he pings, haha. He's cute though - I love the joke he made. I would want him to speak some Russian to me... I think a little bit he made that joke to see Dan Goldman's smile and/or to hit on him on national TV, lmao! (A boy can dream, people.)
These two witnesses really love their country because they look like people that you NEVER ever really see, but you know they're there, y'know?
by Anonymous | reply 94 | November 19, 2019 2:15 PM |
Is Swallowell there today? I just hope he doesn't fart again.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | November 19, 2019 2:15 PM |
I don’t think he pings.
But I’m super hot for Goldman.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | November 19, 2019 2:15 PM |
R92, just waiting for that one
by Anonymous | reply 97 | November 19, 2019 2:15 PM |
Hmm, R40 is a freeper cunt fuck.
by Anonymous | reply 98 | November 19, 2019 2:16 PM |
Why is that woman completely turned to the side behind Vindman, looking at a screen?
It's slightly distracting.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | November 19, 2019 2:17 PM |
R90, no, we don’t. And you’re either brainwashed or you work for a current events commentary show posing as a news program, if you believe that.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | November 19, 2019 2:18 PM |
R95, all members on the committee are there. They wouldn't be able to have the hearing if they weren't all there. This is not an optional attend committee - you're obligated to be there. Just like the Judiciary Committee.
R96, why do you like Goldman's hot ass? What do you see in him? (I'm asking in the sense of, "Ooh, I like him too. I like x about him, what do you like?"
R97, what do you mean by "just waiting for that one"?
by Anonymous | reply 101 | November 19, 2019 2:19 PM |
Nevermind, I see there are several people in a row sitting at desks with laptops out. I just tuned in so I just now saw the pan of the room.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | November 19, 2019 2:20 PM |
R99, she might be a stenographer or reporter. Either way, she's probably taking notes or words down.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | November 19, 2019 2:20 PM |
R100 it's not for me. I don't need it. You know a lot of Americans are dumb and don't care unless there's a bombshell. I'd like to be wrong but that's where we are today
by Anonymous | reply 104 | November 19, 2019 2:21 PM |
R95, not true. Stefanik (-sp?) skipped the first several days.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | November 19, 2019 2:21 PM |
Yes, we do need an OMG moment in each hearing, r100, and a clear, brief, easily understood one. Otherwise the opposition has an opportunity to spin. r90 is right.
by Anonymous | reply 106 | November 19, 2019 2:21 PM |
R104, oh, so, you’re Concerned. Right.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | November 19, 2019 2:22 PM |
R98, if you read the rest of my comments, you'll see I'm not a freeper cunt, asshole. Stating that Vindman is a dull speaker is stating a truth, idiot.
by Anonymous | reply 108 | November 19, 2019 2:22 PM |
R101, just waiting for thread to get into who’s hot or gay. This is DL afterall.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | November 19, 2019 2:22 PM |
for those of you who aren't aware, Fox has been calling the impeachment process "a flop, failure, sham and scam" for the past week. Some moderates who might see those clips could be influenced.
Yes WE KNOW that Fox is a bullshit propaganda outlet but a lot of people think "it's just the republican side"
by Anonymous | reply 110 | November 19, 2019 2:23 PM |
[quote] They wouldn't be able to have the hearing if they weren't all there.
R101 where did you get that, I am not disputing , just Chairman Schiff said something to the effect let the record show we have a quorum. A quorum is just a majority, if it was possible to kill the hearing the Republicans wouldn't show up and kill this hearing.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | November 19, 2019 2:23 PM |
What do you want? More live attacks?
Sometimes the country has to put on its big boy pants and LISTEN.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | November 19, 2019 2:24 PM |
R107 what is your problem? Am I concerned about how this impeachment turns out? Damn right I am. Too many idiots in this country don't know what the fuck is real.
The numbers are gradually going up in our favor but a lot of people still aren't paying attention. You have no idea how little interest so many Americans have in our politics
by Anonymous | reply 113 | November 19, 2019 2:24 PM |
I'm not R98, but I don't find Vindman dull.
Simple matter of opinion.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | November 19, 2019 2:24 PM |
Vindman isn't handsome but he's damn hot. That uniform...
by Anonymous | reply 115 | November 19, 2019 2:26 PM |
Can you guys stop fighting. We are on the same side.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | November 19, 2019 2:26 PM |
I think the people with the laptops are journalists. I recall someone from the BILL TAYLOR hearing day identifying a cute guy behind him as a journalist.
by Anonymous | reply 117 | November 19, 2019 2:27 PM |
Vindman seemed extremely nervous at first, he is getting more composed as he continues to testify. I do have a hard time seeing him barking out orders to lower ranking service members though.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | November 19, 2019 2:27 PM |
R113, endless fretting about people who aren’t paying attention isn’t going to get them to pay attention.
Schiff is running this in a thorough professional way. That’s better than staging false theatrics which will turn many people off.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | November 19, 2019 2:28 PM |
R112 ilook media spin matters. Are there a lot of people watching these hearings? Yes but even more aren't and will rely on whatever clips the media chooses to play
by Anonymous | reply 120 | November 19, 2019 2:28 PM |
R113 and you think that restricting the hearing diction to single syllable words will raise the IQs of the morons who don’t know why they should care? This is reality, not a special ed class. We do not owe anything to the amoral and intellectually lazy.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | November 19, 2019 2:29 PM |
But are you calling people freeper cunts if they have a different opinion, r114?
by Anonymous | reply 122 | November 19, 2019 2:29 PM |
The military is not all about barking out orders. There’s a large professional class.
by Anonymous | reply 123 | November 19, 2019 2:29 PM |
Vindman seems to have found his groove, and is providing better answers. Is the woman in glasses sitting behind him Mrs Vindman?
by Anonymous | reply 124 | November 19, 2019 2:29 PM |
Williams should NOT have that hairstyle. It accentuates her long face.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | November 19, 2019 2:30 PM |
R121 their opinion matters as much as ours sadly
by Anonymous | reply 126 | November 19, 2019 2:30 PM |
R124, I hope not! I wonder if Vindman has a public Facebook to look at. I don't wanna be the one to skip trace him, haha.
R125, does it really matter though with regard to what's happening today?
by Anonymous | reply 127 | November 19, 2019 2:31 PM |
Vindman is adorably nerdy. And , although he's not delivering any "bombshells", he is delivering tons of integrity and pride in being an American. I don't know what the Republicans are going to do with him when it's their turn, but they better be careful.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | November 19, 2019 2:31 PM |
Is Holmes also testifing today?
by Anonymous | reply 129 | November 19, 2019 2:32 PM |
R129 no on Thursday
by Anonymous | reply 130 | November 19, 2019 2:32 PM |
No, R122. Waste of time.
by Anonymous | reply 131 | November 19, 2019 2:33 PM |
They’re still talking about this Chalupa bitch?
by Anonymous | reply 132 | November 19, 2019 2:34 PM |
R128 Yes from the beginning what these 2 bring is immense sincerity, which highlights their collective reservations about what happened (to put it mildly) and how abnormal it was.
by Anonymous | reply 133 | November 19, 2019 2:34 PM |
What will the Republicans ask, you say?
“Lt Col Vindman, isn’t it true that you hate America, unlike our Dear Leader?”
by Anonymous | reply 134 | November 19, 2019 2:35 PM |
lmfao Nunes asking Williams questions before she was working on Ukraine
by Anonymous | reply 135 | November 19, 2019 2:35 PM |
Or that you may may be wrong when singling out comments, r131.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | November 19, 2019 2:35 PM |
“Lt Col Vindman, what do you have to say about this Facebook post where you praise Killary Clinton for eating babies?"
by Anonymous | reply 138 | November 19, 2019 2:36 PM |
I just wish Vindman would tell Nunes to fuck off with the Hunter Biden shit and it is of no relevance.
by Anonymous | reply 139 | November 19, 2019 2:37 PM |
Somebody needs to turn their phone off and not leave it on vibrate. And it's not Swalwell this time.
by Anonymous | reply 141 | November 19, 2019 2:38 PM |
No one is aware of the Republican made up Hunter Biden scandal.
by Anonymous | reply 142 | November 19, 2019 2:38 PM |
where's Nunes going with this?
trying to prove that because Williams and Vindman don't know Hunter Biden's pubic hair color that they're not credible?
by Anonymous | reply 143 | November 19, 2019 2:38 PM |
Neither is aware of the conspiracy theories in the presidents head.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | November 19, 2019 2:38 PM |
"Russian collusion hoax"
OMFG Do I despise Nunes
why the fuck does there have to be a deplorable area in California?
by Anonymous | reply 145 | November 19, 2019 2:39 PM |
I wish Nunes would just drop dead.
by Anonymous | reply 146 | November 19, 2019 2:39 PM |
Once again Republicans are going nowhwere/flailing...
by Anonymous | reply 147 | November 19, 2019 2:39 PM |
Why is Nunes asking questions that he knows they cannot answer? That's so stupid. Now I wonder what kind of questions Castor will have...
by Anonymous | reply 148 | November 19, 2019 2:39 PM |
Nunes's entire strategy has been to attempt to use the impeachment hearings to conduct the 2016 election and Burisma investigations that Trump wants.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | November 19, 2019 2:40 PM |
^ He just wants to mention the Bidens as much as possible and implicate them in this somehow.
by Anonymous | reply 150 | November 19, 2019 2:40 PM |
He’s accusing them as being leakers. They are desperate if this is their cross examination
by Anonymous | reply 151 | November 19, 2019 2:40 PM |
R143, partially but mostly Nunes is using his opening time throw as much conspiracy/Biden shit against the wall and see what sticks. Whether there are answers or not is irrelevent.
by Anonymous | reply 152 | November 19, 2019 2:41 PM |
is he trying to have Williams and Vindman out the whistleblower?
by Anonymous | reply 153 | November 19, 2019 2:41 PM |
R166, I totally agree with you. He needs to be dead like his cow(s) will be...
I'm not understanding where Nunes is going here...it doesn't make sense to ask them about media inquiries or statements. They've never been in front of a camera until today...
by Anonymous | reply 154 | November 19, 2019 2:42 PM |
True, R152 he is doing that because he knows that will almost entirely not give him what he wants.

Schiff says, Mooove on, bossy.

Nunes is trying to find out who was then whistleblower.
by Anonymous | reply 161 | November 19, 2019 2:44 PM |
He’s trying to make this as meaningless as possible, R157.
by Anonymous | reply 162 | November 19, 2019 2:44 PM |
R148, Nunes is trying to hold his own hearing into the made up conspiracy theories against the Biden's and to try and discount the factual findings of the Mueller report.
by Anonymous | reply 163 | November 19, 2019 2:44 PM |
R136, what on earth are you talking about?
by Anonymous | reply 164 | November 19, 2019 2:46 PM |
here's the drama
Nunes trying to out the whistleblower. This will blow up in both mainstream and rightwing nutjob land.
Mainstream media will rightfully bash the fuck out of Nunes. Right wingers will accuse Vindman and Schiff of "covering up"

Fucking MAGA hat-wearing piece of shit sitting in the audience.
by Anonymous | reply 166 | November 19, 2019 2:46 PM |

R164 you put yourself in the middle of something you clearly should have stayed out of, particularly since you didn't read the R numbers that were referenced in previous posts before you commented. It wasn't just "a matter of opinion" but you had to jump in.

by Anonymous | reply 184 | November 19, 2019 2:56 PM |
The dangerous obsession with exposing the initial whistleblower is contemptible. I get that there is a great need to establish a partisan foundation for this (which has long been make irrelevant) that can swing opinion, but it will endanger lives of families. It is shameful. And I support legal action against anyone who crosses the line.
by Anonymous | reply 185 | November 19, 2019 2:56 PM |
Vindman is a lot younger than I thought he was. Nunes keeps spouting conspiracy theories and coaching them as questions.

Does that make him partisan, or patriot? I guess we know how that decision is made...
by Anonymous | reply 213 | November 19, 2019 3:13 PM |
fucking PATHETIC
repub counsel trying to throw out Vindman's loyalty by asking about the Ukrainian offer to give him a position in the government. Vindman flatly turned it down but repubs are going to use it to continue their narrative of "where does his loyalty truly lie?"

Republicans have had weeks to prepare for these hearings. Castor's questions have been on topics tangential to key issues in the impeachment inquiry. Nunes spent his time floating Hunter Biden conspiracies and trying to out the whistleblower. This is a tell. They have bupkes

I want to slap the shit out of Chuck Toad. After the morning session was finished, he kept saying that he’s just isn’t sure that the Dems have met the “very high bar” of convincing the country that Congress should disqualify tRump from facing the voters, instead of letting them decide whether he should remain in office.
It is already clear that this traitorous felon engaged in a conspiracy to cheat in another election. His conduct is exceptionally egregious. This wasn’t a single line during a phone call, but rather an extensive plot to subvert American national security interests to benefit tRump and it involved many people spanning many months.
He should be removed as soon as possible.

Just because someone has a particular religion background doesn't always mean that they follow in that tradition.
And can I ask everyone a question - why do most DLers watch MSNBC versus CNN? Of course I've been gay all my life, but is MSNBC for us gays, LOL? Thank you.

by Anonymous | reply 445 | November 19, 2019 8:49 PM |
Putting the draft call transcript in on high security server CANNOT be a clerical error because there’s a security process and a log to do it. One would only do it intentionally. It’s not someplace you can just hide your torrent downloads and MP3s.

Morrison's eye movements are very telling - he's a sociopath.
by Anonymous | reply 448 | November 19, 2019 8:52 PM |
It's almost laughable that these two guys were the strongest defendants of Dump's actions that the repukes could find to testify. I mean, it's amazing.
The new tactic seems to be for the Rs to just completely publicly misrepresent what is stated in the inquiry, per Dump's delusional presser earlier today, and, as we saw in session, not allow the witnesses to answer questions and, instead, shout the false narrative during their 5min segments.
by Anonymous | reply 449 | November 19, 2019 8:54 PM |
It’s nice that Morrison brought his mother to sit next to him.

NOTICE how the repubs are FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER talking about "the american people", "the american public", "the duly elected president by the american people", "trying to overturn the election of the american people" and so on and so on! ANYONE can see this is all so so calculated!..
by Anonymous | reply 457 | November 19, 2019 9:00 PM |
Nunes and Trump both believe all this is for ratings and no other reason. Neither has any concept of laws, legal obligation or the Constitution. It’s just, “if I stick my tongue out on TV and say neener neener, people will look and I win.”

These two are the ones the Republicans wanted to testify, good on Schiff to schedule them in the afternoon few people will stick around to hear them. I think that was Nunes point, which he made badly, they were testifying in the afternoon when the ratings would be lower.

by Anonymous | reply 481 | November 19, 2019 9:44 PM |
R481 The soundbite today was: "were you involved in any bribery scheme?" "No, absolutely not."
by Anonymous | reply 482 | November 19, 2019 9:46 PM |
Nunes and other Repukes constantly mention ratings because it's in their interest to paint the hearings as a circus that no one in the country takes seriously. They've made this absurd claim over and over.
by Anonymous | reply 483 | November 19, 2019 9:46 PM |
Morrison does not come off like a truthful, credible person. There is something off about him. I bet if Vindman went to him instead of the attorney, all off his concerns would have been buried and never made it to this attorney. Why was he concerned about Vindman? What did he do? Where is the evidence? It just seems like character assassination without any proof.

Some of you on DL who don't have any relatives in the cult may not realize how strong their beliefs are. Fox and repubs have DRILLED in their heads these impeachment hearings "are a scam, sham, farce, bullshit" and that "the real corruption is with Joe and Hunter Biden."
I don't know what can be done to bring them out of this trance but deplorables are ANGRY. They think the Democrats are impeaching Trump over nothing. Until the prime time assholes on Fox say Trump did something wrong, they WILL NOT BELIEVE OR ACCEPT IT.

I understood Volker to be saying that he was proceeding on the assumption that Rudy, et. al., were talking about generic Ukrainian corruption, including Burisma, without understanding that the Burisma angle involved the Bidens. And, that when he learned what was really involved — i.e., getting Zelenskiy to participate in domestic US politics by investigating the Bidens — he deemed the request inappropriate.
Morrison, on the other hand, is as shady as fuck, and was clearly trying to thread the needle by saying that there was no quid pro quo — at the same time that he was hiding the meeting notes.

May I just say something about Trump's use of "perfect" call? Trump speaks like a typical ethnic NYer. Like a Lower Eastside Jew from the 50s. So when I see flyover/southern types attempt to dissect it and take it literally, they really aren't getting that he's just speaking like an old school NYer. Joaquin looks and sounds better than Julian. How is that even possible as a twin, LOL?
by Anonymous | reply 570 | November 19, 2019 11:40 PM |
R530 was Syria and the Kurds not Ukraine. Several thousand Ukrainians were killed by Russia on the border with Russia. People shouldn't forget any of it. We shouldn't be forgetting he put children in cages and 2000 of them are still missing.

Isn’t this getting repetitive?
by Anonymous | reply 572 | November 19, 2019 11:42 PM |
One identical twin is always hotter, R571. There’s also one with a better voice.
by Anonymous | reply 573 | November 19, 2019 11:44 PM |
Now Ratcliffe?! This is getting annoying now. Now I feel like I won't watch tomorrow because they have the other people to testify and what if it lasts this long or longer?
by Anonymous | reply 574 | November 19, 2019 11:45 PM |
Funny, looking at Rat Guy, how he's tried to style his hair. Vanity, vanity... we all want to look nice and have people like us. Even crypto-fascists.
by Anonymous | reply 575 | November 19, 2019 11:46 PM |
R574 Sondland tomorrow. The main event.
by Anonymous | reply 576 | November 19, 2019 11:46 PM |
r574, Sondland is tomorrow. That could be can't miss TV.
by Anonymous | reply 577 | November 19, 2019 11:48 PM |
This guy looks annoyed to be there. Or maybe he is hangry.
by Anonymous | reply 578 | November 19, 2019 11:49 PM |
OK, that moment was pretty sketchy. Was that Ratface again insinuating that Vindman is the WB and Morrison's ancient lawyer helping him to do that?
by Anonymous | reply 579 | November 19, 2019 11:50 PM |
R576, good reference to one of my favorite songs by Barbra, haha. But, anyways...he [Sondland] looks like he's a little slow to understand stuff or you have to say it real slow for him to understand first. Maybe it's just the way his face looks to me. Either way...okay, you and R577 talked me into it...I'll watch tomorrow and probably start the thread this time, haha! :P
R578, which guy? Actually it doesn't even matter, because I know I'm hangry right now, haha.
R579, Ratface did indeed. That's why Volker's lawyer interrupted and objected.

From @PalmerReport: How long have today's impeachment hearings been going on? Joaquin Castro didn't have a beard when the day started.
by Anonymous | reply 581 | November 19, 2019 11:52 PM |
Today's hearings are boring and overlong; they've lost the audience at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 582 | November 19, 2019 11:54 PM |
Everyone will watch tomorrow, but Thursday may be a bridge too far....
by Anonymous | reply 583 | November 19, 2019 11:54 PM |
At our family cabin.... kinda douchey.
by Anonymous | reply 584 | November 19, 2019 11:54 PM |
This dude must even exhaust his therapist.

Surely everyone has heard the story of donald's slapping donald, jr. to the floor when he showed up at junior's dorm to accompany him to football game and found his son not in suit and tie, but in casual attire.
The fartard no doubt gets a big kick out of Simian Gym Jordan's antics, but we know he questions all who will listen, "Can't that ape at least put on a suit jacket?"
by Anonymous | reply 586 | November 19, 2019 11:55 PM |
Oh good Gym Jordan again, just when I was missing his combover.
by Anonymous | reply 587 | November 19, 2019 11:55 PM |
I wish those rape victim wrestlers would run a train on Gym Socks.
by Anonymous | reply 588 | November 19, 2019 11:56 PM |
R582 It's cumulative. The sum-total remains significant evidence bribed Ukraine. Dems think that's not good. Reps think it's ok. Dems will impeach him. Sondland tomorrow may be the point where some Rep Senators would vote to remove, or not. Nothing will shift enough Rep Senators to remove (need 16-18). It's all a constitutional crisis and process that will impact he election. Exactly how remains to be seen.

This Jim guy is my least favorite.
Come on Morrison your face says the opposite of what you are saying.
by Anonymous | reply 590 | November 19, 2019 11:59 PM |
Peter Welch is the hot granddaddy I would let touch me, LOL.
by Anonymous | reply 591 | November 20, 2019 12:00 AM |
Is it true that Morrison is so tall that he can tea bag Jordan standing up?
by Anonymous | reply 592 | November 20, 2019 12:00 AM |
Evertime I see Gym Jordan I hear the theme from Bewitched. He looks like Darrin Stephens.
by Anonymous | reply 593 | November 20, 2019 12:01 AM |
Morrison has a "mouth tell" when he anticipates he is about to be rolled.
by Anonymous | reply 594 | November 20, 2019 12:01 AM |
Some day in the future Republicans are going to regret calling the skiff in the basement of the Congress a "bunker" when they are in charge and use it to investigate something they want to.
by Anonymous | reply 595 | November 20, 2019 12:01 AM |
Jordan is a Gremlin.
by Anonymous | reply 596 | November 20, 2019 12:01 AM |
Why is that gnome from Ohio up again?
by Anonymous | reply 597 | November 20, 2019 12:02 AM |
So Morrison covered up for Trump and he's still doing it.
by Anonymous | reply 598 | November 20, 2019 12:04 AM |
Morrison may be in trouble.
by Anonymous | reply 599 | November 20, 2019 12:05 AM |
Finally, my real DADDY is on my screen. He's just so handsome to where he doesn't have to say anything - he just has to stand there.
Anyways, Morrison is hiding something. I think after today he will want to amend his testimony before the cameras and I'm not sure he'll be able to do that. I think that's why one of the Rethugs [

Maloney is my Favorite Gay of the Day.
His wedding pictures are sweet.
by Anonymous | reply 602 | November 20, 2019 12:06 AM |
R599, Why? I’m not watching it. I am now a dried up skeleton on the sofa, covered in cobwebs.
by Anonymous | reply 603 | November 20, 2019 12:07 AM |
^Rethugs wanted to and did introduce the idea of absolute immunity.
R602, link please! TIA!

[quote]But Trump isn’t colorful and lively, like an ethnic New Yorker, [R555]. He doesn’t have the verbal flair of a Italian or Jewish gangster. To the contrary, he has an extremely limited vocabulary, and no imagination. When he uses a new word, it’s an event; people are right to focus on it.
Colorful and lively? It's a limited vocabulary which is what they mostly have and Trump speaks that way, too. Not everything is a Scorsese film.
I'm saying that he does in fact speak like an old time NYer - they do in fact come in both the good and bad variety, but the vocabulary is always the same. I'm around people like him all of the time. I grew up in NY. I'm in no way excusing that pos, but you can't possibly be a NYer if you think he doesn't have the typical vernacular of one who has exactly what you've described: A limited vocab. It's like when someone says "I don't know from that" - that's a very NYer way of speaking.
The guy's businesses have always had him dealing with "ethnic" NYers, that's why he doesn't sound like some Choate grad.

What does DL say about Sean Patrick Maloney? Hot daddy or not?
by Anonymous | reply 606 | November 20, 2019 12:09 AM |
^How exactly is he in trouble? Looks like Morrison isn't telling the truth and everything he knows, but they can't really proof anything.
I also don't get how they all testified that there was no quid pro quo, no extortion and no bribery when everything they described was exactly yhat.
