I know it's foolish to even engage with the deplorables' arguments, but here's what I don't understand: When the racist dumbfucks at a rally in North Carolina shout "Send her back" about Omar because they think she's un-American, what the fuck is it to them? Omar is not their representative. She's doesn't have to answer to the voters in the rural red South. Unlike Trump, who in theory is supposed to represent the whole country, she only represents the 5th congressional district of Minnesota. And the voters in that district elected her by an overwhelming majority over her Republican challenger (78%-22%), and they gave her a warm welcome when she arrived there yesterday. So the people she represents apparently are just fine with her, regardless of what she may have said or done in her life. If not, they can always vote her out of office. That's how our government works.
