They are probably expecting Netflix to throw most of it's money behind Marriage Story and The Irishman and after those films, The Two Popes and The Laundromat. It's unfortunate because I thought the trailer was really solid and Tim looked very good in it.

I watched the red carpet live and my impression is that they deliberately avoided each other as best as they could. You'll notice there weren't that many shots of them posing near each other just the 2 of them. There was usually at least 1 other person in the shot.
